Merry Christmas, Miss sneezer, I'll be merry when it's over. One overnight Christmas flight. This is my ex fiance, Three festive visitors. I'm the ghost of Christmas Bass. You just don't make Mary love this.
This is the present. Say a Christmas Carol and the spirit of love. You look like you've seen a ghost. I can't remember the last time I had this. Much fun Christmas above the clouds, one Hallmark Channel.
Welcome to another stocking stuffer. I'm Emily, and I am going to be taken back to a classic novel adapted for our modern times. And because we're doing fine literature, I simply cannot do this on my own. So I have brought not just one guest, but two guests. The one and only.
You have heard them several times on the show. They have previously brought you such classics as three Wise Men and a Baby, three wisest Men and a Baby. No, three wiser Men and a baby, I should say, and miss stick Christmas, Christmas and Mystic whichever one it was, Mister Christmas. I'm sure that Lifetime made a Christmas in Mystic version that was a different story, but the same thing. Just to confuse.
Everybody on the title anyway with me is Dave and Brandy podcaster extraordinaries of Boldly Go and Shield Podulation. You know that men love them. Welcome, Welcome. How about Mystic Christmas pizza? Yes, it should be a thing, mar Vista, get on that please.
I finally had Connecticut pizza, by the way, and it is quite good. We're like New Haven pizza. It's good, very same. I you know, here's the thing about that, Like, I'm gonna be blasphemists right now because I am in New York. I grew up in Long Island.
I lived in Manhattan for a long time. Like I love New York pizza. However, there is something like lacking in the last I thought it was just me and I have talked to other people and they have all kind of said the same thing. Something changed in New York City about ten to fifteen years ago, and the pizza has just not been what it was. It was Giuliani.
Well it's it's too late for Giuliani. It could have been, could have been Bloomberg at that point. I guess maybe maybe, but something changed and it just has not been. Like I haven't had a great slice of New York pie in years, it's very upsetting. So I had Connecticut pizza not that long ago, and it was delightful, thin, cross, nice and crispy, like perfect, like amount of everything.
Yeah, So, now, how is the pizza in your part of the country, Because you're in a part of the country that I don't know what food you people eat. Up next to a little just mom and pop called piccolos okay, and it was amazing. Were they real Italians or were they like real Italians? And in fact, I think the one that wasn't near us. There were two locations, and one of them supposedly was the place you could get your drugs.
Illicit, so that might have been one of The pizza was so good, so it. Was like a front. Yeah. But yeah there's Stromboli nice excellent, was so good. Yeah, it's a really good pizza.
You just get like a supreme and it's just to die for. And then you know what probably better for your pizza these days, probably. Said the sad thing is is that they're not in operation anymore, so we can't get anymore. You know, good good things never last. You know, we've got the usual fare, your dominoes, your Caesar's.
You're just realized we still have a pizza hut near us. So I will autobashedly admit that Dominoes is one of my like I don't consider anything a guilty pleasure because I'm not embarrassed by anything I like. But Dominoes is one of those things where it's like, yeah, I like it, you got a problem? I like it. I like Dominoes.
Uh. The last time I had it, though, I was unimpressed, and I don't know if that was meat or if the pizza changed, but it's been years. The thing that like if I but on vacation somewhere and it was like, oh okay, we got to order. Well, you know what, there's always a Domino's and it's always going to taste exactly the same, and if you get the dipping sauce, everything tastes salty and delicious. It was weird when they just came out and said, yeah, we use real cheese.
Now, It's like, what were you using before? Other local places? What we got the Pie, which is a pizza place that's by a lot of college campuses, and Lucky Slice on historic twenty fifth Street. Excellent. You're in Ogden, so it's one of those streets you'll see in movies they.
Like to that's right, Oh yeah, because you guys get these movies filmed by you, right, Oh. Yeah, especially Perk City. But yeah, every once in a while Ogden because we have like the historic street and we have what the second best Christmas village in the nation. Nice, Yes, we're gunning for first. Who was first?
