The following feature has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. It is intended for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised. Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I am Brian.
I'm Roger. Marlena. All right. So that rounds us out this week. That's it.
We've got Jay's prepping for Beatersville, the big car show next week. So they've got their meeting going on this week. And Misty was ill as of this morning. Her tummy hurts. So, yes, we are hanging in there with the rest of the crew.
And they'll be sorry that they aren't here because welcome to Wookiee Fest. Hello. Wait what there you go see today uh yeah we will be uh featuring not only an interview but a film all surrounding. Uh peter mayhew which you would know as chewbacca it's a. Very large odd looking man.
He's he's a big dude let me tell you definitely he. Looks wookie-esque like i don't know It's strange. Yeah, it's weird how much he still looks like himself out of the makeup. You're still like, oh, yeah, there's Chewie. There's a movie made?
A film? I'm assuming it's a fan film of some sort. No, no. We'll get there. We'll get there as we go on, but yeah, we'll come back to that at the end of this.
Alright, I guess we'll roll into this week's geek activities. Ta-da! um i did watch a a movie. For one which is amazing half the time for me and uh actually a really good movie i did watch pontypool what the hell's that have you not seen i don't know it's in in the geek circles it's got a pretty big following it's it's sort of a way of doing a zombie movie it's pontypool pontypool yeah it's actually out of ontario and it's pretty well put together i have to say it's It's maybe high-level independent film. I mean, they've got a decent amount of backing. It looks great.
They've got real actors. But, yeah, they found a way to do it on a pretty limited budget, and it's pretty amazing to watch. Is it a different take on the whole zombie genre, hopefully? Definitely. So, yeah, I don't know if maybe too many people have addressed it, because I know Misty was up for watching it.
So if anybody out there listening wants us to watch it, I'm definitely up for doing a whole show on it. But I didn't know. I've already heard a few shows talk about it, so I didn't know if it was overplayed at this point. Gotcha, gotcha. I'll leave it up to you guys and everybody here if we actually want to sit down and do a show on it.
It's pretty awesome. I'm down. I've never even heard of it. Did you find it at Wild and Mully? Yeah, I think it's out on DVD already.
It's been out for a while, again, in Canada, so I know people had different copies from Like, the international version where they were getting a hold of. But, yeah, I think it's on DVD. Actually, it was on cable this past weekend. I guess it just made its way to one of the channels. What channel was it on?
I think it was one of the. I think it was, like, the movie channel. The leftover version of the movie channel, which I'm surprised still exists at this point, but... yep yeah i was yeah once i saw what's coming on i was like okay now i'm watching this so because i've been wanting to see it forever so that that was awesome let's see i did watch a miami medical which i didn't that's what i'm saying i don't even think i realized it was a show but i saw that it was getting ready to come on and they showed them rolling an alligator into the hospital on a gurney and i was like okay i might have to see where the hell they're going with this That part was pretty cool. There's a gator. He attacks people.
Yeah. He ends up taking people out. Wait, in the hospital? No, this was, they were golfing and like, oh, you're at a water hazard and the gator comes up and attacks people. So, yeah, the gator part was awesome.
But as I watched the show, I was like, this is the most forgettable show. Like, I could care less about any of these characters. It's like, it's just another one of those interchangeable medical shows. Yeah. Yeah, if it makes it past, they'll probably renew it for next season, but if it makes it past that, I'll be surprised because it's just completely forgettable.
Didn't Stephen King have that one medical supernatural hospital type show? Was it actually a show? Was it sci-fi? Yeah, I think so. I thought it was more like a.
Yeah, I didn't know if it was a mini-series. I thought it was a mini-series. I'm like, because that seems like it'd be a cool concept. I don't think it was well-received either way. People just want the cut-and-dried cookie, like, I just want another frickin' ER or something.
Yeah. It's like, what about something a little different? No. No, which is what this wants to be, but yeah, it doesn't have any characters you really care about at all. Yeah, it'll be awesome.
Except for the alligator. Yeah, I like the gator. That was the only reason I watched it. I was like, I like gators. All right.
Rupert. Here's the alligator from Eaten Alive. Actually, in Florida, alligators aren't even as big of a problem now as the snakes are. Yeah. Which is funny.
I didn't watch this, but apparently it was on the Discovery Channel over the weekend. Someone was telling me about how they watched it and how the snakes are an epidemic in Florida. Snakes. Anyway. Snakes.
So, yeah, as you noticed when we sat down in the studio here, the only other thing I did was I did a little bit of painting yesterday. Which is looking good, looking better. It's slow progress. That's okay. And I hate it.
Because it's all that trim stuff that's not easy. Do you have a trim roller brush? No. Yeah, they're sweet. It really helps.
You don't want to kill yourself. So, yeah, I hate it. So the only thing that sort of made it tolerable was, once again, throw on some more Veronica Mars. But, and I want to go into that because I go into that every week. But what I wanted to go into is they were episodes that, back to back, starred both of the kids.
Well, it didn't star. Featured both of the older kids from fucking Home Improvement. Now, yeah, it was the Zachary Ty Bryan was in one and the next episode, Jonathan Taylor Thomas was in. And I was like, well, then I started thinking, I was like, but I remember when I'm back a million years ago, the sad part is Smallville was still on then. They were on Smallville, too, like separate episodes, but they were both on there in the span of about two seasons.
I'm like, do they have the same agent? Like, who the hell books these same two kids for the same stupid shows? I think maybe JTT just can't handle that Zachary Ty Bryant. Or whatever his name is. I guess.
Gets work, and he's like, I'm gonna do this dude, motherfucker. Fucking asshole. Yeah. Because, like, they're constantly competing. I guess so.
I don't understand. But that led me to my other point, which I want to pose this to you guys and to everyone. Okay. What the hell happened to JTT? I mean, I was in love with him when I was in, like, fourth grade.
But just, like, career-wise. I mean, if ever there was somebody who was poised to take over the world, like, of Hollywood at least. I mean, he was the biggest star in the world. Yeah. He was on this primetime hit show.
He left that to go do movies. He was the hottest young actor in the world and just gone. He stayed only five feet tall. Yeah. I think that.
I mean, is he really a good actor? I never really got that he... you know because the the child actor they grow up and what can make and break them is their cuteness like if they keep their childish looks that helps them but if you like turn into kind of like the the wonder years kid then it doesn't help and it's kind. Of like i mean he's a successful producer yeah but he's not an actor anymore you know most of them move behind the scenes yeah yeah they realize ron howard was right i should get back here and start doing stuff behind. The camera see and i didn't i don't i mean did JTT? I don't even think he goes by that anymore.
