Kilowatts of power. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian. I'm Misty. I'm Jay.

I'm Lucy. And we're... Coming to you live via digital recording from a hotel room right now or at some sort of convention. We'd shower me nameless. Because they're jerks.

Because they won't respond to anything we say. Anyway, we've decided to head out to the said convention and. Right now we're in Randy's room because Randy's awesome. Yeah, Randy let us. Thank you, Randy.

He let us take over his room. Actually, they were wandering off anyway. Otherwise, I would have made him tell his Geek Week stuff. Randy's the best. Lisa's awesome.

Lisa is awesome as well. They're both pretty damn awesome, and they let us take over their room while they're not looking. And their food. And we're going to touch all their stuff while they're not looking. And I told them I'm going.

To steal the light bulbs. And the sheets. Possibly the sheets, but it depends. You're going to lick all the jerky. Maybe.

Maybe. But Jay already ate most of it, so it's okay. He already commandeered two bags. Big ass bags. So?

Our house is going to smell like jerky. You are going to smell like jerky for the next month and a half. So what? All right. Randy's awesome.

Lisa's awesome. They're both equally awesome. You guys are awesome. Yeah, I just met them and I can already tell they're awesome. Can't argue with any of that.

This episode brought to you by Randy and Lisa. We should just start commercials for them. They're the best. I don't like to pick favorites, but Randy and Lisa are my favorite listeners. I've told all the other listeners, and Randy actually himself has said it doesn't take much.

Just a little effort and you can move right to the head of the pack. I don't think so. Randy's giving me stuff. That's what I'm saying. Randy's setting the bar kind of high.

But in general, we've got a nice core group of the upper echelons of the Secret Circle. Randy gave me a Star Trek book. Until somebody out there can beat that, Randy's my favorite. Because it's a Star Trek book and it has pictures. A lot of pictures.

We had someone else join the Secret Circle this past week, so... We're moving right along. We're getting our core group of hardcore fans together, so we appreciate all of them. We're up to, what, three now? A couple more.

And then we will, yeah. Three and a half. Leave that midget alone. Huh? Never mind.

Does he live in our neighborhood? We have a midget in our neighborhood, too. This is quite the colorful neighborhood. Yeah, he's going to be my best friend, but he doesn't know it yet. You and fake Thelvin and the midget are going to have card game Tuesdays.

Hell yeah! Sorry. I'm going to play poker as soon as I learn how to play. I think Goldman can teach you. Yeah, he can.

I bet he knows. He probably does. Secret Circle, they're awesome. Who was our newest, most awesomest member? He just hadn't officially taken over as a member.

He'd already been in the circle as far as I was concerned. Who is it? James. James who? I'm not outing him on this show.

I don't know if he had another name. He used to be Eskimo. Okay, you can just tell me that because I'm more familiar with that. He's awesome. He is awesome and he's always kind of been in the circle, but I think he just didn't know of the new facet of the circle.

So he can get fabulous photos of My dog's napping or whatever happens. Winchester at Graceland? Winchester at Graceland. There you go. There's a new one.

Have you taken your Winchester shots here? Did you get him with, like, Alex Winter? You should have just gotten shots of Winchester with everybody. He's in my purse. You can see him.

The way I'm standing, it looks like I have to pee. Maybe you did. Maybe you did. Do you need to get pictures of Winchester, like, raiding Randy's food over there? Yes.

What the hell? I've got to ask, what the fuck is that sitting over there? This thing? Yes, that thing. They're kiwis.

Is that a kiwi? It's a kiwi. Are you sure? Yes. Okay.

Do I need a picture of Winchester with some kiwi? I don't think Winchester likes kiwis. You don't know what Winchester likes. He's a fucking werewolf. He doesn't like kiwis.

You don't know? Why can't werewolves like fucking kiwis? I don't know. Because they're fuzzy. So are werewolves.

Doesn't mean they want to eat other werewolves. You don't know. Cannibals. All right. James is awesome.

Why am I talking about this? Because you've met her before. I know. These are the conversations that go on in our house. Yeah.

No doubt about that. You don't know what Winchester likes. You don't know Winchester. I don't. I really don't.

You're sitting by Winchester. He's on the other side of you. He might attack. Be careful. I'm totally in bed with a mirror wall.

That's pretty awesome. He's not wearing any pants either. I thought you were going to make him some pants. I was going to make him some pants, but I haven't yet. What are the origins of, I don't know anything about.

He came from Walmart. He's just pretty awesome. He's one pissed off looking werewolf, and I love him. It's like, it's during Halloween, they had all the, they had, what did they have, werewolf? They had the mummy, Frankenstein.

Dracula. They didn't have a Dracula, they had a witch. Witch, but they all looked too happy. They were just. Like, hee hee.

And then you get to Winchester and he just. Looks fucking angry. I'm not seeing teeth. Pull his head up a little bit. Oh, he's pissed.

He's not happy. The evil slant of his eye. Okay, that's kind of fantastic. How long has Winchester been with you? Before Halloween.

Oh, so he's new. Yeah, I just got him. We watch Supernatural together. That's your Supernatural buddy. That's why his name's Winchester.

Because their name on there is Sam and Dean Winchester. Okay, go ahead. This is awesome. Yes, yes. We'll definitely have to put a Winchester photo in there for the Secret Circle.

So if you yourself haven't joined the Secret Circle... It's not even like it costs anything. Just email us, for God's sakes. You Facebook peoples, of which there are many now, so we have a lot of friends. We just need them to all, you know, be in our secret circle.

Forward the link on this. It's pretty much all you gotta do, damn it. It doesn't cost anything. Alright, so. What's free?

