Flash man, I got a look at you one looking eye. Yell timber, watch out for flying glass. Because the ceiling fell in, the bottom fell out. I went into a span and I started the shot. I've been hitting this.
I was walking along, minding my business when love came and hit me in the eye. Flash alas I am out of an orange color. Scy Welcome back midnight viewers when all new pathological venture. Grab yourself some sunset says for a fancy lad snack cake and sit back because you are deep with Invanant seven o two. Welcome all to our newest show, and especially welcome to our patrons who are so generous.
I'm father alone, and I'm not alone out here in the wastes. My co host has got mad survive those skills and a whole bag of st impacts. I am beyond please to introduce you all to Nuka Coda quantum misquantum. How are you? I am fantastic considering the conditions out here today?
But are the rat levels dropping? Not that you want them to? You fucking Google. Exactly for me. It's a good thing they heal me.
For you, Maybe not so much now, as I. Do have a question as a smooth skin. Which category would you put me in? Vault dweller, raider, legionnaire. Oh that's tricky.
Well, I definitely don't. I would not consider you part of the Legion. I hope not. God, I can't take that much discipline. That's there.
They have some views, that's for sure, some views that I can't really get on board with, like me just being a female. Yeah, i'd be a slave. So no to legionnaire, No to the Legion. Yeah, god, there, it's such a fun concept, but it really is one of the darkest factions in the Fallout. Universe for sure.
But I don't know. Maybe you'd be a raider. I don't necessarily see you as a vault dweller either. I think you need to. I'm not enough to be a vault dweller a lone wanderer really, Oh yeah, okay, I'll take that all right.
So you're too everyone, folks. Folks, you're not dealing with a lone wanderer and a ghoul. And we are talking about the Fallout Amazon television series based on the wildly popular video game franchise. A little bit of backstory on our fair game before we go headlong into our discussion. Fallout premiere to nineteen ninety seven, created by Tim Kaine for Interplay Productions.
It was based I want to say loosely but Come nineteen eighty Eight's a Wasteland, a turn based PC game set in the post apocalypse. It also drew elements from the Mad Max franchise and more than a little inspiration from A Boy and his Dog, a nineteen seventy five underrated sci fi film based on the short story by Harlan Ellison that found a man named Vic wandering a post apocalyptic wasteland with his psychically bonded dog Blood, complete with an underground vault of former wealthy and privileged it. The game also drew heavily on post World War two America, embracing its retro futurist design aesthetic. Fallout was a massive hit, spawning Fallout two and Brotherhood of Steel. Those were both similarly trimetric presentations, but everything changed in two thousand and eight.
That's when Bethesda takes over and the developers embraced what they had wanted to do, along Fallout three as a first person shooter and You are the Vault dweller. This was followed by new Vegas in twenty ten and finally Sheltered twenty fifteen and Fallout seventy six back in twenty eighteen. Attempts at turning this into a feature film started as early in night as nineteen ninety eight, when Brent Friedman turned into treatment for a proposed in house film adaptation. I've read it. It's fucking horrible.
But they didn't have any idea. But I'll say it again, but they didn't have any idea how far the horizon would span and how deeply the world would expand in the later years. Now, before we put on our pit boys, I want to know your history was Fallout coda. Yeah, So I started playing when I was I don't know, fifteen, maybe God a veteran shut No Fallout three. So I've never even touched one or two.
I know a little bit about the history behind it, but three was where I started. And I feel like that's probably common for a lot of people in my age bracket. New Vegas was huge for me. I know there's a lot of Fallout fans who hate New Vegas. They think Obsidian did a terrible job compared to Bethesda, But New Vegas is, like, my favorite.
Is that a thing. I'm unaware it's totally a thing. Yeah, so many people shit. All over New Vegas and I'm like, this is like my favorite game ever. To be fair, I've only played New Vegas, folks.
Oh that's crazy. Yeah, No, there's definitely differences in the games. Recently, I had been playing a lot of New Vegas and I just went back to Fallout four and the controls themselves are just so different that it was throwing me off. I was like, this is ampletely different, fucking Wasteland. But New Vegas.
And then Fallout four, which came out a few years back as well, was huge and really changed the game for Fallout with the way you could basically build communities. There's a certain faction and they're the Minutemen, and you go around and you try to build and save all these communities and create connections through them. Basically you are rebuilding the Wasteland, which is the entire goal of the game, just while being part of the minute Men. So the entire series up until that point that was just a far off dream, right. It was always based missions that you were going on that had nothing to do with actually getting humanity back up into the fucking planet and taking back over.
So you're saying Fallout four, that's what that's when that started happening. Yeah, yeah, that Fallout four. And then also they opened it up with Fallout seventy six as well, you could play online. Everything else before had been just first person and you're by yourself. I don't have any experience playing seventy six.
I myself would be alone wanderer in that sense. I prefer to play by myself. But I've just recently found out there is a way you could play seventy six by yourself, So I'm going to look into that and start playing. Because part of it takes place in Appalachia, and I believe there are commutated cryptids and things like that, and I don't know a lot about it, and I really want to get into. That, but yeah, i'd say I can't.
I don't even know how. To put them in an order of what my favorite would be, but I knew Vegas has to be my favorite. I really do love it. It tends to be the one you play the most or replay the most. Yeah.
Yeah, As far as me, I didn't know anything about the goddamn game. I mean, I had heard of it. I had seen commercials when they were sort of doing New Vegas, and that's kind of when it piqued my interest because I wasn't still live in Las Vegas. But I gotta say I'm a fair weather friend because I didn't start playing this game until I heard that they had turned the They were turning it into a television series, and not only that, but the guys who made West World were turning it into a television series, and I thought, I better start playing this fucking game. So that's the totality of my Fallout persona is New Vegas.
Everybody. That's awesome though that just the fact that you saw the show coming out people involved made you want to pick up one of the games. I think that's fucking cool because there's a lot to the Fallout universe. It's a huge fandom, so bringing new people in, I think that's fucking awesome. Yeah.
Now, I don't think like you need to have played the game and to enjoy that series even a little bit, but I will say it did benefit me quite a bit from fucking around and Elco and Las Vegas and New Vegas and the whole thing to recognize things that are more important to gamers than necessarily that the casual viewer would have picked up. So I do encourage everyone to play the game. It's fucking awesome, man, Like, I don't know what to tell you. If you're a first person shooter guy, then it's for you. Yeah, yeah, And I mean there's so many different elements to a Horror is a huge element of Fallout.