I think now he's just Jonathan Thomas. Oh, Thomas. In fifth grade, I had a calendar that said JTT. I'm sure it did. He was banking on that JTT thing.
Pictures of him. He had that big. bowl cut feathered whatever it was monstrosity yeah they. All kind of did all three of those kids were fucking weird looking back in the day. But yeah i i just figured that he didn't make the the transition from child actor to grown-up like actor for whatever reason. But not for that reason because i've seen him and stuff as he's gotten older he still kind of looks the same it's not like he got horribly awkward like he just looks like an older version of himself did he get into drugs I.
Actually checked today. I was like, well, maybe he's just working and I'm just not watching the shit. No, the last big thing he was on was that episode of Veronica Mars. And that was like 2005. Maybe he's an accountant.
He did a voiceover for something and then hadn't done anything, period, since 2006. I'm just like, wow. To be the biggest up-and-coming star and then just disappear. That big of a gap between work i think he's pretty much like doomed like i. Don't know i blame it on i'll be home for christmas i don't know i'm.
Sure in a couple of years we'll see a where are they now. Special yeah yeah and we'll find out about his life. It'll be really sad if it's not even drugs or anything he just he just stopped doing things i remember. Like watching that a couple years ago and a lot of people which i mean most of them still are just like failed actors yeah the kid from uh willie wonka in the chocolate factory he became a veterinarian. Which i mean that's fine you can get to that point but that's usually for like lesser stars like the Dude, that was a huge movie.
Like the DJ kid from Roseanne. He's not a big star now, but you know what? He was DJ on Roseanne. So I can see him just sort of fading into the background there. Didn't he get into drugs?
I don't think so. No, he got married. He's just got kids now and he's just a dad. Which is fine if they want to do that. But it's like JTT was the Zac Efron of the 90s.
He was poised to take over Hollywood. And just, yeah, wild America. That was it. He was gone. I mean.
It's Stephanie from Full House that got hooked on meth. Oh, that's right. Yeah, that's right. Stupid bitch. And she supplied it to the Olsen twins.
Yeah. God, I hated her. The Olsen, one of the, it's weird the Olsen twins don't work together anymore. I don't know. Do they like hate each other now?
Probably. I mean, if you were stuck with somebody that much your entire life. And that you dress like them all the time. And you were like, then synonymously known. You know, there is no version of you.
It's just the twins. You don't have a singular identity. I think that would kind of wear on you after a while. Probably. I don't remember what movie it was for, but I saw a cast list of some movie that's coming out soon.
And it's one of the Olsen twins. Just one of them. I think one of them is doing a lot more. One of them moved into modeling and is getting stuff. So I don't know if she's the one that's acting now, too.
But, yeah, the other one, like, didn't want anything to do with it. I mean, they have billions of dollars they don't really need to do. Yeah. They shouldn't have to work the rest of their lives unless somebody screws them out of all their money. Well, I think that's cool.
You know, they're kind of doing their own thing. Like, you know, why should you have to do the same thing that your twin or whatever does? But, you know, I don't understand because I'm not one of those twin people. Their minds work differently. Always like, yeah, that kind of, like, I don't know, connective thought process or whatever.
Maybe. I don't know. It's all very technical. So, yeah, that was just, it was barely tied to what I watched this week. But it brought that up today.
The more I thought about it, I was like, seriously, like, that's sad how big he was to go to gone, just fucking wiped off the entertainment world. It's like, that's crazy. Yeah. So, yeah, that was pretty much me. That movie that has Howie Mandel and Fred Savage.
No, Little Monsters. I fucking love that movie. It was on regular TV over the weekend. I just didn't like Howie Mandel even then. Dude, I love that movie.
It's a great movie. He's just annoying. They, like, put saran wrap over a toilet seat and, like, peanut butter on a phone. It's brilliant. It's a brilliant movie.
I don't know if those were original, but yeah, kids probably thought that was pretty damn fine. I mean, well, funny, kind of in that vein, the only thing I really watched this week was and It is a movie that my girlfriend has, and I was like, I can't believe you have this, and she loves it. And I saw it when it came out way, way, way, way, way back when it came out in theaters. Super Mario Brothers. I love Super Mario Brothers.
It's one of the worst movies ever in the world. I own it, thank you very much. It has nothing to do with the game. Minimal. And even the movie itself doesn't. doesn't really have...
It doesn't flow. The ideas don't connect. It has Dennis Hopper and Mojo Nixon. I think it kind of does. It was one of those.
Again, on the back of my mind, I was up for watching, so if you're up for it, hey, I'll do a whole damn show about it. I don't know. I just saw it. We can put it off a little while. I just enjoyed Yoshi.
When Yoshi showed up, I was like, oh, that has to be Yoshi. He shot his little tongue out, and I was like, Yoshi! But other than that. No, I was all about. Oh, I want to freaking kill myself.
No, I was all about the princess. Multiple times. Samantha Mathis, I had a thing for her anyway, so. What happened to her? Didn't she disappear?
That's another one. Well, she was in a lot of stuff for a while, though. She at least had a decent run and was almost getting like... big, like big budget projects and then just sort of disappeared. And again, I think it was just like age. Like you get to that point where once you hit 30, especially as a girl in movies, it's like you either become the mom roles or.
You go, you know what? I'm kind of done with acting. So I think that's what hurt. Or you show your business and let, you know, that'll take you other places. That used to be true, but it's not true anymore.
Not as much, but still, I mean, you think how much it has. To narrow down your market at that point. You're then fighting with every other actress that has decided to stick with it. At that age. At that age.
I mean, I guess, but I kind of feel like anymore it's like all these people have just been in the business. Like Cameron Diaz and... And, like, even Angelina Jolie is, like, what, 36 or something? Yeah, but they're all still names. Like, those are pretty much A-listers.
So, I mean, when you're not an A-lister and you hit that, it kind of kills you. I mean, you can coast for an extra 10 years and people don't even notice that you're 30 when you're Julie Roberts and you're Cameron Diaz. You can coast on your name and just your marketability on a movie poster for years past. When a nobody actor would. Yeah, that's true.
That's probably it for them, but, yeah. So. So that was basically, as far as my geek activities, that was pretty much like the stint of it. And I apologize for that. It should be more exciting.
Mine wasn't exciting. But, yeah, I mean, it was exciting for me because it made me feel feelings and emotions were bubbling up. anger and hatred and there was some love and then more anger and confusion and yeah. It was just it was weird i'm one of the few that thinks that's almost the way they. Should go with video game movies just. Go off and do your own Because I just give them so much credit for what they did with that story.
