Movie Meltdown - Episode 278 This week we come to you "live" from the "Days of the Dead" convention in Indianapolis. Hi, this is Doug Bradley, pinhead from the Hellraiser Films. You're listening to Movie Meltdown. You better keep listening to Movie Meltdown or I will tear your soul apart. This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right, this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced with profanity even more than usual.

If you're not comfortable with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode for you. but we have many other episodes to choose from that do not feature Misty and will probably be far less offensive. Okay, maybe. With that having been said, on with the show. It's showtime. Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.

I'm doing a human interest piece on you. Well, I'm flattered. I'd love for your piece. To be on me. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown.

I'm Brian. I am Misty. I'm Ken. We have run into Ken here at the, let's see, where are we? At the Days of the Dead Indianapolis.

We are coming to you live via digital recording from Days of the Dead in Indianapolis. And we've wandered around most. Of the day. Yeah. I'm tired.

Yeah. Kind of exhausting. We're all sweaty messes. It usually is kind of exhausting at all. I don't sweat.

I glisten. Oh, yes. Because she's a girl. Duh. That's how it works.

Do we want to address the show festivities first and foremost? What festivities? The panel? Are we talking about the panel? We went to a panel.

I hardly ever go to panels, but I was pretty excited. I think I was more excited than half the people that were up there because I'm pretty sure some of them were still asleep. Possibly high. Possibly high and or drunk. I'm not really sure.

I mean, I'm not judging. Whatever. Who cares? I could have done without the bandana. From somebody.

We're not going to name names. No. I think his name's Craig. Okay. If he doesn't know how this game works.

Why do I care? Shit. Bandana was silly. You're a white guy. Knock that shit off.

He might be a crip. You don't know. It was baby blue. That's no crip. That's like faded blue.

Baby crip? No. Baby crip. Baby crip. Smart cool.

There you go. That's the prequel. Yeah. No, it's been interesting. I was really stoked early on because Dario Argento is going to make his Midwest Indianapolis debut.

And a damn set of stairs wound up ruining all of that. So he wasn't able to make it. As I said, older celebrities, stop falling down. It's killed two of you recently. No more stairs.

Yeah. Those little things that pick your ass up and carry you up the stairs. You've seen Gremlins. That's right, Polly Holliday. Where's she at?

She's probably dead, too. Probably because she fell down the stairs. Damn stairs. So, yeah, as if the whole, you know, HR Giger thing wasn't bad enough. Then we had A & B Davis.

Yeah. Now Argento's trying to throw himself down. I don't know what's going on. Can't they get a ranch-style home and be okay with it? Really?

Just get rid of these stairs. Yeah. It's crazy. So that was a bummer. So I've been kind of hungover a little bit. just to start this thing geek hangover yeah exactly it's like well you know the main guy isn't going to be here so whatever you know so um it's been interesting though it's it's um you know like terry's here.

Um oh wait wait okay let's go ahead and hand this to mr. Okay You mean the reasonable facsimile that used to be Tara Reade? Because I'm pretty sure none of that is actually her original parts anymore. I don't think she has a belly button that rests somewhere between her boobs. I'm not really sure.

I think it's in the center of her back. Because they managed to actually flatten her stomach back out. It's not lumpy like it was. Because it was quite a mess for a while. I don't think I'm shocking anybody when I say this.

Wow. This is not a big surprise. Everybody knows the Franken-nipple incident. Everybody knows the belly with the lumps, and it was no good. I cannot speak for the nipples, but the belly has been fixed.

We can discuss how they used to be, but we didn't see them today. They did not make an appearance so far. But she has no ass. I don't know if it's because they pulled her stomach up so flat that it's pulled her ass out from underneath of her. She does have big shoulders, so maybe there's something there.

There's absolutely zero abs. The toddler-sized pants that she's wearing, there's nothing to keep them up. I mean, I'm serious. I am not being facetious. My entire arm is bigger around than her entire leg, like top to bottom.

I mean, her leg's a little bit longer because she's not a weird freakishly mutant short-legged person. I'm going to corroborate your ass story. I won't fight the fact that I was looking at your ass, but there wasn't any ass there. I just kept staring over there going, what? I saw an ass crack, I think.

There was some sort of crack involved, but there was no ass attached to it. It's confusing, really. It was broken. Oh, man. But, I mean, she was a lot tinier and petiter and cuter than I had anticipated.

I was like, oh, my God, this is going to be a fucking train wreck. This is going to be a nightmare. This is going to be like, ugh. But then I saw her, I'm like, you know? She looks really cute.

Yeah. And she was so tiny. Yeah. Like tiny. Even her head.

I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed. By her tiny cranium? Well, no, just that she wasn't a hot mess. That it wasn't a train wreck. Yeah, that it wasn't a train wreck.

You know, it's like Gary Busey was here last year, last summer. And I was like telling a buddy of mine, I'm like, I just kind of want to go with a stick. Just like a poke him to see what will happen, you know. And we got here. He's like the most sedate guy.

Everything was cool. And I'm like. Son of a gun. There was also a sign next to him that said, please don't poke the pieces. Yeah, right.

You know. I have this running thing that eventually I'm going to like take my finger and I'm going to shove it into Sean Patrick Flannery's forehead and see if it like stays. I'm pretty sure it's like silly putty at this point. I still want to see you like attach the blondie up there and see if it shows up on its forehead. It very well might because I mean, granted, yes, he is delightful.

He's the nicest person. I can't help it. But that face, I'm not, I mean, it's, It doesn't look human at this point. I don't think you can make human expressions. I think it's just kind of like that one.

Speaking of Tawny Katane. Yo. I thought she was out here. Oh my god, yeah. What was up with Tawny Katane's face?

I mean, it was pulled so... You couldn't pull that shit any tighter. I mean, you just couldn't. It was like. And why would you want to?

Seriously, it's like... It's like... I can't even, the face, it's like her ears almost met in the back. It was pulled so tight. I was just trying to ask how much extra it would be to pose with a photo over on the hood of my car.

Yeah, which would be awesome. And then how much it would cost to fix the paint job. Oh my God. Was there any other faces we were terrified of? Oh, that one girl who always terrifies me.

Leanna Quigley. with her weird mole come on I've. Not seen Leanna in quite a while so I pointed. Out her weirdness just a while ago I'm like oh look at her face and then we walked. Away that's just sort of a normal status that's not like an adjustment really. There are several reasons to go to horror conventions one is to be a fan of the movies the second is to go oh my god I.

Was disappointed that that guy from Nightbreed aged so badly Because he was old to begin with. Which guy? The one with the face. The one with the face? Yeah, the one that he cut his face off.

Yes, Narcissus. The one who wanted him to take him to Meridian. Meridian? Midian. Midian.

I'm getting him. I'm taking him somewhere else. Yeah. Do you like to join in? What are you talking about?

Tell us your favorite part. Tell us your name and your favorite part of the festival today. My name is Steve Vessel, and my favorite part are all the boobs. Well, enough about the idiots here. What did you like?

That was Steve. I don't know why he's insulting everyone like that. Oh, stop it. Honey, help me. Vinyl.

You love vinyl. This is true. I love vinyl. Lots of vinyl. Lots of records here tonight.

I found, well, and they're cheap, no matter what anybody tells you. Misty. They're not my cheap level of cheap enough. Whatever. $ 25 for. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is cheap.

That's more than like $ 5. Screw it. It's like way too much money. For an extra $ 5, Grandpa will bring it to your house for you. I wouldn't doubt it.

He ain't got nothing better to do. It hangs out here in this hotel all the time. Aside from that, have you seen any interesting movies lately? Yes, Open Me, The Collective, volume, what, 10, 15? Always good.