Just honestly, with the ghules alone. In a Fallout three, there is a community that I believe is called the Underworld and it's in one of the old like Boston Museum, the ruins of the museum out there, and it's just a community of ghules so they can go about living their lives without all these fucking smooth skins and shit trying to kill them or whatever it may be. But yeah, there's the mutated creatures alone. Sometimes they're terrifying. Have you seen a death claw?
That's terrifying. Yeah. I look, rad roaches scare me. When I'm play in the game, I see a scorpion coming, I run. So yeah, there's a lot of horror in this game, honestly.
Yeah. A lot of horror carries over into the series too. As a matter of fact. Yeah, and a lot of the sort of cheeky, kind of self referential humor that sort of worked into those games. Now, Fallout one and two took place in the Los Angeles area.
Yeah, Fallout three takes place in Washington, d C. I believe, yeah, around there that Virginia, Washington DC area, the capital wasteland. So then there was Fallout in New Vegas, which I lived in Los Angeles. I live in Las Vegas. Fallout four took place in Boston.
I grew up in Boston and then so I've lived in half of the locations for the Fallout series, so. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, and what's great is that they're visiting them in the television series and I'm like, fuck, yeah, there we go. Yeah, that's the Santa Monica pier. I was gonna say, Fallout four is fun to play.
I've never been to Boston, but I would like to go. And just one of the biggest cities in the game, Diamond City, is in the ruins of Fenway Park. I read that. I can't wait to play it. Yeah, just stuff like that.
It's so much fun and when you actually have been there. That's my connection with New Vegas. I've been there, so it's like, oh, this is so cool. That's right. Cota is a former desert dweller here in Las Vegas itself.
That's where we met. Actually, so we've been friends for what thirteen fourteen fucking years. Now, Yeah, something like that. Oh my god, world, hello there. I'm here to show you a wonderful place, a veritable camelot, the nuclear age not made by God Almighty.
But the working man. You can be a hero by pursing a residence in a vault tech vault today, because if the worst had happened tomorrow, the world is going to need you to build a better day after. The mission of the vaults should be important to everyone. To come up to the surface one day and restart civilization. You told me what's happened in the last two hundred years.
Holy shit, you're an actual vaultweller. I am. I bought all e Gyptis for dinner. What you're doing is insane. I don't simple word.
It isn't like the vault out there. It's big. I want to storm. That's a rough week. Practically every person I've met up here, let's try to kill me.
I'm simply going to harvest your welcomes. You need to go home. You come from a world of rules of flaws. You should not be alone. Why did you join the brotherhood to hurt the people who hurt me?
People are going to come after you. Ain't much stays clean up head vaulty. Well, now that is a very small drop in a very very large bucket of drugs. Look out at this wasteland. It looks like chaos, but there's always somebody behind the wheel.
What is happening here? Everyone wants to save the world. They just. Disagree on. How there you are?
You little killer. And your. Ladies and gentlemen. Followed Episode one, The End That is the title of this episode. It was released on April the tenth, twenty twenty four.
Now I'm gonna stop saying that at the beginning of every episode because this is a streaming series and they dropped them all at once, so now you know the data. It was released April tenth, twenty twenty four. Now The End was written by Geneva Robertson, Dwatt, Dwarrett, and Graham Wagner, starring Ela Pronell, Aaron Molten, Kyle McLachlan, Serita Shoudry, Leslie Ugghams, Michael Christopher, Johnny Pendleton, and Walton Goggins as Cooper Howard the ghoul Koona. I'm just obsessed with the goal right off the bat. But so just you have to know how excited I was, for like, when I found out they were dropping the show, I couldn't be more excited.
I have a little bit of history and experience with acting and whatnot, and being a teenager playing the games. I had always wish they would make it into a TV show or a movie or something, and I almost didn't believe it when I heard the news. I was like, is it April first? Because this can't be real. So, sitting on.
The couch watching this first episode, the way it opens is so reminiscent of playing Fallout four. You start as just you pick your gender, so you're either the housewife or the husband, and you have this perfect little home you're creating and a kid and all that, and you see it similarities in this birthday party scene. So it's Cooper Howard and his daughter dressed like cow pokes, as they would say, entertaining the I don't know how to how mean I want to be when I say this, but like this upper middle class, white. Privileged, privileged, fucking dickheads. That's who they are.
They are, and. They've got a beautiful mid century modern house. But that's the norm in this world because the nineteen fifties never ended in followed. Even though the show starts in the twenty first century, it's still basically nineteen fifties America, except all the technology has come up a bit. We got Nat King Cole playing and I yes, Orange Colored Sky, Yes.
My absolute favorite song in the series. So the fact that's what they opened the show with was just like, as a fan of the Games, I was like, oh, hell, yes, let's do this. And even as a fan of the game, at first, you have no idea who Cooper Howard is. This is a brand new character to the series or the franchise, but they immediately start dropping bombs, no pun intended with the so the music first off, but then you see the mom and her little house dress running around and she her main priority is making sure her son has a good birthday, even though the news is talking about the war going on, and there's a weather man who's like, well, how am I supposed to do the weather if I don't know if there's such tomorrow, and she's just like, no, we're ignoring that.
It's only happy thoughts today. That's me in the Fallout universe, by the way. Yeah, yeah, well I see. Okay, it's funny because there's a lot of parallels to like today's actual reality. But we don't have to get into that.
You all know how scary it all is. We don't need to take you there. Yeah. I would like to point out that Cooper and his daughter their cow poke outfits have a blue and yellow color scheme. Yes, yes they do.
There's a reason for that. I don't want to drop all that information just yet. We just know that it's there, everybody. Yes, that was intentional. I like to there's a beautiful moment between Cooper and his daughter where he's explaining the thumbs up.
As you'll see the vault Boy thumbs up guy throughout the show, but he's a huge part of the game. He's everywhere you use. When you're in the game, you have your pit boy on your arm, which is basically your command center for everything, and that's your little logo guy. So the fact that they're explaining the thumbs up right away is perfect. It ties everything in they start with Easter eggs.
Right off the. Bat, with dropping Grognak is the cartoon the kids are watching, and those are comics that you can collect throughout the game, as well as many other books that give you certain advantages while you're fighting or doing science or whatever. But yeah, right off the bat with this scene. Sugar Bombs presents Grognac the Barbarian. Yes, sugar Bombs.