What's better than free, you fuckers? Come on. Nothing better than free. On that note, yeah, go ahead and email us on the Twitters and the Facebook and let us know you want to be part of the secret circle. All right, with that, we have not done a buzz in quite a while.

What is the buzz? What is it happening? I think it's time for What's the Buzz? A few of these I had to write down, and we're working on very limited resources here. I had to use a pencil and a piece of paper.

Pencil? There's not even internet involved in this process right now. It's crazy. crazy yeah where is your laptop it's barely functional send more funds what needs to be upgraded send more funds so. Downloading that porn send more funds well yeah that's what laptops are for right. So yeah with that um it wouldn't matter i wouldn't drug it all the way over here anyway so i hate.

Pencils i just want you to know I hate the sound they make. It's mechanical. It's even more awesome. I hate the sound of lead on paper. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

I don't need a hobby. I got my hatred. It's okay. Ah, stop it. That's fine.

It sounds like it. Unless the eraser sound. It's okay. Okay, pencil and paper. So with that, I saw a few today, one of which in particular I figured you...

Misty, if no one else need to comment on it. Oh, no. So, have you seen that they have now narrowed down their villain for the new Star Trek 2? I did. It's Poopface, isn't.

It? Who? Casper? Only hardcore listeners of our show will know why you just said that. Oh, Del Toro?

Yes! Benicio Del Toro has been chosen as the villain in the new Star Trek movie. Wait, I'm sorry. All right, we're going to flash back to him. Yeah, hold on.

Go ahead. I just love that that's your poop face impersonation poop face not my poop face that you. Somehow equate that with it. Just looks like he's gotta go poop really bad. He's doing her interpretation of Benicio del Toro it was a really good impression.

You gotta look up at the same time you gotta like slowly That's actually kind of uncanny. It's funny. Everybody thinks you're pretty good at that, I have to say. Everybody goes in kind of leery, and they're just. Like, no, no, damn.

It delivers. All right. And she nailed it. Yeah. Still half up.

Still landing. So, what are your thoughts on that other than your impersonation? I don't like it. He's going to make poop face all through Star Trek. He's going to distract from Chris Pine being hot.

He's done many, many other good performances before he learned that face. If he's going to flip it for real. Because if he tries to flip Chris Pine for real. That would be awesome, actually. He's looking at her.

She's got the cool thing in her ear. Can you hear me in the back? Can you hear me in the back? Flippy. I don't fuck that.

Flippy Buri. That's a fucking thing. God. I love him in that movie. But he makes poop face in that movie, too.

Well, maybe that's because he needs somebody's finger in his asshole. If we're doing Usual Suspects, damn it. What is it? Tuesday night? All right.

That's usual suspects, damn it. All right, so you don't like this idea? Is that what you're saying? I don't think I like it one bit. They have not named who he's supposed to be.

He's going to be Khan. You know he is. Yeah. So, I mean, really, they've gone to the trouble of also casting another Latino actor or of some sort of Latino origin. So, yeah, it is odd that they just randomly, I mean, in a town that casts.

George Lopez? I hate George Lopez. In a town that casts nothing but white people, that they would bother to cast the villain in part two as someone who could also be of sort of that same. Yeah, I'm really not happy with Benicio Del Toro anymore. He's getting old, and he needs to go make a poop face.

And he's constipated. Do you think that's the problem? I'm telling you. Maybe he should get a big poop out. Maybe he'd feel better and he'd quit making that face.

Do you have any non-biological function comments about this casting? I saw an interview, I think it was with Allie Larder, and she told this great Benicio Del Toro story, and that's the only story, that's the thing that pops into my mind whenever anybody says his name. But she was just talking about how when she moved out to Los Angeles the first time, she was, like, in this hotel, and she was at the bar, and I guess he was just an unusual suspect, and so he was having his moment, and he was sort of famous, and he just walked up and put his room key down in front of her and said, here you go, and walked away, because she was just supposed to take it and go on upstairs. And she did. I think if she had, she wouldn't have told the story on Jalen or wherever it was.

I like it when people tell stories they're not supposed to tell, though, like really publicly. Yeah, but you know, you really just change the end to make yourself look good. Yeah, so I walked right out of there. I tell stories like that all the time. So yeah, that's all that hops into my brain when you said that, and that's disturbing.

I don't know. At one point, he was actually a very good actor. I'd like to see him return to that. He's been a good actor twice, right? The other time.

He was good in Snatch. He was great in Traffic. I'm also thinking Excess Baggage. Sadly, I was just thinking, what's that? It's called Excess Baggage.

It's got Alicia Silverstone in it. It sure does. I love that movie. Oh, yeah. I'm pretty sure he just was in that movie because she was hot.

That's when he should have been looking for good roles and sort of parlaying usual suspects into something profound. I think there was a room key involved in it. Maybe that was his downfall, too many room keys. People were like, dude, don't. Yeah, no.

Stop it. My cousin was so in love with Alicia Silverstone, I had to watch the Aerosmith movie. crying and crazy videos repeatedly over and over. And over crazier amazing. All three of them actually crazy crying and there's three videos crazy crying and amazing crazy was first no crying was first it had steven dorf in it which is the one. With the london brother Wasn't there a London Brother in one of them?

Did I just make up an Aerosmith video in my head? With a London Brother? You can find better things to do with your brain than make up Aerosmith videos. It's crying, amazing, and then crazy. Right?

I don't know. Yeah, crazy was the last one they did. That was when they had Liv Tyler in the fucking tractor. And they spelled that crazy in the fucking corn. I don't know what I'm talking about.

Jesus fucking Christ. I don't doubt your knowledge of Aerosmith. Yeah, I'm not going to challenge you on this. Okay. Oh, okay.