You're gonna down? I don't know, but and I don't care. I don't need to know. Is that we at the top not? You know, I respect that because my tactic would be the exact opposite.
My tactic would be who's first? And how can I, like, I don't know, I'm not going to say, start a forest fire there, but how can I do something that's going to make it hard for them to be first? Whereas you, Brandy, are a woman of principle and you're thinking, no, we're just going to be better than them. Yeah, we are just going to be better than that. That's the right attitude.
Especially the Oden people. They might not come out to vote for city council, but they'll sure as hell come out to them out for Christmas. And any reason to have fireworks. I swear like so many fireworks. There's some kind of tie between the city and fireworks, because you know, we've got to Christmas fireworks.
What is a Christmas like? Do they like do they keep it in like a red green palate or is it just the same thing. It's the fourth of July. It's just everything after giving giving, the light parade, light parade. Yeah, and then they have fireworks and they light the Christmas village.
They do the fireworks after they light the Christmas village. Right, Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Yeah, Oh it doesn't because I don't know why Christmas fireworks seems so wrong. I guess because like fireworks is something you're supposed to be able to do outside, Like you're you know, you're outside, it's nice out, You're looking up at the sky, and that just seems very unpleasant, like at Christmas time. Okay, sure you're out for a parade, but parades exist to torture children who have to march in them.
Right. I don't know if you guys were in marching band in high school, but like it was there just to make you, like, I feel like there's something As we all get older, I find like I get angrier at young people for being young and not being like, you know, doing something physical. The next day they're fine. I feel like there's an aspect of parades that were invented to make the youth like suffer a bit the way we suffer just by living well. Whenever they put a marching band behind the horses, that tells you something that's designed.
Oh yeah, wow, we have a rodeo and rodeo days that are pretty big around what the twenty fourth of July, which is like a big holiday here too because it's Pioneer Days, okay, and so yeah, we get horses and the cowgirls with the wave, the Princess wave. Okay. So it's actually a lot of just like middle schoolers bundled up feeling very cold, and a lot of fire trucks by me. So, but I mean Christmas in everybody's own way, and I think one of a Christmas tradition. The tenant of Christmas that I adore is of course a Christmas carol.
Yeah, and today's movie, which you folks picked and I and I'm very excited to talk about it. People have heard the trailers, they know the movie. It's Christmas and the Christmas above the Clouds again. Is there a movie called Christmas in the Clouds that's being made like at the same time by the Asylum? Probably, But this is a Christmas store, a Christmas Carol.
Why did you select this one? Well, it was actually a tie between this one and Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper. I flipped a coin and Christmas Above the Clouds one. Okay, so because and also you know, it's got Tyler Hines, and and y'all know how I feel about Tymy Hines. Understandable, understandably and so had you watched it before you decided this was going to be one of the final two?
No, I watched Actually, yes, I thought. I'm sorry I said that wrong. I lied, I did lie. Well, basically this one came earlier than Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper because they start the holiday Christmas movies in October. Yeah, no October.
They started them in October, and it's like they barely cram in enough of the false stuff and then a straight up onto Christmas. You know it. But I'm just like, hey, it's a Tyler movie, so it's automatically going to be at the top of my list. But I was just really surprised by Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper, which is. I hope she frows again.
I might cover that later because I've heard You're not the only ones who have talked it up to me. I've had a couple of other people say like, oh, make sure you watch this one, so I might try to. I might do that as my closing this year. But we'll see, we'll see. It's ever so good.
I did luck out because they only had to watch one because we watched that before we decided. So I didn't watch the Ted Cooper one. Okay, yeah you should, though, Dave, maybe we should do it for movie night next time it's my turn because it's really fund nice and you can see the golden retriever of Hallmark just being adorable for all of it. Well, so this one has a lot of Hallmark stallwarts, a lot of the typical things. And you know what, it's been a while since I did a Christmas cow version of anything.