I'm not saying it's good. I know people hate it, but I'm just like, at least it's not fucking Doom. Like, it goes its own damn way. No, but Doom was good. It was fun.
Doom was a good time because it was mindless. It's mindless. I'll give you that. Well, the game itself. How are you going to make a freaking movie off of that game?
Like, come on. Same thing with Super Mario Brothers. Like. But that's the thing, yeah, it seems like a stupid idea to make a movie out of it, but at the same time, I look at the world that they created, and I'm just like, the imagination that they put into that weird world, that alternate world that they live in, and the whole city. I think if they had made The Mushroom Kingdom, that would have been awesome.
I would have liked to have seen The Mushroom Kingdom for real, not like... Pseudo New York with the Hammer Brothers tattoo parlor and stuff like oh. In a way it almost needs to be like its own movie like everything that's going on is kind of awesome But you don't even need the Mario Brothers in the middle of it because it's kind of a cool story that you could just have two characters and you know a wormhole opens up and they go to this world and it would be a fun movie and It's. Just the fact that they were trying to product tie in and. Make it a Mario Brothers movie that's kind of the ridiculous, well, the most ridiculous part about it.
Bob Hoskins. And I like Bob Hoskins. John Leguizamo. Yeah, John Leguizamo. Yeah, when you think Italian, you think John Leguizamo.
Yeah, well, and that's what my girlfriend said. She's like, I had the biggest crush on John Leguizamo because of this movie. She's like, I loved him. So goofy. Oh, God, he's so weird.
And his teeth, like how he talks out of the side of his mouth or whatever. Yeah, right in the real world. Yeah. So that was the extent of mine. Well, before we go on to mine, it weirds me out that, like, John Leguizamo used to always get, like, weird guy roles.
But lately he's like. teacher dad yeah I'm like you're John Leguizamo like you can't do normal like this. You can't go from the defilator to yeah responsible parent or whatever. See the thing is I think he can I just wish I almost wish he would stick to the more serious role because when he does silly it's fucking retarded usually every once in a while he turns in something that's funny but usually. It's so clown in the spawn movie. Yeah, the violator to the past.
I want to shoot him for the past. God, it's annoying. Have you not seen the past? Oh, my God. Well, and then he does like Moulin Rouge or whatever.
Yeah, and that one's kind of, he's sort of pushing the edge on that one anyway. What was that movie that was awful but it had Zooey Deschanel? It was an M. Night Shyamalan movie, The Happening. Oh, I didn't see that one.
I've avoided The Happening. Worst movie ever. I didn't see that show. Yeah, once again. But that's the thing.
He was like a teacher in that. Have you ever watched his stand-up? Which I won't even call traditional stand-up. It's just like all those performance art stuff. It really is almost monologue-based, and it's just stories about his life.
And it kind of is... elevated above yeah. Like standard stand-up you know stupid jokes it's like it's actually. Really serious at points and and that is. Like the best thing he's done like i wish he would do more of that stuff because it's so much better than the stupid like slapstick movies he puts. Yeah all right that's just my thoughts on it i agree all.
Right uh well i didn't really do that much uh at one point i watched another tales from the. Crypt episode nice it was. Uh I don't remember the name of the episode, but it had the little person from Poltergeist. Oh, the lady? This house is clean.
Rubenstein. She just died. Yeah, she did die. Yeah, she was in it. What was she doing?
I don't remember. I've probably seen it. I'm sure I've seen it. I don't remember. It was about child psychology and how she had this crazy child.
She called these child psychologists and. You'd have to watch the episode to understand. Okay. But Saturday, I was staying at a friend's house. and her boyfriend turned the TV on, and apparently it was like medieval. Day on sci-fi channels.
Sweet. All right. So we ended up watching this really awful movie about dragons called Fire and Ice. Yes. Oh, it actually comes up later.
But yeah, go ahead. Really? Oh, interesting. Like animated or? No, no, no.
No, the animated was awesome. That's what I was getting at. We're discussing that one in a few minutes. That was for Zeta, right, I think? Yeah.
Yeah. No, this was not animated. It was just a made-for-TV sci-fi movie. Kind of your basic sci-fi movie. I don't have cables, so I.
Don't really get to watch. Is it, like, recent? It may have. Been probably pretty recent. I mean, it couldn't have been more than, like, 10 years old max.
Wow. Maybe I avoided this one on purpose as well. But it was, I don't know. I was still half asleep, so I can't give you... Whether or not it was like the most awesome movie ever, I don't remember it being very good, but that's just me.
But that was pretty much all I did, so I don't have a lot. To talk about. All right. Well, does that round out our geek week? Shortest geek week ever.
All right. Well, I guess we will. Small geek week. Yay. It cuts it back a little without the other half.
Of the curve. Are you drinking milk and Mountain Dew? Yes. Gross. I'm about to mix that shit.
Yeah. Suicide. Like Laverne style. Wait a minute. All right.
On that note, we will take a break and be back with What's the Buzz, baby? Milk and Mountain. Wookiee. Wookiee. Wookiee, Wookiee.
It's a Wookiee coming for you. It's a Wookiee and he's gonna get you. We're delighted to have you with us, and we extend a cordial welcome to you. We've lined up the top stars from Hollywood and from all over the world to entertain you on our giant screen with the new, colorful motion pictures you've been hearing about and reading about. To add to your enjoyment, we're all wound up to bowl you over at intermission time with live wire service at our snack bar, where you'll find a tempting variety of favorite foods and beverages.
Now it's showtime, folks. And you can be sure it's the best show in town. Long ago, in a galaxy far, far away, the Star Wars saga began, and Kenner continues the excitement. Chewbacca's... Marved!
It's C-3PO that you can take apart, and other action figures each sold separately. Take me to Han, Sir Leia, and Princess Leia. What happened? Han, Leia, sneak attack. I'm all in pieces.
What a mess. Put him down, Chewie. How's that, C-3PO? Wonderful. On Solo C-3PO with Backpack and other action figures he sold separately from Kenner Star Wars Return of the Jedi Collection.
Popsyndicate.com Your one stop for all your unhealthy obsessions. Breaking news and in-depth reviews on all of your favorite movies, music, TV shows, podcasts, comics, books. Popsyndicate.com Popsyndicate.com. Hello, this is Peter Mayhew, listening to Movie Mountain Down. All right, we are back with What's the Buzz?
Groovy. What is that buzz? Well, do we want to start out with the big one this week, which I'm not so sure I care near as much about as certain dorks out there. Let's start with the big one. Yeah, the one that's all over the internet at this point is Megan Fox is off of Transformers 3.
