I just like making that noise. You've come to the right show. Well, no other show would have me. That's up to you. You can scout it out if you want.

So this episode is an exclusive for Horror Club members only. If you were super cool and part of the Meltdown Horror Club, you would be able to listen to the entirety of all of what's going on this week. But... Don't worry, because it's not really that. Hard to do.

You yourself can join the Meltdown Horror Club. I think, don't you guys think they should? Sure. Absolutely. We eat zombie brains sometimes.

Maybe this week. But now is the time, because we are in the middle of our Halloween festivities. And all October long, we're going to be putting out episodes that are just for Meltdown Horror Club fans. So, if ever there was a time. Now.

I don't know why everybody nodded silently. You guys do know how podcasting works, right? You heard their nods. Get on board. Last time we were here, which is actually two years ago, we had a fun centerpiece that you were obsessed with.

So this time I decided we can have that again, but we'll make it a more personalized version. Oh my gosh. That's rad. Yeah, I'm blown away. I thought maybe this would be more fun just because it's interactive with us.

Beware. Try if you dare. I mean, they're daring us to eat this. Oh, my. Is it the same thing where they taste like rotten vegetables?

I'm much more down with that. I'm a little more comfortable because I was afraid that the candy screamed. You can bite into it. We'll find out. Please, I have a family.

Oh God, no. No, the humanity. There was one thing that they kept bringing up, especially in the beginning of the movie, that I was like, no. Because they were talking about how dangerous the people that work in haunted houses are. Like how they hire real psychopaths and there's real body parts and this and that.

And when I was in college, I spent a Halloween working in a haunted house and. I know that title. I don't think I've seen it. Oh my God. Except the one with Kiefer Sutherland.

Gary Busey. Gary Busey. Starring Gary Busey. I'm sorry, Kiefer Sutherland, for confusing you with Gary Busey. It's a slam, Kiefer.

Sorry about that. Well, he can be intense as well. He definitely can, but a different presence. And it was like pre-head injury Gary Busey. Apparently, like five days after they finished shooting, then he got into that terrible accident.

So this was like, This was a while ago. But he's still crazy. Same energy. Yeah, he's always been crazy. Same energy.

Yeah. But yeah, he's like. It's not bad. I mean, it's hokey. As a kid, I never realized that it was supposed to be funny in places.

Yeah, I think they knew they were making semi-comedy. Yeah. Aren't there any, like, modern... fun Halloween novelty songs. I don't know. I mean, there's tons of people that just get into that as their sound.

Like there's a ton of like rockabilly bands that like, that's the direction they go into it. Yeah. Horror themed. And then they do like every one of their songs is essentially the name of a horror movie. It's comes in handy when I'm piecing these episodes together because everybody's done a song about whatever old movie we're watching that week.

So it's interesting to see what is out there. So, There's definitely that kind of stuff. I don't know if you get near as much of the mainstream novelty part of it. Yeah, that's what I want. It seems it's more sub-genre-y.

Yeah, I haven't heard it. I mean, again, I don't listen to Top 40 Radio, but I haven't heard a DJ going, oh, here's that new novelty Halloween track. Well, see, that's the thing. Razor's in my candy. But anywho, music producers, please.

Yeah. Write new Halloween songs. Give us some new Halloween crap. It's time. You would think.

Maybe we're just missing it, so. you know of anything good out there let us know. Because i know on at least two occasions they had to escort people out of the room that i was working in because. That other guy who keeps rapping about a barn i don't know not to jump ahead but what the hell was that. I liked them from the angle of it's just like, it's fun to pretend like you're watching an amateur video of somebody. Yeah, I don't have to go to this haunted house.

I've already seen this. Yeah, exactly. I'm like, oh, this is fun. That's nice and festive. They're still acting like it's a comedy, but I mean, like it's equally as much, you know, first episode, there's a dead person.

So there's still murder and stuff going on. What I didn't know, I guess I didn't watch any extra promos beforehand because I got into that first episode or two. And I'm like, this entire damn thing is about a podcast. Yes. I had no idea.

I was just like, everybody and their damn podcast. It is interesting. It's also really frustrating once we get to the sponsorship and the money being thrown around. Here's $ 50, 000 for the next three episodes. I feel like I have some back pay coming.

That's all I'm saying. Yeah. I need a sandwich shop sponsorship. Is that too much to ask for? Well, we have to murder somebody.

If that's what it takes. I'm not saying that's off the table. Two thirds of the people going through Haunted House while they're in the thing. This is stupid yeah well i know and then and i tried not to do that when i went through but i still sometimes was like yeah this looks but those are the. Ones too that you jump out and they like 10 feet in the air and knock stuff over and blame you for some reason.

He's just so obviously like just taking up the entire huge attic window just like blatantly staring and it's like. Anyone would know. Doesn't he build a wall between the rest of the attic and the window? Yeah, he builds a fake wall. Because I remember thinking, when they go in the attic, which they do several times, isn't anybody going to be like, wasn't there a window.

Here just last week? Yeah. So everybody was shoved in those on like two sides of a room with a hallway running down the middle. Yeah. So I guess we were mental patients or prisoners or zombies or I don't know.

They didn't give us a backstory. They were just like, here, just try to get people when they go through the middle. So you just reach out and try to grab people when they ran through. And this was back a long time ago. So I remember at least one person yelling about where they got grabbed.

