Hey, this is Sal Sparks from the Magnum Opus, Dude, Where's My Car? And you're listening to Movie Meltdown. It's showtime. This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right, this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced with profanity even more than usual.
If you're not comfortable with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode for you. But we have many other episodes to choose from that do not feature Misty and will probably be far less offensive. Okay, maybe. Maybe. That having been said on with the show our.
Nuclear reactor pumping out 1 million kilowatts. Of power. May the wind always be at your back and the sun upon your face. And may the winds of destiny carry you aloft to dance with the stars. Cheers, Georgie.
What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian. I'm Misty. I'm Ken. I'm Christian.
And we are coming to you live via digital recording from Fandom Fest here in somewhat partly cloudy Louisville. I just saw a biplane go by. I saw it too. Cool. I will vouch for your plane sighting.
It's the Red Baron. There's Snoopy on it. Dude, I am hungry. I ain't even gonna lie. We are sitting right up here at the window out by the street and looking up at the buildings here.
And we're also sitting at a haunted table. Table's jacked. Woo, it's haunted. The home table's levitating like we're at some sort of seance or something. Seriously, there's like one screw holding this thing up and it's bent.
I don't get it. How can you serve people and know that this is happening? I don't even know how it's doing. That's it. Game of skill and chance.
Alright, so we're doing our rundown of Fandom Fest and our other geek activities. So do you want to start with the event here? How has your weekend been, Misty? I'm tired. I got to see Carl Urban's belly button.
That's probably the highlight of the entire weekend. And your leg? I don't know. It was kind of furry. And you know how I feel about body hair.
It kind of creeps me out. You want to shave him down? Maybe wax. That would be a little bit more fun, I think. For you?
Yeah. Yeah. Pull that shit off there. Good times. Damn it, Misty.
Fucking A. Too hot to handle. If no one's following you on Facebook, I guess you should clue them in as to your photo op. I got Carl Urban's autograph, which I was super excited about, so I wanted him to say, Damn it, Misty! And he seemed confused by how to spell damn it.
He's very special, that Carl Urban. He paused after the M. I couldn't tell if he was trying to debate on what was damn it, like two words, or like damn it, one word, D-A-M-M-I-T. It seemed like a whim, which more thought into it. He just had to stop, and there was a good 10-second pause of, holy shit, what do I do now?
You're in headlines. He totally stopped. And then I guess he finally solved the problem in his head and he finished writing it. And I was like, yeah, that's all I got. And then he's like, I thought, I want to write some more.
And he wrote, too hot to handle on it. Okay. I'm not going to argue. But two, the first two should have been two O's. And it was 1-0.
And I was like, damn it, Carl. And then. I've been doing that all weekend. Damn it, Carl. Carl.
I finally got caught up on The Walking Dead because I am like way on the cutting edge of all entertainment because that was like months ago. And I just finally got caught up. Almost time for the new season. I know. Perfect timing.
I know, right? So it's like, Carl. It's like, Carl. Carl. You gotta sound more grizzled.
Carl! You gotta sound more immeasurable. That isn't words. You gotta sound like somebody's jabbing a stick into your side. Carl!
He's got a rough time. What's his face? Rick. There you go. Rick's having a rough life.
Cut him some slack, man. Can't cut him too much slack. His wife would have a fantastic ass. In the real world. On the show, I didn't notice so much, but when we were here for another event recently.
We noticed... Anyway, go ahead. That ass is like... It's good. I'm not even gonna lie.
I took a picture. I took pictures of it. I posted it online. I ain't... I did.
I need to look that up. I do her by name again so she gets full credit for that ass. Lori? What's her real name? Does it matter?
Lori? That's all I know. Hold on. Sarah Wayne Cayley's. Pulled that out of my ass.
Didn't see that coming, did you? You.... I'm trying to make an ass tie in here, but I don't think I want to, really. It's for the best that you don't. But, yes, I got to see Carl Urban's belly button because he yawned, and I wanted to poke it, but I was too far away, and I kind of wondered if he would make the sound of the Pillsbury Doughboy.
But then I'm like, he's from New Zealand. Do they have a Pillsbury Doughboy in New Zealand? I would think. They're pretty widespread. Somebody, if not, start shipping that stuff over there.
That stuff's good. I mean, I would assume they would have some equivalent of it, you know. I don't know what they have in New Zealand. Koala dough boy. That would be awesome.
G'day. G'day. Make some biscuits. Since Carl Urban's from New Zealand, I bet if you just went up to him and koala'd him, climbed on him like a koala, he'd probably feel at home. He felt kind of petite.
I might crush him if I did that. Maybe he could koala you. That would be awesome. I would be down with that. I would be totally okay with that happening.
Anytime. Ever. Koala for the weekend. I would adopt Carl Urban is my koala. Because that is an option.
Can we start a service for that? Because I would pay good money. Talk to LeVar Burton and get a Kickstarter fund going for that. That would be amazing. Because he's really good at raising money.
Where's our Kickstarter, LeVar? I don't know. Get that barrette off your eyes and start working for us here, damn it. Yeah, I tried to talk to him a little bit, but he was just all about the fist bumping for Ebola. Lord, I guess we better go into that because we've turned it into a different thing.
I mean, I think it's like a new charity I'm starting, fist bumping for Ebola. And like, we really need to get this Ebola thing going. I mean, it's taken too long. We got to get our funding behind it so we can really start wiping out huge parts of humanity. I think a lot of people I could probably get rid of and be okay with.
That guy from Creed, Nickelback. The entire band. How come they're still around? We lose good musicians, but we've got those guys still hanging in there. How the fuck did the guy from Nickelback afford to buy fucking Avril Lavigne?
Fucking jack up to Avril Lavigne. Avril Lavigne. That's her new name. That's where I shop for clothes. Avril Lavigne.
Order a 17-carat diamond ring. Was it 17 or 7? 17. 17? It was this big.
Where did he get that? Exactly. Why are you questioning that? Do you not know the amount of sales that that band has? Americans and the world over are dumb when it comes to music because they have made billions of dollars, I'm sure, for somebody.
Everybody hates them, though. I mean, I don't... Okay, never mind. They do, but then look at the sales for it. I mean, isn't that usually how that stuff works?
Like, everybody hates the most popular thing, so there's a big loophole there. I never understand how that works. Wait, so the guy from Nickel Creek is marrying... Nickelback. Sorry, Nickelback. is marrying Advil Levine.
This is their one-year anniversary. Advil Levine? Advil Levine. They've been married for a year. That was her one-year anniversary present.
Chad Kroger. Ah, Kroger. I'm sorry. I was going to make a Kroger reference. Making fun of Chad is just too easy, really.
He's a Chad. Hanging Chad. I really had no idea that that was a thing. Yeah, it does seem like a super suck. An odd match.
Yeah. I don't know. I'll form the head, you know? It's like, Canada's worst nightmare. Now our worst nightmare, in my opinion.
That was Dave Coulier. I thought Justin Bieber was. Well, you could add him as an arm or a leg or an ass. He's an ass already. He's an ass.
And then, you know, you get like, you know, Bryan Adams and. Alanis Morissette. Yeah, yeah. Art Alanis is okay. Ryan Adams, I musically had no problem with him back in the day, and then every interview I've seen or read of him, he seems like such a douchebag.
Yeah, pretentious, yeah. I'm pretentious. Oh, yeah, we know. It's okay. I don't even care.
Damn it, Missy. I know, right? Damn it, Carl. Carl? We're at the convention, so it's like Carl from Walking Dead is at the other end of the room, so I'm like, if I stand in the middle and yell, damn it, Carl, really loud, which one will look first?
That's a good game. I would say the kid probably ignores everyone saying it now because he gets it so much. I don't know. If I yell it at a loud enough volume, I might catch him off guard. We're used to the low, mumbling, damn it, Carl.
If I get like a high decibel, maybe like a high-pitched squeal, damn it, Carl. I'm not even going to do it in here. I would probably break something. But like a damn it, Carl, like really loud and just, yeah. He's Chandler, right?
Yes, Chandler Riggs. Does he get damn it, Chandlers? That doesn't really work the same, does it? I think Chandler is the guy from Friends. I wonder if he's named after the guy from Friends.
I just not thought about that. He's young enough. He is. I bet his mother was really mean to him and named him after Chandler Bing. He was almost Chandler Bong.
Oh, my God. Chandler Bing. Chandler Bong. Exactly. So, what else have we done today?
I got my picture taken with several fake Lokis. That was pretty exciting. That is one of your favorite pastimes. It is. I love getting my picture taken with fake Lokis.
Even cardboard ones, I don't even care. It's true. I have seen those shots. Yeah. Whatever Loki I can get, I'm all up on it.
Now that I think about it, I've taken some of those shots. Hell yeah. Shit. I love me some Loki. One-dimensional, two-dimensional, I don't even care.
Four-dimensional. Four-dimensional. Is he ever going to get his own Loki spinoff movie? I hope so. I've heard rumor at some point that there was supposed to be one, and I would watch the hell out of that movie.
I'm not even going to lie. The Marvel Universe is out of control. They could probably support it at this point. Hell yeah. I mean, especially for Loki.
The fangirls go nuts over that shit. They do. I don't know where it came from. Who do you think has a better belly button, Carl Urban or Loki? Loki.
Tom Hiddleston. I was going to say, the character Loki or Tom Hiddleston. No, I don't know. I don't think Tom Hiddleston is quite as furry. I was going to say, he's probably not as furry.
He seems very British and proper. It's an emo belly button. It's got like a frown. If I put Michael Fassbender in there, I could go for that one, too. He's a little furry.