Oh, Lord. Boyfriend's about ready to crash. He's going to need coffee on the way home. I'm going to have a two-hour drive ahead of me, too. All right, then let's escape from Inicio.

So did you hear the, this was actually last week, they cast, or are working on, potentially, Jennifer Lopez starring in Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Okay, there's a movie I don't care about seeing. It's just going to be too easy to spot. They just didn't look for a big old ass. I was waiting for it.

I was like, all right, where in the world is her giant Lopez ass? That red coat can't hide that shit. No, no. I didn't even care about the TV show. I don't think kids did either.

No, they didn't. Kids are smart. They can go, this is educational. You're not tricking me. Yeah.

That's what my kid, I tried to pawn her off a, what was it, a DS math game. And she was like, this is the worst game ever. I was like, you haven't even played it. She goes, it's got math in it. And I was like, You got a point.

Yeah, you're right. Damn it. So that one actually didn't surprise me. At least there was some sort of plot in that. I mean, they did make a whole animated series out of it.

It had some sort of storyline to it. This week, MGM announced they are obtaining the rights to a live-action Where's Waldo movie. Oh, yeah, there's another one we need. Is that going to be starring Shia LaBeouf? In a red and white straight pad.

Yeah. I don't know if I can picture doing that. Oh, God. David Tennant. Which is weird, because I like David Tennant.

But I can picture him wearing that. What? What? What? You're looking at me like I said something wrong.

No, I'm just. I don't know. I'm more upset about Where's Waldo as a movie. I just. How do you make a movie about it?

That's what I'm saying. Like, at least there's a storyline. Is there just a bunch of people and then you're in the theater and you're like. I see it! You just sit there for two hours and go, no, no.

Oh, there's a red and white. Oh, no. Damn it. They always put those other red and white things in there. It's really off.

That's a barber pole. Son of a bitch. Is this a whole movie? A beach ball. So, yeah, I just, that was so ridiculous.

I was like, yeah, we need to. Well, they made a movie about Rock'em Sock'em Robots. Why not Waldo? And it was a heartwarming tale from what I hear. What movie about Rock'em Sock'em Robots?

Real Steel. That was based on a Twilight Zone episode. Oh, was it? Still Rock'em Sock'em Robots. It was a Twilight Zone.

Episode called Steel, and the episode wasn't bad. It was a Twilight Zone. Was it written by Richard Matheson? I don't remember. We'll get to him next week.

Okay, so, yeah, any final thoughts on Waldo? Fuck that movie. I'm not going to watch it. I hate Shia LaBeouf. I'm not going to pay money to go see that movie.

I think it could be great. You're just being a contrarian. I'm just being the contrarian. Well, this one sounded like it was going to be a horrible idea, then I kind of changed my mind. Once again, our friends at MGM are in negotiations to get the rights to Killer Pizza, a novel by Greg Taylor.

You know, with a name like that, I could get behind that. That was the thing. Then I read the synopsis about a 14-year-old boy who gets a summer job at a pizza place that's actually a front for a monster hunting enterprise. Sounds kind of cool. I'm already like, okay, this could be cool.

This is like Monster Squad, teenage years. Which they need to update, obviously. It's been more than five minutes and they haven't done a remake yet. I love that movie. That movie's awesome.

So, yeah, Chris Columbus is set as producer, but directing is likely to be Adam Green. Which I thought, actually, giving Adam Green something called Killer Pizza? Yeah. Could be okay, actually. Who's Adam Green?

Hatchet. Hatchet 2. Yeah, I love the first one. I haven't seen the second one yet, though. I think he's gotten a little better as time's gone on.

I have no comments. I don't know. I think giving Adam Green that property... Well. No, I don't know enough about Adam Green, so I can't really comment on it.

It's never stopped me before. He's made another movie, but you'll just complain about that one. Which one is it? He also did Frozen. Oh, fuck that movie.

I think that's a good movie. They make ridiculous decisions along the way, but I think it's better made than Hatchet, actually. I liked Hatchet better. Hatchet was more fun. Hatchet was fun, but it wasn't really.

I don't know. I had issues with the killer. I think a lot of that stuff was kind of just dragging out the same shit we've seen a million times in the 80s, where at least Frozen was a ridiculously interesting idea, and it automatically made people start talking about it and screaming at the TV, and there's something to that. I mean, the fact that any movie can do that, I don't know. Make you angry?

Not just angry, but it also makes you go, no, that's not what I do. Here's what I do. Like, everybody has their take on what they would do and how they would, you know. I don't know. Any movie that can make you question...

What you would do in that situation, I think, is an interesting movie. Yeah. What is the premise? I'm actually not familiar with Frozen. Frozen, they go up to a ski slope, and they get stuck midway through on the ski lift.

It's the very end of the day. And it's the end of the day, and everybody goes home, and they turn out the lights, and it's a holiday weekend, and they won't be back for, what, three days or a week or something? Yeah. And they're stuck there. Wow.

In the icy cold. I mean right there already you're like okay I kind of want to see this movie I mean it leaves you even if you don't like what they do along the way I think that one was a more impressive movie Hatchet was just another slasher it was fun I like the comedy in Hatchet I didn't really think the slasher was anything original but I. Don't know some of the deaths were pretty fun they were fun yeah again it was fun I liked it I enjoyed the movie I just didn't think it was as promising as Frozen Frozen was actually kind of well put together so I don't know. In Hatchet, you see Harmony from Buffy's Boys. Yeah, well, that kind of disturbed me, actually.

It did a little bit. I didn't. I don't think I was ready to see those. And then I saw them, and I was like, I really don't need to see them. Yeah.

Please put your shirt back on. Which one was Harmony? Harmony. Harmony. Oh, my good God.