How could I miss that one? It's just yeah, they it's the detail is there? So as a fan right off the bat, I could tell for sure. As a casual fan, I do want to point out some of the other things that appear in this scene that she's talking about. The little Easter eggs.
In the game, we've got radiation king, radios and TVs. Everyone has a Brownie camera, there's a well I think that's pretty much it for that scene. But those are little things that mean absolutely nothing to you if you haven't played the game, but make you feel like you're being held by somebody who knows what they're doing once you see them. That as a perfect way to put that. Absolutely, Yeah, it's in the right hands for sure, and.
That yeah, those capable hands. Ultimately, and now I mentioned our show runners, however, Jonathan Ward now Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. They were actually the creators of the West World television series. And Jonathan Nolan, of course is brother of Christopher Nolan and wrote everything that's good. If you've seen a movie of Christopher Nolans and actually enjoyed it, it's because his brother was involved.
So then he went off and created this mind bending version of a fucking remake of a fucking movie from the early nineteen seventies and turns that into an instant classic. So when I heard they were on board with this, I was just like, oh, man, someone's gonna fucking take this seriously, and goddamn aren't they. And not only that, but to get the tones so right, because this scene is fucking horrifying. Oh god. Yeah.
Yeah. The house that we're talking about is on a mountaintop overlooking Los Angeles, and it's a future, a retro future Los Angeles, so we know what it is, but it seems a little different. There are different skyscrapers involved, and they fucking blow it all up. Man. It's the worst because it's one of those situations where one character notices and nobody else does what is that?
Oh, and it's a child that. A child who has just been taught the thumb trick, and the thumb trick is. Yeah, like, oh, I'm glad I learned this information sixty seconds ago. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
If you hold up your thumb and it's bigger than a mushroom cloud, then you've got a good chance of getting to a safe distance. If the explosion, however, is bigger than your thumb, you don't even bother running. Yep, you're screwed. That's so that's crazy too, because when this happens, it's so sad you have we don't really know quite what's going on yet. As we move into the later episodes, you get a little more detail on this situation where Cooper is with his daughter right before.
The bombs drop. There are those asshole dads at the party that are just talking shit behind Cooper's back. They drop a comment about like, oh, he's only here because he needs to pay alimony, and the daughter's like, what's that mean? And they make some snide comments and one of the shitty white dads, I don't even know if it's like credited as like Dad one, Dad two. I have no fucking idea.
They're just the shitty white dads. Well, actually one of them. There's shitty white dad and the shitty black friend. So talking about Cooper Howard and these moments with his daughter where he's obviously just trying to get through the day, get through the job. There's a reason he.
Needs to, despite these people who seem to be higher class than him looking down on him. Right leads us to. This moment where all his daughter wants is a piece of cake. So that's when he leaves her alone to go get a piece of birthday cake for her, and she is the sole person who sees this bomb for the first time, and he comes out and doesn't believe her, and that hit me hard the moment. I don't know, it probably was more not wanting to believe that, oh shit, they just did it because he knows, he fucking knows stuff, but we don't know that yet, so they I guess too.
As a parent, I would understand being like, oh no, that's just smoke. You're making too much of it, which I think is why he could have acted faster, but he couldn't at the same time, because he was frozen by the reality of what was happening. As soon as that glass breaks the windows on the house. The glass breaks, all these kids are getting shattered, them in their birthday cakes covered in glass. That's when I think the real theme of the waste starts.
Immediately. We're not even in apocalypse mode yet, but immediately it's like every man for themselves. And that's when we see the initial birthday boys family run to their fallout shelter, and you had the white dad and the black dad and at first they're all buddy making fun of Cooper Howard, but then the friend tries to get into the fallout shelter and he gets punched in the face. Like immediately it was like, oh, I didn't like you that much. I'm not saving your life.
And I think that's it's absolutely perfect because it follows characters throughout the entire game, throughout the show. That's just the theme. You're there to protect yours and. Your own, not much else. But we see what it's like for someone who does want to help other people in the wasteland.
With the character of Lucy, who will get to So I think that's a really awesome perspective. All right, everything's done, everybody. There was a huge fucking war. Everyone's murdered, everyone's mutated, and now we're going to jump ahead a little, and by a little, I mean two hundred and nineteen years. It's such a span of time that as soon as we cut to what we cut to, I thought, maybe we should have just started to hear and hadn't that be a flashback?
But of course, dramatically that was the greatest way to start any television series. But here we are, and we are in the vault. Which vault we in? So this is Vault thirty three. It's part of this like try community of vaults.
You have aut thirty one, Vault thirty two, and Vault thirty three. We'll learn more about the other two as we go on, but thirty three is our starting vault, which is a very Their whole thing is kind of following the Golden Rule, treating others how you would want to be treated. They take pride in helping each other be in this very well well, really it's their goal is reclamation day, so they know that they are there to rebuild society in a civilized way so that when reclamation day comes, they can all go out to the surface and repopulate. Once the rad levels have dropped it off. However, two hundred and nineteen years later, it really is your hope is hanging on by a fucking threat at this point, you'd think, But they start with Lucy, who couldn't be a more optimistic character, you know what I mean?
Definitely, her naivety is going to come out as we go, but they did such an excellent job with the way they introduced her character. She's talking to a council of people in her vault about being a part of this triannual trade. So basically, one vault in another vault will trade vault dwellers for things like seeds or parts whatever they may need in their vault, and then they give a breeder so they can start to repopulate. There's a lot of mention of like cousin. Stuff in the game.
In the vault, they're like, oh, cousins stuff is well and good when you're a kid, but it's not a long term, sustainable sexual practice. So that also gives us a little bit of insight into the reality of what this is for generations to be growing up in basically a building no exit. So just with this introduction of talking about the tri annual trade. They give great set details and overview of their day to day lives. Things they do down there.
At one point, Lucy's talking about how she likes to go on walks with her dad, and they're just sitting on the couch pedaling these little foot pedals. It's fantastic the way they covered the life of what it's like. To be a vaul dweller. I think they did such a good job. It is an amazing introduction for a character, because we get a character who effectively gets to tell us everything about them and then gives us a montage that eases us into their world by just random shots.
By the time she stops speaking, we know exactly who these people are and what they're doing. And in fact, the character of Lucy I would describe her as if you watched all of those nineteen fifties educational films on how you're supposed to be a good person, that's Lucy. Yeah, absolutely smart, which funny, polite, communicative, like just the perfect girl, like the bright and shiny. She would be wearing a bow in her hair if it was the nineteen fifties. Yeah.