Not quite as much. I don't think he's very furry. You guys are going to have to check. I'll leave that up to you. I will be the first volunteer to volunteer for that, or I'll volunteer.
I'm sticking with the... hoochie shorts that was just walking by. I've still got to go see if she can get them any higher. They were hoochie mom jeans because they were like I didn't even see the bottom of the pants. Were they like under her shirt? Like under her boobs?
I don't know. Where did the pants end? That's the hot way to do it. I don't even know. Yeah, there were several Lokis which I was super duper excited about.
Yeah. I bought a Groot. You were very excited about your Groot. I love Groot. Hello.
It's so cute. Oh, my God. Without spoiling, I guess you can go into your, go a very minor version of your Guardians of the Galaxy. And this is how it ended. Son of a bitch.
What did I just say? The soundtrack was fucking awesome, right? Yes. Groot, the best acting that Vin Diesel has done. since the iron robot or iron giant I fucked that. One up my bad since the last time I didn't have to look at.
It exactly absolutely hell yeah rocket you can't go wrong with a foul talking raccoon you just. Can't isn't there one that hangs out behind your house I wish, dude. He wouldn't even have to hang out in the back. I'd let him in. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time you let a woodland creature live in your house.
It would not be the first time or the last, hopefully. Dude. I want to just snatch baby raccoons whenever I see them out in the wilderness. I'm like, I could get that before its mom would come back. You be careful.
You bring them in your house. They got thumbs. They're going to take over. They can open shit for me then. I don't even care.
And be like, you get dogs, we'll go get you a can of fucking soda. Fucking raccoons are going to open it for me. Raccoon butler? That's the best card. That would be awesome.
I just want my dogs to do more housework. Like, look, you've been laying here all day. Do some dishes for God's sakes. Because your savage beast was no manners. There's a claw mark right there from this morning.
Exactly. Vicious little fuckers that have no moral standing. They have to protect the compound, damn it. Or not. That's why I have these wild animals, to protect the meltdown compound.
And to attack possums? Oh, Lord, they tear up on some possums. And that wombat they were fighting that I pulled them off of. Pretty sure that's what it was. It's a groundhog.
It was as big as they were. No, it was bigger than Carl. Probably weighed more. I'm telling you, I could have picked him up and carried him around. Just barely.
I could have piggybacked him all through the entire place. Why didn't you? I should have. Koala. Some sort of Twilight reboot.
I want to give him a piggyback ride. That's my new thing. Koala's like five minutes ago. Keep up. Let me show you how we do this here.
Hop on. I'll give you a ride. I mean, it would be an insult to the entire city if you didn't do this, so climb on. This is a serious piggyback ride. You know what he said in The Walking Dead?
Come on. When Daryl gave Beth a piggyback ride. Oh, this is a serious piggyback ride. Come on. I'd give Beth a piggyback ride.
I kept waiting for them to do it. They never did. Again, spoilers if you didn't finish it like Misty did like two weeks ago. Yeah, every episode I'd be like, all right. So, I mean, this chick locked up by herself with what most of the country considers to be the hottest dude ever, if you're into weird redneck dudes.
But anyway. I know, but still, like, look at the fangirls. It's crazy. So I'm like, every. I just want to cut his hair.
Trim that shit up a little bit. I'm just saying, every week, for like three or four weeks straight, they'd get into some weird situation. I'm like, okay, they're by themselves. It's the two of them. She's going to have to hit that now, right?
I kept waiting for it. It never happens. Every week, I'm just like, what are you doing? Why are you just teasing us? Just get it over with.
Do it already. Then they started drinking. I'm like, oh, they're drinking. It's going to happen now. That's what I thought.
I thought that episode was definite. They're definitely going to have to round this thing out. I'm like, how old is she? After a while, I felt kind of bad. How old is she?
She plays the character really, really young. I'm like, should I feel bad about waiting for them to do it? I don't. I guess everybody knew that. I'm like, is she, like, 12?
Ain't nothing wrong with. Oh, wait. Yeah, there is. Damn it. I know.
States and their laws. Stupid laws. Yeah, but post-apocalyptic, like. There ain't. No laws there.
There ain't no laws. Ain't no laws. But in the real world, she's at least 25. Like, she's an old lady in the real world, so it's all cool. I guess.
Are they trying to, like, build it up so that Daryl has some kind of, like, morals about younger girls or something? Because I figure he'd be all... I mean, seriously, his brother would have done that shit a long time ago, whether she agreed to it or not. I mean, Merle is not. Merle's not the highest caliber of character.
Apparently he's not the gentleman that Daryl is with his ear necklace and squirrel eating. He's a classy guy. He is. I see why the world's just falling for him. He's dreamy, isn't he?
I guess so. I wonder what his belly button's like. Dirty. Dirty. Chances are I can look it up on the internet and find out.
I don't know if I can look up Norman Reedus belly button and what it will bring me. Live on the show. Here we go. I'm a little scared, but also intrigued. It's not the creepiest thing I've looked up.
Not the creepiest thing I've heard this weekend. Yesterday I heard the comment of some girl looking at her phone trying to motion to somebody else. Now, I'm not saying I want to put my mouth on it or anything. I like where this is going. I just kind of want to hear the end.
I mean, because I could go several ways with what she was describing. I want to know what she was on the phone. What she exactly does not want to put her mouth on. Let's make a list, shall we? Hold on.
B-U-T-T-O-N. Yeah, put that O-N on there. That's not normal. That's a kid. What the fuck's going on here?
Ugh, why is. Ugh! Loss, loss, loss. Close it. I don't like that the seventh thing that shows up is very pregnant and seemingly naked Mariah Carey.
I'm okay with the first two. Then you got to Mariah Carey. Oh, my. Not naked pregnant chicks. That's awesome.
What the hell is that? Not Norman Reedus' belly button. No, it ain't. I like that we have a new game. We should play this every episode.
Google something random. Some people skiing? I don't understand. And this is the new game of, okay, what do we have to type in to find Norman Reedus' belly button? Are you playing that game, too?
No. John Stamos came up, apparently. John Stamos' belly button is the fifth thing that came up. He's a very studly John Stamos. He is.
That's, like, young. It's that yogurt, I suppose. Uh-huh. Let's see. Shirtless.
That might give us something. I bet that'll give you something. Oh, thank you, internet. Oh, let's see. We got various...
Short hair or long hair Norman Reedus? Let's go with long hair. Okay. He's got a gun. With or without a gun.
There you go. Norman Reedus' belly button. Not very hairy, but a little bit lumpy. I'm not really sure I approve of this one. Your faces probably aren't transferring over to the podcast, so feel free to verbalize.
Yeah, he's just lumpy. I don't quite understand all those lumps. It's not even like. He's younger, I'm assuming. That's not any better.
I don't know if that's younger or not. He looks a little... He looks like he has a little bit more weight on him in that one. It gives me hope, I suppose. He doesn't look as lumpy.
Here's a reclining... Oh, the belly button's covered. Sorry. Even lumpy dudes can become sex symbols. Sleepy sexy.
Hell yeah. I'm so sexy and so sleepy. Oh, this one's cute. Hold on. Oh, he's...
He's got a tiara. Isn't that the most precious thing ever? That is fresh, and he's not lumpy, and he's young. What happened, Daryl Dixon? That's nice.
Apocalypse hurts, man. Apocalypse hurts. Not only eating, obviously. Hadn't put a dent in that. He is wearing a tear in this photo.
And it's artsy black and white, so that's nice. Oh, good lord. This is what the rest of the podcast is going to be, you know that, right? Misty looking at shit on the internet. Oh, this constant refresh where they say it's the death of us, baby.
But I like what you do and the way that you change on the daily. When I walk down the street, only strangers I meet. But I can shake loneliness in just a tweet. Internet, I don't want to lose you. Oh, Internet.
If you were a Pokemon, I'd choose you. Oh, Internet. I sing to you pretty much constantly. Convention girls know how to take care of a man in the most unconventional ways. I'm Susie.
I'm obsessed with my toys of joy. I'm Gloria. Once is never enough. I'm in. I would do anything in a bathtub.
Convention girls love it. So will you. Rated R. Plus special second feature, Naked Rider. She entered young and innocent, but came out the naked rider.
Rated R. Hey, Miss, do you have your earbuds strapped in? I do not. Well, that's probably because you didn't go to tweakedaudio.com and get your tweaked audio earbuds because they're awesome. I don't like things in my ears.
You're the worst pitch person ever. I am. I have mine. They're awesome. They're the wood ones.
They're deluxe. Look at this shit. That's hardwood. That's pretty fancy. I guess if I were to shove any implement in my ear, it would be those.
We don't recommend you shove anything else in your ear. That's kind of why we were hooked up with Tweaked Audio. It's the only thing we recommend you shove in your ear for medical purposes, really. If you damage your eardrum, you're doing it wrong, and we take no responsibility. Stop when you hit pressure.
You should only use Tweaked Audio. And when you do, you go to their website. You go to pay for it. You put in your code MELTDOWN. You'll get a discount and free shipping.
It's awesome. Is it better than 5% discount? Not that 5% discount that you were looking at in that catalog. No, the discount you will be getting from Tweaked Audio will be a hell of a lot better than the 5%. It's a third off.
You get a third off. A third, holy shit. If I had math, that would be awesome. And free shipping. Fucking A.
You can't beat that. And they're super fast. Not with a stick. I just went and got me some more, and it was like a day, and they were there. They were like lightning fast.