All right, you know what? Harmony was Cordelia's friend. Harmony. Blonde. Turned into a vampire.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. She was with Spike for a while. Called him Blondie Bear. Yeah, that's right. Okay, I can't remember now.

Oh, I don't know. Killer Pizza. The jury's still out on that one. It's got more potential. It might not suck.

It's got more potential than a lot of this stuff. I don't know. The name, like, Killer Pizza, I'd probably watch that. That's what I'm thinking. It's kind of like, you know.

Would you pay to see it, or would you wait until it's on television? Oh, fuck. I don't pay for anything. You know what, right? Maybe they're just going to make it a sequel to Mystic Pizza.

That would be horrible. Or like an Attack of the Killer Tomatoes Mystic. Pizza hybrid. Yes. Starring Pizza the Hut.

We can jam all these together. You know, you're saying all this, they're going to steal it. Oh, damn. We come up with the best ideas, don't we? I just want Annabeth Gish back.

Yeah, she's pretty damn awesome. Happened to her career. She did the X-Files and it killed it. Who? Annabeth Gish.

I don't know who that is. You're not missing much. Ouch. I like Annabeth Gish. This is not comfortable.

All right, so the other one here... I don't know what to think about this. Speaking of slashers, this one is the remake of Maniac. They have cast the lead role as the serial killer Zito in the remake of the 1980s slasher Maniac. Would you like to know who it is?

Would you like to take a guess who it is? I know who it is. I forgot already. Well, it's not. Not Shia LaBeouf.

Shia LaBeouf, your favorite guy. Seth Rogen. I could think of it, but it would take me a while. I don't have that much time. I like this person, but I question the judgment on this one.

They have cast Elijah Wood. There we go. That's what it was. Wow. Yeah.

That's a puzzler. That's odd. It could work. It could either be really good or really bad. Robin Williams is a serial killer.

What they said about what they had the most problem with in the story was the fact that the lead in that one is like a 40-something overweight Italian guy, none of which really fits him. So I was just like, Okay, from that angle, but if they're going to do something totally original with it, I have to say, I've had him surprise me in that area before, in Sin City. Yeah, he was good in Sin City. He was fucking hardcore. I don't want him to surprise me in any area.

He was a cold-blooded killer in Sin City, and I bought it. Really creepy, and it fit sort of his weird, you know, he has the personality that doesn't seem like it would be that, so it kind of is a good cover, so I think it could go okay. If they just decide to do something entirely different with it, if they put their own spin on it and do something original, if they just try to do a straight remake and put him in that role, I'm not so sure about that. Ajah is the co-writer on it, but it's directed by, I'm not even going to try to pronounce his last name, but he is the director who brought us P2. I haven't seen that one.

I've avoided that one, too. I haven't seen P1. I don't know yeah I don't really know about P-Zero the. Prequel negative one that only works on rain I'm sorry basement basement what a dork so yeah I don't know this again the fact that they're even doing a remake of Maniac is probably going to piss people off casting Elijah Wood probably will really piss people off. I haven't seen it I have no attachment to it thus far It's not the kind of thing I would picture him even looking for, which is maybe why he's doing it.

Maybe trying to branch out. I don't know. Any other buzz? I don't know. I can't look anything else up.

Have you heard anything interesting? No. In the interwebs? No. You're a nerd.

You're on the computer a lot. I usually just watch trailers, so I don't have any new things. Lucy, anything interesting? I got nothing. Damn it.

Sorry. Sorry. Make something up. We can start a rumor. Ooh, we do play that game sometimes.

Let's come up with a good one. There was a rumor on the internet that 50 Cent died, but that turned out to be fake. Yeah. That's not a very good one to start off with. We can discuss.

We're kind of in mourning for Heavy D. We are. I didn't like Heavy D's he was. Alright I guess they played a couple songs on the radio and I was like that's Heavy. D you're like I hate this song.

I don't like this song you can talk about your favorite fucking hated that guy cartoon illustrator that passed on this past. Week I don't know the guy it could be an okay guy whatever but if he's gonna fucking inflict the family circus on the entire fucking generation not even a generation the whole fucking. Whoever a couple of generations unfortunately. Family Circus guy died. Wait, Bill King died?

Bill King died. He did. Sorry, were you a big fan of Family Circus? You seemed like, the sound you made, it was like, it was like you were a heartless. She doesn't get excited at death the way that you and I and the rest of the heartless bastards listening at home do.

I don't know, maybe Family Circus just seemed like it was always shoving its happy family down my throat. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe, who knows. I just looked at it and I was like, nobody's family's that fucking happy, okay?

Fuck those kids. Fuck that whole family. It just made me mad. I'm not even sure why. It just did.

I was angry as a kid. As a kid? Okay. I was angry most of my life. What I think was bad was, and that's what I was saying before, it's like he had five jokes.

And none of them were funny. They were marginally funny in 1950 or whenever the hell he started. So and so did it. So yeah, the not me joke, the here's the track where Jeffy ran around. What are the other ones?

There's only like five jokes. He just kept like... Sort of cycling them around and reworking them. Just a little bit. Not very much.

I think that was mostly my problem with families here. And the fact that it just went on forever. Oh, look, it's the same joke. And the thing is, this still, like, even much like a zombie, death won't stop him because his kid's been doing it for years. So the strip's still going to go on.

So I didn't understand why the parents didn't beat the kids because they were aggravating them. Just beat the little bastards. Please. I think that's why I didn't like it because there was kids. I generally don't like kids.

Yeah, see? There you go. Especially mutant, freakishly large-headed ones. I didn't like them one bit. Kids, they're trouble.

Hydrophilic bastards. We should see. Do we have anything else exciting to talk about? I watched the trailer for the new Kristen... What's her face movie?