Yeah, that's why they did such a great job, because that's exactly the energy, the vibe they're trying to give off for how they want to recreate the world, the type of person they want to recreate. It's very specific who they want repopulating, right, Yeah, yeah, No, they did a great job. Indeed they did. Now what she's applying for. She's applying to her council because she believes that she has moved up and that she deserves to get married at this point, and when the trade happens, that breeders should be hers.
What I liked as a fan of the game is that when they approved her, she got a new level sound from her pit. Boy yes and again taking it back to the little pit boy thumbs up guy. You see his logo on there, which again great that they already kind of introduced that in the beginning. So I think if you don't know that fact about how it's connected to the bombs dropping, you're just like, why is this guy giving me a thumbs up all the time? You know what's funny.
Before I knew what the game was at all, I knew that symbol that's the symbol for Fallout, the little thumbs up guy, and I always thought it was just being ironic, like hey, and everything great in the middle of a bugst apocalypse. But there's an actual, like practical reason for the thumb. Yeah, yeah, I think that's great. Yeah. Do you want to talk about getting into the trade itself and the wedding.
I'd like to talk about her dad and I'd like to talk about her brother. Okay, just to mention who they are, because her dad is the overseer of the vault, so he's the head haun chum man in charge. Her dad is Hank McLean, played by the always fantastic Kyle McLachlan. Is there anything he's bad in? No?
Does he enliven everything? Yes? Do I like him as a villain and a hero? Yes? And her little brother is Norman.
Norman we get to it just in one of those montages get to see him playing atomic command. He can play Atomic command. That he's playing Atomic Command on his pit boy. Yeah. No, I mean, I just wanted to mention that because they're instrumental and the relationship between Lucy and her dad is kind of the crux of the entire thing.
Yes, which I mean, if you know about the Follout games, most of the storylines are you wandering the wastelands to save a family member, i e. Your dad, Like that's fallout three. You're basically out looking for your dad so you can get a water chip that's will purify water for the wasteland, you know what I mean. So they very. Much followed that theme as well for the TV show once we get to how much you see Lucy does care about her father yet if it's right.
In, I do want to point out just another little detail that I really loved, which is they have one wedding dress and all the names of all the brides are written inside. I thought that was such a fucking thoughtful thing. Exactly. It was a extremely thoughtful detail because realistically, what are they going to have a wedding dress shop where they can go and pick. I'm sure it's been tailored throughout the two hundred and nineteen years that it's been down there, but shit, also, that is in a really good condition for being like a two hundred year old fucking wedding dress.
Man. If there's anything they know how to do in the vault, it's preserved things. Well, yeah, you bring up a good point. No, I was going to say on during Lucy's introduction the way she's going over all of these skills that she's acquired throughout her life in the vault. It's not super obvious, but it is kind of reminiscent of special.
When you start a game, you have to pick your attributes, which in Fallout is special your strength, perspective, endurance, charisma, agility, intelligence, luck, And it seems like she might have a pretty balanced array of those numbers. I think in certain areas she definitely has more luck. But when it comes to Norman, I feel like his character would be very high in the more science attributes. Really, he doesn't really have a lot of charisma. He probably has some luck in there.
I don't think his agility is that great. But that's just something interesting too to look at when you're seeing these characters and their different personalities and skill sets, to think about what their special numbers would be. Like, I love that you're doing that, and I want you to do that for every fucking character we meet. Yeah, yeah, so that's fun. But yeah, So.
Inside the vault, they have a common area, Like the vault is an attempt to recreate a form of life that you had above the surface, So there is a giant common area where it's spacious enough that they're projecting against the back walls. What is It's Kansas basically. And it's Nebraska. Well it's Nebraska, thank you. So what it feels like when you're out there, and they take pains to reveal it after the fact, is that it does feel It should feel like you're outdoors and it goes from night to day, and it's revealed that it's being done through projectors, giant old school thirty five millimeter projectors.
It's actually sixty five millimeters. What I noticed. And the only reason I bring that up is because I was a projectionist for twenty years and I got to say they but they must have a lot of equipment down there, because they were going to have to recreate that film every three months. That film would degrade like that. So anyway, calling you out, calling you out, fallout of people.
You might know that a nuclear shockwave will not knock a person over but break glass behind them, but you didn't know about sixty five millimeter film. Well, damn, I learned something too. I had no idea. They must have a huge stockpile of that then, or it's only used for special events. That's the only thing I can think of, like when it's a big deal they put out the immersive film.
Yeah, oh, that's a crazy fact. You got them. Let me see where are we? Oh we got a brief flashback of Lucy's mom. We do, yeah, very little about her.
Really. All you get is an image. There's not a lot going on in the background. There's what appears to be a light or sunshine. We're not really sure yet.
We just know she's not in the picture anymore. Yeah, and I think this is the only mention we're going to get of her for like two whole fucking seasons. So when I was rewatching and I really took note of it. Well, they we do. I don't want to say anything yet.
Oh okay, never mind, don't listen to me, listeners. No, there's stuff, but we're only on episode one, so I don't want to drop too much. Oh yeah, okay, no problem, no problem, Yeah, all right. Let's Oh. One little bit of foreshadowing I thought was nice is that there is a don't lose your head poster that may or may not figure into future plots.
I'm just saying that's true. Now it is, Okay, it's time for the trade. Chet is the gatekeeper, good shit cousin, Lucy's cousin. Yes, it's made painfully clear Lucy's cousin because he doesn't want Lucy to marry anyone but him, but she can't get their cousins. Come on, man, inbreeding in the vault must be a fucking horrible nightmare.
Yeah, and again, this will be a whole thing later in the show. And I think what they did with it is hilarious and I can't wait to talk about that. But yeah, huge. Theme is in breeding and whether or not you're four or against it. Because that's an option in twenty one seventies.
All right, let's talk. Okay, we open the vault. We're gonna meet Vault thirty two, now thirty three, Fault thirty three. Yeah, so we're in vault thirty three. So Vault thirty two is who we're meeting, right, and it's it's kind of tense, you like, we don't.
I'm trying to go back. I've watched it a few times now, so I'm trying to go back to remember what it felt like the first time I watched it, because now I know things, so I understand the little nuances behind characters doing certain things, but it is a very intense, awkward situation, and the way thirty two walks out immediately made me feel icky, like there's red flags, like something is not right here. So we see Lee Maldaver come out first. I don't remember the actress's name. Who plays her, Sita Shawdri thank you.