And it's freezing in the screening room. Nothing good to say. He doesn't like any of his own comments. There she is right there. There she goes with her face.

It's weird. As she's talking smack about Leanna. No, don't do that. Leanna Quigley has just gone past as Misty's talking her smack. It happens.

Would you like to plug them in? Sure. Post-Mortem America 2021, starring Linnea Quigley, Cameron Scott's new film. My name's Athena Prohodko. I'm also a filmmaker, such, since I'm plugging things here.

Plug, plug, double plug. We stowed it. Commandeered it. And if you'd like an autograph of someone, we haven't figured out who. Yeah, I think his name is...

William Jell-O. We don't know who. It's to or from or any of those things, really. Oh, that's horrible. Do they have, like, a lost and found?

Oh, wow. It might be this person, since they have an entire photo. To Christina. So maybe that's Christine. We need to sit here and wait until we see her go by.

Yeah. Like, you! Come here! No. Hopefully they come back.

It came free with the tape. Hey, one of my. Favorite movies is a really shitty movie. Which is? Street Trash.

No, it's not shitty at all. That movie was awesome. No, it was awesome. I absolutely love Street Trash, but it's terrible. It's terribly awesome.

It really is. Terrible. Okay, we're going to fight. Fight, fight, fight. No, it's actually one of my favorite movies ever, but yeah.

I'm going to get. Some Viper now. You have five minutes for a rebuttal. I'm going to buy some Viper. Yeah.

Fuck you up. There's very little editing going on in this it's good anywhere details. Would you like to tell people your favorite part of the show. Oh, man, there's so many. I come to these every year, and there's just too many things to even mention.

But I'm just walking down the hallway, and there's Grandpa from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And I met him at the last one, and I got my picture taken with him. He's getting a drink. And then I'm walking down the hallway and almost bump into David Naughton from American Werewolf in London. Are you kidding me?

But I come out to these every year. And this is the same building that had the famous Monsters of Filmland convention. And I was out here for that. And there was a guy sitting behind a card table that nobody's talking to. And so I walk up to him with my nephew, an older guy.

And his name was, let me think. I'm trying to figure out. I remember what his name was. Oh, yeah, Bala Lugosi Jr. You probably never heard of him.

And we walk up and we go, hey, we just watched Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein. And he goes, I watched them make it. Oh, he's got a one-up here. I'll be telling people for the rest of my life, hey, if you watched them make Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein, you could just pretty much walk around with your chest stuck out. Absolutely.

Absolutely. Absolutely. And it's just too many people to mention. Yeah, there's a lot. There was a guy that played Jason.

Oh, yeah, Derek Mears. I met him before, yeah. Yeah, he's a really nice guy. I got a picture taken standing back to back of him. I'm 6'4, and he made me look.

Like one of the. Extras from The Wizard of Oz in the beginning of it. Right. You know, the over-the-road folks. Yeah, absolutely.

Right, I was just joking. You remember that movie, right? And, yeah, just too many people. I was walking around. Oh, Doug Bradley.

How can I forget that one? Yeah. Wow, Doug Bradley, Mr. Pinhead himself. That's right.

Yeah. Oh, and Butterball was a big surprise from the Hellraiser movie. Oh, yeah. Everybody's going, yeah, he's little. Yeah.

Yeah, that's it. That's what that was like. I go, I bet you had fun making that. He goes, well, not really. He's got a hot costume.

I go, I bet you couldn't even eat. Yeah, it's a blast. I think supernatural and science fiction films are some of the greatest artwork around. Somebody asked me one time what's the greatest sculptures ever done. I go, the top two sculptures ever done is Michelangelo's Moses and Jack Kevin's The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Oh, sweet. Yeah, right. It is modern gargoyles. When you look at the gargoyles in. The cathedral, today's versions can be found in these movies.

And you're talking some of the best artisans. And some of the nicest people, too. It's amazing. I talked to the woman from Hellraiser, and she also works with animal rights groups. Oh, okay.

That's the kind of people you're dealing with. Sure, absolutely. The nicest people you've ever met, and definitely the most creative. That's the thing, yeah, absolutely. Am I giving you a good rundown?

Absolutely. This is exciting. This is great, yeah. It's nowhere else can you walk down the hallway and almost bump into the American werewolf. Yeah.

I told that somebody, and they go, you mean Indiana werewolf, and I. Go, okay. Well, thanks. Thank you. There we go.

Yeah. Passing us by, giving us the wrap-up. That's it. It's the full fan experience. But she's got some cookie crunch over there, or cookie crisp.

That's nookie crisp. I thought it was Cookie Crisp. I'm hungry, dude. Everything looks like food at this point. I don't even care.

Nookie Crisp. She's got it in her bag over there. I don't know what that is. You probably don't want to. I don't want to know, but I want some cereal.

I bet Tara E could hook you up with something. I'm sure she could. She's weird. All right. Where were we at before we got sidetracked several times there?

Let's see. So Argento's a no-show. Because of health concerns. Gravity. Yeah, gravity.

Stupid gravity. They need to make. Instead of doing Dracula 3D, his next movie should just be called Stairs. And it's just about. People on stairs and the horrible things that happens.

And then the next one could be Tub. Did you watch Dracula? I didn't. I've heard horrible, horrible things. I'm really kind of being a snob anymore.

And it's like, The last movie I've seen him do is what, I can't remember which one came later, was Phenomenon or Opera, one of those two. And after that, I've heard it kind of started to slide downhill a bit. I've heard not so favorable things. Yeah, so I'm like, I can skip those and be good with what I've seen, you know, so. I'm just going to stick with Suspiria.

Anything other than that, I'm sure I'm just going to end up being disappointed. I mean, there are certain things I do need to branch out and widen my horizons of Argento movies as I ain't going to lie. That's the only one I've seen. But I love that one. But I love that one.

You should see Inferno. The one that comes right after that. It's the second part. I want to see that. And I want to see Deep Red.

Yeah. Creepers. Yeah. Jennifer Connelly. Phenomena.

Phenomena. Creepers. Yeah. Jennifer Connelly is so pretty. But I've heard that movie is kind of slow and boring.

But. It's cool. It's got a crazy payoff. I do want to watch it. I do need to watch more.

I love Suspiria though. Yeah. Suspiria is awesome. Yeah. If I said the name right.

If not. Sorry. Sorry. No, totally on it. Totally on it.

I think if you stick with that era, that older era, you're probably better off. It's only as newer when some fans do not seem to be too thrilled with. Yeah. Fall down the stairs or do one of his pissed off fans be like, oh, this is for Dracula. Shut them down.

I think we need to make a short film documenting this. I think you need to capture this moment. Dog just walked by. It's a crazy, it's a very pet-oriented one, because earlier I saw PJ Souls and Nancy Allen were sitting next to each other, and a guy just brought up a random cat, like a kitten. It was a kitten, and it was so cute.

And it had like a black mark on its face, and it kind of looked like Hitler to me. I don't know. Hitler. I'm looking for Hitler, I guess. It's...

Why is that? Would you like to lay on the table and we can try to figure out what your obsession with Hitler is? I have no idea. I think it just stems from wanting to beat some short guy's butt. Or just that I don't like cats.

The kittens. I don't like cats either, but I love kittens. Well, see, that's his plan. That's his master plan is that he is going to take over the world one kitten at a time. But he's so adorable.

Nobody cares. I'll let it happen. I'll let it happen. It does sound like a Hitler move. Mm-hmm.

Kittler. Because it's Kitten Hitler. Kittler. Yes. There's a little more than that.

