We're doomed! It's time for Movie Meltdown's Attack of the Killers soundtrack. The live transmission has begun, and we're into the final hour of hell. What's up, and welcome to Movie Meltdown's Attack of the Killers soundtrack. I'm Brian, and this week we are joined by not one, but five special guests.

That's right, this week I sit down with the Dead Deads. Comprised of Billy Dead, Betty Dead, Hella Dead, Meta Dead, and Daisy Dead, these five came from three previous bands to form one supergroup based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Now, as far as their sound, well, that was one of my favorite parts when I first heard them. They didn't really fit a specific little subgenre. There were a lot of different things, but most important in that process, they created their own sound.

Now, on their own social media, there's a portion that describes them as a metal rock punk dance party. And it also mentions that they sound like a well-organized genre explosion in Drop D. And actually, I think we should just leave it at that and let them and their music speak for itself. So let's do that now as we head to the venue and talk to the band just before they go on stage for. Their performance that night.

So All right, so we are here with the Dead Deads. I guess we have to, I guess, first introduce yourselves individually. Okay, I will begin. I am Meta Dead. I do lead vocals and play guitar in the band.

I am Hella Dead, and I do vocals and keys. I'm Billy Dead. I do vocals and I drum. All right, so to get the Business out of the way. I'm sure you've never answered the obligatory how'd the band come together question before.

What? I'm not even prepared for that. I have no memory of getting together with these gals. You showed up tonight. I don't know who they are.

A big shot paid us each $ 1 million to be in this super group. You've really never seen each other. You just all ended up here with the same makeup? Yeah, we're just fans of the band that we don't even know. We saw Miley Cyrus do it and we're like, cute.

Good role model. No, she did it after us. She did. That's true. She copied us.

She's kind of a hack. I like, I like old Miley. Her Instagram is hilarious. She's pretty punky. I admire the fact that she does not care what she does.

I admire that as well. Now she's not the most original in the way she goes about some of it, but she does not care. She's original with her Instagram pizza pictures. That's everyone at this point. I'm a fan of pizza.

She's the only punk rock artist that's a millionaire. That's, I think what we've realized now is whether you're a multimillionaire or just some idiot at the pizza shop, all of our Instagrams are not really that far off. No, it's all cats and dogs and food. And that's all we have. We are one.

We are one. So, so meta. So do you, whatever you'd really like to put out there or make up a better story of the origin. We, uh, we've been together playing, uh, about a year and a half. And, uh, Two of the members are kind of relatively from the Louisville area.

And three of the members are, you know, from Tennessee. And we just all hooked up and started jamming together as just kind of like a girls club. No plans on anything. Supposed to be just for funsies. And then people were like, what are you guys doing?

And so we played a show and I told all the girls, hey, if nobody likes it, don't get your feelings hurt. And then that didn't. Everybody liked it, so we kept doing it. That's a good reason to keep doing it. Yeah.

No one hates us. I guess if nothing else, we should probably give them a good idea of what it sounds like. Yeah, totally. So what would be a good song just to intro them to the band? I think Rainbow is a nice song to intro people on because it's a little more on the quirky side of what we do, but it's nice and short, so if you hate it, it's over fast.

It also has no cursing. And I scream about stuff, and it's cute. Wait, we needed one that had cursing for this particular. No, you'll just have to fill in in between songs. Just everybody yell fuck anytime I'm not singing.

It's an add your own curse song. Mad Libs song. Just curse whenever I'm not singing, and there you go. It's like this all day long, isn't it? Everywhere you go, she's just cursing.

People just curse at us. Just don't leave any blank space or someone's going to curse. Yeah. Yeah. Let us run!

Thank you. I love you. All right. So do you want to do influences or are we sick of those two? No, I'm not sick of anything.

What are the stuff. That you love? That's always a better version. The stuff we love? We love life.

Just music and life. Long walks on the beach. Live, laugh, love, guys. Hashtag truly blessed. Uh, influences.

Well, um, this is Billy dead. And since I like to beat the shit out of the drums, one of my influences would be Taylor Hawkins. Probably my main influence for sure. She smiles big like him when she plays. It's super cute.

He and I have good teeth, so we like to share it. I feel like Elvis should be one of your influences because you do the Elvis mouth. I think that's more of a Billy Idol mouth. That's a Billy Idol mouth. That's the name Billy Dead.

