So this week is a very special horror club episode and you could hear it if you were a member of the horror club and uh it's not real hard to do you should go do it now Plus, as a bonus, you get to pick a movie for us to watch in the near future. If not, let's go back to what I'm referring to as movie threats. If not, we have to pick our own movie, and I keep going out into the world and finding horrible things on a shelf somewhere that I'm like, I only go with them if I've never heard of it and I don't know what the hell it is. I'm like, oh, well, that's got to be a terrible thing. So this.
I was trying to before I tie in with this week's movie. I thought, let's see if we can. Find a good vampire title I've run across lately. So I, in a two-pack, I came across Vampire Wars. Now, I'm picturing, now granted, the cover is like a weird blue vampire face just like yelling at you.
So don't judge a movie by its cover that the person in the art department has never seen the movie more than likely. Because there's a lot of really bad movie cover art out there that's become synonymous with video releases. This is bad cover art. So in my thinking, I'm trying to piece together what I'm thinking this is as I look at it for a half second. I'm like, all right, so this is.
Like modern day vampires inner city. And instead of like a drug war, they're having vampire wars. And this is our turf. That's your turf. Whether they're fighting over we kill people on this turf or we recruit new vampire people on this turf.
But either way, that sounds like what that plot is, right? Is it not? See, I'm picturing the last scene in Twilight, only cool. Only not Twilight. So then, I don't even think I flipped it over.
I went today and was like, well, what is the plot of this? In the wake of the American Civil War, two vampires rise and fight to reclaim their land from the inhabitants of a sleepy southern town. What? That sounds fun. Not at all what I was thinking it was.
Is one of them pro-slavery? Probably. Are we going to know who the racist vampire is? The other thing is, when you bring it up on your IMDB or whatever, it comes up as Dead South. Ooh.
And not Vampire Wars, although then the artwork on here says Vampire Wars. Do you want us to have to watch Vampire Wars? That's what I'm saying. I kind of do. Hey, we could put it on there, but you're probably thinking to yourself, I can think of 20 better movies than that, and you should join the club and then give us one of those movies, because we need 20 movies every week, because we're going to roll a die, and then that's the movie we're going to watch, and you could have your movie right there.
On the list. If not, you have to listen to us say ridiculous things like this. Hello, I'm Jerry Dandridge. I just went, no. No way are you Jerry Dandridge.
It was really, really bad. It's gross. It's like, I don't know how much of it they were trying to make erotic because there's a lot of really long, drawn out lesbian vampire seduction scenes. I mean, that's a whole sub-genre that some people, I'm going to say lame dudes, get into, but I mean, hey, I could be wrong. Well, I feel like the.
Lower your budget for a vampire movie, the higher. The higher likeliness. The lesbian, yeah. Sex scenes of any sort, but bonus points for lesbian. Especially lesbian vampire sex scenes.
It was just, it made me sad. He's pretty good at that. Like, I know lots of people that didn't like his Big Oscar-y movie this year, but this one, he made the same year, and I'm like, This is really stylish and well shot. It's got this great cast and he should just do more of these. It's basically alive.
Like it flies away like a bird. And they're like, hey, did you see it fly? Yeah, I did. Alrighty. And as dumb as that sounds, it's funny in context.
Yeah, this movie reminded me so much of my senior year of high school. Because you were killing vampires right and left. Yeah, every time she tunes up her guitar, she's. Like, movie meltdown. And it was filmed in real D3D.
Ah. Yep, that explains it. I don't know if I liked that or not. I guess. It's convenient.
I mean, it's the kind of thing that turns up in movie screenplays. Yeah. Of course you're the one that killed my parents. I mean, it's convenient, but, I mean, not totally necessary. This is at least three Poots for us, so I'm considering just a side series of Pootscast.
We're just going to start our own Pootscast and nothing but Imogene movies. That is very silly looking. Thanks, Spielberg. I'm a fruit bat. Not everyone will claim that.
I want that on a t-shirt. I gauge everything against Celine Dion. Do you think she has a haunted museum in her pet house? I hope so. Do you think she kills vampires?
Because I kind of do. I could see that, actually. I think she is a vampire. Celine Dion, vampire hunter. Or vampire.
Either way I'd watch this movie. Let's start casting. That one right now. Or she's a vampire who is also a vampire hunter and therefore reviled. Amongst her own community.
She's a blade. She's a half-blood. These things write themselves. Selene, come on, get with us. Let's put this together.
Did you watch Vampire Horse? Oh, God, no. I'm intrigued. Because I'm not coming up with anything. I'm curious about the costume.
Well, that's the thing. Yeah, you have to. No, that's a band. No, I've heard them. I'm not a big fan, really.
I think I blind bought a CD one time and went, no, this is not for me. Now, are the vampires also Civil War soldiers who've only recently been killed, or is this an entirely different conflict? According to this one sentence I read on IMDb, I have no idea. All right. Well, it would have to two out of ten on IMDb.
What does that tell you? Hey, a 2.8 out of 10, thank you. 2.8. Oh, one of them's name is Beauregard. Oh, it's Hildegard Charmington and Beauregard Charmington are the two brothers.
And Hildegard is a guy. I didn't know that was a dude type name. I've heard Hildegard, but I always thought it was usually associated with a woman type person in it. You would think, but I don't know. It was the 1800s, I guess.
I guess. They came up with some weird names back in the day. Well, if you don't want us to have to watch this ridiculous movie, go to MovieMeltdown.com. Click on the banner there at the top. Join the Meltdown Horror Club.
Give us a better option. Every word, shut down and let in. What's left to do? These broken pieces. On the floor.
I'm losing my voice, calling it on you. Cause I've been shaking, I've been bending backwards till I'm broke.