Kristen Stewart. Downy Face? Yeah, I watched the trailer for her Snow White. Oh, God. I didn't even know that was happening.

We talked about this one a long time ago. I think we bitched about it. Charlize Theron is the evil queen. Yeah, I'm pretty sure we bitched about it on a community. I would pick the evil.

Queen over her any day. Well, I think I've always said that about even the animated one. I was like, Snow White's all right, but evil queen's hot. Evil queen's pretty evil. I like evil.

Evil queen's hot. Maybe not the old hag, but when she's the evil queen, she's pretty freaking hot. Just saying. But yeah, why would you choose Downey Face over... I.

Think that's what my friend Brad said that too. He's like, you're going to tell me that in this whole fucking universe, somebody's going to choose her over Charlize. He goes, I seriously doubt it. There might be. Somebody out there.

We should talk about the exciting and awesome trailer that I posted on your Facebook. Oh, goodness gracious. As I said, when you posted it there, it's not, are we going to watch it? It's, when are we going to watch it? Go ahead.

Dude. Sand sharks. That's all that should need to be said. It's sharks in the sand. And they swim in the sand like it's water.

And they attack people. And Brooke Hogan explains it. Because she's a scientist. Brooke Hogan's a scientist. And Corin Nemec in it.

And we all know how I feel about Corin Nemec. He's a nerd. He is. He's in everything. He's got to stop everything.

Corin Nemec is fantastic. He's going to be in every sci-fi original from here on out. Parker Lewis, you really can't lose. I love Parker Lewis and I love Corin Nemec. Oh, wow.

Why isn't he at conventions? I would think he would be. Because he knew he'd get mobbed by you. Dude, for serious. No, he's doing the supernatural.

Parker Lewis! I love you. He's doing the supernatural convention. But you gotta pay like $ 70. That's why, because he's doing Supernatural Convention.

But he still only pays $ 20 to get his autograph. Whatever. Pornemic. It's all good. Dude, Sand Sharks looks awesome.

I don't care what you all say. You can give me that look all you want. It looks awesome. It looks rowdy. Is that the one that looks like most of the cast is all porn stars?

Yeah. And they're running on the beach from the Sand Shark. Yeah. Boobies everywhere. Hells yes.

The only way it could be better would be if it was in 3D. It is in 3D, isn't it? No, it's not. Well, what's in 3D that's coming up? I thought there was another movie coming out that had sharks in it that was in 3D.

What was the shark movie that was in 3D? Oh, yeah, what was that one? I thought it already opened. Shark Night? I figured it already came and went.

Yeah, it did. It's at the Donner Theater. Like most movies, yeah. Well, I'm curious, 2D. I'm late on shit.

That looked awesome. I wanted to see that, but I didn't. I'm a sucker for 3D. I don't care if everybody thinks it's played out and old. I love 3D.

I think it's awesome, and I will continue to waste my money going to the theater and seeing it. Underworld's coming out in 3D, and I want to see that. That one looks good. I like Underworld. Apparently there's an Avengers movie coming out in 3D.

Avengers? Avengers. Oh, Avengers. Yeah, it's like on to the heart valves now. He directed the new Avengers movie, didn't he?

It's going to be a really weird movie. I would love that. That's the rumor we need to start. Yes. Go ahead, tell that.

They've bounced Joss out of the picture. Bringing in Avengers. Pass that on. Sounds great. See what the internet does.

We might break it. That would be kind of interesting. With that, I think we should take a break. We'll come back with more action-packed fun from the unnamed convention. And the bed looks very uncomfortable.

I'm not so sure it's the bed. I don't know. The headboard's very uncomfortable. It's wood. I'm just uncomfortable in general.

Going still wondering around Randy's room So, yeah, we recently sat down and talked with John Saxon, which was pretty awesome, was it not, Jay? It was pretty damn awesome, yeah. John Saxon was awesome. I like John. He's cool.

He's been in so many movies and so many TV shows, and I don't know. It was cool to sit down and talk to him. He was pretty awesome. All right, so let's go to John, and Jay and I will both be there this time. We're here with John Saxton.

Just wanted to, I guess, start at the basics. I mean, I guess, how did you get into movies? I think I wanted to become an actor very, I don't know, maybe by 13, 14. I think the first time it happened was that somebody had some radio program, you know, sheets of paper and so on, and they gave them to me. And I got the kids in the neighborhood around where I lived in Brooklyn, and I said, you play this, I'll play this, and you play that.

And I realized that I was playing much better than most of them. So I started thinking about it. And after I graduated. From high school in Brooklyn, I was. One day playing hooky, and not after, but during the time I was going to school a guy came out and said uh he gave me his card and it was a a an agency that went to have pictures taken not pictures but magazine stuff and articles and i started doing that the moment i got out of high school from that i started to go to um taking acting classes at carnegie hall in new york and slowly and slowly and then one day i.

Was um. In the park, in Central Park, and there was a movie going on, and a guy came over to me and said, okay, you won't be an extra. Then the director came over and put me in the scene between two of the actors in it. And that became something that was. Somehow got important.

And the things that I was doing. Also brought about the company, which was McFadden Publications. They had like 10 different magazines going, and one was Modern Romance, another was Photo Play. And the editor of the company called the agency I was with, and I thought, oh, this is great, because I had done a magazine, article where I played a Puerto Rican gang fighter. Who had been killed in a gang shootout.

And I was laying in this terrific picture, I wish I still had it, of me laying by a trash can, bleeding with a girl next to me. And so I went to the thing, and I thought, I'm going to get another job. It was like $ 30 I was getting for that. So a guy came out and said, do you ever think of being an actor? I said, yeah, I go to acting school.