Like the lightning on that girl's boobs over there. Lightning move fast. Lightning move fast. Lightning move fast. You're welcome, Tweaked Audio.
You can put that on your envelopes. And you're welcome. Faster than a geek size to lightning boobs. You're welcome. They're not going to like me promoting their item, are they?
Actually, they have a pretty good sense of humor. Tweaked Audio is kind of awesome. Just go to tweakedaudio.com. When you check out, enter the discount code MELTDOWN. Then you'll get 33% off and free shipping.
Tweaked Audio. Sounds better. Love that's true. Oh, internet, I fake it with your face. Later tonight, Let's meet inside the space.
Oh, but I can't get by unless there is Wi-Fi. Is this a drug that I need? There is no other way. I am at home all day, so let my torrents concede. You just don't get it, cause you're not on Reddit.
And if you. Want me to go out, just make sure that there's internet. So you guys. Have been here all weekend? I was here yesterday.
That's when I got most of my Loki in, I guess. But I didn't see any Lokis today. I was very disappointed. I'm just really impressed with this after previous experiences. At conventions that...
Other nameless conventions that we've been to many, many times. This one last year. This one did have some issues last year, but they've been working on it, obviously. They have their stuff together this time. I was all set to put the armor on and go forth.
Was it Iron Man armor? Yeah, well, internal. Do you have the blue light? Because that's the important thing. Yeah, that's right.
I did see a guy walking around with one of those. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, I just was really surprised at professional and courteous and informative, which, yeah. You don't always get that everywhere you go. No, you know, so.
All the pictures of Carl Urban that I've found, he appears to be hairless. I'm very confused. Perhaps he's part seal. Maybe. Or maybe he just hasn't waxed for a while.
I mean, that is, I saw, there's... God, I don't know how to even describe that photo. Pass it off. No, what the... Hercules or Xena?
Oh, yeah, it is. It's one of the two. He's Cupid. He has wings. And, well, a hairless belly button.
I mean, we got what we were looking for. But yet in the picture of me and him, you can see a definite pear chest. Unless he grew... It's no wigs. I was going to say, do they make Chess Merkins?
Yeah. I can't even. Type that into Google. Chess Merkin. It sounds like some action hero.
I think that's my band name now. I feel like I have typed something like that in. Doesn't surprise me. Chess Merkin. I'm wondering if he at some point shaved or waxed.
Because, I mean, there's obviously hair removal been done at some point. And it's driving me nuts. Who can solve this case? Only one man. Only one man with no chest hair who wears a fake chest merkin's private eye.
Right after Baywatch. I think we need to get this Kickstarter going. I think we could fund this thing. Fist bumps for Ebola. I'm seeing like Brian Bosworth, like an old Brian Bosworth.
Like a fake haircut. I don't know if I'm backing this Kickstarter. Let's see. Can we. Lots of hood slides and a lot of AARP commercials.
Can we cast CM Punk? Please. I figured that would bring you around. I just heard him on something. Is it official he's retired now?
There's a little drama. Or is it in the way The Rock retired? He'll be back later. I don't know. I don't know what kind of hold the.
The Vince. Enterprise has on him, but yeah, the Vince, yes. But yeah, I know that there was some drama and backstory going on there. I totally missed what's going on. I was too busy looking at shirtless pictures of Karl Urban.
The last I heard was CM Punk. CM Punk. He's got a quite delightful belly button. Not really hairy. There's tattoos going on in that general vicinity.
He does have one or two, though. Yeah. Does he have any tramp stamps? He does not. He does not.
He doesn't work on that. He's going to get this job. He's got one of those like stomach tattoos that like kind of arches over his stomach. It has words. It has words.
I can't remember what it says. No, that's on his knuckles. Yeah. Rolex. Seriously.
Sugar Ray reference. I mean, like you're going to get a tattoo and you're going to put Rolex, you know. Maybe they paid him money for it. Maybe it's like, what was that, Golden Casino or whatever that was back in the day. They would pay for a lot of that stuff.
Yeah, they would go and get their, Golden Palace maybe. Golden Palace. I won't plug them, but you know what the website is. Ridiculous. CM Punk doesn't need a fake chest hair.
Thing. I'm just trying to get the guys to work. He does stay pretty hairless. That's for the best. Yeah, it is.
It is. It's You know, I mean, Yeti hairy. That's that's a little much. But, you know, a little hair is OK. You know, my boyfriend's Asian.
So, yeah, you don't have to worry about that. It's not very hairy. Not to play into the stereotypes, but whatever, dude. It seems to be true from what I hear. Yeah.
How's his driving? No. He is convinced he's the best driver ever, because I've seen him in action. I'm pretty sure I'm going to die most of the time. Not that he's a bad driver, but he drives like he's playing.
A video game. Yep. I've been in the backseat during these festivals. It's crazy. Left, right, left, right, up, down, up, down.
No. Run over a hooker, run over a hooker. Wait, we're playing a different game now. Okay, never mind. There is usually techno music involved.
Awesome. It's like fucking, what's a good, I can't even think of any fucking video game car driving. I got the main reference and then I just kind of drifted off after that. I'm sorry. It's all Grand Theft Auto to me.
Yeah. Unless you can run over people and hook up with hookers in the alleyway. That's how you get money. There was somebody running down the street, and they passed balloons at the same time, and I thought they were running with balloons, and I'm like, that's the best way to run. Then they weren't running with balloons, and then I was sad.
Anyway. That's what we get by sitting by a window. Anything else about the convention? Oh, yeah. It's awesome.
Very well put together this time. This year, it was very well put together. I mean, I'm pretty sure even the people who put it together knew they had some problems last year. Yeah, I think he had to come to terms with that last year. I'm assuming it's all in one building now because we didn't venture anywhere else.
Yeah. There's some after-hour stuff at the hotel, but yeah. I think everything's been contained here throughout the day. I know that if they don't get your pictures printed out in time, and if you have a big enough fit, they will offer to hold them over for you at the Galt House at midnight. I'm pretty sure they were going to have some throwdowns last night because while waiting for our photos to be printed out, people were having full-blown fucking meltdowns.
They were just losing their shit. And taking all their shit out on people that had nothing. It wasn't their fault. Like the volunteers who ran the little photo. I'm like, it's not this random volunteer number four can't print your picture out any faster.
They are volunteering here. They can't help. Getting pissed off at them and causing a big deal isn't going to get your picture printed out any faster. You know, to the point where the lady, I don't know who it was, the lady who was from the actual festival, she was like, you can't stay here. The police are going to remove you.
Man. Well, as a person who has previously lost his shit over waiting six hours for a photo at this particular convention two years ago? Three years ago? Three years ago. At least three.
Yeah. I snapped a few heads and it didn't serve anything. It made me feel better on the way home at midnight. When we were supposed to get home, like, at 3 o'clock. My picture was taken by, it was done, or the photo was taken by 2.20.
I got my picture at 7.30. Yeah, that's about right. Because, you know, it's, you know, you got to, you have the daguerreotype, and you have to, like, carve it out of tin. I figured there was chimps back there with, like, pencils. That would be better.
Sometimes they get sidetracked because they're writing Shakespeare as well. Apparently so, but yeah, I'm like. Multitasking? Is there like one printer back there? Yeah, you know, okay, so that's interesting that that's still an issue.
I mean, there's a lot of pictures going through here. It's one of those, like, I understand, but it's one, like, again, it's not even them. Like, it's not even their company. Like, you hired this stuff out. I mean, you just find whoever's doing it for probably all the conventions now.
But it's like, at this point, for not even them, for all these conventions, it's like, by now... They've been doing it for enough years. You'd think they'd have the system down. They just know how to structure things, what they need equipment-wise and printer-wise, and when to tell people to come back. It just seems like it needs to be focused and set up.
From there, I would think it would all run itself okay, but I don't know. Don't promise somebody it's going to be done in one to two hours. Yeah, that you can't do. There were a lot of contradictions. On the website, it says, Two to four hours, but no, it doesn't.
I don't know if they went through and changed it later. It does now. Website editing, yeah. The beauty of the website. Again, people get so bent out of shape, but if you can just get it eventually, I guess you need to look at it your whole way home or something.
I don't know, but as long as they can get it to you, mail it to you, get it by the end of the weekend, if you're here, as long as they get it to you, Whatever, you know. I don't know why. Even if they offered you like a digital option where they could just send it email or something? Well, because there was this lady who I started to refer to as the angry watermelon. Was there a reason for this name?
She liked watermelons? She was huge and she was like in green with pink accents. So she became the angry watermelon. I was really hoping that was the reason. She had like an entire green outfit, like head to toe.
It was like a pale green, and then her shirt had some pink, and so she was getting her watermelon. Every few seconds, she was spitting out a seed. Dude, I wouldn't have doubted it. She was so fucking mad. She was like, I wonder, we bought our tickets, and it was agreed as a contract, and it was the promise that that would be done.
Everybody's a lawyer. I shall decree that before the end of the night. I'm making sure she's not lurking behind me somewhere. Oh, I want a watermelon! There's like a zoom shot or whatever, you know.
Dun, dun, dun. She's standing in the hallway. You talking about me? Seeds popping out of her. Suddenly it becomes anime.
You see Watermelon Woman flying through the air. Angry Watermelon ended up storming off before she got her pictures. And then they brought out one more, like, handful, and mine was, like, the very last one in the stack. And I did a little happy dance, and then I left. And you laughed at the water all along.
And then I had boyfriend edit my photo because I looked ridiculously fat. And I had, like, eight chins. I'm telling you, that needs to be the option from here on out. It's like, if you're going to pay, like, $ 60 for these photo ops, they should also give you the option to Photoshop yourself a little bit. Or at least take, like, a couple photos to get the best option, you know?