I would like to correct. Hello. I feel like maybe you resemble him a little bit. I look like his daughter. Our drama looks like Elvis.

There's nothing wrong with that. Thank you. You look like Elvis' daughter because you look like Priscilla. Thank you very much. Much.

Yeah, I kind of look... There we go. We have Elvis' daughter in our band. So I'm of the Presley bloodline, now that you know. So someday you'll be buried in the backyard.

Is what you're doing. Yeah, cool. Yeah, cool. It's a nice place. I think our band has a lot of different influences.

There's some metal, there's some grunge, punk. But it's very different from girl to girl, like very different. So it's always funny when people ask that question because we're just like, you know, everything from Celine Dion to Meshuggah. It's all there. Who in the band likes Celine?

I'm going to kick their ass. Well, this brings to light that we're going to be talking about film here. And I've never brought up one of my influences, which I believe is pretty strong. All right. Which is also a film influence is Spinal Tap.

So definitely a. Key moment for a lot of musicians. Film lovers alike. Film lovers alike. I feel like our entire career will.

Follow that movie forever. Along its course. And Tenacious D, I never mentioned before, but that's... What's my problem? I like all the funny shit.

Because you're hilarious. I have found out today that Hela is hilarious, especially when she doesn't get any sleep. Yeah, we are very sleep-deprived, and she has been quite the entertaining little chimp. When I was little, I just decided, oh, if people are running on nothing, they're either going to be. A dick or hilarious?

And I chose hilarious. I don't even know if you get to choose. You may be predestined to be one or the other. If I could choose, I would get hilarious. She's pointing for a dick at herself.

I'm a dick and she's hilarious. Self-aware. That's a good step. I'm a hilarious dick. She's a hilarious dick.

I'm sarcastic and dry, so I'm kind of automatically like a dick. That's Betty Dead. That's Betty Dead. That's Betty Dead. She just joined us.

I just showed up. Because I'm a dick. She puts his guitar in the bathroom. So you just wait until they say. Their ridiculous things, and then you make snarky comments about it.

I'm like that person, and it's awesome. Mystery Science Theater 3000. You're welcome. Oh, my God. I love it.

We haven't started talking. We need to start doing it. I busted it at the film theater. There you go, Dick. Way to go, Dick.

I'm always up for rolling into the movies. We're talking about our influences. I'm also very random, and you're welcome. Her music inspiration is Crow T. Robot.

In the not-too-distant future, next Sunday, A.D., There. Was a guy named Joe, not too different from you or me. He worked at the spying institute, just another. Face in a red jumpsuit. He did a good.

Job cleaning up the. Place, but he lost it like a footage out of space. It's just a cheesy movie. Because he used those special parts To make his robot friends. Robot, roll call, cam bot, gypsy, top.

Servo, pro. If you're wondering how he eats. And dreams, another science fact. Just look at yourself, it's. Just a show.

I should really just relax for history's. So what she meant is Slayer rules. Slayer does rule. I thought we were talking about movie influence. We're getting there, Betty.

We can do that. Let's go there. Let's segue. What a fantastic segue. Let's go there.

We'll just take over. On to the film portion. The hard-hitting question then, which robot is your favorite? Are you a crow or a tom? Gypsy?

I would have to say. I would have to go, I think, with Crow. Definitely. I was always a little more towards Crow. I'm a TARS.

Do you know what movie that's from? Interstellar. New movie. Sorry. Okay.

No, that's right. I just watched a riveting film last night called Snowpiercer. What happens if the engine stops? We all freeze and die. But will it stop?

Oh, will it stop? No, no. Can you tell us why? The engine is eternal. Yes, the engine is proper.

Yes. Rumble, rumble, rattle, rattle. Who is the reason why? We'll find y'all. We'll find y'all.

We'll find y'all. Oh, I love that one. Such a tonic. Oh, that is such a good one. That's top quality.

I love that you say that because she was ripping it one in the car. I thought it was. So good because I'm like, take over the train. I was like. Why are you on this train?

Why did they let the poor people on here? Don't question. Because that's just how the society works. We're dicks. This is the future.

We're such dicks. Let's bring poor people on here just so we can keep being dicks to them. It's so they can work on the train. They're not working. That is a movie about the Holocaust, y'all.