Oh, so, I mean, I know that pretty much they hated her. Yeah, they kind of hated each other. Yeah, she was caught basically, like, calling him out or whatever. Well, she was pretty blatant about it. Yeah.
I mean, caught nothing. She was, like, saying it to a reporter. Oh, nice. What did she say? She made a lot of accusations.
The one that they talk about on here is that she compared him to Hitler and said he wanted to be Hitler on his set and basically was. So, yeah, that's probably not a good idea, too, T. No, no, no. She wasn't really. She wasn't famous before the Terminator.
Transformer. Transformer. We were watching Terminator earlier. Let me clarify. I'm not that retarded.
But, uh. But, yeah. Yeah, she wasn't anybody before those movies. No. So, you know, it's just like your first big job.
I mean, I can understand if the guy's a dick, but don't lie. Well, he's just. He has in his mind, this is what he wants, and he's going to get it, and you're going to be on board or you're not going to be on board. You know, kind of, you know, like you're rolling with the punches or get. Off my fucking set.
Yeah. And I can understand that. You're the director. You kind of have that say. And....
His movies look good. His movies make a ton of money. And they make a ton of money. I don't like them, but they make it. I can't argue with the fact that he knows how to work the system and make money.
And I've heard that he's a tyrant on set. And he admits it. He knows. Because he's like. we you know we're gonna get the shot we're gonna do it my way or it's you know the highway so. Everything that's mentioned here of him just being a tyrant on set you know that's that's okay the one that i heard when it first broke though that they don't even mention in the story this week was how like in the beginning like for the before the first movie i guess when she was still like a struggling actress and was trying to get this big break of hers he had her come out to his house and put on a bikini, washed his cars, and he took photos.
You are lying to me. What a perv. Are you kidding me? This is all alleged as far as I'm concerned. I don't know.
I wasn't there. Until I see shit on the internet or whatever. But this was her story. This was what she told people. Now, she also seems like a crazy bitch.
Yeah. I can see her making or embellishing a little bit. Yeah. So, I mean, but if nothing else, she did feel like he was being kind of a perv, and she was being very sexualized, which. Granted, most men in America do that, too.
Well, yeah, look at you. You think you'd be used to it. Oh, yeah, that, too. Well, you know, I used to think she was, I mean, I think she's really pretty, certain photos and certain movies and stuff like that, unless you get really close to her face, because she does not have good skin. But something I learned about her from someone, someone told me she has a clubbed thumb.
Oh, yeah. Which is. awesome oh no no. I've never seen it but it's just funny like. It's gross yeah no see. She also has really fat calves to.
Be so thin see she is yeah she's the opposite end of the spectrum now the the report of who might be taking her place now she's awesome in that same freaky way Only the good version of it. Okay. See, Megan Fox has the toe thumbs, which we've made fun of continually on this show. Gross. So yeah, don't like her.
What they're saying who may take her place is that Gemma Arterton that was in Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia, she's becoming kind. Of the new it girl all of a sudden. So she's awesome. And I brought this up a while ago, but if you hadn't heard that episode, yeah, she's awesome because she was born with six fingers on her hands. Both hands when she was...
Yeah, when she was born, six fingers on each hand. So does Michael Bay have a fetish for girls with fucked up hands? I don't know. Yeah, really. But let me tell you, I like the Gemma girl anyway.
She's super cute. But when I found out she was born a freak. God, that's so much hotter. So much hotter. Wait, so did she have them removed?
Yeah. Does she have them? She just has spoke. That'd be awesome. That'd be awesome, actually.
That's totally grouty. Yeah. I would be behind that, but they weren't functional. Like, they didn't have bones in them. They were just like floppy.
Yeah, they were just there. Get rid of those. So the doctors took them off when she was born. But the fact that she was born with six fingers on each hand makes her so fucking hot to me. What a weird coincidence, though.
That is awesome. I mean. So, yeah. I'll take Gemma any day over Megan Fox. Fuck all that.
Can that be the name of this episode? like club thumbs and six. Fingers or something floppy fingers and toe thumbs well that kind of sucks because i was hoping that it was going to go the way that like they would be shooting the movie and then they would have to kill her off or something because i really wanted to see like a death scene because i oh i can't stand her character ever since she was like What if you had to sacrifice anything in your perfect little life, Sam? And it's like, look, bitch, I never said my life was perfect. Like, what are you talking about? She needed to be smacked in Transformers 1.
I've never really watched that movie, but it was on once at my gym in the cardio theater. So I caught a little bit of it, but. uh well that's yeah i mean they still even after their big thing like that was what this past like six months or so ago and they supposedly taken care of all that and michael bay was like oh it's okay you know we'll put it all behind us come back no robots will harm you during the shooting of this movie. How did she fucking piss on this paycheck. All of a sudden he like he and the studio suddenly changed their minds mind this week now of course her people say she doesn't want to be in it She made the call, according to her people. Michael Bay and the studio both said, no, we cut her loose this week.
They're rewriting. They're quickly rewriting. Shia's still in it, obviously. He knows better. He's not going to screw things up.
This is his only paycheck at this point. He was in everything for like a minute. For that first movie, by the time we hit two, he was over with. Nobody cared about him. He's going to be JTT of the future.
I don't think that it's going to take that long for them to rewrite her part in the movie because it's probably mindless anyways. They're just finding a way for her to be gone and him to pick up some new loving. So that's really all they have to do. Go, Sam, go. And then run and avoid explosions.
That's really the only thing going on in these movies for humans. Yell his name a few times. God, they need to just cut the fucking human element out altogether. I'm just going to go watch the animated show. Yeah, really?
Fuck it. All right. Well, okay. Big news. That was good.
That's a good big buzz. Definitely. Well, actually, I'm like the least interested person in Megan Fox. She's annoying to me. No, I can't stand her.
But yeah, bring Jim on because that might make me want to see a Transformer movie. I haven't been real thrilled in a long time. Yeah, no. Oh, so next up, this goes back to what we sort of mentioned earlier. The fantasy and science fiction artist Frank Frazetta just died May 10th.
Oh, he did? Oh, yeah. I didn't know if you heard that. Damn, I didn't realize that. Yep, that was just this past two weeks ago.
What? So, but all this was as the final pieces were putting together concerning one of his biggest creations, more or less. What? He was mostly known for his artwork, and it all ended up on novel covers and album covers. But he also, at one point, worked with animator Ralph Baschke on Fire and Ice, the fantastic rotoscope animation movie that was attempting to bring his artwork to life.