It just it used to be a thing that, like every year you would have and it's a wonderful life or Christmas Carol adaptation one way or another. And this isn't by any means like the first of these. I think if you were to go back. I feel like one of the first, and I don't think it was made for Hallmarker could be wrong, but have you seen God, what year was it? I want to say it's like two thousand and four.
Whoopy Goldberg in Call Me Clause. I have not seen that. Call Me Clause was a not I gotta find this is gonna bug me. It was two thousand and one and it's Woopy Goldberg, Nigel Hawthorne, Brian Stokes, Mitchell, Victor. Oh my god, I didn't realize just how good this cast was.
Victor Garber, Taylor Negron from Nothing but Trouble, Like, there's amazing cast and it was a made for something. I think it was made for USA. It was definitely like a made for TV. But it's a Christmas movie and it's Whoopy Goldberg as like, essentially it's this movie, right, Whoopy Goldberg is a tough CEO who is the scooge character in this case. And I don't know that it was like the start of the Hallmark wave, but I feel like it's one of those movies that sort of like planted the seed of look what you can do Hallmark.
So I'm always happy for a Christmas Carol. I grew up with like that, probably being one of my first theatrical experiences because every kid goes to see the local production of a Christmas Carol. Is it something that you are both like, have a fondness for, or like whatever, it's another Christmas story. I am getting like you're in the headline as if you guys have never thought about a Christmas Carol. No, no, no, it's not that Orley was dead to begin with.
This is how we all start at our Christmas. Yes, but this is this is something that has always been a part of my life and there I've seen multiple versions of it. Excuse me, but and I'm gonna blaspheme here. I am not a Dickens fan. This is like the one story of his that I can stomach.
It's I mean, it's the one that is an appropriate length because he got paid by the words, so most of his writing with a little wordier than it had. To be, Yes, way worthier than it had to be. But yeah, great expectations can go to hell and you can kiss my butt and fly away. Yes over the twenty fifth absolutely, so yeah, I'm I still enjoy it. I will watch an adaptation of it.
I did not know until we watched this movie that this was going to be an adaptation of a Christmas Carol, so because I hadn't really seen many commercials or anything like that, and so I'm just like, oh, because just the moment that they call her Ellene's er, I'm. Like, oh, wait a minute, that's what that was supposed to mean. Yes, now, yeah, I love to call her like miss me because it sounds like miss Sneezer was a good kick out. About you. How about where do you land on a Christmas Carol?
Lore? It was an English major, so reading Dickens was a thing. If you think Great Expectations is something bleak house, holy crap. But you know his signalman, pretty good ghost. Story and this is a Christmas story.
Another ghost story, you know, m R James. If you want your Christmas ghost. Story, the James stuff, great stuff. But yeah, I've read my fair share of Dickens, and I'm kind of like the same way. It's like, yeah, he's you can tell he really wants to be a gentleman.
And you know he grew up rather poor. His father had to go into the poor house because he had debt and you can feel the resentments. Yeah, he he's mercurial and mercy and you know, wrote for money. That's you know, that's what writers do. But yeah, if he was a left date'd probably write for television, just like Shakespeare would have.
Well, and hopefully it'd be very rich based on all of the adaptations of this particular story. Oh, the royalties alone. He wouldn't have to write it now, he. Shouldn't have to. The naming conventions he does.
He's pretty good at that, so you know. Yeah, I'm just I'm a sucker for it. Same with it. For me. It's the same with and It's a wonderful life, spin the I wish I was never born.
Let's see the world if you were never born. Both of those just I don't know. I think like the originals are of both, like the you know, the actual It's wonderful life and Christmas Carol as a novel, right, it's a short novel. It's it's not a long one. I just think are both Like, these are great stories, and I think they apply.