So she's the first one to be like, I am the overseer of Vault thirty two in her and Hank speak, and to me, it just seems like, such like there there's something wrong, there's something off. Hank can tell, but you have no frickin' idea why Hank is acting the way he's acting. He makes a comment like. Oh, I was so sad to hear of the other overseers passing in an email, and it's just you can tell something's off. They're not really showing anybody else.
They're talking about all right, let's do our trade. Hank's like, I got some seed and I think some parts for you. Lee does mention their vault had like a wheat blight or something like that. Basically the crops were knocked out and that's why they lost their overseers. So they're just struggling.
But this is going to help them get back on their feet, and that Lucy kind of just interrupts like, mmm, so who am I marrying? Yeah? Remember the purpose of all this? Yeah, and I do. I think it is funny how Lee Moldaver.
She's like, we brought you a breeder, just the name, the term, being like, oh, this is your breeder. Where trading? That's fucking funny to me. But you see him walk out and it's a relatively attractive looking male, and I just my gut, as a fan of the show, told me that's not a vault dweller. Like I knew right off the bats.
Some was not fucking right. But no one knows what's up. We're just we're about to have a party. Let's bring everyone into our vault so we can have this wedding. They go on with it, and there's multiple things that the first time around I noticed that.
I was like, the way they eat, the way some of them use utensils is strange. A lot of stabbing, a lot. Of stabbing, just that there. Some of them are ravenous, Like I think even the breeder character Monty, they're sitting down and he's eating and he's just like shoveling food into his face, and it's like, I think we have enough of an understanding to know that anyone in Vault thirty one, thirty two, thirty three would be acting a certain way trying to recreate civil They wouldn't be this feral manner. Yeah, feral.
So it's just it's awkward. You can tell it's strange. The characters are looking at each other like, Okay, this is a little off now they I don't know how intentional this was, because a lot of the quote unquote vault dwellers from thirty two have tattoos all over them. They've got a lot of visible scars. Now, I think the visible scars is a great touch, because as a raider you are going to be cut up and scarred like that.
But the tattoo part was really interesting because I don't really recall any part of follow out with ever seeing a character with tattoos. But then I have to think of in reality what the casting would be like, and if that's just kind of like the type of person you would cast to play someone who was supposed to be a raider and not like a civilized vault dweller. But I thought that had to be a red flag because do the vault dweller of thirty three even know what like a tattoo gun is? You know what I mean? I feel like if I was someone in thirty three, I would immediately be questioning, like.
What is that? How did you do that? Tell me about this? What's happened by? Is there pictures on your skin?
I just I don't know. I think it's that was kind of a little off for me, but I do understand it. I don't know if maybe I'm just trying to come to terms with it and be okay with it. That like, no one questions that you have tattoos? I don't.
Yeah, that's an excellent point because as a fan of Look, I played the game, but I was completely suckered by this entire thing. I recognized the tension and I knew something was off, but I didn't know quite how bad it was off. Rewatching it now, I'm like, oh, okay, I get it, particularly when Hank keeps talking about all the prosperity and how they're gonna all the record mate, when we come back up and we're going to take over. Just the looks that the Raiders are sharing with each other like, can you believe this shit? That was great?
That? Oh yeah, that moment was fantastic because you can read their minds, especially if you have played the games or you are rewatching. It's like, these fucking assholes don't even know what's up there. Yeah, you can read their minds through their looks. It was so well done, man, it really is all right.
So take us there, where are we going? Well, of course, Lucy and Monty just got married. So and Monty has like three lines in this whole episode, and one of them, he goes up to his new wife, show me my new home again. Looks are exchange. You see him and Lee moldaver and it's like, okay, shit's just getting weirder.
So they go back to their little sweeter apartment or whatever, and Lucy's super excited, being like, this is our home. We're gonna have a family here. Look at all this the hand me downs we got and she turns around and he is naked. He has taken his suit off, and this is where we get one of her her famous one liner, I guess is oki dokie, And so they immediately go into it because yay, it's not cousins stuff. Anymore.
It's the real thing. After this scene, this is when whatever red flags I had originally saw before I now was confirmed. I was like, one hundred percent, these are fucking raiders because this man gets on a bed and wipes his dick off on a curtain. That's a big red flag for a vault Weller behavior. I didn't know.
It has to be right, like yeah, in the moment I was the first time watching it, my suspicion was the Raiders or something, but I wasn't entirely sure where it was going. And then when I saw that, I was like, one, shit's about to hit the fan, And certainly it does in a moment, and I think it's so funny. And this really speaks to Lucy and again how naive she is, or maybe she again just didn't want to be truthful with herself in the moment because she was supposed to be having the best day of her life. She sees him drink from a vase, a flower vase, and that not him five seconds ago wiping himself off on a curtain, but that him drinking from a vase is what gets her up to put on her pit boy and realize that he's radiated and he's from the surface, and then that's what I start fighting.
So that's funny. That is the cup he's drinking from. That. She's like, wait a minute. What's funny is when he did that, I went at My first thought was what an unusual glass, and then they kept looking at it and I went, that's not a glass at all.
What was he doing? Hilarious? Oh my god. Yeah, so great moment there. Of course, he attacks Lucy, thinking it's probably gonna be easy to kill her.
But going back to the beginning, we realized she has a very large skill set, so she actually knows what she's doing when it comes to some sort of combat. Taking the vase, breaking it and slashing it over his face. Fantastic. I think that showed survival skills. It's a fuck yeah moment.
Mm hmm, yeah, that's fantastic. And my thought then was you stupid motherfucker. You provided your own murder weapon. That's true, Yeah, yeah he did, and I think too. There's a moment during this I don't remember, it has to be before his face is slashed up.
He says to her, this really was the best day of my life. And that hit me so hard. Because if you think of the complete differences between someone who would have grown up in a vault and someone who was born into the waste slam, like what where are we twenty two ninety six, So he was probably born and let's say like twenty two seventy or something like that, Right, you were born into a wasteland. Probably as a raider, you've seen fucked up shit. You have absolutely no manners, you don't know how to act and civilization.
So this man getting this opportunity to like wear clean clothes and eat wedding cake and have sex not in a pile of dirt, like it probably was really the best day of his life. But just like a light switch, it's like, well now I have to kill you because that's life. That's what it is. So I think that too speaks volumes on the game, and that the people involved in making this really understand the different perspectives. I know, as a player, I always wanted to play as a raider, and a lot of the games you can get home and decorate it, and there's a raider theme which is just like blood and Gore.