Yeah, yeah. That's only going to slow it down, like, three days. I know. Or think of, like, as you walk out the door, like, have, like, a digital, like, all right, okay, here's your picture. Which one do you want?
You know? They can do it at the amusement park. Like, when you're walking out, you can see yourself on the roller coaster. Like, can't we just walk by and be like, dink, this one in the middle. They need to have, like, a row of just those old photo booths.
And just have the celebrity. Just sitting there. And then you just walk in and go, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, for four pictures. And walk right out. I'd be on.
Board with this, actually. This sounds good. I'd prefer this. It was actually a good, high-quality photo. I've seen some shitty ones before.
I've seen some where it's on fucking photo, like paper, paper, paper. You know? Like, you paid money for that? No. I've seen those when people have signed, too.
I always hate when they try to pull that off. Yeah, I was very upset. I could bring up the whole Noah Hathaway ordeal. I was. I was very upset.
What? I was going to cry. Because the one picture I wanted, all they had were the photocopies. And there was like one actual glossy in there. What's up, y'all?
How's it going? You like podcasts? That never works, by the way. Hey, girl. You like podcasts?
Never works. I had somebody actually approach me wanting to ask me a question about the podcast. I was like, what? Words. You're not really our spokesperson.
I am not. I am like the most least spokesperson-y person of all people. If you see us at an event and want details, Misty's probably not your go-to girl. Unless you want to talk about somebody's belly button. Or how much I hate somebody and want to punch them in the face.
Then I'm your go-to girl. That's true. I was just talking show related. You're like, um, I don't know. We do something.
I don't know. Yeah, there's a show and I think you can download it on the interwebs. I think. You can watch it. If you're Ken Foray.
If you're Ken Foray, you can watch it. Make sure you. Watch Movie Meltdown. This is Ken Foray. It's one of the best internet video shows.
That you could ever, ever watch. Movie Meltdown. Ken Foray talking, baby. Go Grizzly, bitch. I like Indiana better than Kentucky.
Same. Yeah, but you have the KKK cleaning service. No, but we wear shoes. Do you? Because I've been to Indiana, you know.
I'm wearing shoes right now. It's because you're on our turf here. Louisville's a different state. We make you wear shoes. I guess.
I have seen very many shoeless people today. I was in Owensboro yesterday. Nice. They were all wearing shoes, but. Was there any socks and sandals involved?
I don't know. I wasn't really focusing. I try to avoid people's feet, especially weird people. I look at everybody I can judge. I'm a horrible person.
We know. I know, I know, I know. But I'm equally as harsh on myself. That's true. You usually are.
I did. I went home and cried because of how bad my picture with Carl Irwin looked. I had so many chins. It was so bad. I'm like, I'm so disgusting.
Boyfriend, fix it. He's like, damn it. Misty. Exactly. And I cried some more because he used his angry voice.
He didn't use his angry voice. He knows better. He does. I have plenty of knives and guns and I know where he sleeps Christian looks very uncomfortable right now or tired I'm tired what was your favorite part of the day of the convention extravaganza. Fist bumping LeVar Burton yeah.
How was your LeVar Burton run in would. You like to share it was actually pretty pleasant I was originally supposed to get a photo op with him That was one of my birthday gifts from Ken. And so we went to. Find out information about the photo op and there was like some kind of miscommunication or scheduling issue or something so I wasn't able to get it and so we started to kind of get a little huffy and it was just like well we'll see what they can work out and she said that there were no refunds but Then they figured out since he had canceled, then they gave us a refund. And then I went and got his autograph.
So it. Was pretty cool. What is it missing? What is it missing? Yeah, my photo does not have his hair barrette slash visor.
Slash banana clip. Right, banana clip. You can paste that shit on later. Yeah, I think I will. I think I'll edit it out.
A real banana clip. Just pink. Make that shit 3D. Amazing. No, this is a first contact photo that I selected.
Fancy blue eyes. Yeah, I wasn't really that thrilled with... I mean, he looks great in all the pictures, but... According to him. According to him.
So, yeah, because I was like, okay, he doesn't have the visor on in any of the pictures except one, which... Like, was the whole, like, cast in Renaissance times or something? Minstrel LaForge. Minstrel LaForge. Dude, there's a taco truck.
I'm so fucking hungry. They were parked, yeah, they were parked right there. I thought about it. I'm really hungry, too. But anyway, so I asked him which was his favorite one.
He was like, well, I'm partial to all of them. He was like, I like. I'm not fucking helping LeVar Burton. I like all the ones I'm in. Oh, okay.
You came to the right table. So, yeah, I was a little... When I walked up, I was like really excited. And I went to shake his hand and he was not having it. He was just doing the fist bumps.
And he blatantly refused the handshake. No, he just held up the fist. He didn't even like open his hand. And I was like, yeah. And so he just wanted.
To punch you. Well, no, he probably honestly. A lot of people. Yeah. Well, you know, I'll knock that look off your face, but.
Um, just a really slow motion. Yeah. Like you're just running to my face with your face. I'm going to reenact the matrix. Stand still.
So, yeah, he fist-bumped, and then I was like, oh, oh, okay, yeah, you do the fist-bump. I was like, okay, germs, yeah. Did he make it explode? No, he didn't. He didn't, which was kind of disappointing.
But, yeah, he was like, Ken said something to him about the fist-bump because I was like, oh, you don't do the handshake. I was like, germs. He was like, yeah, he said Ebola. He said Ebola is part of our world now. And Ken was like, yeah, it's in the States.
They brought it here. And he was like, yeah, he said, it is. He said, I thought they had it under control, but it is, it is a very well part of our world now. And so we have to be careful. Exactly.
So fist bumps for Ebola. It's a Kickstarter. Go check it out. Or just send me your money directly. I'll totally put it towards that.
Or something. Or whatever. Spreading the infection that is movie meltdown. It is quite inflexious. Somebody actually asked me, because I guess when you were talking to the great George Wendt, I don't know why whenever I refer to George Wendt, it's going to be the great George Wendt.
And I'm not even sure why. Why is that? Do you know why that is? Because he's great. I don't know.
The great. The great George Wendt. I don't know. Maybe it's something I picked up from somebody else. Great Waldo Pepper?
I have no idea. Anyways, while you were talking to George Wendt, like somebody wandered up and was like, Are you with them? I'm like, I guess. He's like, is it going to be available to listen to? I'm like, yeah, you can download it on the internet.
Where would you find that, Misty? At moviemeltdown.com or on iTunes. I'm really surprised you got both those right. And one's pretty easy to find, but I'm surprised you even got the website right. Hell yeah, I did.
It is. Com, right? Not like. Org or something?. dork. Yes.
Dork. That seems more fitting. Moviemeltdown.dork. Just Google it. You'll find it.
Is it not. com? It is. Oh my god, I thought I got that wrong thing. He's going to be downloading porn or something. He's going to do that anyway, but in between watching his porns, he can listen to an awesome episode of Movie Melting.
He's carrying a unicorn backpack, I think. I was going to say, which kind of porn? What did you say? A unicorn what? Backpack?
I could have sworn you said butt plug, but you said it way too casually. That's a different festival. No, that is how I normally refer to you as butt plugs. They aren't that casual. I mean, who doesn't?
A unicorn butt plug, though. I mean, I guess, well, never mind. It's sparkly. It's festive is what it is. Yeah, made out of real unicorn horn.
But what else was there that we experienced today that was fantastic? I did see hand sanitizer that nobody else saw. What is with it? I never saw it. I kept looking and looking.
Aisle 300. I remember I specifically made a note. Mental note. Aisle 300. She made me witness this.
I made, like, look, Sherlock. Supernatural Dexter. But he does need some hand sanitizer. He does seem like he would need to sanitize up the main. Hell yeah.
You know what I hate about downtown Louisville? Carriages. Yeah, what is that? I don't understand it. Yeah, it really is.
Horse drum of variety. Yeah, there's one right there. For the viewers at home who can watch. That's the circular Cinderella one. That one is extra fancy.
And why do like 98% of carriages have dogs? I know there's got to be some reason. I don't think that one does. That's one of like the 2% that doesn't have a dog because of course I fucking mentioned it and of course she didn't have a fucking dog with her. Fucking bitch.
She did it on purpose. God damn, no dog having heifer. That's not just here, you know. I mean, I think most cities of a good size probably have that. Things like New York.
I know they have them in Indianapolis too. Yeah, most of the big cities it's a thing downtown. I got stuck behind the what's that silly ass shit where there's like 10 people that pedal. The pedaling ball nonsense. That does seem like something that's just here because we're retarded.
That seems like a horrible idea. Let's put a whole bunch of people on a big fucking multi-tandem bike, have them drink and pedal at the same time. I don't think they're steering though. That's probably for the best. But yeah, I mean, that seems like, you know, like a puke machine.
Not a good idea. Here comes another one. No dog fuckers. None of them are going to have dogs now that I said that all of them have dogs. There's a deluxe model over here, too.
It's like a carriage limo. Wood grain. This is like the Eddie Bauer edition. So, since you brought up the great George Wendt, I did talk to him today. I know.
I saw it. I was there. I took pictures very stalker-like. I was afraid they were going to yell at me because he seemed very serious at first. He kind of was the first, but I don't know.
I don't know. I kind of eased my way into it, and once we started talking, he was really cool. I was afraid this agent guy was going to yell at me. He was just a dude watching the table. Well, whoever he was, he seemed very like, no.