Yeah. That they are. But, no, I got to meet probably number one on my hottest babes of all time list. Other than my girlfriend. I better put that in there because she is on the show at times.

You're going to get in trouble. She will beat my ass. She can take you. It is Sybil Dan. so I got to meet her. That was pretty interesting.

I'm not really sure who that is. I mean, I saw your picture, but I'm not really sure that I know who she is. Did you ever see Howling 2? That was my go-to. My sister is a werewolf.

I think I've. Seen it, but it's been so many years ago that I don't really remember it. Do you like women in prison movies? Not particularly. They are not my favorite.

There goes PJ Souls. Look at how adorable she is. There's PJ Souls. Previous guest on Movie Meltdown, PJ Souls. What about tomorrow?

Is she doing something tomorrow? Are you doing something tomorrow? No, we're only here for the day. I think she was hoping. I'm meeting her tomorrow.

Oh, are you? But I didn't want to, I mean, go public with that. Awesome. Anyway, we'll keep that. Just me, her, and the Aunt Jemima treatment.

Anyway, go ahead. I think she was confused. Maybe she thought that we were somebody else. She was like, tomorrow, tomorrow. I'm like, what's going on?

You just keep telling yourself that. I'm sticking with my story. I could be somebody else. Dude. Because she is America's sweetheart.

Who are we? She is one of my favorite peoples ever. Yeah. Ridiculously nice and adorable. Absolutely.

Yeah. My buddy Justin got her autograph today, and she was the first celebrity we met at one of these. And got an autograph from. And he's finished like a mini poster of Halloween. He's had all the signatures from that.

And so she was the last one. So it was kind of neat because she was like, I'm the last one. It's like, yep, you know. And then we started talking just in line because she's in stripes. One of my favorites.

Yeah, me too. And he was like, he thought of in line. He's like, I can't remember the line, but it's about Tito Puente. Does that ring a bell? Because at the beginning of the movie, there's a whole thing about Bill Murray talking about.

He's beloved. Yeah, yeah, right. What does he say, though? It's like, you don't like Tito Puente? Well, one day, Tito Puente is going to be dead.

And you're going to be sad. I was listening to him when nobody knew who he was. Right, exactly. That's a hipster move, if ever I saw him. So, yeah, so we were laughing about that online, and we got up to her, and we're like, yeah, we were just talking about Tito Puente, and she looked at us like, what?

You know, and we're like, Well, you know, from Stripes. And she goes, oh, no, no, no. That was another girl. That was his ex-girlfriend. I'm the girlfriend he gets in the army.

Yeah, technically that is a whole different actress. So you're in trouble. But we loved it that she knew the movie so well. Yeah. Like, you know.

That's true. Sometimes you do hit people that don't know what you're talking about. Yeah, you're right. But I'm quoting your movie. But they're like, yeah, it was.

It was a job. Leave me alone. Yeah, exactly. I got to check royalties or whatever. It depends who you're talking to.

Some of them kind of embrace that fan interaction, and some of them are just like, eh, I showed up for work. Leave me alone. To each their own. There's nothing wrong with that. Oh, yeah.

I don't want to talk about work when I go hang out with people. Yeah, right. I can understand their angle sometimes. Sure. So aside from PJ being awesome, who else did you run into?

Nancy Allen was sitting next to her and it was everything I didn't have a lot of cash for this one and so I really was kind of like you know weighing my options I regret not getting her autograph because she is sweet I think about it but I think I'll be alright yeah but. I was going to just be like I was just talking to Robocop but she's like his name's Peter get away from my table but here's a picture on my phone she'd be like I don't get away from my table I get that. A lot. That'd be a good end, though. I'm like, wow, you were this close to John Travolta.

Because I love Blowout. Blowout's a great flick. Now she has cooties. Yeah. No, I love Travolta.

Old Travolta or crazy Travolta? I like them both. Crazy one. Have you ever seen, complete segue, From Paris with Love? I'm familiar with it.

And I still, what was his motivation? It's hilariously awesome. Where was he going with it? He finally was like, you know what? I am bald.

I'll go bald with this. And I'll dye my hair a weird color on my face though because I got rid of my other hair. But what's great is the stunts that are done because it's obviously him getting ready to jump to kick some guy's ass. And then it's like a guy who's at least three sizes smaller. And a third of his age.

It's like he just He, like, exhales all this weight, and then he just goes in. Yeah. It's awesome. It's absolutely awesome. Nice.

But, yeah, no, it was really cool to see her, and she's adorable. Yeah. So, yeah. Very sweet to her fans. Ashley Lawrence liked my tattoo.

I was pretty excited about that. Star of Hellraiser. Yes, she is delightful and gorgeous. And I was walking by, because I ended up getting Doug Bradley's autograph, and I felt bad. I'm like, oh, my God, what if she sees me getting his and not hers?

I'm going to feel so bad. She will smack you. But I was walking by, and she's like, come here. I'm like, what? She's like, let me see it.

And I'm like, I left that on. She's like, that's fucking cool. That's what she said. She's been hanging out with Doug Bradley using that kind of language. He said fuck during the panel, and there was kids in front of us, and I'm.

Like, oh. Yeah, but they had an iPad, so they weren't paying attention to anything. At least they weren't screaming like the one in the back. Oh, my God. Yeah, that was a shrill nightmare.

Why were you poking that child? It was not me. Stop poking children. How many times have we told you? She'd figured out the lamentation configuration and saw the first sign of, I can't think now.

What the dang it. I can't think of the place that they go in Hellraiser. I wanted to say Midian, but that's not it. Meridian? Yeah.

What's that? Purgatory? St. Louis? Yeah.

Maybe. Yeah. It's the same thing. It's where that Rubik's Cube place. It looks like that place in Time Bandits.

That's where they go. They all live in the Time Bandits world. I'd be on board with that. Yeah. Time Bandits is awesome.

You know. It's the blending of the streams, man. You never cross the streams. Never. Well, you cross the streams.

Yeah. We were talking, though, afterwards about that, going back to that Nightbreed panel, that it's a shame that there's not, like, a, you know, like, that was so innovative kind of at the time, even though it's a hot mess. I mean, you know. I love it. I love that movie.

I do, too. Yeah. But it's, you know, it's so innovative because that's, like, the first time on film, really, I mean, other than, like, the Abbott and Costello stuff, where, like, the monsters are actually the good guys, right? I mean, not even in the Abbott and Costello, they just played for laughs, right? Well, and there's this, like, super group of them, you know?

Yeah, right. It's like you get one bad guy. Yeah, you get this whole community of, you know, what are basically, you know, in a way they are, like, they're the freaks. But then you get to that point, it is X-Men, like, because they have these powers. And by the end, you start to see, oh, yeah, they really are, like, you know, kind of a force to be reckoned with.

Right, yeah. It all starts falling apart. But it's a shame, like, there's not, because, I mean, you know, that honestly kind of is a precursor to stuff like Twilight. You know, because Twilight is, you know, a good vampire, sparkly vampires, whatever. Shitty vampires.

Sure. But it's a good guy vampire thing. And, I mean, that was kind of, you know, yeah, it's watered down to. I mean, Love at First Bite was well before that. One of my personal favorites.

That's a great one. It is. Children of the night, shut up! It's great. But, you know, we were just, you know, talking afterwards, like, You know, it's a shame that there's not like an HBO or a Showtime that's like, you know what, there's enough meat here left on the table that we could really do like a Game of Thrones kind of a vibe to it, you know, and do a miniseries.

It's not totally unheard of because look at Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yeah, right. A failed movie that turned into like a super successful popular TV series. Right. Ran for years and was really well written so i mean there is a way to do something like that.