Basically, it's not a lot to it, but it's basically like body parts, And in Fallout four there is a DLC nukal World, so the Nuka Cola theme park, and it's taken over by different factions of Raiders, And when you do that DLC you can become a raider. And if you decide to go that route, once you go back and play the rest of the game, the other factions will attack you because they know you're a raider now, so it completely changes the way you can play the game. And I love that they added that in Fallout four, and I love that in the show you do get to see these human moments from what people would consider the villains the bad guys, but it really is just every man trying to survive this apocalypse.
It is a brutal, fucking world. We're been to. The relative calm of the Vault will bring us no solace once we cut to the exterior for the first time, which brings us to our Oh. By the way, I didn't point out, all of our chapters are basically chapter headed, So the overall name of this episode was the End. But when we met Lucy gave it.
We were given a title card to Lucy, and when we step into our second act, we meet our secondary character there. This is a show about three characters. Ultimately, we just met Lucy. We're about to meet our second lead. His name is Maximus.
Where are we coda? Oh god, Okay, we're with the Brotherhood of Steel. But by the way, I would be part of the Brotherhood of Steel. I wouldn't be alone. I'd be a cleric.
I hate the brother. So right off the bat, first time watching this episode, Maximus comes on, I immediately know what it is, and I'm immediately like, ugh, of course we have to have the Brotherhood of Steel. It's fucking fallout. So I have such a love hate relationship with this. I'm just not a fan.
I'm not a fan of these people. And they basically their whole goal is to find and preserve advanced pre war technology. They think that they need to collect it to keep it out of the wrong hands. With that being said, they will do anything to justify that. So the morals are very much gray.
They're in a gray area a lot of the times when it comes to the Brotherhood of Steel. Anything different Mutated Supermuni Ghoule since which haven't even been introduced in the show yet. I don't know if they're going to be but that's in the games. Wow, that's all abominations, an abomination to science. So it's the Brotherhood of Steel is so interesting because you get there's these very religious vibes and themes, but they're not religious.
If anything, they worship science and technology and that has become their religion. It's a beautiful bit of a contradiction there that it is a science based religion. Yeah, absolutely, which I mean I can get behind the contradiction, but the Brotherhood of Steel has just always pissed me off anyway. So we see Maximus right who he's just he's just an aspirant. He's low level Brotherhood of Steel.
Like a boot camp soldier almost, you know what I mean. He's obviously not very popular. We see him getting beat up a. Lot, hazy jumping him. Yeah, just picking on the little guy.
Yeah, exactly. I don't know if we've had flashbacks how early they are. With him, but almost instantly is it? Almost instantly? Okay?
Cool? So we do see him as a little boy in what seems to be wreckage and being saved by someone in power armor. So we get this whole vibe that that's kind of like his whole thing. He was rescued by them. He was taken in.
Now he is trying to work his way through the Brotherhood of Steel. Now, okay, so you said you would be a cleric. Why why would you be a Brotherhood of Steel cleric? Because I love technology, and I love religion, and I love not being out in the wasteland. I love being surrounded by all of this armor and people with machine guns, and I just want to be saved code leave me alone.
No. See, it's so funny because I have the complete opposite opinion, because I'm like, fuck your power armor. Give me some fucking leather armor, some metal armor. We'll piece some shit together. It'll be fine.
So there are people who make the point, especially in Fallout four, that the Brotherhood of Steel is the best faction to do with to finish, to go with to finish the game because of those perks. You get access to the better power armor, you get, the weapons, you get the jet pack, you can use their Vertebird, which is this fancy ass armor helicopter. Basically all those things you wantn't have access to. So I guess if you're looking at it from Ultimate Survival, it would be one of the better factions to go with. But I don't know.
There's a rebel in me that is, like, I'd rather be a fucking raider or some shit. No, I don't want to go through boot camp or anything. I just want to be a cleric. I just want to slide my way in there and then just dictate policy and eat warm meals. Yeah, I don't see.
I don't know if you can do that. I think you have to. I probably have to kill a bunch of mutants and a bunch of children and all this fucking horrible shit. I know. Look, I like it as an idea because I'm a comfortable human being who just wants the nicer things in life.
And I would not survive the apocalypse. It's fair. Okay. So my first impression of Maximus watching the first season the first time around, the entire season I hated him. I do have a different viewpoint on him now, but the entire season I was like, I hate this character.
Bring the Ghoul back, like, let's move on, you know what I mean. He came off as just like selfish and whiny and childish and immature and just all these things, and I'm like, God, your character is exhausting. I don't want to have a conversation with this character. The more I've rewatched it, the more I have this understanding now, and I actually see a lot of the character to be to have more parallels and be more similar. I think Maximus has been brainwashed with the Brotherhood of Steel just as much as vaultwellers are brainwashed in their vaults.
So I see it for more of that perspective that he needed the Brotherhood of Steel to survive. He had to, like you were saying, for a warm meal, for a roof over his head. So there is a reason he is the way he is. And I think, oh, I don't know if it's this episode or the next one. I think it's the next one.
I have the next episode, I have a point on what you just what you were saying about the warm meal, the power armor, and how you would have to work your way to I. Do think you're right though, like what we're dealing with, like the Ghul is the Ghul, and we'll get to him and his knowledge because there's nothing there is no arc for him as far as reality versus fantasy. But really our other two leads are on a collision course with that because Lucy believes that everything is perky and fun and bright, and when she gets up there, she'll be welcomed like a conquering hero. And Maximus, who had this obviously very formative moment when everything was lost and a Brotherhood of Steel night came and saved him.
That would turn your head around forever, and you would think they were the greatest fucking people on earth because they came and they saved you. So yeah, man, the things you learn in your youth, they come back to bite you when you finally have to step out and be an adult message. Yeah, I don't like, I don't have much more to say. I'm the brother heard of Steel at this moment, right, I think they did a good job. We're just getting an introduction here basically.
Yeah. Yeah. Although we do meet Dane, Max's only friend at the at the camp, we also meet I don't know his name, shit, it's the Johnny Pembleton character, Thatteus. We also meet Thatteus who is played by Johnny Pembleton, who I don't know if anyone knows him. I mean, he's a stand up comic, but I know him from twenty one Jump Street, where I thought he was fucking hilarious.
And I know him from the show Superstart. Oh okay, that's right. He played some like a weirdo boyfriend or something like that. Yep, yep. Yeah.