They're not doing anything. They're just sitting there being poor. But the rich people. Cutting off their arms. They're eating bugs.

They're eating the bugs. I have not seen this film yet. Spoiler alert. You all are talking about Schindler's List. Everybody has seen this.

And it's terrible. Post-apocalyptic Schindler's List. I did love talking about that. Actually, Schindler's List is a great movie. It is.

Fuck those lines. I was really moved by the dude. Great soundtrack. It's like a black and white movie, but then the dude in the red thong. You know, it's like out of nowhere.

Wait, what movie are we talking about? No Schindler? Isn't this an Ann Getty's photograph you're speaking of? Yes. God help us all.

Okay, other movies? Just let's do general. Have you seen anything lately other than Snowpiercer? Yeah, Interstellar, I hella brought that up. Interstellar is just a fucking awesome movie.

Well, it's funny because I saw it in the theater and then some friends of mine were watching it in my living room like at 4 a.m. The other day and all I heard was just this like amazing journey of notes and things. Cosmic sounds. Hans, isn't that a Hans? It's a Hans film, I do believe.

It's a Hans Zimmer. Hans Zimmer? Yes. He's got his key banging moments. I felt a part of it as it came through the walls.

He was Oscar nominated for that, I believe. Recent movies that I saw that I thought the soundtrack ripped was Birdman. The soundtrack of that movie ripped. Like, I was just riveted to the sound. And the way that they play in and out with, like, You're hearing the sound effect and then you visualize it.

He's really there. Yeah, the person, the music you're hearing, you turn the corner and it's being performed. Not to mention the fact that they shoot that in five camera. Shots or something. It's ridiculous.

The soundtrack of that movie blew my mind. Thanks for watching! So recently, that's the only. It's Birdman or it sucks? No, it was great.

Yes, folks, it's intermission time. So how about taking a break? Get out and stretch a little and relax before the show begins again. Want some music for your ears? Doo-Wop Shop makes it easy to rent for any event, business meeting, or special occasion.

From PA systems to karaoke machines to just about anything that makes noise, you can rent it from the Doo-Wop Shop. In Louisville, find them either at their Highland store at 1587 Bardstown Road or in the East End at 2915 South Hurstburn Parkway. And look for them online at DooWopShop.com. Doo-Wop Shop. We're serious about music.

We was hitchhiking down a long and lonesome road. All of a sudden, There shined a shiny demon. In the middle of the road. And he said. Hey, this is KG of Tenacious D, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown with Brian.

Oh, yeah. I think my favorite was Kill Bill. Anything Quentin Tarantino, I'm usually a fan of. But Kill Bill, I like the ironic kind of songs he picks for a scene where someone's getting killed. It's always something off the wall and happy.

I love that shit. It makes you think even more. Specific song picks? Did you have one from Kill Bill? The one, shoot, I forget it.

Bang Bang. That's probably my favorite. Credit song, yeah. I was five and he was six. We rode on horses made of sticks.

He wore black and I wore white He. Would always win the fight Bang, bang, he shot me down Bang, bang, I hit the ground Bang, bang, that awful sound Bang, bang, my baby shot. Me down. Seasons came and changed the time When I grew up I called him mine He would always laugh and say Remember when we used to play Bang bang I shot you down Bang bang You hit the ground Bang bang That awful sound Bang, bang, I used to shoot you down. Music played and people sang just for me.

Church bells rang now he's gone I don't know why until this day sometimes. I cry he didn't even say goodbye he didn't take the time to lie bang bang. He shot me down, bang, bang I hit the ground, bang. Bang That awful sound, bang, bang. My baby shot me down.

It's one of those, like, he does kind of dig out ones that I don't think people are near as familiar as. They should be. Right, yeah. Kind of what he does with actors sometimes. I didn't know that was Nancy Sinatra until I looked it up.

It's, yeah, I think everybody should be more familiar with it. I love Cups and Cakes in Spinal Tap. Nice. All right. But, hey, enough of my yakking.

What do you say? Let's boogie. Let's boogie. Cops and Cakes Cops and Cakes Oh what good things mother makes You've got to take two Won't you take it with me What a gay time it will be Cops and Cakes Cops and Cakes Cops and Cakes Please make sure that nothing breaks. The china's so dear and.