Yeah because it just i just feel like it lends itself to such a bigger scale. And it would be something that yeah even if you just did like a season's worth of an arc on like an hbo or a showtime or fx or whoever wants to back it yeah yeah it's got enough well that's what i was telling her on the way up here that's one of the reasons i was such a big fan of nightbreed is not just because i love the movie but they had these weird, and it's funny, she brought it up in the middle of that panel. They had that, I had that book that she was like, does anybody here have it? It's at home, but like it had a photo breakdown of each and every monster and a little bit of a backstory. Some of them didn't even go into the backstory and then other ones would give, you know, some of the bigger characters they've given a big extensive backstory and like, Several shots, they took them in for professional photo shoots in the full makeup.

Yeah. It looks amazing if you can find one out there. Sure, it's out of print at this point. But yeah, if you can dig one up, it's a great book. But I always loved that.

And then I was telling her earlier, I read the Nightbreed comic series. Oh, right. And it was uneven. But I think it's because I talked to Vince that was in Hellraiser. And he ended up writing for Nightbreed comics years later.

Oh, wow. And I keep. he was talking about how it did kind of get passed off from one person to the next, and there were different people in charge of getting it made. So it sort of ended up in different hands quite often, and that's why it ends up like the artwork will change drastically from one issue to the next. Oh, wow. Like an entire new style, not even just like a little different look.

Oh, my gosh. Like it will be an entire different visual style from one issue to the next one, and that was very strange. But it would take certain runs that were really good. And it would follow very specific characters and give you side stories or introduce new characters to that little family. Oh, that's awesome.

And that was awesome. So it's like I really can see something like that. that, like, would take off and be its own sort of a separate thing but still connected to that basic, you know, the novel and the original storyline. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, I just, you know, I remember, like, you know, there's, yeah, I've got that book too. And it was just not only, you know, you actually get to see kind of in detail the creatures that were in the you know the film for just seconds you know in the background yeah right yeah you could see up close and kind of see the detail you.

Know which they put so much work into right it seems ridiculous that they and maybe again maybe that's part of stuff that got cut out yeah it's going back in the cabal cut but yeah some of them just like why would you spend so much time making these elaborate and it's not even like it's makeup like some of them are huge physical pieces that they're wearing. Some are really huge and like a lot of work went into it. And like you get maybe a half second of it in the background of some other scene. And like, it does seem like they should make more use of all those characters and all that impressive, you know, makeup and costuming that they did. Right.

Yeah. Yeah. It's just, it's a shame. I mean, it's, I guess there is a, uh, they call it the cabal cut or the cabal version that's coming out. I don't know who's got there.

I think they said the Severin maybe. Did they finally say? I didn't hear who they said. They said it is like a fall release is what they were saying on the panel. Okay, so I didn't realize fall.

It is supposedly coming now. They've been commenting and teasing that it was coming for four or five years at least. And it's been rumored for fans well before that. So it's good to hear that it sounds like it's actually coming out. Yeah, I don't know.

Were you at the Horror Hound in Indy where they had, where Barker, Clive Barker was there and they had the. We were there, but we were totally sidetracked. Yeah, I don't think I knew they were doing a screening until. After the fact. That's why I was hoping they'd do one like something here.

Yeah, that would have been great. I guess at this point it's coming out, so we'll still get to see it. Well, half the cast was here, at least the important members. I'm sure half of them were stunned. Well, at least one of them seemed like he.

Was kind of high. Yeah. Bandana needed to go, buddy. He still looks good, though. I mean, Uncle Keith still looks pretty hot.

I ain't gonna lie. He held up okay for, you know, I mean, he's been making movies for like 30 years now so i mean that that happens he's looking decent they were all kind of hanging in there. Yeah yeah doug bradley's awesome. Though doug bradley's always off i did. I did finally break down and get his autograph so i'm like we've seen him at so many conventions i'm like he's getting up there i want to regret it if i don't get his autograph.

But you did not bring your monkey for him. Not bring a monkey and I think I'm not sure who was more disappointed me or him because. I think it was him the person in front of us had a monkey oh really like a real monkey oh okay actually. He seemed very confused by their monkey because he looked over at me like he. Just kind of looked and shrugged and he's like this is the crap I have to do he just smiled somewhat into the.

Camera yeah it's yeah I wish there was like a GoPro system like for like a celebrity or like a you know borderline celebrity For one of these weekends because of all the things that you're kind of confronted with, you know, not just the questions, but like. And you don't realize it again. People get like really, you know, excited when they see him. But I'm like and I think that and I try to leave people alone when we're not doing something specific for the show for that very reason. Because we were walking down the hall earlier and it was actually it was Craig that was walking by in front of us. and a guy just standing at his table went, hey, let me ask you something.

And he kind of stops, and you can see this little sigh of, again. Yeah, what is it? He was being nice, but I'm like, okay, you think it's just you, but at one of these weekends, it's every 15 seconds there's somebody else going, hey. Come here. Hey, let me tell you.

What about that one time? I have to tell you what I just heard when somebody walked by. It was some guy complaining to one of his friends, and he said, I don't care if she's blue or purple, as long as we can just get along. That's a very open-minded attitude. Wow.

And I think we can all learn something from that. Horror fans are nothing but progressive. We all need to just get along, no matter what race, creed, color, or sexual orientation. Black and yellow, red or white, blue or purple, it's all right. It's all the same when the lights go out.

Oh, wait, did I say that wrong? Yeah. Sometimes I'm right, and I can't be wrong. My own beliefs are in my song. The picture, the figure, the drama, and then makes no difference what.

You haven't seen enough movies. All of life's riddles are answered in. The movies. And now, on with the show. We got to live.

Do you want to comment on that, Elvira? She was not busty enough. I saw her earlier. I'm like, that girl is lacking enough boob to be a proper Elvira. There was not enough cleavage.

I've seen Elvira's cleavage. It is glorious. And it was not it. I was up close and personal, I have to say. That costs extra.

You know that. Gotta pay extra to motorboater. Damn it. There's a parade of, yeah, costumes. Assassin's Creed.

That was the Assassin's Creed guy. That we were talking about in the other room earlier. Because I was talking about how excited I was going to be when Michael Fassbender is Assassin's Creed guy. I don't know the guy's name. It's just the Assassin's Creed guy.

But if he's wearing that big outfit there, you're not going to be able to see him shirtless. There'll have to be extended scenes. There'll have to be a mysterious scene where he has to take a shower. At some point. A misty cut.

Sort of Silkwood shower where they're scouring flesh off of it. She'd been in the bathroom the whole time. I thought she walked by. Where did she go? Where did she come in the bathroom from?

I don't remember her going in the bathroom. Where did she come from? The whole time. Did she hear me talk bad about her? I thought I talked.

Weird about her. She's weird. She might come after you. She might very well with her face in that mold. Yeah.

I feel like she's behind me now. Gonna pop out of that trash can. Recycle bin. Get a shrink. I almost threw garbage in there earlier.

And I'm like, wait a second. That is not where I put my hair. You will get in trouble. I will so much get in trouble. I think Luanna.

Luanna quickly might come and get me. Is she like the spokesperson for recycling? Maybe. She's like the Smokey the Bear or the Woodsy the Owl. Now the recycling spokesperson is Leanna Quigley.

Yes, yes it is. Hey, where are you putting that? I can totally see that happening. Paper and plastic. Uncanny, isn't it?

It is, truly. There's this sad, sad story that is John Heard. Where do we begin with that one? I don't know. John Heard is just now passing by.

Hey, there you are. Come join in with our talking of smacks. What have you been up to? First, introduce yourself. Hi, I'm Justin.