He actually checked on us in the middle of me standing at the table. To make sure you weren't making shit up? Yeah, pretty much. He asked where we were from, and he was like, oh. And then he asked the question you just answered back behind me.
Is it moviemeltdown.com? Which is obviously true. And then he's sitting there on his phone looking it up as I'm looking at the table and the different photos and stuff. You're a general maker-upper of shit. Well, I am, but not...
I do it on the show. Like, the show is part of everything going on. So, the great George went. George Jones. George Burns.
George Burns. George Benson. George C. Scott. George Reeves.
George Wallace. George Hallis. George Washington. George Washington Carver. George Jefferson.
George Jetson. George Picard. George Harrison. All right, so we're here with George Wendt. I guess I just want to get early on.
You were born on the south side of Chicago. I guess what was that like growing up then? It was.... Pretty normal i would say uh you know uh just i guess like any other urban childhood. Was it was a i mean it's kind of known now it's grown into sort of a rough neighborhood is that was that the case back then.
Yeah no it wasn't uh very rough uh actually the neighborhood i grew up in is still not very rough um you don't have to go far if you're looking for trouble you don't have to go very far but if you're not looking for trouble uh and you've got your street smarts about you, it should be fairly safe. How early on did you know you wanted to go into performing? Not until a couple of years after college. And then did you immediately sort of gravitate towards the Second City area? Yes, yeah.
I didn't even think about performing as a career or anything. I just wanted to be in Second City. I was too dumb and young to... think beyond that. But it's probably a good thing. So is it something you wanted to get into acting?
I guess I was going to ask, what do you think works better for certain people, like learning professional acting or more of the improv kind of stuff that Second City throws at you? Well, I only know my way, and that was through improv. I honestly never even thought about being an actor. I just wanted to be in Second City. And after I'd been there for a couple years...
You know, I mean, I stayed there for six years. So after I'd been there a couple of years, it started to dawn on me, well, I guess I'm an actor. You know, maybe I should, you know, start, I don't know, watching movies and seeing what people do and how they act. And, you know, maybe take an acting class or something. Yeah.
We ended up in a lot of smaller roles in those early movies. Were there any... I know things like Airplane 2 and stuff like that, you just kind of end up in. I don't know if there were some interesting stories on those early films. Not too much.
My first one that I was in that I wasn't cut out of was My Bodyguard. Just a couple of lines. I also was in Somewhere in Time, but... I got completely cut out. But interestingly, I still get residuals and stuff.
So that's cool. Do you know Doug Jones from these? He does stuff with Del Toro's movies. He's a huge Somewhere in Time fan. We did a whole episode with him talking about Somewhere in Time.
So he does these conventions. If you cross over with him, yeah, mention that because he'll be thrilled. Was he on that movie? No. I mean, he's just such a big fan of it.
But he's known for being in, like, he was, like, the silver surfer in those movies. He's, like, in all these horror movies with del Toro, but, like, loves Somewhere in Time. Yeah, people are kind of devoted to that. I think it was Richard Matheson. And, you know, everybody did a good job.
Yeah. Not my cup of tea, you know, it was a little soapy, a little weepy. I remember on that I got into a whole thing with him of, like, questioning the time travel, and I think that he's like, you're missing the point. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, then I guess the first one I remember seeing you in and knowing who you were was Dreamscape, which that was an interesting one and one that it felt like they were very much taking from the Stephen King popularity.
It felt like you were sort of a Stephen King guy. Charlie Prince or something, right? Yeah. Yeah. and uh i remember it was my it was my first bullet hit christopher plumbers henchman uh shot me point blank and with a nine millimeter uh pistol and i'll never forget the right in the chest and i'll never forget the it was my first bullet hit and the um special effects guy was like you know he had to put a metal keep taping a metal plate to my chest and taping the squib and whatnot. And he goes, yeah, I've been doing this on five continents for 43 years.
And I look down, and he's got a finger. Part of a finger is missing. Like a shop teacher, it's like, oh, boy. Instills you with confidence in his job. Yeah, yeah.
You had a little time with Dennis Quaid on screen with that one. What was he like? Nice, fun, yeah. I think after that, big one would be house. That was, uh, that's a fun movie.
Yeah. House. It was, uh, it was really fun. You know, things were, uh, you know, I was starting to feel like I was kind of hot back then, you know, uh, just, you know, cause cheers was just breaking out. And I had a few, uh, you know, future film offers.
And this, this one comes in and, um, the offer for house. And I'm like, I don't know if I really want to do like a horror picture kind of thing. Uh, And then, of course, that's the one that works, you know? You know, you do all these fancy movies and they'd lay there and then you never know which one's going to work and how it's worked like crazy. Did you have a lot of the crossover with the special effects?
They did a lot of crazy special effects. Yeah, I didn't, you know, I mean, the ones I was shooting with were very cool, but the knives and stuff and the tools and like gardening tools and stuff that were flying around. That was all on wires. It was pre-CGI. It was pretty cool.
Dangerous on that one, too. Yeah, not for me so much, but maybe for Bill. Well, then another big one at that point, Fletch. To this day, recently on the show, we're talking with several people about how influential that comedy was and how well pieced together that was just as a story and how well it works. as a character piece for him? I didn't know how you got involved in that.
Uh, just the usual way, you know, it was just, uh, uh, an interview and, uh, might've been an audition. I'm not sure. And, um, you know, he's, uh, Michael Ritchie, the late Michael Ritchie is a very talented filmmaker and smart guy. And, uh, he and Chevy had a lot of fun on that. Um, I hear that they're thinking about a remake, right?
And, I've heard, yeah. You know, the novels are pretty darn good. I know Chevy was kind of goofing off with goofy characters and whatnot. I mean, that was hilarious, but I don't know if those novels need that much help. They're a little more of a hard-boiled crime drama.
Yeah, but they're good, strong stories. A lot of people love those things. Books at one point you did Gung Ho so you got to work with Ron Howard. Yeah it was a good group Keaton and Totoro and. Rick Overton Totoro was in so much stuff.
Every Japanese actor in Hollywood by the way. Yeah Totoro just turned up in stuff so early on that like nobody knew who he was but he was just turning in good performances that early yeah it was what was Ron Howard like to work as a director. Funny as hell you know I didn't see that coming because you know I knew he was on a hit sitcom of course so it wasn't like he wasn't funny but he was more like the aw shucks all American boy but he was in person he had like a wicked sense of humor really a sharp sharp guy. Yeah I think they always kind of kept him on that PC kind of thing. Cause everybody, he was still OP.
He was, you know, Richie Cunningham. So yeah. Yeah. Uh, I was going to go like some of the, like, uh, guilty by suspicion is such a, an underrated movie. Like it was so well put together.
And what was, uh, Irwin Winkler like as a director? He was great. Um, it was really fun. Um, you know, it's, it's a little daunting to, uh, to work with, uh, Robert De Niro, but, um, you know, uh, It was like you'd imagine it would be, you know. I always thought, you know, he's almost the John Cleese of drama.
You know, like you're just waiting for John Cleese to get angry and lose it. And with Bob, you know, you're like, you just see all this seething sort of energy. And you just go, oh, God, oh, he's going to blow. He's going to blow on them. Bang, he blows, and it's magnificent.
He always seems like, even in interviews, it's like he works so much better when he's on screen. He almost doesn't know how to process. In the real world, you'll see him on interviews, and he gets so... He just doesn't know how to compose himself when he's himself. It's like he almost works better in character.
I don't know if you saw that on set. Man. Yeah, no. I know what you mean, though. Yeah.
Chat shows a lot different than on a set, you know, on a set, he was pretty relaxed. Yeah. There's just some people that fall right into it. And he always seems like he just doesn't, he doesn't know how to work well when he's not in character, but, but he's just so good at that. Yeah.
Maybe, you know, his mind is moving too fast and he, he, you know, doesn't really, you know, he doesn't have a through line or he's not trying to, you know, get anything across necessarily. He's, he's just trying to be honest and answer questions maybe. And, and, uh, there's just too many variables. He seems like a good guy. Yeah.
Um, then one of the, the offbeat ones, but one of my favorites, I love space truckers. How did you get involved? And I guess, was that the first time you worked with, uh, Stuart Gordon? Well, I worked with Stuart Gordon and, and Chicago, um, his, uh, company, the organic theater company was, uh, um, very hot, legendary Chicago group before Steppenwolf theater. And, uh, all them.
And, um, he, uh, so naturally we at second city, uh, felt like we need to satirize, uh, the organic theater company. So, um, they, they were in the way back then of, uh, adapting classic stories and devising their own, uh, scenarios with classic stories. And, um, of course, lots of, uh, fantasy and horror and bloodshed and, um, But they, you know, they were probably, you know, out of economic necessity, they were doing things in public domain like Beowulf and Huck Finn and stuff like that. And so we thought we'd do the Three Little Pigs as done by the Organic Theater Company. And then we got the idea that.
We should approach Stuart to see if he wanted to come guest direct us. And so he did, uh, lampooning, uh, his own company. And, you know, we had like gratuitous nudity, nudity, and, you know, like, like one of the little pigs had, you know, like eight tits, of course, you know, like, uh, and, uh, you know, just people were being disemboweled by the big bad wolf and everything. It seems like his brand of thing. So I've known Stuart since those days, theater days.
And, uh, So whether it was the first movie, I don't think so. Maybe King of the Ants, maybe, but I'm not sure. That was afterwards, but yeah. Yeah, Space Truckers is just so fun. Yeah, I know Stuart Gordon has that.