It was all right. It's one of those that was yeah and it was it was on the list too of man sooner or later we need to watch that yeah definitely so now maybe we really need to because now director robert rodriguez who was supposed to be here for wonderfest last week and didn't show up i'm not sure what his deal was but. His kids probably yeah he's got. 40 or 50 yeah i've lost track it's quite a few i know he's got a big family he's got a clan But yeah, he has announced that his Troublemaker Studios has finally, has finalized acquisition of the rights to make a new live action version of Fire and Ice. Hmm.
So that seems interesting. Live action. Because I'm almost thinking he sees how much Conan's going to. Fail and is like, well, let's do a good movie with, you know, swashbuckling and swordplay and, you know. Barbarian.
Barbarian kind of world. Yeah. So, I mean, I almost, because I see that coming. I mean, we've done nothing but find horrible things about, you know, the new Conan movie as it goes on. So maybe he's planning to be like, okay, I'm going to come through when that one sucks.
I'm going to give you the backup and save the day with a good movie. who knows i don't know he's he delivers such back and forth. Yeah projects work yeah. So yeah they're planning on it utilizing a green screen filmmaking and cgi similar to sim city so the first half of that i didn't like but sim city actually looks good so if they can find a way to to almost like play on the fire and ice rotoscope look yeah and make it like a live action version of that that That would be kind of cool, actually. Well, I can kind of see that. If they want to try and keep Frazetta's art style in there, they may be able to throw some...
Kind of like filter or whatever and kind of CG it enough to where you can see Frazetta's style. Because the original cartoon, and I saw it a long time ago, it was good because you could kind of tell Frazetta's hands were on it. You could see that in there. But live action, yeah, I'm not sure how they're going to do that. Again, if it were just going to anybody, but I know, like, Rodriguez is not consistent, but when he really, like, gets into something, like, he's such a geek, and that's what I like about him.
He does seem very similar to his fans. It's like he's not just like fucking Michael Bay that you have nothing in common with. He seems like he's such a geek, which is why he was supposed to come to Wonderfest is he wanted to come and, like, buy vinyl models. He's that big a geek. Awesome.
So, yeah, it's like he seems like he's got that kind of, attachment to projects that you know when he really gets into them he might actually be able to put a lot of time and effort into it and make it something cool. Oh poor frisetta that sucks he was old as hell though jesus christ. Rest in peace so yeah we will have to see what happens with that one cool Oh, let's see. Now, this one and the next two sort of tie into a bigger question that I guess I'll get to. But first off, we'll start with making fun of McGee because that's pretty easy at this point.
A few months back, Disney scrapped plans for the McGee new adaption of Jules Verne's novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Hmm. Which I think we actually covered that when it happened, and we're like, good, because Mitchie's kind of a dork. Well, he's a tool, but I don't know. Sometimes he can be fun.
Again, it's been a long time. When he crossed over and did Charlie's Angels, I mean, it's retarded, but it's at least fun. But by the time he tried to get serious and deliver this big. Terminator movie, what the hell happened? Yeah, so...
I don't know. He's a weird one. But this is, again, a very strange direction they're going. The studio has hired a very different kind of director to take on the project, and it is David Fincher. Really?
Who every week it seems like he picks up a new project, so I don't know how he's going to have time to crank all these things out. I like Fincher. I like Fincher a lot. I really like Fincher, but again, this is like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He's out on the sea and under the sea, and I'm like.
I don't know, I guess if it's submarine-oriented, it gets a little more into his visual style. Yeah, if it's out like. I can see it being cool. Yeah, definitely. I mean, he's one of the most talented filmmakers working today, so it's like giving him anything at this point is going to be interesting, but I don't know.
It's a different type of movie for him, too. I don't know if he's going to... steer clear of the family aspect of it, because, I mean, it, you know, originally was a Disney project, so it's like if he's gonna go more of his dark, twisted version, but... They say it is going to be, let's see, where is it? Yeah, unlike the McG project, this version is supposed to be more faithful to the novel and not go into a weird prequel like they were trying to do with McG and go into the Captain Nemo story. Well, it would be cool in and of itself, kind.
Of, but... It would, but I guess, I don't know, it depends on how you're trying to market it. I want more of the Nautilus. Yeah, so. But what's weird is after they broke that story, it's also reported that 20th Century Fox has a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea project going too.
But this version is set in the future. What? Fox's version is being produced by Ridley and Tony Scott, who like to crank out these weird projects now. And they're talking to the Timber guy that did Wanted as potentially director for this. But yeah, they're in development.
Their futuristic version of it is... In space? Yeah, I guess. Which, I mean, they keep doing that. 20,000 light years?
Yeah. They've done many of the old school stories and then set it in space. I think I would really love a 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea movie if they did the scenery just right. Because the way I'd imagine it It would look like, you know, City of Lost Children or something. Like, a kind of, like, steampunk look to everything, you know, like, old and, like.
Which is what I'm thinking, giving it to Fincher. That would be amazing. Like, those fit. Like, that version, especially if it is, like, most of it takes place on the submarine, you know, and it's all, like, undersea in this weird metal environment. Like, that definitely, like, ties into his old style.
Maybe not the last movie or two, but, I mean, he's definitely... got. His roots in that. So I really, really, it reminds me most. Of like alien three, like the whole look of that planet is very close to what we're talking about here. So hopefully, I mean, he can at least draw on those visuals.
Maybe story can go a little different, but yeah, that ties to this next one, which will make me ask a different question. Um, so this one is a director, Paul Greengrass, who's done the Bourne movies, uh, is recently reported in being taught in talks. with James Cameron about directing the 3D remake of Fantastic Voyage, but he has decided to drop out of that and focus on a stylized adaption of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic pirate novel, Treasure Island. The new take on the classic tale of Jim Hawkins, blah, blah, blah. So, I mean, basically it just makes me ask, do people care about these projects? I mean, they're going with a lot of, like, old-school novels, family-friendly features that... it does make me wonder, are they going to keep it that family friendly?
Cause you know, treasure Island's one of those, they make. You read in school. It's like, it's very geared towards like kids, at least in the way it's been treated in the last, you know, 50 years. In the school system. I really think what all these movies are going for is kind of like a pirates of the Caribbean kind of thing, like in a family adventure, you know?