And now, tell them what you've been doing. What I've been doing here at this convention? Yes. We'll start with that, and then we'll go life in general. Life in general.

Okay. Never mind then, I didn't do anything. Okay. Oh, sorry. Sorry.

Thunder Stolen. No. Somebody saw Corey Feldman. Oh, I did see Corey Feldman and his angel, whose name escapes me. Do you want to be his angel?

A little bit. But I don't look good in it wings. He probably would, actually. So I got to listen to him speak about his life in film and his musical inspirations. And he did say his favorite Corey film was Blown Away.

So check that out if you haven't seen it. Didn't see that coming. Yeah. No. He did admit to the worst being A National Lampoon's Last Resort.

So he's on board with that. That was his worst. That was his worst. Not Meatballs 4, man. It was the worst with Corey Haim.

It was the worst Corey's movie. Yes. Yes. So he did admit to that. They're all made better with Corey Haim.

Yeah. Yeah. Even the worst is still... Not that great, but... Yeah, so I got to hear him talk, and he was very animated and sequence-y.

Full of sequins and sunglasses and. He's been here. He's like the sequence fairy. Yes. You can see the trail of sequence from here to his table.

It's a little bit of Corey. Yeah. So it was a lively conversation. Yeah, that's good. Yes.

It's an ivory conversation. He was much more animated than Craig Sheffer. Yeah. Oh, there's the last name. Oh, whoops.

I think this chair over here is more animated. Yeah. Yeah. And I believe Corey did as many drugs, so he seems to remember a lot. So, got to give him that.

Yeah. Corey has never done drugs. No. What? Either of them.

Not today. All of them. He did all of them. Or not within this last hour. All of the drugs.

All of the drugs. Why is there a Power Ranger here? I have no idea. So yeah, anyways. On that note.

That was a highlight right there. Yeah. That was a highlight, yeah. I found some Albert Poon movies, so that'll be my viewing. Albert Poon from Cyborg fame.

Cyborg, Sword and a Sorcerer. Previous guest on Movie Meltdown. Oh, right on, right on. So yeah. Yes.

So. Yeah. Radioactive Dreams and Dangerously Closed. So that'll be soon on my watch list. I was so shocked at number one, how awesome he was, like how cool he was just as a guy to sit there and talk with.

Yeah. And then like how serious, like when you name off the stuff he's done and you look at like the old VHS boxes, you're like, all right, he's going to be pretty, pretty silly and he's going to like his schlocky stuff. We discussed a movie. He chose it. Kubrick's 2001.

Yeah. Not your take on. It, Misty. Dude, I can't even think about that movie without making my brain hurt. That's why you weren't on that episode.

So we talked about 2001, and then he goes into all of his obsession with film as a child and growing up. on an island that didn't have a way to, uh, develop film and growing up to be a filmmaker. So like, it was really like impressive just kind of talking to you. And then it's even weirder to think about some of the movies he's made me like, this is not the guy I expected actually. So yeah, yeah, he's, he was very cool, but very different than I, I saw him. We did meet him at.

We did at a fright night in Louisville. Yeah. And I was learning. He was very friendly. It was kind of sad though, because he was set up in a hallway.

Uh, Right next to, like, Sybil Dan. Yeah. I was like, okay. You're not quite worthy enough to be in the celebrity room. So you're like Moses, you know, here's the promised land, and you get to walk around the outside.

So it was a little sad. But it seemed really nice. He was happy. I was excited about it. She had a little bit of space to stand, whereas Albert had no space.

He had no space. It was literally like his table and the walkway. And if you stood to talk to him in that walkway, you were obstructing, like, you're a fire hazard. Yeah. Yeah.

Pretty much. I was not thrilled with that setup either. No, no. Lousy hotel. But that's supposedly they're backing in the better one, correct.

This year? So hopefully. As far as I know, I think they're ending up at the same one as the last two years, but they're doing it more or less like they did last year pretty much. But last I heard, that's what they did. I'll be on the record, and yeah, they're kind of screwy.

Because the one hotel they had a bunch of people buy a pool. Like Margot Kidder and the bad guy from Enter the Dragon. Margot Kidder almost died. They had to relocate her the next day because it was so hot in there she was going to pass out. So that's what you want.

You want dead celebrities at your convention. That was also the John Carpenter incident with us. That was not very good. That was a bad trip. This sounds like a story.

Hold on. What went down with you and John Carpenter? We had traveled to that show to get John Carpenter's autograph. That was the main goal. Did he blink at you because it's really creepy when he does that?

No. No, he was fine. He was fine. He gave me the wink. He gave me the, hey, like, there's something I missed going on or something.

Like, hey. Wow. I got a wink that. More creepy. He didn't even blink the whole time I was near him.

I'm not sure. If that's more or less creepy than the wink. We found out when we got there that he wasn't doing photos at his table. And so that there was a– this was one of the first paid photo– Yeah, this game. I mean, this thing, yeah.

So we decided that we would go together to get that photo. And we got the photo. And they said after we got the photo that it would take an hour to print, which was– this was at 6. And we still had a two-hour drive ahead of us. Yeah.

And so then at 7, the photo was not done. And they said it would be another hour. Or two. So we decided to go eat dinner, and then we came back at around. 8.30 or 9.

I don't really remember the times, but it was like two hours later. The photo was still not done. We still had a two-hour drive ahead of us. We didn't get that photo until 10 or 10.30. We didn't get home until midnight or after.

We were expecting to be home by maybe 6 or 7. Yeah, so we were only 6 or 7 hours off schedule that day. Because of digital cameras and. Printing and, yeah. So that was not a good...

That was not good. At least a good quality picture. Yeah, it's decent. It is all right. It's a little crappy.

Yeah, it was okay. Now, I've done them since. I did the one with Robert Englund at Horror Hound a few times back, and that one was really nice. So that company does a really good job. It's just become a whole new business now.

Which, again, it's the bigger Comic-Cons that started it, and then they all realized, oh, we can make this much. So, I mean, yes, they give you a little better quality, but... Now it's a huge price tag that's attached to it. It's a different world. Now that one at Flashback coming up in August, they have Robert Englund in the actual Freddy Krueger makeup.

Oh, really? Yeah. For the last time. For the last time. That's what I was going to say.

He's only going to do it one more time until the new album comes out. But yeah. Yeah. Supposedly it's the last time. It could be anybody in that fucking makeup.

It's like a pound and a half of makeup. It could be random janitor Joe. It could be anybody. You don't know. It could be me in that makeup.

I'm going to start wearing that makeup and I'm going to go around and start charging people 365 goddamn dollars to take a picture of me in some makeup. This is how we're going to be funding Movie Meltdown. We don't have any other income coming in so we're just going to dress Misty up in Kruger gear. How are they going to tell you for sure that it's him without, like, picking it up? Then you're, like, defeating the whole damn purpose.

I mean, seriously, it's a lot of makeup on there. I've seen, you know, people wearing the makeup. It could be anybody. It's probably not that kid from Bad News Bears. But he then is getting interviewed by Sven Gulli.

Sven Gulli's interviewing Freddy Krueger. Oh, nice. It couldn't have been somebody good? Oh. Gulli's the worst, dude.

He is the worst. I have tried. He is so incredibly not funny and not even in an ironic way. It's painfully unfunny because I've tried to watch it. And I'm just like, dude, no, just stop.

Make your rubber chickens and just stop. I. You have five minutes for a rebuttal. There's a lot of Sven love on this side of the table, I think. Sven is great.