He really loves stage play as well. He's crossed over back and forth over the years. Yeah, well, we just did a musical of Re-Animator. It was really an amazing show. We're not done with that one yet.
And he's involved you? You're part of the cast? We did it. We ran in L.A. for like a year. And then we did a little showcase in New York at the New York Musical Theater Festival.
And then we went to Edinburgh for a month where we qualified for Best of Fest out of 2,714 shows. Five qualified for Best of Fest. And to qualify for Best of Fest, you had to have five five-star reviews from UK daily newspapers. And we had seven five-star reviews. And, you know, I'm sure we'll have a future with that project.
Yeah, I knew he'd done a musical version. I didn't know he'd brought you in on it. That's awesome. That's great. Well, that was one of the other ones I was going to ask about was King of the Ants.
And I heard you found that one and brought it to him as a novel? Yeah. Yeah, we were looking at writers for a project I was doing in the UK, and Charlie Higson's name was being thrown around. And I said, is there anything I could read? And they said, well, here's this novel.
So I read it, and I thought it was amazing. And I called them and said, does anyone ever want to do a movie? Everybody wants to do a movie, but nobody has the balls. I said, I think I might have the guy. So I gave it to Stuart, and of course he loved it.
And at one point I showed the script to my wife, and she read it and handed it back to me and said, I don't know who you are anymore. And Stuart said, well, there's our pitch. We'll go to the studios and tell them that story. But yeah, we got the same thing. We'd go to studio after studio, and they'd say, I couldn't put it down. but we could never make this.
And eventually, somebody did. It's definitely a different direction, even kind of pushing for you, bringing in a much darker edge to what, you know, they usually try to cast you. Yeah, well, I wasn't even, you know, Stewart insisted I should do that. You know, obviously, if you read the source material, you know, it wasn't about, you know, a project for me. I just was fascinated with the novel and And I thought Stuart would be a good marriage for it.
And then I guess you've got a couple of different projects coming up. Did you want to tell people about stuff you've got in the works? Yeah, I'm doing a new sitcom. We're not going to be on the air until 2015. But it's called Buzzies from Warner Brothers for TBS.
And, you know, 2015. I don't know when. It's a very different world now going into TV. How much is... Is it changed from being on the old network system to the way things work now?
Well, very little has changed in regards to this show. This is an old-school four-camera workplace ensemble comedy. And it's got veteran producer-writers Max Muchnick and David Cohan from Will & Grace. And so it's remarkably similar. James Widows is our director.
And, you know, it's funny. It hasn't changed much at all. Is it even like the getting out there now that having TBS as an option or having like the different ways to distribute stuff now? Yeah, well, TBS is, it's not one of the big three or now four. But, you know, there's far more. obscure channels doing wonderful series, you know, like Netflix and Amazon.
AMC kind of came out of nowhere. Yeah, yeah. I was so bummed with AMC when they started putting commercials in. I mean, I know that was a long time ago, and I think they were censoring their movies and stuff. They turned it around.
People were not thrilled with them for a while there because they started doing all that stuff, and then the original programming came along. Yeah, not bad. What was the Hollywood reboot? Is that in the works? I hope they find the funding.
It was supposed to shoot in May, and it blew up. But it's a pretty cute idea. I really can't share it because it's very premise-driven. So that's still. Possibly.
Just looking for funding, you say? I think so, yeah. All right. Well, thank you for talking with us today. I know, but he's got to sign it.
I just love you. Thank you. Thank you very much. I feel like I should be having a beer right now. Thank you, Norm.
Thank you, George. That was my goal in this, was to not use the N-word at any time. I'm assuming you get that a little more than. Well, when I'm sitting here with, you know, 18 photos of Norm, you. Know, I was trying to hit more of the movie stuff.

We're serious about music. That's part of your problem, you know. You haven't seen enough movies. All of life's riddles are answered in the movies. And now, on with the show.
Yeah, how great was George Wayne? He was pretty great. Pretty great. We talked about many movie-related things. Did he seem friendlier than he looked?
Because he didn't look very friendly. People were ignoring him because it's a super dorky convention and he's on a regular old sitcom. So it was sort of a weird place for him. To end up. People were ignoring a lot.
I mean, even the guy from Captain America never had a lot of people there. Mr. Falcon. Mr. Falcon.
Mr. Falcon. Mr. Falcon. Star of Falcon Crest.
The Great Falcon, yeah. But even he never had a line, really, you know? Which is weird, yeah, for as huge of, you know, the Marvel world is now, and, like, I feel like he is sort of poised to be a big star soon, now that, you know, they've given him, you know, he's pretty awesome in Captain America 2, so it's like, I'm waiting... To see 2016, the Falcon movie coming out. Yeah, absolutely.
Mr. Falcon goes to Washington. Isn't he already in Washington? He goes back. He goes home for the day.
Call, call. What's a Falcon sound? I don't know. How do you call a Falcon? It's just him punching people in the face.
But yeah, I mean. There didn't seem to be hardly long lines for anybody. I mean, I waited in the Carl Urban line for maybe 10 minutes. Really? That's impressive, really.
I mean, maybe. And that was yesterday morning. We did that early on. Once he was there, I went like, make sure he stays there. If you see a celebrity, you better jump on them and get your picture.
Because they might disappear. You never know with these things. I didn't see that bitch all day today. Which Carl Urban? Yes.
I told you, he was hanging out with Douche Coup, because she disappeared too. I mean, could you blame either one of them? Because, I mean, they would have some seriously beautiful babies. I'd be hanging out with some Douche Coup. Mm-hmm.
Hell, I'd hang out with Douche Coup. And brush her hair. I'm not saying it's messy, it just looks glorious, and I want to brush it. Maybe braid it. I want to learn how to French braid, specifically so that I can French braid her hair.
Yeah, I think that sounds like a good idea. I just want to mess it up. I would French braid Karl Urban's if it was long enough again. What about his chest hair if it grew out enough? I would consider it but I'd be creeping at the same time.
Kind of put cornrows in it maybe. Chest dreads. That'd be pretty sexy. I guess form a circle around his belly button like a nice little circle going on. Yeah.
Like a crop circle? Yes. Carl Urban crap circles. Like, now I want to watch every Carl Urban movie. You just did that, like, last year.
Including Pathfinder? I've never seen Pathfinder. It's all right. I mean, it's not great. It's Native Americans versus Vikings, and it's way too dark visually.
I'm not sure if I could watch the Riddick movie again. Oh, is he in that? He's in the second one. He's Vocko. Ooh.
He's got that flashback for 10 seconds in that new one. Yeah, it's horribly greased back here. It's horrible. But then again, I don't know if I could stand the commitment of having to watch the Lord of the Rings. Is he just in one Lord of the Rings movie?
Right. He dies, right? I don't remember. Spoiler alert. Oh, sorry.
If you ain't seen it by now, you deserve to have it. Does he? I honestly don't remember. I don't either now. I don't know which one he's in.
He's in the first? He's Eomer. The only reason I remember his name is Eomer is because he signed somebody's thing yesterday and wrote his name on it. Lord of the Rings 2. That's a movie.
It is. And I've got to admit, as boring as fuck as the new Hobbit movies are, they are ridiculously boring. They are the most boring things in the world. Who knew dwarves were models, like supermodels? Like, that's a handsome dwarf.
There are a couple in there that I'm like, you know, I'd tap that. I'd lift him up. Bring him uptown, then bring him downtown. You know, there's a couple in there, you know. There's probably, I'm pretty sure there's a movie like that.
Waiting for you out there. I know there's a Game of Thrones. There's a couple of Game of Thrones variations. So there's got to be a Hobbit one out there somewhere. No shit, dude.
But anyways, the trailer. You saw the trailer for the new Hobbit movie in 3D? Yeah, I just did. Did you see the 3D trailer? No, I went cheap.
Oh, see. The 3D trailer was fucking amazing. I'm like, that would look so beautiful if it wouldn't have put me to sleep. Because it's just boring. This is the first of the Hobbit stuff that I thought I might watch just because it's the big fight scenes.
The other two, I'm like, okay, more walking. A lot of walking. A lot of arguing about how to pronounce smog. I want to see smog. I haven't gotten around to it, but I always liked him in the animated version when he was smog, and that's what I'm going to continue to call him.
I just want to listen to Benedict Cumberbatch talk. Oh, he's smog. Yeah, I want him to like, I want to get the book on tape and just have him read the entire thing to me in different voices. Different voices. I say we let him go.
That would be amazing. That would be the most amazing thing of all. Benedict Cumberbatch. That's a retarded name. You love that guy.
He sounds like he lives in the Shire, you know? He might, actually. I adore him. I don't even care. I almost bought a hand sanitizer that had his face on it today.
It doesn't surprise me at all, actually. $ 2. $ 2. We can go back in there. I'll find it. I don't think Christian believes me that it exists. All 300.
300. Where the heck is this elusive aisle? I don't know. It's in the past where everybody's kind of shiny and shirtless. You know, 300.
I like that movie. Oh, right. That's a good movie. There's a lot of belly buttons in that movie. Michael Fassbender's.
There is Michael Fassbender's belly button in that movie. It's not very hairy. Jared Butler's isn't hairy yet. Jordan Butler's kind of hairy, but in a podcast. It's one track mind.
Seems to be. I keep bringing it back around. I keep trying to go away. I'm like, nope, we're bringing it right back in. Hairy belly button dudes.
You keep bringing it back there. I know. It just makes me think of belly button lint and my disgusting brother. Just makes me think of Tara Reade. Because I forgot to put it back on.
I brought that up on several episodes now. At the convention, and you could see from here to this far above her. Hoo-ha? Exactly. And there was no belly button.