The treacle's so clear. And I'm glad that you are here. Milk and sugar, bread and jam. Yes, please, sir, and thank you, ma'am. Here I am.

Here I am. Cups and cakes. Cups and cakes I'm so full my tummy aches How sad it must end But I'm glad I'd a friend Sharing cups and cakes with me And cakes. With me. I love Lego Movie and Everything is Awesome and You're Welcome.

Again, which version? The one in the movie or the Tegan and Sarah version? I like the one on the movie. The character version is always, always rips. Always rips.

I love Tegan and Sarah, but anytime you're talking about, for me personally, Meta Dead, anytime you're talking about Song from a movie with characters versus radio version of song. Characters, hands down, who gives a shit to hear Celine Dion sing something? I want to hear Aladdin sing it or whatever. Step 13, enjoy popular music. Tap the charts again.

Everything is awesome. Oh, my gosh, I love this song. Everything is awesome. Everything is cool when we're part of a team. Everything is awesome.

Everything is better when we stick together Side by side, you and I, going forever Let's party forever We're the same, I like you, you're like me We're all working in harmony Everything is our sound Everything is cool when you're part of the team Everything is our sound. Now let's see those smiles all around. Riding scooters through the park. Getting home before it's dark. Comfy shoes and candy bars.

Playing tunes on my guitar. Swimsuit, summer dress. Playing on the beach the best. Skiing in milk, white, red. Got my homework weeks ahead.

Skipping stones and best friend bracelets. Lemonade, I like to make it. Upper cycling, mountain biking. Let's go hiking. Make sure your shoes are tied.

Everything is awesome. It works so much better, especially that one, because it's so tied to the way the plot works. Yeah, like when Celine Dion sang the Aladdin song, totally. What are you, crazy? Jungle Book was the best Disney movie soundtrack ever.

I would like to disagree with Betty Dead. We do not need to start talking about Disney soundtracks because this could be like a four-hour fight. We all have very strong opinions. Mary Poppins. If you want to talk like phenomenal pussy soundtracks, The Fault in Our Stars, just say it.

You're right. She's really good at navigating us back on track. It's just another night And I'm staring at the moon. I saw a shooting star and thought of you. I sang a lullaby by the water's side.

I knew if. You were here, I'd sing to. You. You're on the other side as. The skyline splits in two.

Miles away from seeing you. But I can see the stars From America. I wonder do you see them too. So open your eyes And see The way our horizons And all of the lights will bleed Into the night with me. And I know these.

Scars will bleed. But both of our hearts believe All of these stars will guide. Us home I can hear your heart on the radio It beats, the. Playing, chasing cars And I thought. It was back to the.

Time You were lying next to me. I looked across and fell in love And so I took your hand Back. Through lamplight streets and knew. Everything led back to you. So can you see the stars Over Amsterdam Hear the song my heart is beating to So open your eyes and.

See The way our horizons meet And all of the lights will blink Into the night with me Both of our hearts believe All of these stars will guide. Us On and on. And on. I can see the stars from America. Indie boners.

We're the listeners out there. Yeah, I cried from as soon as that movie started, I just started crying in anticipation of me crying at the end of that movie. Someone asked me if I wanted to watch that movie, and I started crying. I picked up the box at the video store and started crying. I forced someone to watch it, and they later said, why did you make me do that?

Oh, my God. It's amazing. I haven't seen it. I had snot everywhere. It was such a good movie.

And the music's good, too. Uplifting. That's what we're going with. I have one. It Follows.

The soundtrack to that is pretty awesome. It's stuck with the original old-school horror films, I feel like. It's pretty awesome. I liked it. I don't know who composed it, but I like that soundtrack.

It is awesome. It was pretty cool. As far as, like, a song when it comes on that I've never heard before that just ripped was In Drive when the Kavinsky song comes on. I'd never heard a Kavinsky before, but that song came on, and I was just like, what the hell is this must-obtain track? I actually purchased on iTunes, which I don't do very often, but I was just like, I want that.

Yeah. I'm giving you a night call to tell you. How I feel. I want to drive you through the night down the hills. I gotta tell you something you don't want to hear.

I'm gonna show you where it's dark, but have no fear. There's something inside. But you're still the same There's something inside you It's hard to explain They're talking about you. And I called to tell you how I. Feel I want to drive you through the night Down.