I'm sorry. There have been very few people that I've kind of geeked out on, and for whatever reason, I was really excited to see him in Chicago last year. That was a lot of fun. He was super nice. To his fans and was willing to listen and take photos and didn't charge, you know, which I know that sounds.

Really friendly to the little girl that stood behind us after we got done. And then that little girl talked to him for a while. After you pushed that little girl down out of the way. Yeah. Oh yeah.

It was, you know, she wouldn't try to stand in front of me in line anymore, but she was, he was just great with her. Yeah. Cause she was like, hi Sven. You know, she was so excited. Yeah.

And I mean, that's the thing. I mean, that's, you know, he's the only one that really has the platform anymore. To kind of expose these kids, little kids, to the black and white stuff. Or the Hammer stuff that he does show. Being televised, anyway.

I mean, that's the thing. To me, at these shows, what you now realize is that there's... And it just kicked in in the last few years since the internet took over and became the weird YouTube thing it is. But now there are 10 million horror hosts out there. So you've kind of got to step up your game.

That's what I would say. Like, what little I have seen of them, I'm like... he's got a lot of competition now. It's like, he's one of the few being televised, which is rare anymore. But, there's a lot of people waiting to be the new horror host anymore. Well, you know, I mean, having more than one televised would be great.

You know, I mean, it would be back in the day. You know, it's, it's Goularty. It's, it's, well, the original spin, there's the guy. In, Zachary. So, I was trying to think of, you know, those kind of guys.

But, yeah, you know, it could only help. But, at least right now on TV, I know, like, I've got a buddy who's got a daughter who's seven, and she came up to me, this was a couple years ago, she came up to me and she goes, have you ever heard of, out of the blue, have you ever heard of a movie called House of Frankenstein? And I'm like, yeah? At that point, a six-year-old was asking me about that. And she goes, well, I saw a commercial for it on TV, and it looks really cool.

And I'm like, okay, this is great. So we watched it. It's a lousy movie, really. But she loved watching it. It was just a lot of fun.

Making memories. I do like that. I think we've discussed that on the show before, how many people were affected by that when they were kids. And the weird Even then, they were starting to die off compared to what they were at one time. But, like, the last ones that were still being televised were the ones that sort of were latched onto by a lot of the people on the show.

And it's like, it does make a difference, and it does sort of affect that generation coming up there. And I do think it would be great. But, again, maybe we're just being, you know, the old men and women, if you want to get in on this. If you want to be the old generation, I mean, maybe there are a whole new brand of kids sitting there, like the kids in front of us today, with their little iPad, and they're watching... a YouTube version of that that somebody's making in their basement that is maybe introducing them to a whole new bunch of old classic black and white movies. There's new ways to go about it.

We just don't realize it, I think, because we're still stuck in the old way. We want everything to be the old way because we're geeks. That's how we operate. That would be pretty awesome. It is.

It's just weird. I love seeing some of those. Sometimes I'm a little offended because The movies that he does have on sometimes are really, really good. Do you really have to bust on Chris the Werewolf? Because that's pretty great.

But he's usually pretty cool about it. He doesn't tear into the movie like an MST3K. It's more of a, here's the movie and me doing wacky bits. He doesn't interrupt it either. It's interrupted where it would be a commercial break anyway.

So he usually doesn't interject himself into the movie. until right like as a bumper you know so it's not like he's a part. Of that exactly yeah unless it's deserved like you know if it's a really crappy movie then yeah you know by all means. You know there's nothing wrong with mst3 i revisit that on like a weekly basis now and i think they kind of ignited that same thing and a lot of people too that same generation that grew up with comedy central and yeah so it's it's interesting i think so oh did you get new toys I did. I picked up Zombies, Dead Time Stories. You don't have to read, do you?

Yes, actually. It's the scenario book edition, so it's the whole book of reading. So hard. I'm hoping there's a lot more pictures, but yeah, I'm hoping this will add to the excitement of Zombies, which is a game I enjoy. I was going to say, Justin is new to the board game versions of some of the horror stuff, and Well, actually, too, but we played it at Christmas, or not Christmas, New Year's, I guess.

Yeah, New Year's. And around there, and really just. Had a blast with it. So occasionally we'll talk about maybe getting expansion packs or whatever, and so this is an expansion to that where it actually adds storyline. Yeah.

So that's kind of a neat idea. So just randomly walking around town blowing up stuff. Nothing wrong with that. Yeah. Well, and it gave me a chance to tell them that I backed their Kickstarter, so I wanted them to pat me on the back physically instead of just through an email.

That thanks meant a lot to me. I'm hitting miss on the games, but on the book front, Misty, didn't you get a wonderful book lately you'd like to tell people about? Which book? The nudie book? I figured that was the one you wanted to tell people.

3D porn fucking A. I don't remember the actual name of the book. All I know is that it involves at least 40 some odd pictures. It's like vintage-y, like Like, Tara Satana and, like, Betty Page. And a lot of, like, 50s and 60s, like, nudie pictures.

It's not, like, raunchy porn. It's just nudie pictures. Somewhat, like, they're classy, I guess. But, yeah, and it got 3D glasses, so you can see that shit in 3D. Fuckin' A.

Actually, I bought it here in Indianapolis, the first one I bought. I had to buy another one because I gave the first one to my stepdad for Father's Day. After I made sure my sisters weren't around. It's the gift that keeps on giving. It's nudie porn.

It's 3D. I just like that at least it's vintage, like classic. It doesn't get into the late 70s, early 80s era of creepiness. It's got Tara Satana in there. It's pretty awesome.

I can't remember the name of the damn book now. 3D Naked Chicks. Close enough works for me but uh yeah it's all kinds of nudie porn not nudie porn it's kind of redundant right there but 3D nudes but yeah it's not like porny it's just it's fun I'm a sucker for 3D I don't even care if it's in 3D chances are I'm there. What about your old phone was it in 3D fucking yeah my old phone was in 3D what about that new fancy TV yeah you guys got my. New TV's in 3D and the blu-ray player.

You've got a problem we're working on interventions My. Only problem is not enough things that I want on 3D. Not enough 3D porn. Not enough 3D Blu-rays within a reasonable price range. Shit's expensive.

Drives me nuts. I'm done. How do you feel about the 3D home market? There's a 3D home market. Not in my house.

That stuff's expensive. Well, it all started because I won the Blu-ray player. Oh, nice. So I'm like, well, shit. I'm like, our TV is getting kind of old.

Where it gets the lines that make it look like it's widescreen, they kind of curve down on one side. I think I had to go close up the show. Seems like a problem. So I'm like, if we're going to get a new TV, fuck this. We're going to go big or go home.

Yeah. You got a damn 3D version right there. So I do. And actually, you didn't watch any of the 3D, did you? No, I watched Odd Thomas there, but that was not in 3D.

But yeah, it's... it seems like the market is they don't have enough 3D movies on Blu-ray. They just don't. And the ones they do are crazy expensive and it just makes me mad. And nobody knows how to work it exactly either. Everybody, like, shows, having seen people in a video store, yes, the last few remaining video stores on earth, they all show up with a 3D movie and they're just like, hey, I want to rent this.

And we're like, you know, that's 3D, right? And they never have a 3D player, so. Nobody knows how to work the whole thing. You gotta have the whole shebang. You can't just have one or the other.

You gotta have the damn 3D Blu-ray player. You gotta have the damn 3D TV. You gotta have a fucking special cable because you can't just hook that shit up. You gotta have a high-def cable or whatever. It's a 3D cable.

No shit, dude. And then you gotta have the fucking... Actually, our TV turns everything into 3D. It's fucking magic. Sobobbers?

Yes, Sobobbers. Infomercial Sobobbers? Yes. Wheel of Fortune. News.