And he said, wait here for a minute. He called an agent in Hollywood. This was a guy who conducted the magazine, the photo playing magazine for Hollywood. And it was a big. Party kind of situation.

He said, come in the office. The guy called and he said, gave me a phone. And the phone says, do you want to be an actor? And I said, yeah, I go to Carnegie Hall and I'm an actor. And this guy was an agent, a big agent in Hollywood.

And he brought agency papers to me or to. His father's because I was not yet 18 years old. And so I got that going. He then helped me do, while he was in Hollywood, in New York. And I did an audition at Warner Brothers as well.

By that time, he was saying, I can't do anything much for you. You have to maybe come to Los Angeles. I saved every penny I had. And about less than six months later, I took an airplane and went to Los Angeles. And I go into Universal Studio, and I did an audition, and they hired me, and I had a contract at Universal.

From that start, I made parts and films, and eventually went on and on to make more and more films. Probably 125 to today, or more. And television shows and so yeah you've got quite a list and and uh theater as well that's a long story but that's it that's the whole story as how i got to become an. Actor um we're gonna hit a few of them there um i know queen of blood was was early on what was. That like working well it was not as early as the first things i did um.

The number of pictures uh i. Went to paris to work with uh Rex Harrison and his wife in a picture called The Reluctant Debutant with Sandra Dee. I already done a picture with her. I did about 10 or 12 pictures at the studio until the studio system was dying. Television was coming in.

And so I was on my own. I started working elsewhere. I went to Europe. I did pictures in Italy, came back, and went back all over the world. I don't know.

Did you want to get into the martial arts? Yeah, I know you. Well, yeah, during that time, I always wanted... When I was a kid, I wanted to see a movie when I was maybe seven or eight. It was at the end, sort of the end, the least in my neighborhood, the movies about...

World War II. And I remember seeing the scene where an American soldier, this would have probably been in the Philippines, was just looking around, you know, with a rifle, and all of a sudden a Japanese soldier comes out, like, looked really like he hadn't eaten or anything, and he had his hands up in the air, and he held himself up like this. And then when he came to this soldier, he raised his hand, and the soldier thought, this guy is such a little weakling. He went to shake his hand and this little Japanese guy threw him over his shoulder, took his rifle away and bayoneted him. I thought, oh my God.

I went back to school and I tried to sit every time in the schoolyard to try to throw somebody over my shoulder. And I couldn't. I never did it. When I got to Los Angeles, I found that there was judo. So I got to do that.

And finally... Before. Everybody was throwing me over their shoulder, I started to learn how to throw somebody over my shoulder. Then I did karate, and then I did this and that and the other thing. So a little bit, and then that led to the picture I was in with Bruce Lee.

Yeah, probably one of my, it's by the way, it's my top number one martial arts film. Well, it probably is. I don't know what the, There are new ones coming out. And there's a different term to it, you know. There's one that I got a video from that I haven't yet opened.

It was. Nobody knew much about what was going on. You know, I mean... And so, I mean, at that. Time, just before the movie with Bruce Lee, I began realizing that riding around, like in Los Angeles, I.

Would see on every. at the edge of the mall, there was somebody that had something like a dojo. And he was teaching karate, he was teaching judo, he was teaching something or other. And I thought, boy, this is going to be big time. Then all of a sudden I got this call about doing a film in Hong Kong with an agent. That I had.

He called me and said, Warner Brothers has just sent me a script They want to make some kind of cockamamie picture with some cockamamie Chinese actor in Hong Kong. Read it, see if you like it. I read it, and I called him. I said, you know, I think it's going to be brilliant. Good, good, good, good.

Then I thought about it a second time, and I thought, I don't know. I read the script. It was like 40 pages. And I thought, I don't know, maybe I don't know. I said, you know, tell them I don't want to do it.

Did you tell them? So I called in and I told them that I didn't want to do the film. They asked me why. And I said, well, not enough stuff. You know, if you'd get more of this.

Oh, that's a great idea. This is a great idea. I said, oh, you really think so? Yeah. Okay, I'll do it.

Called my agent. I said, I'm going to do it. He said, good. Take some money or put it in the bank and it's a piece you shouldn't have ever seen, you know. And that was Enter the Dragon.

Okay. And that's what happens. You got to fight Bolo Young in that movie, too. What about him? You got to fight him?

You had a fight scene with him? Oh, yes, of course, at the end. At the very end? I guess I supposedly kill him by beating him to death. Oh, God.

All right. So. I guess, how much specific training did you have to do for that one? I had been doing all this kind of stuff one place or another. I mean, I did Tai Chi.

I still do Tai Chi. I tried a little bit of this, a little bit of that. In fact, most of the time, at the end of which, when I was supposed to go to do this picture with Bruce Lee, I was no longer doing karate in class and stuff like that. When I went to see Bruce Lee and met him for the first day, I started talking with him about one thing and another, and we were getting to be really great interested in each other and so on. And I started asking him about things that I didn't find, like Bagua.

I don't know if you know what Bagua is. And I said, I'd like to see, do you know what Bagua is? And he said, And Tai Chi, and he said, Tai Chi is a head trick. So he took me to, sent me to somebody. And Bruce Lee, he had what he had done when he left Los Angeles, and he was about to be able to do a series called Kung Fu.

Yes. What happened was the station, the nation that was going. To put it on, determined after a while that the American people don't really want to see a Chinese actor every week. So they left him out. What I didn't tell Bruce when I saw him was I was second in line to do Kung Fu.

I couldn't do Kung Fu because I was doing a series called The Bold Ones at Universal. So they said, I ain't going to let you go. You're going to do that. And I said, okay, forget it. This is how things happen.