The hills I gotta tell you something you don't. Want to hear It's hard. To explain. They're talking about you, boy. But you're still the same.

There's something inside you. It's hard to explain. My hands are a little dirty. So am I. That's, like, that whole weird movement.

Like, Drive was right sort of at the front of that where everything sort of late 80s, early 90s was coming back around. Yeah, huge throwback. It's like totally Tangerine Dream. Like, it's exactly like he's sort of recreating that in the movie and then the soundtrack is, like, spot on. Exactly that.

And what's weird is I want no part of any of that except that one movie. It sucks you in. Like, throwback is great, but, you know, then, like, one person throws back successfully, then everyone does, and it's like, no, I just want the first person that did it super rad. That's the only one I want. Then I'm just going to go back to my Disney movies.

Thanks. Bye. This is Billie. I think my favorite soundtrack, if, like, I have a very limited selection of music that influences me, to be honest, and, like, the 90s era is my favorite. I think the movie Go... pretty much had the best soundtrack of my life.

Every song on there, I just, I could party on that soundtrack till I die, so that would sum up my life pretty quickly right there. What we're doing when a fat boy's trippin'?. What we're doing when a fat boy's trippin' What we're doing when a fat boy's. Trippin' What you doing with that foot? What you doing with that foot?

What, what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a fat boy strippin'? What, what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a fat boy strippin'? What, what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a, what, what doin' when a fat boy strippin'? What, what, what, what, what, what, what. And you constantly get into wacky situations, some of which may involve fake drug deals.

I don't know how many different scenarios were going on in that movie. Yeah, I definitely just mean the songs. Like, I'm the greenest person in this entire band room city. Yeah. I don't break rules.

Yeah. I don't do anything cool, really. I think that's the way to operate. Just to let you guys know, that's Billy Dead, our trauma. Yes.

Billy Dead's the biggest nerd. She is wearing just a see-through thing right now. She's wearing a see-through. Mesh black thing over leopard pants. With black boots with studs.

I'm hardcore. She's very straight-laced. She's very punctual. I'm on time for everything. She's like, we better get to the venue early.

Yeah, I did say that. Two hours early for every movie. That would be weird. Stays all the way through the credits. Yeah, and I'm there for all the movie trivias to start.

Nowadays, you never know. Yeah, you might miss something. You've got to go early. Yeah. You've got to stay late.

I've got to be there. If I'm spending $ 20 on one ticket, not to be cheap, but I am, I'm going to see every fucking thing. I'm going early. Do you really play along with the trivia? And do you argue with people around you?

I'm the worst person at trivia on earth. You could ask me trivia about myself. I don't know. I don't save any information. In life.

No. My hard drive is full. I'm the worst at trivia. I'm pretty good at the BW3s trivia thing. buffalo wild wings yes um because i always we're endorsed by buffalo wild wings are pretty much shown and then i type in my i'm like yes it's c and then i have like one point. Oh ntn trivia yeah yeah that's like the trivia that's the only trivia i'm good at i'm good at that because they give you like the the things disappear yeah so i'm like oh see really great it did deducing what might be the answer but pulling an answer out of the clear.

Blue no way I can't I don't do that back to films oh yeah sorry here's. My favorite question for the bands that are roaming around together and stuck together you have to be watching movies on the road how much of a clash is that you're all forced to. Watch we have I feel like we have very similar tastes. There's places where we don't overlap as far as maybe horror. Or I like really, really.

I'm 100% sci-fi or children's movies. The last movie we watched together was Lego movies. Is there an alien or. Is it for children? Explorers is your favorite movie.

You can't even name a movie with aliens that I don't love. It could be the worst movie ever. Does an alien appear? Great. I love it.

I don't care how bad it is. Explorers is wonderful. I mean, God, the actors in that movie. Like, what a time capsule. What a wonderful collection of people.

And it's everything. And the aliens in that are so ridiculous and wonderful. I question, yeah, that ending's a little cheesy. But the whole first half is really good. I'm sorry, did you just say the ending was cheesy?

The whole thing. No, the whole, like, that whole first half is pretty realistic. I'm buying it. It's pretty exciting. I'm also sold on Flight of the Navigator.