All that shit in 3D. I don't even care. Mexican infomercials? Yes. C.

QVC. Svengoolie? No. Fuck that shit. Instead, you would like to endorse Dr.

Gangrene. Yes, Dr. Gangrene is awesome. Previous guest on the show, Dr. Gangrene.

While we're having our horror host showdown here. Yeah, man. It's going to be a rumble. Dr. Gang Green could take Sven Gulli any day.

I think he could. He's like 6'9 or something like that. He is freakishly tall. Like really tall. Like ungodly tall.

All right. Well, we've covered many things going on today. I guess we'll wrap up. Finish what we were supposed to. Where's that one guy's card?

Gotten to that yet, but we can do that. We need to because that guy gave me something for free and I have to be like, dude, that was awesome. It's commercial time. Alright, well first and foremost we'd like to say thank you to Days of the Dead for having us out here and letting us hang around and record here in the middle of all this craziness. So thank you to them.

They have put on a great show and they have two more coming up this year and one more at the beginning of 2015. So go to daysofthedead.net and figure out where the next shows are coming to a town near you. And now on with our bonus thank you of the episode. Here comes the plug. Dude gave me free shit.

I have to promote it. Even before today he gets a plug because if you'll notice when you go to the old Movie Meltdown website, which I'm sure you go to on a daily basis. At the very top, you'll see that film reel that's sort of melting there, designed by this guy right here, this Steve character. He, many a year ago, within the first, I don't know, handful of episodes, like I'd say eight or so, like he just got a hold of me and said, hey, I've been listening to the show. I really like it.

Oh, here, I designed this for you. Because he also happens to be like a actual graphic designer. Oh, how awesome is that? And or a poster maker or many, many, he does many things. According to this card here, he's an illustrator.

Wow. Oh, yeah. We're now looking at his fine artwork. This is his Trick or Treat poster here. Very cool.

This would be from Scream Prince. And you can find them at ScreamPrince.com. Do it. This is my Return of the Living Dead option here. Featuring Tar Man.

Yeah. Available at ScreamPrince.com. Very cool. Oh screamprince.com there we've man that's awesome as we told him we would we would plug the hell out of his whole business so go give him some money and get yourself some awesome posters fucking. A Steve Steve Jinx according to the card that I'm looking to screamprince.com he has a ooh he's got an email why would you put your email address on there I wouldn't want these people emailing me I've seen these people I know I'm one of these people I wouldn't want me emailing people.

Now you're going to email them, aren't you? No. And send them creepy viruses and weird 3D porn. I was going to say 3D porn, but you beat me to it. All right, so we got that plug in there.

To round it out with geek activities, have you seen any movies lately? I've watched a lot lately. I'm two months as of today, two months into our new relationship. We don't claim that other person. Yeah.

We don't know who she is. Yeah, well, yeah. Um friend of possum's and uh midnight pizza runs um. And the show for years longer than she probably. Wants but no uh so we've been doing like a little trade-off like i'll show her a movie and she'll show me a movie so i've seen here recently i've seen sabrina the 1954 I.

Think I've seen that one. I know I ended up watching the remake years later, but I think I've seen the original as well. Yeah, it was really sweet. It's sort of my cup of tea, but I had never gotten around to watching it, so. It was nice to watch with her.

It's a great cast. Yeah, and it's Turnabout. I showed her. It's from 2012, maybe. It's a French film called Romantics Anonymous, and it's like, It's a really sweet, like if you like the Amelie, that kind of thing.

It's two people, it's a chocolate company that's going out of business, and this girl's needing a job, and she's a chocolatier. She knows everything. She's one of the best ones on the planet at how to make it, but she's very nervous. And the guy that runs the chocolate shop is very shy. And so between the two of them, you know, it's, you know, they're trying to get together, but it's this whole.

When are you two kids just going to realize it's right there in front of you? Exactly. So it's, I mean, it's a comedy of anxiety, but it's fun. It was a lot of fun. So anyway.

So there's two. What the hell does dude do? To go with a horror movie vibe, I saw The Devil Rides Out last night, the old classic. Nice. Where Peter, not Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee actually plays a good guy.

So he's the Count de Rousseff. Yeah, it's some French. Deux coups. Deux coups, yeah. Something like that.

Exactly. Something foreign like that. But it's a Hammer film that's based on the writings of Dennis Wheatley, like 20s and 30s, kind of a pulpy horror kind of novelist. Probably best known for To the Devil a Daughter, which the movie had. Natasha Kinski in it.

And, oh, it was. Our guy who's been missing photos just showed up, and wow, I think we're done. We're good. He was relieved and yet still kind of annoyed. Yeah.

I would call it real annoyed. And I guess he's that weird name we didn't recognize. Yeah. Because he wasn't Cindy or whatever. Yeah, Magda.

I can't quite tell. He didn't look like a Victorian to me. Adams? Maybe. Tell me what you want, what you really want.

Justin, have you seen anything lately? I watched both Eddie and the Cruisers and Eddie and the Cruisers 2, Eddie Lives. Does he, in fact, live? Spoiler alert. Spoilers.

Give you a second to pause your iPod, iPhone, or Android device. He does actually live. I have a Windows phone. Oh, a Windows phone. Excuse me.

We have to have the third option now, just to be PC. Or your Amazon Fire or whatever. I have a 10-gammon string. Is that cool? Yeah.

Cut the string, tie it in a knot, whatever it is you do. He does actually live, and he goes on to create some mediocre 80s. Season in Hell 2? Yeah. Electric boogaloo?

It's Season in Hell, but not necessarily the way he probably wants it. More like The Viewer is in Hell. So, yeah, I finally knocked those off my bucket list. Had you not seen them at all? I had seen the first one.

Sorry to say, I've seen the first one. I kind of remember the second one, but it's very muddy at this point. Michael Perret yells a lot at people. That was back when he was a celebrity. I saw him turn up in a lot of C-level movies as the years went on.

And they still sort of build him like, look, we got a star. We got a star. Yeah. He ended up in some scary stuff. Yeah.

Most recently, the Albert Poon movie... That's a sequel to, what's that movie like? City of Fire? Yeah, Streets of Fire. Streets of Fire has a sequel.

Yeah, but directed by Albert Bean. Because I saw a behind-the-scenes thing. I'm like, who is this crazy person trying to do a sequel? Oh, look, there's Albert. I was just like, what is he doing now?

I haven't seen it, but he puts a lot of screen caps on Facebook. I've seen, yeah, there was like a making of documentary. Well, it was like a five minute thing of like behind the scenes of them doing it with like a lot of green screen and a lot of like, it was just like, what is he doing now? Like it was crazy. Yeah.

Yeah. So, yeah. So I knocked that, um, that one. Yeah. I would stick with the first.

If you haven't seen either of them, I'd watch the first and listen to the, yeah. Listen to the score or the soundtrack a few times. It does have some catchy tunes. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Man? Yeah.

Yes. The sequel, not so much. I haven't watched much. Last week was kind of crazy. The last couple of weeks, I think the only thing I actually made it through in its entirety was a Doc of the Dead.

It was just turned up on Netflix. Has anyone else seen it? No. Actually, it's not bad. I just kind of like that they actually did bring in a good amount because I knew even had it listed up there that they brought in freaking Scotty.