And I never told Bruce that I was going to be the. Second in charge of that film. And then I guess when you first read Nightmare on Elm Street, what did you think of that script the first time you read it? I liked that similarly, in a sense that I thought the first, at least third of the script, really fascinated me. And I was going to do it.

It was great to do it. And I had made a deal with it. And to make a long story short, the first day I came on the set, I didn't know who the director was. I said i walked around i said who's the director so and it was a cemetery scene so i went over to him and i started talking to him and i told him i liked it but i also told him i said i liked the first part very very much sort of not wanting to bother him the first time they met him to say that i don't know about the rest of this stuff but people falling through mattresses And things like that. That's not my interest.

You know. I don't believe in that too much. But nevertheless, I stuck with the story as much as I could. And all of a sudden. It came out.

And it came out in the first. two weeks uh three weeks of daily variety you know it was in first place a film that costs very little and that almost never got made because i remember what happening i was waiting for a long time i said they're supposed to take wardrobe uh you know and looking at my watch and saying i thought it was supposed to do that last week and i called i said what's happening About wardrobe. And there was a silence. Because they didn't have enough money to make the picture. And somebody who was a DVD, wasn't DVD at that time, was just going out, selling, influenced or put money into the picture to make it work. That's how it got started.

And that's how the company continued to make it. money and and and not only the first one then there was the second i was in the third and they made seven. At all in which i was in the last one as well yeah. Do you have anything else gosh you've been in so many different tv shows that i've watched growing up over the years i think you had parts in wonder woman. Yeah i think i did a two-parter in that it was funny too I think I played a German soldier. I always liked.

I guess I started having connections or people. Realizing I was doing... I don't know where I got all this stuff. Maybe because I'm living in Brooklyn. You live a distance away from Scandinavians, across the street from Jewish people.

I was a Shabbos goy. You know what that means? No. Shabbos goy is somebody that they want somebody to come in to turn on the lights to turn out because Jews are not supposed to do that. So I would go in.

There to cut off the lights, to put off the gas and stuff like that. And up and down the street, the Irish and the, you know. So there was always a. Little bit something happening that sounded, that you could hear. So I started doing, you know, character roles.

I played Mexicans, several Mexican roles and stuff like that. I think you've been in a couple episodes of A-Team. You were in Six Million Dollar Man, Six. Million Dollar Woman. Six Million Dollar Man.

I'm losing my mind about the titles of the pictures. I can understand. You've done a lot of stuff. A lot of TV shows. A lot of stuff that I.

Grew up with. Me too. I think I even saw you had an action figure made after. Well, that was from Enter the Dragon. Yeah, yeah.

There. As a matter of fact, it's been made three different companies, and I've been told that there's another company now wanting to. Continue that business of the figures of characters. That's pretty hard to find. I haven't been able to find it.

I've got a bunch of them in the closet. Okay, man. Thank you very much, sir. I'm chilled. Yeah, it's pretty cold in here.

Lullaby, rock-a-bye, lullaby, lullaby. John Saxon was awesome. I bumped into him in the hallway. I thought I was afraid I was going to break him or something. Yeah, well, the action figure that I was actually talking to him about wasn't the new one.

They had taken his face for a $ 6 million man action figure that I tried to find on eBay to get him to sign, but they wanted way too much money for. Nice. It wasn't a character that he played on $ 6 million man. They actually took his face and used it for a different character. But I'm not sure if he knew.

That or not. That's what I was going to say. It seems like the law needs to get involved with this. Yeah, I don't know if he knew that or not. They stole my face.

They stole my car. I remember how he yelled at that guy last time he stopped. That was pretty damn funny. But me and him were having a very hardcore discussion about cars. You don't interrupt guys when they're talking about cars.

Especially when you're interrupting with something stupid like, Is that from Star Trek? No, dummy. Yeah, he yelled at that guy. That was pretty funny. Yeah.

He did a lot of TV shows, none of which were Star Trek. Get it right. Yeah. I don't remember what it was. What was it?

Oh, I didn't get a chance to ask him how it was to work with, oh, man, what was her name? God, how can I forget your name? Wonder Woman. Linda Carter? Linda Carter, yeah.

How do you forget Wonder Woman's name? That's like your big thing. You always say Wonder Woman. I'm tired. But yeah, I wanted to ask him what it was like working on Wonder Woman with Linda Carter.

But that's too late now. Next time I talk to you, John, I'll ask you about the Linda Carter thing. Because I had a huge crush on Linda Carter when I was like eight, I think. No, maybe I was six. Wow.

It's Linda Carter. She was Wonder Woman. I can't argue with that. No. Anything else on Joe?

No, no, that's it. He seemed pretty awesome. He was pretty awesome. John Saxon's awesome. And has been in a million projects.

He's been in a crap load of projects, and I don't think he gets as, I don't think anybody gives him the due that he's owed, you know. And he's probably one of those actors, I think he's a great actor, but I don't think he's ever going to get the recognition. He was just a working actor. He's been in everything, it seems like. He was ready to get a job, and like you said, he did.

And then from there, I mean, they cast him in everything. But he was so good at just kind of being certain actors or playing certain parts that you never did go, oh, yeah, it's John Saxon. Yeah, it's, oh, it's John Saxon playing John Saxon. It's not like Winona Ryder or Keanu Reeves where every movie they're in, they're like, oh, well, that's... pretty much how they play it nobody ever says they're good at it yeah no john saxon's good and half the time you don't even know he's in some of the stuff you're like holy crap that was john saxon i didn't even recognize him a lot. Of that stuff even stuff that i had seen but it's like i'd forgotten because it'd been years ago i was like oh yeah he's in that too.