In the middle of that. Oh, nice. It was like, yeah, this is why they don't do that. A whole group of these performers or whatever are so mad at you i guess for yeah for being like we're not scared that you're gonna you're gonna spend like days of your own time stalking them and doing like who cares why do you care that much yeah we haven't gotten to that part yet so i guess we should address. That oh man after about 10 minutes i was like there's a a drugged out whore, which is a term I don't normally like to.

Use, but... Only in professional circumstances. She's trying to convince a guy to drill a hole in a door. Who are you questioning? Blue Skeleton or the Five Idiots?

No, the Five Idiots. Take your pick. That's true. I was like, both of them I have that question for. Yeah, because...

I see a lot of places that have old VHS tapes and it's funny how much the cool ones aren't there anymore. Like all the people know and they've all filtered through. So it's just a bunch of random stuff that like your grandparent would have. And so like, that's all left on the shelf. But then there was like a box on the floor that was a few of those, like prerecorded boxed up ones.

And then a bunch of like recorded off of. Cable and handwritten. I was like, who's buying these? It's like, well, who's selling them? You're hard pressed to find somebody buying VHS tapes at this point.

But on top of that, a non pre-recorded, recorded on a generic ass tape you bought at Kmart and then like recorded off cable or TV with commercials. Who the hell knows? Because it's just handwritten on there. Like a top gun. Here we go.

Somebody's going to pay. And they were not cheap. Like, It was like, why? It was like $ 8 for an old VHS tape or something. I was like, get out of your damn mind.

You know that there's some dork going through those looking for stuff like, well, I'm looking for the five-hour dune that was shown on Disney Channel one time. Oh, my God. When I did work there, every day, before it opened, we'd all be sitting around half in our costumes just hanging out or whatever. Every day somebody was telling me about, oh, I heard that there's this haunted house such and such place that supposedly did the things that they're looking for in this movie. The real things.

Extreme things. Like, there's a haunted house in Texas that takes eight hours to go through. And if you make it to the end, they give you $ 2, 000 and nobody's ever made it and blah, blah, blah. Do you think any of these things exist? None of those existed then.

Because of the urban legends, a couple of them do exist now. Yeah. But from what I've read about. Them, he had like a $ 25, 000 prize if you can make it through, but you only make it through when he says you're done. so he just continuously like breaks you down and tortures you until you're like please let me out and then when people like give the It's a safe word or whatever. He's like, I'll decide.

So he doesn't even listen to people saying no. That's not how safe words work, Jackass. It's just him. It's like really, really bad. I'm like, that guy is sketchy as hell.

So yeah, all this like, let's find the most extreme haunt. I'm like, no, because people will just torture you. I might re-watch the first one, too. Is anybody else going to? When you say first one, you mean first first one or the last first one?

Well, the last one in this series of this new series. Which technically is the last second one. Is the second one, which we've had three second ones now. Because this series made no damn sense. I should re-watch the first new one.

The first new thing, not the second new thing or the. Third new thing. I don't think I have it in me. In the first old one. like it's just real enough that you're like so what would you do like if you just well they the other ones get super extreme but i'm like that's just awkward enough that like some drunken idiot could wander into your rv and like shit what do we do now like that could really happen out. There well they asked the question the same time i did which was why did you bring her in the rv and he's like i don't know Can we at least talk about the strip club scene?

Oh, my goodness. Because I'm on your trip now. I want to go to the strip club. I mean, at least it's entertaining compared to most, I guess. I do think last time we talked about a zombie brunch place.

But if we needed to pivot. Right next to it would be the zombie strip club. So like for the little more self-controlled people, you'd have brunch. And then later that night, when you're drunk off your ass, you just go to the zombie strip club. Well, if somebody came up to me right now and said, hey, you want to go to the strip club?

I'd be like, I don't really want to go. Not really. Waste my time and money there. And they'd be like, well, they wear, like, skeleton masks. I'd be like, well, okay, now I'm listening.

I would, too. I mean, I figured. I was like, I don't have any desire to go to a normal strip club. But I'm like, is that a thing they do on Halloween? Like, do they wear costumes?

Because that's fun. Yeah. I guess. But then that's all admissible in court. I know.

And I was like, but what are you making it for? Because you've gone so. They've committed quintuple homicide, which is a lot in one night. From the independent filmmaking aspect, they found a really great way to make what they wanted to make. And they never addressed that at all.

And I think that becomes the most frustrating part. That's true, because now I'm thinking of that scene where they're at that bar, like once they get to. Louisiana, and there's like. Because that was the whole thing we were waiting for the whole time. I was like, well, this is going to be great.

The camera angle very subtly changes. And it's like, if this is all... Who. You're getting to the argument in every found footage movie. Who's the idiot editing this after the fact when all these people are dead?

Yeah. What kind of bastard are you? Because if two big burly dudes tried to corner me in a bar bathroom after all of this shit that's been happening, I'd be like, I do not give a fuck about your haunted house. I almost just got assaulted and we are going home. And my guy friends would be like, yeah.

I would hope so. I would be like, I am so glad you said something. I didn't want to seem like a pussy, but... Yeah! Yeah, come on.

I will drive the first 400 miles. I don't give a shit.