What's his name? Sean Simon Pegg there we go it listed up there he was like the first name on there was they had Simon Pegg involved I was like that's kind of cool like I've never really seen him talk about zombies so they had him but they brought in all the standers too they brought in Romero they brought in like pretty much a lot of different people along the way that have been involved in all these different zombie movies and it takes a lot for me to really be impressed with a documentary like it really has to go kind of above and beyond so it won't we're not going into your documentary hate misty it won't i don't know i don't feel like it does anything out of the ordinary but it does a really good job it just kind of giving you an overview of because it's not just zombies there's been a few that popped up lately that are like if zombies really existed it's like a 2020 version of what about zombies but this one was like zombies in film and it gives you a little backstory of like the voodoo you know roots of it And then it goes into kind of the animal world and like the weird bug scenarios that are kind of similar.

So it gets a little of that into it, but for the most part, it's mostly just zombies in film and it kind of goes through the different phases and how it changed. And it's actually pretty good. And I do like, you know, most of the talking head stuff is, is kind of interesting. So it's definitely worth watching if you're, if you're a horror fan or a zombie geek or any of the above, it's, and then to tie it in i tried to watch world war z and i wouldn't just leave so there's a lot of running around cg zombie action. To do actually yeah it's not bad just not great.

It's got its moments. The outbreak at the beginning is pretty cool. I think it does a good job of how quickly everything would fall apart. That part's pretty awesome. As it gets into it, it's got a lot of weird questionable mostly just writing as it gets into it, but they did a whole rewrite on the end anyway, so I think that's part of the problem.

Too many fingers in the pie. It's still a fun, watchable movie. Sure, yeah. Misty, have you watched anything you'd like to discuss? In particular, I did re-watch Hellraiser and Nightbreed in preparation for today.

Nice. I've watched Nightbreed last night, Hellraiser the night before. I might re-watch the second Hellraiser, maybe the third. I think I'm going to draw the line after that. Part of me.

Wants to go for the fifth. I think it's the fifth one. Is the fifth one the one that has this guy in it? Yes. I don't know that it does.

I know four is the one in space. I forget there being a Hellraiser in space. Well, it goes back and forth. It's like Medieval Times Hellraiser and Space Hellraiser all rolled up in the one. Isn't it Diego or what's her name?

No, that's Candyman. I've lost track of which is the bad spinoff. Candyman's in the bad spinoff. Hellraisers. So, yeah.

Well, actually, Candyman, just stick with the first one. And Hellraiser, I think two is where you can cap it, but It's been forever since I've seen three. Part of me is curious to watch the one with Craig Schaefer, whose name I probably... I keep wanting to call him Greg, and I don't know why. It's definitely Craig.

Or Schaefer. I know that's wrong, too. I'm not 100% on the last name pronunciation, but he is Craig. Craig. Star of That Was Then, This Is Now.

He seems so sleepy. He kind of did, but he was there. He was present. He wasn't phoning in. He signed her stuff.

He took a picture. He was nice. Yeah. Yeah. He's just not, you know, bouncing off the walls excited.

And I'm like, we watched Hellraiser. It's like, I fucking love that movie. Because, I mean, it's so hard to pick. I mean, it's kind of like a horror movie, but it's also kind of like just like a sci-fi movie. Because it's like, it's not really horror horror.

It's a weird, that's the thing. You say you hate them, but when I went back and started thinking about it, I was like, it's a weird indie movie. It was completely outside the Hollywood system. It was British made. It had a tiny budget compared to most movies.

It was kind of like that point when indie movies started crossing over and finding an audience. They could be something weird and different like stuff that Clive Barker was doing. I don't know. Why is that girl who doesn't wear pants? Why is that girl not wearing pants?

So we can see her ass? You could. She's wearing a garter belt and that's it. I mean, as that goes, I've seen many different people at these shows that I've seen their ass that I don't want to. She's hanging in there.

She's doing all right. Hanging in there while she's hanging out of there? Hanging out and hanging in there. But I still would normally recommend putting pants on. Pants are good.

But if somebody's going to bust it out for us, she's doing all right. Why are we all of a sudden like where all the cool kids are hanging out? Because it's like all of a sudden there's a lot of people here and it's making me very uncomfortable. We are pretty cool. No, we're not.

Yeah, baby. Yeah. But yeah, it's like. I'm doing devil horns right now. You guys can hear that at home, right?

Yeah. But yeah, so I mean, that was my... I watched some Clive Barker movies. I did get... What's a newer one?

The Book of Blood or something? Yeah. Has anybody seen that? Because I've got it. No, I haven't.

Yeah, I've not heard of anybody who's actually seen this movie, but I know that it exists. I'm kind of afraid to watch it. He's coming back. He started making them again. It's a couple years old.

It's not like new. Just in general. It seemed like he stopped altogether after... It's probably after Nightbreed, if I remember the story, of all the turmoil he went through over that. And then in the last 10 years or so, he started coming back around to making movies.

What else has he made recently? Wasn't he... You'll just complain about it, but wasn't he Midnight Meat Train? I thought it was definitely based on one of his. I don't know if he wants to direct anymore, but I thought he at least was story by...

I don't remember. I remember being aggravated and frustrated. Maybe I need to watch that movie again. I need to watch it again too. It's been a while.

Alright, we've covered our geek activities. We're about to wrap up here. Is there any parting words you'd like to tell people? Wear pants. Wear pants in public.

Watch 3D porn. Get loaded up on your 3D porn. Doug Bradley is awesome. I would give him hugs. I wasn't afraid he would kill me.

I want to make Tara Reid a sandwich and make sure she eats it. Yeah, we were threatening to go park it right there on the table and just be like, look, this is for you. Make use of it. Why do these people keep staring at us? Because we're superstars.

Yeah, we've got a table and microphones. We're important. I would also pass along to go to screenprints.com and go see Steve. Because he has awesome things. He's not even paying us for this.

We just like him. So, you know, we're giving him free plugs. He's cool. Any parting words from you guys? In my head the whole day, I've been randomly trying to figure out if there are more curly mustaches present or mohawks.

And I'm thinking the mohawks are leading the way as a guy. There's an Elvis. Is there? Wow. And Elvis just walked by.

And that's like cool Elvis, too. That's like full on. We should have grabbed him. I could have talked to him. Chase him down.

Hey, brother. I got a picture with him before. Oh, really? A long time ago. As an Elvis nut.

Yeah, that's really a cool outfit. So. Yeah, anyway. Justin, did you have anything you wanted to say? No, I'm good.

Alright, he's good. I got to hear Corey Feldman talk today, so it's good. So yeah, it's a win all the way around. Can you do your impression of what Corey Feldman sounded like? An impression of...

I don't know if I can even... I'm not enough of an angel to even capture that essence of what he was. Lots of hands gestures and lots of I'm just joking. Comments. Just joking.

Said that a lot, yeah. Wow. I hate you all. I'm just joking. He loved everybody.

He said he loved everybody. He thanked the fans. That's good. Yeah. Yeah.

Hand gestures. That usually comes with all that crack, you know. Anyway. At least he didn't have the e-cigarette and the weird anime bang. Yeah, his weird anime bang creeped us out last time we saw him.

Did you touch it? He says he paid for a photo with that anime bang, and he's thrilled. I do think I know my new favorite stripper name, though. Anime Bang. That's more of a porn name.

Stripper Bang, I don't know. You gotta have a different sort of swing to the stripper name. Swing? Anime Swing, now that's a stripper name. Anime Sparkles.

Anime Sparkles. I suppose so. That's like a classic one. Yeah. Someone you'd see in your 3D porn, Meg.

Hell yeah. I think we better get out of here. The crowds are starting to pile up around us. We're superstars here at our table. I think we better pack it in before the crowd gets out of control.

I need to go eat. That too. Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week. Same geek time, same geek feed.

Thanks for listening. Bye. Thanks. My tape is going. Dissing it While I stay calm And pray the niggas leave me be But they squeezing parts of my date's.