That's what I was thinking. I was like, they're kind of tapping into that, but at the same time, have we passed that window? I'm like, the first one was cool. Nobody really liked the next two, and they, I guess, made money, but it's not like people love them. I like the Pirates movie. i really especially when it got to the third one i didn't think i was gonna like it as much as i did and i still haven't even watched i was totally jazzed i was like this is all because it was good it was perfect entertainment like it was entertaining the ideas i thought were cool the look of it is really cool especially because um what was his name uh davy jones or whatever but he was basically cthulhu so yeah that's always cool but yeah i think we're kind of over that that's like.
I mean they're still working on the fourth one so i don't even know like to me i was wondering if that's gonna tank especially since now they don't even have the director on board but they're bringing johnny. Back and but definitely i would like to see kind of like if there's going to be a reassurance i would like to see the old classics set in space, steampunk style. I think that would be cool. Like, if they're going to do something or go somewhere, I think that would be... I'd be on board for that.
I think two of these three are going traditional, though. You know, they're going to be out on. Well, especially Treasure Island's going to be out on the seas, and, you know, so, I mean, it's like, is that... That's, again, a weird move for Greengrass to be doing a big Treasure Island movie. I don't know.
Not that you can't do it. Treasure Planet? I mean, come on. There we go. I don't know.
Who knows? Actually, didn't they do that? What was that animated thing that came out years ago? Yeah, what was that? Wasn't it like Treasure Planet or something?
It basically was. It's like they took Treasure Island and set it in space. Yeah. I don't even remember. I don't even think I saw it.
What the hell was that thing called? I don't know. I mean. I just don't want them to fuck up the scenery. The scenery will make or break a movie for me.
I really like those dreamlike scenes, especially when it comes to old novels and things like that. That you read. I want it to have that dreamlike quality. Not even dreamlike, but just a good set. Yeah.
Yeah. I mean, it should have the visual style to match, you know, the weight of this kind of project and just the mood of it. Yeah. The original, I thought the original 20,000 Leagues looked really good. So.
But it's. Just, like, lately they just fuck stuff up, you know, like. Tell me about it. The CGI and, you know, it's just, like. It's a cop-out.
I used to look forward to the scenery in Tim Burton movies and now it's just awful. Yeah. You know, like, I mean, the first... Willy Wonka, which I know it wasn't exactly a remake. It was kind of like a different version, but whatever.
But like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, the scenery was amazing. Tim Burton fucked the shit out of that. Oh, he did. Terrible. And it just seems like every movie where you think like, even if this movie is awful, the scenery and the costumes are going to be amazing.
They're not. They fuck it up. That was my main complaint with the new Terry Gilliams. Movie too i mean he's one that was known for those visuals and no and it starts off pretty good like the stuff in the real world but when they switch to that crazy fantasy world that's going on in it it's mostly cgi and it's like you lose all those physical effects he used to do and he was so good at delivering that stuff and yeah i just wish they would realize how important that like physical element. Is exactly like you lose all of that aesthetic when you just kind of Like I said, I think it is a cop-out.
You know, you just go for CGI because nowadays it's so much easier. And I think it's even getting to the point where it's a lot cheaper. It is. I mean, it's got to be cheaper at this point because, you know, physically building all that stuff versus go stand in front of that green screen. And you pay one animator or whoever, you know, however much it takes.
It can't be the same. As the set building, you know. So, yeah. That's what we're coming to, but I'm hoping, yeah, they realize that's not really. The best way to go aesthetically, artistically.
Yeah, I mean, that seems fine when you're, you know, whatever director, but yeah, when you're a big name director, it's like, come on. Especially when you're known for those kind of visuals. Well, yeah, I mean, is your heart even in it anymore? Are you getting tired of your own, you know, whatever? Yeah, I mean, you're Tim Burton, you're Terry Gilliam, you're known for those visuals.
So to just turn it over to some animator and go, yeah, something like I used to. Do 20 years ago. That's just lazy, if nothing else. I'm sad for that. So yeah, it was 2002 Treasure Planet.
So we weren't totally made up. And it was actually Disney. I forgot it was Disney. Really? Was it DreamWorks?
Yeah. Disney made. I'll be damned. I'll be damned. I'll be damned.
Damn me. Oh, Lord. Have you played Heavy Rain? I have not played Heavy Rain, but it looks really freaking awesome. Why?
Oh, they were making a. They're signed on to try to make a movie of it, but I hadn't played it, so I was like, I didn't know the visuals. I know enough that that is ridiculous because the game itself is like a movie that you're playing. Yeah. Because it is so set up non-traditionally to where...
Yeah, it's like you are just playing a movie, you know? Then they're going to make a movie off of that? Yeah. Stupid. I don't know.
It's such a fine line, making video game movies, especially as the video games get closer to movies. To movies, yeah. It's really hard to decide what's going to work better. Sometimes maybe you should just realize, I'm going to make a really cool video game and not bother with the movie. Bother with the movie.
Like, you know, I could. And I'm still waiting because I am a video game geek also. I'm still waiting for the Halo movie to be realized and come out. It will be cool. Yeah.
I can see a God of War movie being really awesome and making money. And what's the other one? Like. I mean, I am excited for the new Resident Evil movie coming out because that looks like the most ridiculous of all of them. But it looks entertaining.
That was one of the few video games, at least the first one, the second one. I like the third one more than I expected. I like all three of them. I mean, they were awful, but I was surprised. That was a pretty good movie i mean there's so much story in that video.
Yeah god yeah i mean more backstory than most movies have exactly. What's what's that other one that's about zombies that they made a movie of and it was house of the dead no that one's horrible there's another one it was like about a town and a little. Paradise sea or no what's the other one um rhythm shit What is that one? Silent Hill. Yeah, Silent Hill.
Silent Hill was awesome. Well, I've heard the visuals are really cool and then the story is crap. Yeah, the video game is kind of the same way. The story itself is like, hmm, it's kind of doesn't really have, it's not solid. It's kind of really, hmm, uh. dream-like in and of itself but like the atmosphere is the big thing about silent hill that like draws you in and the movie captured enough of that to where it's just like yes yes yes i don't give a shit about the story or whatever but the visuals and like you know the atmosphere was there and so i'd still like to see a two you know if they were going to do a silent hill two It would.
Have at least visuals to work with and then write a decent story. And I love Radha Mitchell. Love, love, love, love, love. Radha Mitchell. And she was a girl in Silent Hill and Pitch Black.
Yeah, that's right. And the movie Rogue about the giant alligator, which is awesome. All right. You know what? You love it.
It's time for the remake of the week. Haven't we been talking about remakes? Well, we always talk about them. But this was the only. I mean, everything else was just redoing old properties.