And everything, like... Children's movies and that. But as far as everything else, I think there's things we all can enjoy, and we wouldn't force something we don't like as a group on each other. Sounds better. Hey, my name's Noah Hathaway, and you're listening to Movie Meltdown. It's the answer. We're talking about just like movies that we watch as a group or would. Watch as a group.

We've added a member, so I guess introduce yourself. We've just been joined by Daisy Dead. Have we ever watched a movie together? All five of us? Well, on tour, he was asking when we're on tour, would there ever be a fight over what movie to watch?

And I would say, no, we're nice. Yeah. That's not what I heard. Mostly from you. Well, because why would you insist, no, we must watch this movie right now?

Everybody's like, I'm not in the mood. Like, no, I don't care. We're going to watch it right now. And not only that, but you can't go back to your bunk. Like, no, you've got to sit out here.

And watch this. Yeah, you can all do your own thing on the bus. So it's like, this is what's going down out here right now. If you don't like it, get in your bunk. It's the newest porn.

We are watching Drop Dead Gorgeous, or you guys can go fuck yourselves. All three Star Wars back to back. Our bus driver was watching, like, as good as it gets and being like, guys, this is what's on. Yeah, that was a thing. That's all you can, you know.

Everyone else go fuck yourself. Our bus driver was definitely everyone else go fuck yourself about movies. Yes. But even then he wasn't like, and no, you guys got to get out of your bunks and come watch this. Or I'm not going to drive any further.

He would do something like that. He would though. Get up. Time for a grumpy old man. He was just like, everyone else go fuck yourself.

Let's be honest. That was mean. I'm sorry. But not really. He was mean.

He was really mean. Grumpy old men, though. He was a butt head. He was not cute mean like grumpy old men. He was just mean mean.

Oh, my God. Yeah. It got a little scary. So I think most have picked a song, at least. Did you have a song from a movie that's one of your favorites?

Oh, they did. I've been thinking about this. A favorite, not the favorite, but a favorite song. that I actually heard on the radio recently is the Marilyn Manson cover of Put a Spell on You from the Lost Highway soundtrack. Nice. Nice.

A spell on you because you're mine I can't stand the things that you do no no no I ain't lying no I don't care if you don't want me cause I'm yours anyhow. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.

I love you. I love you. Understand the things that you do when you're fooling around. I don't care if you don't want me. Cause I'm yours, yours, yours.

That was really cool. That's definitely good. That whole soundtrack's kind of awesome. Oh, Rob Zombie movies just came to mind. Oh, yeah.

In general, what's going on there. I've never seen any of those because aliens in kids' movies. Yeah. I love the horror in Rob Zombie movies. Lost Highway is a very scary meta.

I know. It's disturbing in a different way. As all Lynch films are. I appreciate that she'll at least watch alien movies. Because you could also cop out and be scared of that, too.

Well, what's funny is if they're terrifying alien movies, I'll still watch them. What? They could be totally horrific. They're sci-fi horror. They could be, like...

And I'll watch sci-fi horror all the time. Yeah, is there. Like, what's. I like Event Horizon. I've seen that.

Yeah. That one's, like, a really... And I saw it for the first time, like, a year ago. Like. Yeah, I was like, that movie's so cool.

And you guys are like, this has been out for years. My friends were all like, this is ridiculous. You're the most person of all the people we know that should like horror movies. Why don't you? I was like, I don't know.

They scared me when I was a kid. And I was just like, nope, not going to watch them. And so last year I started this vision quest of trying to watch horror movies. So it started with some kind of beginner movies like Cabin in the Woods. And then I worked my way up to Scarier and Scarier.

And after a year of watching horror movies, which was 2014, I was like, yeah, no, I just think it's not my thing. Unless an alien pops out or we're in outer space, I don't really care. It's a very specific window. Yeah, I actually remember being in the other room during the beginning of some possession movie. I don't remember what it was.

There's about 20 of them. What's happening now? Okay, what's happening now? I was like, well, the father just had to kill his daughter, burn her ass to death because she's possessed, and that's how the movie started. She's like, ooh.

Oh, interesting, but I don't want to watch it. Describe the possession to me. I love that. I like to hear about it. I just don't want to watch it.

I like experiencing horror vicariously. She would not watch Breaking Bad, but she knows the whole thing because she would ask her, what happened in Breaking. Bad this week? You're a water cooler fan. You almost use your imagination more whenever you're being told something.