I don't know if it was in between her boobs. Oh, maybe it's a dimple. It was totally smooth from boobs to pelvic region. I think they forgot to put it back on. It was very strange.
Or it was pulled up to here. That's what you have to be careful with, those readjustments. She had no ass whatsoever. We've covered that already. I know, but I wanted to make sure that everybody.
Everybody was fully aware because we had new listeners. Unlike the glorious ass of Lori from The Walking Dead. Celebrity ass update from Misty. I wonder if there's a website dedicated to Lori's ass. There's gotta be.
Have you been to the internet? Well, you know, sometime recently I have. But if there's not, we should see about making that happen. Get on that ass. Get on that ass.
You heard it here. Lori's ass dot com. Apocalypse ass dot com. Walking dead ass. Ooh, that was good.
It's just a picture of Christopher Walken's ass. Aw, like you get there all excited and be like, well, this is not what I expected at all. That's a belly button that I don't want to see. It just seems like it'd be a little disturbing. Everything about him is a little disturbing.
More than a little. I feel like there'd be a tiny person that lived inside of his belly button. And his name was Jim. No, not your imaginary friend that lived in the oven. True story.
And he did. And he was a nice guy. Do you still visit with him? I'm thinking about it. It was, yeah.
And I was three and four. That's a nice ass. Damn. That's a good one. She must do squats.
We're currently flashing back to Misty's photo of Lori's ass that she again stalker photoed Lori's ass. Pencil skirts. While we're on the escalator here. I'm not escalator. I'm right out there.
In this very building, Lori's ass. I was stalking her. Stalking her ass, mostly. I got a picture of Shane's, too, but nobody wants to see that. Nope.
Keep that to yourself. I don't want to see his belly button, either. Mm-mm. You know who did? Martin Scorsese.
That's who. Well, he's in that new Brad Pitt movie, too, right? Isn't that the same guy? Which one? Fury, the tank movie.
Yeah. That seems interesting. Somebody just stepped into the big time. Yeah. He's graduated up.
Yeah. Yeah. Everybody else is like, hurry up and kill me. I want to get a movie deal. Right, yeah.
Hot flavor of the month. Is there anything else you've seen lately you'd like to pass along to people? Well, I'd be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to my main man, James Garner. That is true. Love that guy.
Loved him. It is, yeah. Been a pleasure. Sad day since we last spoke to you. Oh, yeah.
It was tough. I watched a few of his movies. Turner Classic did a whole day. Yeah. And they showed a lot of the mediocre stuff.
I guess they just had it sitting on the top of the shelf. Or the license was cheap for those. Right, yeah. Something like that, yeah. I'm like, you know, really?
You're going to put Victor Victoria on at 2 o'clock in the morning? Well, okay. You know. Take what you can get, I suppose. Yeah.
But I did get to see some cool ones. There's a. Flicky did with Lee Remick called Wheeler Dealers. That's like a Texas oil man. He was working some angles.
It's a lot like his old Maverick show, but it was kind of a contemporary, like, you know, 60s Mad Men kind of era kind of thing. I was like, that could have been a character that could have gone somewhere maybe. That's cool. And Lee Remick is always gorgeous. She's always one of my favorites.
But it was really funny. And, you know, just a few odds and ends. Hour of the Gun, which was another... remake of the okay corral you can fight the okay corral. He did a good amount of westerns did he did yeah a lot and i guess after maverick they just kept throwing him at him probably. Yeah yeah exactly but this one it was it was really good um from uh from something wicked this way jason robards yeah there you uh was in it as um val kilmer played tombstone that guy that's doc holiday and so it's interesting to see like you know they both played the character the you know the person and according to his real life, you know, as best they could or interpreted it well, but it was completely different.
Like, Robards always had that deadpan kind of thing. And then Kilmer kind of played it over the top, you know. That's how you say it. Yeah, go figure. That's probably his most reserved over the top.
Yeah. But I just thought, you know, I mean, it's hard to top Kurt Russell's, you know, Wyatt Earp I think is still, like, my favorite. but Garner's it's neat to see and I could go on I mean if you I could do a whole podcast just about him but that'll be later several you know but he there's a determination because honestly like the real person was kind of sleazy too I mean everybody in that time period had some angle they were working you know and so he kind of plays him like you know no nonsense but also a little darker than your average you know you know Hallmark movie of the week. Or whatever what What time period was that? That was, is that 58? That's early.
It's maybe like 60. Even then, that's early for them to be playing the character a little dark. Yeah. You still get so many, especially Westerns, everything's like black and white, good guy, bad guy, squeaky clean. It's not like that 70s era where you started getting the weird Well, everything's a gray area, and our anti-hero is the hero.
Right. Yeah, so it's really early for him to be playing it kind of dark. Because it's interesting, because he goes back in, like, 68 or 70, and he's kind of floundering, you know, Garner's floundering in between jobs, you know, trying to figure out what his next step is, because, like, every male action hero at that time, things were changing, you know? It's like, you know, John Wayne, you know, wasn't cutting it anymore. People wanted to see Clint Eastwood.
And so he went over and did an Italian film. It's with, I can't think now, it's an American actor who, it was his first, I think maybe one and only directing job. But it was called Man Called Sledge. And it's really interesting because he plays a dark character in that really well. Because later on he plays kind of jokey cowboys that he's more known for.
But he plays that really dark, and he's got a handlebar mustache, and he's kind of rough and tumble. That's pretty villainous for him. Yeah, so the end of it is really good, but it's kind of a mess. It's another one to search out just for the oddity of it. Definitely.
Yeah, so anyway, I've just been watching a lot of his movies. I saw Guardians of the Galaxy, so there's that, which I recommend. It's really good. I know you're going to talk about it later. I'm sure.
We will continue to talk about all these, especially the Marvel world. It's taking over. That's it. It's not a bad thing. So far, I've been okay with Marvel.
I don't think they've been anything that's really pissed me off yet, so I think we're okay. There's a few questionable decisions. Spider-Man movies? That's not them, really. That's Sony.
But still, it's from the same.... Universe, but not really. Not in the film world, just in the comic world. But, yeah, I'm just like, most of the problems I had were what was setting up what's now in play. Like, early on, I was just like, their mess that they'd made with Iron Man 2.
Yeah. It felt very calculated as to, okay, we need to set up S.H.I.E.L.D., we need to get this going, we need to bring in Black Widow, we need to, like, all these other pieces that made Avengers work. Mm-hmm. Took out of Iron Man 2. I feel like it messed up the story that could have been a pretty decent story.
I think we have a good villain there. We have another sleazy villain that gets worked in a little more than he needs to, really. He kind of needed his own movie. Who's the villain in 2? 2 is Mickey Rourke.
Oh, yeah. But he's not really the villain by the time you get to the end of it. Right. So it's like they... There's several stories going, almost too many, especially too many when you work in all the S.H.I.E.L.D. set up stuff.
And the alcoholism. Which that kind of needed to be there, but again, that almost needs more focus. It needs to have, for it being such a huge plot point in the comic series, it seems like they kind of needed to address it in its own thing and not just as a. possible thing which again they totally like gloss over later and like he just continues to drink because he's starting stuck because he's cool and he's got a martini like so i don't know it's so i mean i think if they they we're still kind of fighting some of those weird judgment calls along the way but now they've kind of got a system going and. Well you know you got you know i'm real curious about that sharon carter miniseries miniseries i think it's a regular series for abc right.
And they're doing the four on netflix aren't they yeah right yeah that'll be interesting to see how they get that yeah going as well as like another side property place to drop more stuff so it's it'll be. Interesting that's it and then you know and then agents of shield i saw that lucy lawless is going to play a recurring character on that which you know that's good so i have not seen any of shield it's my opinion, you watch the first few episodes to get kind of the vibe of it and then skip to the end, you know, cause it really suffers from having to do 20 some episodes when it really only needed to do like 10. That was my, I only watched a little bit of an episode here and there. I don't even know if I've sat down and watched an entire episode, but it always just seems so slow.
Like it just like, it seems like they're setting up characters and I'm like, I guess maybe if I was a little more invested in these characters, but even then I'm kind of like, I feel like I wouldn't care even then. Like, it seems like there's a lot of story going on about people that I'm not all that invested in. And like, they're almost setting up side plots just so they can use them later in the bigger stories that people actually care about. Right. Yeah.
It's, I, you know, I understand you can't divulge too much, you know, because you want to save stuff for the films, but you have to divulge something. And there's a lot of, There's a lot of areas they could get into. They just were gun-shy in a lot of that. And it follows, in my opinion, just too closely to the Joss Whedon team. And it's just like, honestly, they could have killed every single character.
Even Coulson and I would have been like, oh, okay. Well, they already did that. Still call bullshit on that. Yeah, exactly. See how well that stuck.
But the best thing about it this whole season was Bill Paxton. I've heard nothing but good things about his weird little appearances. Yeah, because it was very much like in kind of a vibe, like a Chet vibe from Weird Science. Like Chet got legit, you know, and somebody got a shield clearance. He'll never live Chet.
Yeah, he never. All right, guys. I just have to stop and think for a second. Which one's Bill Pullman and which one's Bill Paxton? You're one of those people.
I am. I don't have that issue. Those are very different people in my mind. Paxton's the one from Near Dark, right? Yes.
Okay. Yeah. Coleman's the one who was a president in Independence Day. Exactly. You got it.
Very good. Now, who is David Keith and who's Keith David? I don't think those are different people. I think there's one Keith David, David Keith, and they're just like they've morphed into one dude. One thing.