These are all making novels that people haven't read. That reminds me, speaking of the old things, I saw a long time ago that they were making a picture of Dorian Gray, and I haven't seen anything about that in a long time. Have you heard anything about that? No, I know they're still working on it. I think I even saw like a teaser trailer for it.
That's one of the things that's like one of my favorite stories of all times. And that's one of the things that I think could be like amazing visually if they got. The right people. Yeah. I'm surprised they didn't give that to Tim Burton, actually.
Thankfully, really. I know, I'm glad. He would have screwed it up. I kind of just want him to stop. Yeah.
Just retire. Just take a breather. Just pick another direction. Do something totally different without that style, without your cheesy falling back on CGI at this point. Just.
Maybe if he. Just stops doing Disney movies or something, maybe? Maybe if he just does something dark and weird. Maybe he is hamstrung because of the contract he has with Disney. Yeah, probably.
He needs to stop. Yes. So now this one, and usually we get in trouble for being down on the remakes. And this one, and that's kind of why I threw this one in, because I think we usually complain about it for several reasons, most of which is half the time it just doesn't need one. Here's a property that probably needs a reboot.
Gidget. The popular teen female character from the late 50s and 60s. That one needs a remake. Yeah. It's from a 1957 novel.
I didn't even realize it was that old. She's Gidget, the little girl with big ideas. And yeah, the premise of Gidget, she's an all-American girl and she's crazy about the new hot fads of the time, surfing, beach boys, whatever the hell it was at the time. So, now, thanks to a collaboration between the producers of Forever Plaid and, wait, the producer of Letters to Juliet and Piranha 3D. Is that an odd combination or is that just me?
But yes, now Gidget is in line to be revived as both a feature film and. A new TV series. Gidget! What? So.
What? And TV series. Some old guy was like, Dude, I remember Gidget from when I was a kid. She was hot. Let's do that.
Let's do that. No, see, now I have a whole thing on this one. But here's the thing. Producer Mark Canton describes the appeal of Gidget this way. With female surfing exploding across the globe, the time is right to bring her back in a major way.
Female surfing is exploding across the globe? Yeah, I was like, wasn't Blue Crush 2002? Seriously. So this is like Blue Crush for Twilight Girls? Now?
Is that what we're trying to tap into the new market with surfing girls? Oh, God. But that's what I don't understand is why, if they're going to go that way, if they're going to go the stupid way. Because then, and once again, we usually just bitch about things blankly. I'm going to give this way more thought than it probably needs or anyone in fucking Hollywood has.
If you're going to do this, don't do it the stupid way like they always do. Give it to somebody who knows what they're doing. And especially since it's such a fad-oriented thing. And it centers around a girl and pop culture, basically. Give it to somebody who knows that and knows what they're doing.
People who did High School Musical is what I'm thinking. Sadly, I was thinking better written, though. I was like, give it to Amy Sherman, who did Gilmore Girls, or give it to Rob Thomas, who did my newfound obsession with Veronica Mars. Both of these are projects that are really tied to pop culture, but they weave it into the story so that it's not really jamming it down your throat. The Gilmore Girls got pretty bad towards the end.
But in the beginning, both of those were really just well done, well written, and put together, but they were very current. They were very of the time period they're in, but without being cheesy about it. For some reason, I'm imagining this movie feeling a lot like Spice World. Yeah, well, unfortunately. I actually had to be better off with that.
I'm afraid what they're going to do with it is they're going to go the, again, they're trying to cash in on the young girl market, which is Twilight. So I'm afraid they're going to go with another vapid young girl. Don't give us another blank canvas that Bella is that has nothing to offer. It's like, this is something centering around a young girl. Why not give us an intelligent young girl?
It's like, why not write it? So that she actually has something to say and is not an idiot. Well, yeah, that has personality that is kind of layered like young girls are. You know, like, come on, give us something. I mean, there's a way to do this.
And that's why, I mean, it's sad that we're going to the TV writers, but it's like they knew what they were doing. And both of those projects were good. There's probably several other ones out there. I'm afraid it's going to be more of like... a fucking gossip girl or it's gonna be like one of those other. Like girls not bad though yeah but it's it.
Falls into that category of putting the the pretty people up there and they don't really seem like they're investing too much into individual characters but the storyline of romance i. Used to watch gossip girl like when it first came out and i don't i've only seen a few episodes but the characters are pretty well developed they'll have like serious backstories and stuff like. Again that's all from the books i guess i haven't yeah bothered with them but I mean I know there was a lot of back material that they could draw from but just in general they also like any of those shows on UPN or what used to be WB kind of shows that were like they would work to work in whatever the band of the week was that sponsored them that week or they would be working in whatever trendy thing was going on that week that somebody had like donated money to them to get it worked into the plot line like i'm afraid they're gonna go that route and it's gonna be like 90210 is now you know it's just like yeah one tree hill became that crap that i'm afraid that's what they're gonna do with it because they're gonna try to be like appealing to that market so they're just gonna make it stupid and whatever they can slap on the screen that will, you know, get them money to back it and we'll get it out there and the kids will think it's cool and trendy and bullshit.
You know, I'm just like, if you're gonna write something, and that's why I brought this one up. It's like, this is a property that's old. You know, it needs new life breathed into it. So if you're gonna do it, do it right. Do it, you know, make her a smart girl and give her something to do.
Don't just make it something stupid. That's a way for you to just promote whatever the product of the week is. I just really don't see that's working at all. Not even close. So I don't.
Really think it matters. Do they have anybody set up to play her yet? No, they're just at the point of starting to write it. But that's, I mean, that was my thing. And that's kind of why I wanted to throw it out there.
I was like, it's just, we usually bitch about them, you know, just generally making remakes. And I'm like, there's times when things need to be remade that, that, It's not sacrilege to go back when it's been long enough that it really is a different idea. It's a different world than it was when this came out and you can do something different with it. It's just when they do like me bitching about the fucking movie last week where they basically took sort of an idea and just slapped new people in there. And that's what I'm afraid of.
That was a bunch of these stupid little vapid characters that like had nothing to do and drove around in their fancy cars the whole time. And like in the end, there was nothing to it. Like there was no character. There was no people at all. It was just they filled in the little spots and, you know, did play their part and.
I don't know. I'm afraid that's what they'll end up doing with this because they're so busy trying to be trendy with it. God. I don't know. We shall see.
Speaking of Gossip Girl, Brian, I think you should just watch a couple episodes of it. Not because I think you'd be super into it, but I really think you'd like Blair Waldorf's character. She is so evil and devious and adorable. Well, I do like that. She always wears bows in her hair and keep dresses and stuff, which is why I watched the show in the first place.