So it can actually end up almost being worse, I think, than actually watching, you know. It's kind of like reading a book. It can actually be worse than a movie because you're using your own imagination. To me, the principle was kind of based on anxiety. With a movie, if enough people are like, you've got to see it.

I'm like, okay, I can watch it. I can deal with the repercussions. But with a television show, it's like, I watched two episodes of Breaking Bad. I got way too invested. I was super worried about Walter White.

And I would go to bed being like, I hope Walter's okay. And the fact is, I just don't. Have time for that in my life. But I still want to know what happened. So I would just be like, yo, give me the elevator pitch.

What happened to Walter? You like to be caught up on the social events of the day. Well, I went upstairs one time. I think, what was I like dropping off a cup of sugar or something? Daisy and I live in the same building.

And like Breaking Bad was on and there was some kind of somebody was going off on somebody else. And I was like, this is super unpleasant. It is super unpleasant. I think it's probably one of the best television shows of all time that. I've ever seen.

Or like I just was like, oh, you know, it's like you want to leave the room when something bad is happening. Like somebody was. First two episodes, season finale. That's all I've seen. That's all I need to see.

Great show. They'll probably put that on their advertisements. Super unpleasant. They would appreciate that, I think. Yeah.

So, if nothing else, what should people go and look for if they want to know more about the Dead Deads? Like websites? Social media? Where would they go find you? The most fun place to find the Dead Deads is Twitter, because we're really active on Twitter, and we have a lot of fun there, and we always answer any tweets that come our direction personally.

Several of you tweeted me back just on this thing. Yeah, we have fun there, but it's a great opportunity for us to engage with everybody, and I don't know, just. yeah make new friends um. Name all our friends and we name all. Of our friends. So if you jump on twitter you get a dead name even if you don't want it.

You assign them a specific dead name. Yeah we give we give everybody a nickname that wants that actually that says what's my dead name we'll give you one So come look for us on Twitter and we'll give you a dead name if you ask for it. We're on Instagram, Facebook. Our website's fun because we'll put special stuff on there on thedeaddeads.com that is like a blog or an extra of what's going on with us, an announcement. We have a Tumblr where we write political ideas that we have about changing the world.

On how you're going to take over the world. We don't want to take over the world. We just want to make it better. I wouldn't put it past you. They can find us on some cruises coming up if they want to really find us and pay $ 1, 000 to find us.

Not just of money, but of time. Yeah, if you've got five days and $ 1, 000, you should come on Shiprocked and hang out with us for a week. Yeah. It's not one of these specific bands' cruises. It's a general.

It's called Shiprocked. Well, I mean, it's headlined by, like, Seether, Hailstorm, Five Finger Death Punch. And we will be there. Yep. Hell yeah.

Hell yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm excited about helmets. Oh, hell!

Yeah, we're ready. Yeah. It's going to be awesome. So do I have a dead name is what I'm asking. Well, you have to ask us on Twitter.

Oh. Damn it. I don't even get the interactive dead name. Everything in its right place, my friend. So many Mike.

You're opening up a can of worms here that, look, trust the sci-fi fan. You do not want to go here. Trust the parameters of social media. We have to wait. Ask us on Twitter.

Flick. Flick. Flick dead. Fucker dead. That's more accurate.

No. I just remembered one of my other favorite soundtracks. Team America World Police. Oh, God. America.

Fuck yeah. America. America. America, fuck yeah Coming again to save the motherfucking day, yeah America, fuck yeah Freedom is the only way, yeah Terrorists, your game is through Cause now you have to answer too America, fuck yeah So lick my butt and suck on my balls America, fuck yeah What. Books! You can't even talk about Trey Parker and Matt Stone without me flipping out. So drop the mic. I'm out of here. They're gods.

We have to get on stage. She literally just dropped the mic. I'm not going to drop the mic because I can't afford it anymore. Handle. I'm metaphorically dropping the mic.

She's right. Okay, bye. Trey Parker, Mashed Down Forever, I love you, bye. I mean, it brings up orgasmo. That's a classic.

I got to keep talking about Trey Parker. She can't leave. Okay, I'm leaving. She heard orgasmo and she couldn't handle it. My favorite is Cannibal the Musical.