Yeah. Yeah. More than one person. Yeah. I was like, I didn't know there was another version.
Is there really another person? They don't look alike so much. No. But nobody quite keep them straight. But they're in the same types of movies.
You know, you can find them. Maybe I've always just heard one and just assumed it was the both. I don't know. Is this David Keith that's in Firestarter, Officer and the Gentleman? It's a fun game, too.
And then Keith David is the guy in The Thing and Platoon. Too complicated. They Live, of course. Duh. Yeah.
And the voice of the Cartoon Network commercials. Yeah. The voiceover guy, which is weird. I think that's swapped out a few times, but I do remember his run. Yeah, yeah.
That's funny. Well, I think we'll let those people at home play this game now. We'll let you guys play the David, Keith, Keith, David game and Google some belly buttons while you're at it, and we'll just wrap up here. Should we take some recommendations for belly buttons to look up? Because I would highly recommend Carl Urban's, Michael Fassbender, maybe a little bit of Tom Hiddleston.
George Wendt. I would not recommend George Wendt. I didn't go there. I just kind of talked to him. So I kind of left his belly button.
I am kind of curious about LeVar Burton's belly button. Is it blind too? A little visor. Tiny, tiny little visor. Does it glow blue now?
I don't know. It might. Are there shirtless pictures of LeVar Burton on the internet? Bonus game. We're about to find out.
Welcome to the bonus round. Don't act like you didn't know it was coming. Probably from Roots, right? Oh, that's great. There's all kinds of shirtless there.
Not for good reasons. No, no. Yeah, not good at all. I just want to know what it's going to bring up. The VAR B-U-R-T-O?
It's just an episode of. The time I'm reading Rainbow. Reading Rainbow where he's just standing there. Hey, kids. What's up?
Come on in. It's not going to be awkward at all. Nope, it's mostly just Roots. It's in a book. Hey, check out my Watchboy devs.
It's reading Rainbow. Apparently he boxed at some point in a movie. Oh. Or is he boxing in Roots? I've never seen it.
I don't think it's... Oh, yeah, I've never seen Roots either. I know he says give us free. It is a young picture of LeVar Burton, though. Oh, yeah.
You can't see his belly button, though. He's getting arrested. Hold on. That's... That's in the real world.
No, it's not. It's from a movie. It's on Reading Rainbow. It's okay. It's right after that episode.
Hey, kids, come here. That doesn't look like Lamar Burton at all. That's some skinny white kid. What? Lamar Burton is not a skinny white kid.
I'm sorry. He's not racist at all. He's a great actor. If he can play a skinny white kid. That is a good performance.
My. Lorenzo Lamas. That guy's a douche. How does looking at Lamar Burton shirtless give me a little. Snake-ier.
I'm going with snake-ier. That's my answer. Snake-ier. Oh my gosh. He's such a douche.
Why are these vests so tight? Thank God I left it open with my shirt off. Oh man. I need to buy bigger vests. They serve no purpose.
I like that it's a recommendation from you. Wil Wheaton shirtless. Nobody wants that. I want to see Wil Wheaton shirtless. I love Wil Wheaton, but.
Not in that way. No. That was one of the options. There you go. Gates McFadden shirtless.
Oh, my. That was one of the options. Hold on. Let me go back. What about Jonathan Frank's shirtless?
There's no challenge for Marina. We've all seen her shirtless. Whoopie. Is Worf ribbed all the way down? Hell yeah, he is.
For your pleasure. Gates McFadden shirtless, Will Whedon shirtless, and Jonathan Frakes shirtless is their recommendation. If it's Jonathan Frakes now, I definitely don't. We saw him wheel past us with his stuff. Technically, he was just pulling his, like, bags.
Brought up Gil Gerard. That's not him at all. He's furry, though. Not Chris Plum shirtless. I'm okay with that one.
Oh, Chris Pine? Yeah, let me see that. All up in that. Drinking a beverage in one of them. Oh, that's a glorious belly button.
That's a good one. All of that. Was it a Prince Charming in the new Disney? Was it Into the Woods or something? Seems about right, actually.
Yeah, like the whole while with the little puffy things on the sleeves and the elbows. Yeah, I did see that. That'll be good. And guess who's going to be playing the big bad wolf? Who relishes playing weird characters?
Helena Bonham Carter. I was going to say, is there a homewrecker involved? Because I think I've already seen pictures of her. No, because it would be the other person who's usually in Tim Burton movies who likes to play weird characters, Johnny Depp. That I figured, but I swear I thought I already saw a picture of Helena Bonham Carter.
No. Maybe it's a wolf suit, and she's playing the front legs, and he's playing the back legs. Now that I can see happening, and I would possibly tune in for that one. He's howling from his belly button. That's not his belly.
Button. Gross, you guys. This is the only picture I can find of Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf. All you can see is an ear and a hand. Nice.
That's Johnny Depp's ear. A hat. A quirky hat. Oh, and a quirky hat. He seems like he would make a better weasel.
You know what I mean? He weasel-y bastard. The big bad weasel. Not that I hate Johnny Depp. He's pushing his luck these days.
He is. And I just... I don't think he's a big bad wolf. He looks like a little... A little weasel-y wolf.
Yeah, a little weasel-y wolf. He has ruined the hotness of Amber Heard. She used to be... Oh, my God. Look at that mullet.
Right on. Oh, yeah. This is what happens when you sit next to the window. It's a fucking righteous mullet right there. But....
Amber Heard used to be so gorgeous. Where's the puffy sleeve picture? I love him. Amber Heard used to be so gorgeous and so incredibly hot. But then, like, she hooked up with Johnny Depp and he, like, sucked the hot.
It's like a mullet on one side. Like, one side's a mullet. It's like a crooked mullet. Yeah, it's like an asymmetrical mullet. A crullet?
A crullet? It's like somebody just took it and. Turned it sideways. It's like it's long on one side, but then it's mullety. It's long.
Oh. Long enough. It was, like, full grown on one side, but then, like, the other side was, like, up to here. Oh, yeah. Oh, it was stupid looking.
Okay, I'm done. I'm trying. I'm done. Goodbye. This is Misty.
This is Movie Meltdown. We are at a fandom fest, and we are hungry. And what's the website? MovieMeltdown.com. Or iTunes.
Or on iTunes. Ah, iTunes. They can give us any kickbacks. And you guys don't leave us any five-star reviews for the last five years or 12 years, however long we've been doing this damn thing. Screw you, iTunes.
So, no, listeners, quit your slacking and go give us some five-star reviews. Is it wrong to eat Wizard World mints at Fandom Fest? They will not appreciate that. I don't care. I tried to find Japanese black black mints with all the Japanese snacks, and she was like, we don't have black black.
And I was like, well, fine. You don't have my business. There's way more Japanese food here than there's ever been. More Japanese snacks. I have never seen so many Japanese snacks.
But they were overpriced. We were deliberating getting the Kit Kats. They were always kind of overpriced. $ 15 for Kit Kats. Any Japanese food in this country is always kind of overpriced. Just give me a break.
Break me off a piece of that. Lori's ass. Okay, I'm glad somebody said it because I was going to have to do it. Oh, yeah. All right.
Well, if nothing else, we would like to say thank you to George Wendt, who did put up with Misty leering at him the whole time. Taking stalker pictures. Taking her stalker pictures. I was so waiting for him to yell at me or something. I can picture him being angry at me.
All of a sudden, it becomes a black and white video. Dude, totally. You're playing your darn rock and roll music too loud. I do that sometimes. Let's cue the black and white and get the hell out of here.
So thank you to George Wendt for talking with us. He was actually very cool and had some cool movie stories. I didn't even use the N-word, so it's cool. I kept it cool. The bad N-word?
In his life, I'm sure it is. All right. So with that, we will wrap it up. Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week.
Same geek time, same geek feed. Thanks for listening. I believe in miracles, and a miracle is happening tonight. If you're thinking about my baby, it don't matter if you're black or white. And I told about equality.
And it's you either you're wrong or you're right. I ain't scared of that. So, what you think of me? Prediction. The gangs, clubs, and nations.
Causing grief in human relations. It's a turf war on a global scale. I'd rather hear both sides of the tale. See, it's not about races. Just places, faces.
Where your blood comes from is where your space is. I've seen the bright get dark. I'm not gonna spend my life being a color. Do you agree with me? When I saw you kicking dirt in my eyes.
It don't matter if you're black or white. It don't matter if you're black or white. It don't matter if you're black or white. It's right. It's right.
It's right. I thought I told you to turn that thing off! It is too late, and it's too loud! But, Dad, this is the best part. You are wasting your time with this garbage.
Now go to bed! Bonus. I would like to thank Carl Urban for letting me see his belly button, however inadvertently it may be. I have to thank LeVar Burton for giving me the Ebola fist bump. Do you now have the Ebola?
Boom. It's catching. Ebola, it's what's happening. Do you have any personal thank yous? Thank you, as always, to Brian and Misty for the Movie Meltdown crew.
Thank you to my lovely girlfriend, Christian, for being lovely and awesome and mushy and a true con-companion. Oh, my God. Con-companion. He's just trying to make up for having watched Guardians of the Galaxy without her. Yeah, pretty much.
I'm digging myself out of a pretty big hole. Thin ice, buddy. Groot, where are you when I need you? I am Groot. In Misty's bag over here.
Help, Groot, help. This episode is a production of Movie Meltdown, produced and edited by The Oddity Studios, with opening music performed by The Empires. For more on how to sponsor or support the show, email producer at moviemeltdown.com. Talk hard!