And you like hot young girls, but that hasn't sold me so far. No, you'd like it because she's really evil. All right. Well, continuing on into our Wookiee Fest here, we will move into the interview portion. And I did actually sit down and talk to Peter Mayhew.
And this was actually impressive for the show in general because I was at this place with him. And, like, later on in. The weekend, I was talking to a guy who worked for, it was either Chicago Tribune or Chicago Sun-Times. And he was trying to get an interview, and he turned him down. Ooh, that's right.
And yet, I got it. He did not turn us down. Yeah. Movie Mouth Down is awesome. I'm just saying.
And you don't want to argue with Peter Mayhew because he could crush you. His hands are the size of this table. He'll palm your head. Yeah, his hands are huge. It's just weird.
So yeah, you don't argue with Peter Mayhew. I just thought it was awesome that we actually did get to talk to him. And that's sort of what leads us to the movie of the week. That's what I was going into is usually we'll pull stuff and we'll talk to these people. And I, you know, there comes a point where you've got to ask them about the big titles.
But with most people, like even when I talked to Billy Dee Williams, I was like, okay, everybody asked you about being fucking Lando. I want to ask you about, you know, blaxploitation movies you made, you know, 10, 15 years before that. So I think I like to just find other things that people haven't beat to death. So I mean, we talk a little bit about Star Wars, but I was trying to go back and find something else. Peter Mayhew is not really an actor.
He came into it way late in the game. He basically sort of got cast, I think, because he fit the role. He fit the physical thing that they. Were looking for. So there's not really a whole lot to draw on in his career.
There's one other notable thing that we talk about. He's in Sinbad and the Eye of the Golden Tiger, I think. He's the minotaur in that, in the big outfit. Makes sense. So that was one, and I'd be up for watching that.
Oh, yes, definitely. But yeah, other than that, there's not a whole lot to go with in this one. So we'll get to his other big film role later today. For now, we'll see what Peter has to say about his acting career in general. So, here you go.
So, we're here with Peter. You were born in Barnes, England. Did you have an interest in performing when you were younger? No. I just wanted, you know, I had no interest in theatricals or the performing arts, up until.
You know, sort of, I was quite old, and just the opportunity just came. Along, so. Yeah, you were, I guess, I think like an orderly at that point. And had somebody just ask you to be it? They were looking for someone big for Sinbad Miata Tiger.
I just happened to fit the bill, did that, that led to meeting other people, Star Wars came along after that, you know, and it. Was a gradual procession. To, you know, went up, got the interview, thank you very much, and the rest of it's history. What was the cost here for the Minnesota War? How hard was that to wear?
That was fiberglass. It had about 60 inches, so it was big. I figured that if you could deal. With that, you could deal with almost anything. Anybody could throw at you, so you just went, okay, I can do this, I can do this, and progressed along easily, no problems.
And that's how, as I say, that's how it all got started. And then as you got into Star Wars, they kind of let you pick whether you wanted to be Vader or Chewbacca? No. No. That's...
I. Dave Rouse, who now plays Vader, was offered the choice of either Vader or Chewie. Ah. And he chose Vader because he didn't want to. Become a masked character.
Look what happened to him. So they were looking around. I get this call. Go up, look at the character, think, yes, that's a challenge because you try and turn it from a one-dimensional character into a three-dimensional character. If you can do that, you can do anything.
And I think I've just... proved that it doesn't. Take that much to do, if the costume's right and your attitude's right, you can do almost anything. Yeah, you definitely. Found a good way to express yourself clearly. Exactly, exactly.
When we were talking, I figured the only thing you can't do is talk humanly. I figured, right, this is going to be a month. It's logical. And look, we did it. I thought, well, you know, they will tell me if I'm doing anything wrong.
Nobody said a word. End of story. Last shots were done. Nobody had said anything. I'm just waiting there.
Okay. Done. Down the road. And wait for the next one. Yep.
So, as I said, it was one of those things. I was very, very relieved when I got a phone call with Planning Empire. And, you know, your character's still alive. we need you thank you very much went back just had a ball i knew because i knew the character i knew what he could do what he couldn't do what we should do because by this time you've got you've got a lot of comments from the fans through. The first Yeah, yeah, exactly. Which I hadn't intended to do.
Yeah. But it was done. Yeah, we did it. And he's become one of those interesting characters that. People from 9 to 90 enjoy.
So it's, as I say, one of those crazy things, but it works. Yeah, definitely. And then you came back to play it for Revenge of the Sith. What was it like getting back into the costume 20-some years later? No problem.
Yeah? Yeah. I knew. I think if you're mentally prepared for yourself, that you know that costume, you know that, you literally know the. Costume inside out.
And it was a question of, right, okay, I've done this once, I can do it again. And we had a great bunch, I think it was all the, with Hayden and Ewan and Natalie, were all raised in Star Wars. You know, Sam Jackson was there and we just had a ball. It was nice to. Go back and be part, you know, not be the new shoot as I had.
Been in the original. The early thing. Knowing what you could, knowing what. Was expected of the character, we just got in, got on, did it, and hopefully it was in the right order and the right way. I'd say so.
I think we've done more. Was there any other upcoming projects you've got going? Well, we did a movie about 18 months, two years ago that we found has just been got a distributor. It's already made. It's all ready to go.
That's one of our projects. It should be out in cinemas soon. I don't know, maybe this year, maybe. The next year. All right.
Okay, thank you very much. Peter, I miss you. So yeah, we did want to thank Peter for sitting down to talk to us, and here, he can tell you where to get a hold of him. You can contact me on my own website. P-W-M-A-Q at A-O-O dot com.
So yeah, that is Peter. He was, I'm telling you, he was eating M & M' s and they looked like sixlets. Yeah, they were just like teeny little peas. They were. He was sitting there eating M & M' s and it was just like.
Sixlets and M & M' s are not that different. Well, these were peanut M & M' s. Yeah, they were big ones and they looked like little... It was creepy. Yeah.
Oh, man. But he's an interesting guy, and he was nice enough that he put up with me, and that's pretty awesome, actually. Good for him. And we will come back to watch one of his major, major films in his career, Terror. So, yeah, if nothing else, you know.
Ah. Yeah, I wanted to set it up because, yeah, like I said, there's not a whole lot in his back catalog. So, yeah, I think you guys will be interested to see what it is, his big role in this movie is the starring vehicle for Peter Mayhew. So we'll invite you to come back and join us for part two when we sit down in the sofa theater and watch Terror. Please come back.
Please. Come back and join us. Mm-hmm. My hands feel really dirty. That sounds like a personal problem to me.