Yes, yes. I was thinking about that the other day. She just ran away and now she's running back. She had to come back. Because it's awesome.

Yes. Spaceballs? Or wait, no, Basketball. I don't know if I count that. That wasn't their movie.

They just happened to be in it. It's sort of on the lesser end, but Cannibal the Musical, that's top quality. Well, I guess we should go play a rock show or something. Probably. Speaking of which, what's the other song to send them off with?

We'll give them one more of yours to round it out. Okay. Yeah, Sour Blooms. Sour Blooms reminds me of The NeverEnding Story. Nice.

And you're right, like bringing up Sour Blooms to me is always the most visual in my mind. We don't have a music video for it yet, but I love that because in my mind I'd want like $ 20, 000 so you could literally animate everything we're singing. Nice. All right. You know, the lyrics are just, they'll speak for themselves.

Like drawn animation? Or are you going like stop motion animation? Rotoscope. Rotoscope. See, that's good stuff.

Well, I hope you at least have a luck dragon worked in there somewhere. Okay. Yeah. They hear it. Are you going to watch the show?

Yeah, definitely. I'll try to make it. Point at you when I. Think Falkor flies during the song, I'll. Try to be like, it's now.

It is an interactive event now. Imagine right now. You need to at least get one on a stick and go by and just kind of. That would be awesome. Just a big paper luck dragon.

Alright, well thank you for hanging out and you should go rock out. All right, a big thank you once again to. The Dead Deads. They are touring quite a bit right now, so definitely go out and see them because they put on a hell of a live show. To find out where they're playing next and for links to all those other social medias that they mentioned, I say.

Start at thedeaddeads.com and take it from there. Now it's time for the final song, so get out your luck dragons on a stick and let them fly high as we go out on. Sour Blooms from the Dead Deads. Thank you once again for joining us, and with that I will remind you, get a life, and we'll provide the soundtrack. The Avenue.

The avenue, the avenue close behind. They follow you, they follow you. Not your kind. It's coming true, it's coming true. The dream that I had last night.

Inside of you, they run their roof. Out of your mind. Storm of blood. From the sky into the sea. Fall of blood, what's the make of all these things?

When the mountains overturn, clinging to the trees in flight. When you see the forest burn, sour blooms the moon. The disarray, the disarray, the disarray clean and bright. It swallows you, it swallows. You in pure white.

It's coming true, it's coming true The dream that I had last night The fallen lands, the idle hands The end in sight. Star of. Blood, from the sky into the sea. Born of blood, what to make of all these things. When the mountains overturn, planes of the trees in flight.

When you see the forest burn, sour blooms of night. The avenue, the avenue The avenue close behind They. Follow you, they follow you Not your kind It's coming true, it's coming true The dream that I had. Last night I thought of you, I thought of you. Our last goodnight.

Now I have that. So out with me, oh yeah. So out with me tonight. The record company gonna give me lots of money and everything's gonna be alright. Yeah, that's the 90s alright.

It doesn't happen that way anymore. Yeah. If we were on Twitter, this would never have happened. Oh, was I supposed to say that word? To sing in the mafia?

No. Excellent. Does it have to be movies? Can it be television? It's sticking with movies.

Movies? Okay. God, what a dick. That's my role. There's a lot of.

Somebody has to be a dick on this show. It's pretty much the golden age of television, so there's so many good. Well, Betty. Sorry. Damn it.

Focus on the film. I'm ruining it. I think I said mountain. I was like, doesn't he say mouth plow? You're listening to Moving Mouth Plow. cannot disturb the time-space continuum.

I thought you said sing. In the mafia. I was like, I don't know any mafia songs. I'm also not Italian. There is no mountain in that one.

Can I say stuff and. Can you edit it if I don't say something for a while? You can edit in some extra stories. Can you send me things to say later, and I'll record them and send them to you? Just text it all out.

Can you get a voice. Double to talk for me if I'm quiet? Possibly. All right. Got them on staff.

Those are all my questions. Thank you. Meta-ded, meta-ded, milly-ded, hella-ded. She's doing a meta in Pirates, I noticed. Yeah, it sounds better.

It's cool. We're done. Sorry. This episode is a production of Movie Meltdown, produced and edited by The Oddity Studios, with opening music performed by The Empires. For more on how to sponsor or support the show, email producer at moviemeltdown.com.