So I just setting the stage for this aspect because we're going to come back to the Brotherhood of Steel even without Maximus from time to time. And okay, did we do we go from him straight back to Lucy leaving the Vault? Yeah, because I believe so, because the Ghoule is. Not tell is the final act. Yeah, he's the final scene.
Okay, so when do they do the razor boot, I'm gonna mention that it's like. I think it's like Vault Brotherhood Vault. Okay, b all right, So that's our basic introduction. That's our basic introduction to Maximus. And then we cut back to Lucy to see where she's progressed to and where is that.
Well, so they do after you know, that brutal fight in the Vault where it seems like a lot of Vault dwellers and raiders were killed. They don't really tell you exactly where they all are yet or what's going on, but they're now what seems to be at a calm moment where everyone has gathered in their communal area and Lucy has something to say. Oh wait, I skipped apart, hold on, we gotta go back, we gotta go back. No, so rewind. What happens is.
Lucy, after she kills or assumes she kills her new husband, goes out to help save other vault dwellers, her brother, She helps hide him. The husband, Monty did not die. He comes back out through revenge. But this is where she's saved by her dad, which I think is an important moment for their relationship as well. So they team up basically, and he gets a message on his pit boy that the exterior vault door has been opened, and they rush and Lee Moldaver and her raiders have maybe six or seven other vault dwellers there hostage.
You have the one. Oh, I can't remember her name. She's an important character too, but. Her name is. Her name is Steph.
Steph, thank you that's correct. Yeah, so Steph. She the poor thing. She's freaking pregnant holding her. Eye her now missing eye.
Yeah, during the fight, that was crazy. But so they're all under hostage, and basically Lee is like, I'll give you a choice. Hank your daughter or all of your people, and I think Lee knew exactly what he was going to do. This was planned the entire time. That's why she was standing there by that open utility door.
Hank pushes Lucy into that door to protect her. He tells her you are my world, which right there says it all and really fun moment here he gets trinked. He turns around and thinks, Okay, kill all my people, leave and give me my daughter back, but he gets knocked out. So I really liked that moment. I think it was interesting too that Lee and the raiders didn't just kill everybody, because they absolutely could have, and I think that would have been justifiable raider.
Behavior, but they don't. There is a bomb. They do have a bomb setup and they're like, hey, you might want to run, but they did not intentionally make sure everyone was dead, and I think that would have been more raider like. But there's more to that story that we don't know yet. They keep hinting at it, like the exchange between Lee and Hank is very coded, like the god so much something is going on, But even as.
A fan of the games, you're lost. You're like, I have no idea what's happening, But it's gonna be something. This is important for a reason, right. So basically, after everything is calm and they've cleaned up the vault, they've cleaned up the body parts, they're having their meeting and Lucy's like, hey, man, we need to send a search party up to the surface. We've got to save my dad.
And I think this is again a very naive moment for her, because you just watched him almost sacrifice half the people in this room to save you, and now you're like, hey, we need a couple of us up on the surface look for this guy. And Norman, her brother, says to her they're not going to find dad because then they wouldn't get to be in charge. And I think that is a fun moment as well, because you now have three people that were on the council that are all kind of acting as decision makers. I believe it's Betty, I think is more higher up than the other two. But right off the way rejected the one character.
He tries to be so nice about it. There's no bad ideas in a brainstorm, but but we've never done that before, so it's rejected. So the scheme starts to Hatch at this point, right, Lucy is not going to take no for an answer, no matter what. She has to save her dad. So this leads us to norm Lucy and Chet at the vault door again.
Chet, being absolutely in love with her, is like, I'm going with you. I have to protect you, and she freaking puts a shrink dart in his arm. So that he just passes out. That was great. I loved it, and I think that it kind of gives you.
The story of like if you were in the situation with all of these people your entire life in the small area, you would know people, you would know their actions, you would know how to prepare, like for the Chet situation. She had to know that was coming, so why she so smoothly was like, Oh, let me just knock you out really quick, because I knew you weren't going to let me go alone. There's these things you can read. But yes, so we basically we get the vault door opened. They're almost stopped by other members of the vault, but Lucy exits and that first moment she has outside in the wasteland.
Again, they did such a great job from the perspective of a fan of the games, because it was just like stepping out of Vault one oh one in Fallout three. Just everything's desolate and sandy and brown, and you see all these dead corpses and everything. They just the shock factor of the change from one environment to another. Well done. Yeah, and about that environment, now, most of this film, most of this series was filmed in the United States except for this sequence.
Any of the around Vault thirty three area, which is supposed to be now Los Angeles was filmed in Namibia because they have a beach that goes sandy for like miles back, as opposed to America beaches which have like fifty feet of sand and then water. So this really looks apocalyptic. The digital matte painting of the Santa Monic pier made me so fucking happy to think that these were all from these are The vault is in Santa Monica, which is where I actually lived in Los Angeles, and I spent so much time on that pier. But yeah, the environment she steps into is kind of exactly what she should have expected. It's one we would all have expected.
But Lucy, being that Vault olers she is, has been convinced for some reason that everything's going to be a little bit better, even though the people who would live up there just came down and murdered everyone. Right, So I think from there, I think we. Go back to Maximus. Right, this is the boot scenario where everyone gets anointed but him. And I'm trying to remember if I'm getting the first and second episodes.
Mixed up, what do you think happened? So we see Maximus. I think he's just laying in bed, right, and all cheering is happening, and that's when he runs out and sees Dane, and Dane's like a bunch of us got annoyed, anointed, we're going to the wilds, blah blah blah, and he just seems devastated. I think there's a scene where then he's like on latrine duty and he basically starts beating up the toilet like to get his anger out. And you don't really hear much about it until I think Dane wakes up screaming, right, and all of a sudden, it's like I woke up to put my shoe on and there's fucking razor blades.
In my shoe. Oof. So rough Man, Oh, I. Couldn't imagine, but there's something I want to say about that, but I have to wait to say it. It's not in this episode.
The first episode is hard. It's hard. I know, it's even harder when, like even further into where we're gonna go, you know what I mean, Because some of these characters' motivations I watched them. When I watched them the first time, I had one total idea, and now I have an entirely different idea. The next episode, in particular, we're gonna fucking talk about that because anyway.
Yeah, so immediately there's suspicion on a Maximus, right, So it's that scene where Quintus is basically interrogating him, trying to pull this out of him to see if he did put the razor blades in Dane's shoe or not. And I can't remember if that is an episode one or an episode two. That's this one? It is this one. Okay, it's starting to mush together, I swear, But yet we have that scene, and I think that takes us back to what we were talking about earlier on the introduction of Maximus, where he really is just like basically being told, if you did this, you're going to be strung up by your lungs, your trader.