Good lord yeah he's he worked in a lot of stuff i'm sorry you're cold john i You should have gave him your jacket. I didn't have a black... I didn't have my jacket on. So, he wouldn't probably have accepted it. You should have cuddled him.

Cuddled with him. Nah, he probably. Old man cuddle. He probably would have been like, get the fuck off of me. Get away from me, you creepy killer.

You weird kid. Lullaby, lullaby, lullaby blue. One minute left to top off the evening with a treat from. Our snack bar. Still time if you hurry.

Listen. Do you hear it? It's getting closer. Much closer. Don't be afraid.

Be very, very afraid. I've got a message. For you. Ready for death. I'm Gray.

Take a journey with me through the dark side of cinema in the Dark Hours Horror Podcast. Find it at thedarkhours.net. The Dark Hours. Terror has no shape. It's far beyond anything your mind could ever conceive.

I made it for $ 30, 000 in two days and a night. This is Roger Corman, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown. It's part of your problem, you know. You haven't seen enough movies. All of life's riddles are answered in the movies.

And now, on with the show. The End. Here you go, Jerry. Sounds interesting. I don't want to know, do I?

I want to know some people, but I'm kind of trapped in the corner. This does taste like hotel faucet water. We're at a hotel, and that is faucet water. I know. I'm becoming a water snob.

There is a Coke right there that nobody's drinking. That's probably somebody else's Coke, and I'm. Not going to take their Coke. We'll be gone. I will not take somebody's Coke.

I don't know what happened to that, Randy. Damn, are we still recording? They told us we. Could have anything we wanted. That's why I'm taking that lamp.

I'm choking. Calm down. Now what? Oh. I think it is time for the secret circle reveal of the next exciting feature.

Okay, kids, get out your recorder pins. I lost mine. Set your pins to B2. Here is the message. You should write in and get yourself another one.

Okay. I'll borrow Misty's. No, you won't. You know I don't share. I'll look over your shoulder when you're not looking.

No, you know that pisses me off. All right. Next week we will be back. With a specific movie and a special guest star. Next week we will be doing Somewhere in Time.

Which, Fozzie was right, it is not a serial killer movie. Or the Jack the Ripper movie, I'm sorry. Okay, I'm not the only one then. I did that for years. Because they both came out right around that same time.

They were both about time travel. And yeah, every time I go, wait, no, it's the other one. No matter which one it came up, I was just like, is that the one with, no. He was like, is that the Jack the Ripper movie? I'm like, no, Brian said it's a chick flick.

He's like, oh, it's the one with Christopher Reeves. It is the one with Christopher Reeves. So, as previously mentioned, we will be watching Somewhere in Time next episode. Lucy, you were there. Shall we reveal the secret guest?

I don't know. You make the call. He's pretty exciting. He's pretty excited. He's kind of my new favorite person.

He hugged me. He kind of is. I kind of love him. With that plug, we better tell him. So, yeah, we will be talking with.

He'll be in suspense. That way they'll definitely listen. All right, you heard it. Misty said, keep you in suspense. It was lively, and he was so enthusiastic about the film.

Like, I was a little wishy-washy going into the conversation, and I realized halfway through that it's my favorite. Movie of all time also. He roped you right into it. You can tell him if you want. No, you said no.

We can't argue with that. It's Doug Jones. See what I did there? Took it away, then I gave it back. Yeah, that's right.

I'm sorry. I'm tired and hungry. Oh, Jesus. She's never going to want to do another show with us again. I wonder why.

So, yes, we will be talking with none other than Mr. Doug Jones, star of half of Del Toro's movies. And he was one of the gentlemen. Hellboy. And one of our favorite shows, Buffy.

One of the favorite episodes. One of the best episodes ever written. The show's awesome. So, he was one of the gentlemen. Some of the best dialogue ever.

You just want Xander to shut up, don't you? Kind of. Just don't say anything bad about him. I'm coughing. I won't.

She's adorable. She is adorable. So, yes, we will be back next week with Somewhere in Time with special guest Mr. Doug Jones. Hells yes.

Who is just ridiculously awesome and excited. And he hugged us, but we'll go into that more next time. I'm still curious about that one photo he had on his table that involved him with his pants down and boxers that have hearts on them. I pointed it out to you. That's a classic.

Yeah, I saw it. What's it from? No, just in general. That's a classic look. Doesn't everybody wear those?

No. Oh, never mind. What do we want to round this out with? What's a big song that ties to our events. Of the day?

We didn't really discuss most of our events of the day. Though, did we? Is there any songs about being crowded with fat, sweaty men? I don't think I want to hear them if there are. Doesn't sound like a good song at all.

Being too close to too many people. I hate the police. Don't stand so close. Yeah, I hate the police. But there you go.

Oh, they were good back in the day. No, they weren't. All right, fine then. We've got our theme. Let's round it out.

Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week. Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening. Bye.

Bye. Bye. Bye. She wants him so badly, knows what she wants to be. Inside her, there's longing.

This girl's an open page. Bookmarking, she's so close now. This girl is half his age. Don't stand, don't. Stand so, don't.

Stand so close to me. Don't stand. So close to me Her friends are so jealous. You know how bad girls get. Sometimes it's not so easy to be the teacher's pet.

Temptation, frustration, so bad it makes him cry. What must stop? She's waiting. This car is warm and dry. Don't stand, don't stand so Don't stand so.

There was something and I'm trying to see if it's a baby spider, but it's just floating there, so it could be something dead. It'll be okay. If it was a spider, you were going to have to get it. It'll be fine. It's a baby spider.

It's not moving, so I think it's just something dead. Okay, we'll reset back. You'll be okay. Okay. Sorry.

I don't like spiders. They're tiny. But it's not a spider, so it's okay. All right. Randy missed that one.