Violence is an answer, but never the answer towards your brothers. I thought that was an interesting take from Quintus, and then you get Maximus just. Being completely devoted. I want to thank you, I want to thank you for everything you've done for me, for the opportunity, and then just like that, he's given the position of squire. It seems like it was a test the entire time.
And now we don't know where the blade came from, but it just is It's a very interesting situation to see Quintus be like basically like, we think you did this and you're going to pay. Oh you didn't do it, and you're groveling, Okay you can have a position. Yeah, man like made him fucking basically bag and and sort of throw up everything that was wrong with him and all of the fucking horror and trauma, and then oh, okay, you're pretty cool. You can now be the worst position we have. Yeah, you think you're getting promoted.
I've been promoted to latrine duty. Yeah, so that's how well, that's how Maximus basically makes his way off of base camp and into the waste is with that promotion right there, of squire to night Titus. We don't really meet him here, but we kind of. Meet him here, right, just a little bit. What we get to see is the power armor in its glory, which I'm sure every nerd was like, Yeah, they.
Did it, and I mean, I appreciate it. I'm just it's not my favorite. I just think as a practical suit, it's pretty phenomenal, you know what I mean. There was a time when robots looked fucking ridiculous on screen, and now you can build an entire mechanized suit of armor and have an actor jump in it and run around. It's fucking amazing.
In fact, then let me just say there's tons and tons of digital work in this series. Nevertheless, most of it is practical. Most of it is very real world and you can feel it and touch it. And that's one of the things that I love about this series. I agree.
And the talent, You're right, the talent that had to go into that is shows a lot about where we are. So yeah, it was done at the right time for sure. Oh boy, I think we've reached the end. Who's us Well, this would be the Ghoul, so oh. Boy, absolute favorite character.
I'm a little biased I love gouls, but. Our al what are you gonna say elsewise? Yeah, right, exactly. No. So the way the environment and the tone changed for this last chapter of the show was I think very unique to the vibes you usually get from Fallout.
It's almost like. It is a dark lit, old Western town that we're in. We've got three bounty hunters. They're obviously not supposed to be where they are. One of them attacks a guard with a weapon called a junk jet and kills the guard with the leg of.
A baby doll, which I think is hilarious. I think that was one of those perfect moments where it just shows that whoever is doing the writing for the show is paying attention or is a fan of the game, just to get those little details in there. It's one of those things that makes you excited. Yeah. A junk jet is basically like a potato gun that you can shoot fucking anything into it at high velocity and kill people.
Yeah, anything you want. It's great. You never run out of ambo, which is perfect. For the wasteland exactly. Yeah.
But so we have. These three bounty hunters I guess that are on a mission to dig up the gul so My understanding here is that the Ghoul was previously captured by a warlord. I think his name is Don Pedro. I want to say dom Dom Pedro. Okay, Don Pedro, thank you.
Basically, he's got the Ghul buried underground in a coffin and is keeping him alive with a steady supply of like Ken's going to his body, which is pretty easy. He's already fully irradiated. I imagine it would be a lot harder to keep it un radiated human being alive in that condition. Buried under the ground. Yeah, probably.
Yeah. So again, it's hard to. Vocalize either from the viewpoint of the person who's played the games and the person who hasn't and doesn't understand what's going on, because as a fan, you kind of see that setup and you know what's coming. You're like, okay, finally, and we've had trailers and previews, so we know there's a goual in the show, Like we're at the end of the episode, where the hell is he already? So they're basically there to dig up the goul to get him to help them find this target, right, And that takes us kind of back a step into the Brotherhood of Steel, because that's the whole point of Maximus going with Knight Titus is because the Brotherhood of Steel now has this escaped enclave target that they have to get.
It's a man and a dog and that is all we know. But now we know there's multiple people looking for him, including these bounty hunters. Now there's this Goul. The interaction between the Guls and the Gul and the bounty hunter hunters is fantastic. It's great to see these.
Men think that they have the upper hand and immediately the Gul is like, I've been here a lot longer than you have, and this is not how we do this shit. Yeah, it's again, it's hard to say too much. There's a lot I want to say that pulls from later in the series, so this just being the introduction of him is difficult. I don't want to give away too much. However, again fan of the Games versus not fan of the Games.
They don't tell. Us who the Goul is in this. Moment, but I think it is pretty obvious alone you could tell that it's the same actor. But it's Cooper Howard. Right, It's how from the beginning of the episode, and they even give him a line about cow popes right at the end there, which I think is supposed to be that hint.
We all need to be like, oh shit, that guy still alive. What happened to that kind of situation? Yeah, remember that sweet cowboy from the beginning, Well he's an entirely different cowboy now, folks. I mean, and maybe it wasn't intentional for them to want you to know who it was so early in the story, but I think it was a little obvious. Oh yeah, coda.
Whenever we're together, I always carry a chicken with me because I'm frequently worried that you're going feral. I mean, I love ghoules, you know me. I don't have any prejudice or anything, but the fear does sort of sit in me that at any point, for no good reason, you might just start fucking eating me. That is a fair fear to have, especially in the wastelands. I think carrying a chicken with you in a cage or whatever it may be, is a great step for self press preservation, not just for me, but for other rules you might run into looking for tech or whatever the fuck you're doing.
I love the tech. I'm just looking for aid an easy chair that isn't threadbare. I have yet to find one. Yeah, good luck with that. So that's Google fox them all up, takes us on out of here.
I think that's the end of our episode. That's pretty much all we get. Yeah, and we're left with these. Questions, so many questions. So many.
Lucy's wandering the wastes. Maximus is now out as a squire on a mission. There's a target. We know nothing about. They're on the hunt for him.
That's why the bounty hunters and the Wool comes into play. So they're all kind of following the same thread. But there's still not enough detail to really know what's going on. Hank. We have no idea where Hank is.
You might as well call this this entire series, get Hank McLean because everybody wants him. Yeah, at least the first season. For sure. They could just rename. It Survival naivete versus Reality and get Hank McLain.
That's what we're dealing with and fallow out this season. Those are the themes, all right, that is gonna do it for our first episode. Do you want to plug anything? Do you have anything to plug? All right?
That's cool. All right, that is gonna do it for our first, our inaugural episode. We're gonna go back into the vault right now because I need, Like I said, I need an easy chair.