You can do anything with them. Obviously not there's diminishing returns and such. There is a there is a I want to say, it's a Carol Christmas with Tory Spelling in the as the CEO who needs an education. There's another one where Carrie Fisher plays I think like the Jacob Marley character, so you know it fits. It's right.
You know, we get to gender swap it a bit, which we don't always do. So why don't we dive into if we can get a recap of the story of Christmas above the clouds. So this one is directed by Peter Benson who was also in the movie. He plays Jim kind of remain assistant, and he's made a lot of these movies. He made like at least twenty of them.
Somehow, it shows goes to show how many of these movies there are. Because I'm looking at all of these titles, I'm like, yeah, I haven't seen any of them, and fits a lot of them. That's how many. There are so many? So who which of you would like to give asynopsis?
What do you think all? I don't know. Well, it's the typical Christmas Christmas Carol story. We have the well not to get too much ahead of ourselves, but we have the lady in need of a lesson and all the female lead. She's hard worker, she her I guess college dream was to develop this travel agency because she wanted to give people the opportunity to explore the world and have new experiences.
And so that's what she's doing. And she worked for this hard ass where she learned all the lessons about you know, how to maximize profits and get the most out of your employees and not give them an be lazy or sick or anything. And don't treat employees like human beings. Yep. So to find out that her workers resent her for one thing.
They're running this ad and it's kind of one of the weirdest moments of the movie, I think, is when it's an ad and she wants it to be directed at people that take vacations alone, like as if that's a huge market. It's like she's wanting them to advertise specifically to her because she's the only person that does this. Yes on a bad thing for a boss to do. It's like, remember, you were not You're not the audience here, and she she ye does not seem to see that. I'm sure there is a market for like solo vacations, but probably a smaller market than what.
She's going and not a market that needs to be advertised to because it's probably something they're already doing. Possibly, so because she's not happy with the ad, she has them work through Christmas in a very Ebenezer Scrooge kind of way. We have her assistant that is the Bobby Cratchett. We can just call Herbby Cratchit Bobby Cratchett. She has a son who's sick with like asthma.
So we got our tiny Tim and she's going to go. The boss Lady or Ellis Sneezer is going to go to Australia to finalize some kind of deal. I guess for her airline. I guess what is that? A travel agency?
Way? I thought it was an actual airline that she's. Yeah, you would seem to think that, but then why wouldn't she ride on her own plane? No, that's the thing her. The the acronym IS stands for Great Expectations Travel, So she partners with airlines and such that.
She doesn't run an airline. It is like a travel agency, which is kind of a thing of the past these days. Yeah, we have the Internet now, we haven't really needed those in a while. Yeah, just so happens that when she gets on this plane to Australia, she bumps into the old X. They broke up because she's.
Uh business business works. Too hard's business business business over relationship, relationship relationship. Of course, we get our Tyler, so the top of the sheet, major one guy male lead in Hallmark movie, So happy to see him here, and uh, while they're on the flight, she gets visited by the spirits. According to the Dickens Classic at Christmas Carol, we get our are past in a pretty perky flight attendant. We get our Presence who's Australian pilot, and we get our future who is a Air.
Marshal, which I think was kind of funny. And our Marlee is you know, her boss, who's a trapped in the safety video. Which when that happens, that happens pretty early, right, so Marley is obviously the first ghost that comes, and you know, the Marley ghost basically says like, this is my hell. I have to pay penance by being in this video and you've been You're going to do it longer than I am, so it's going to be worse for you. You're going to be an employee training video.
And that actually had me laughing, like a oh my I made a sound out loud WHI one of these movies. So then it was like, Okay, I think we got something here. This is well written. The jokes land the spirits are quirky enough to keep you interested, and I like the parallels. I like how they've adapted it specifically for Airlines because our front Jim Moon does the Hypnagoria podcast and he's big on Christmas.
It's one of his Christmas and Halloween. He's the busiest. And one time he went through all these different movies, much like you do with your checklist. He did with comparing the novel to the adaptations and how closely and this one's very far off. But I think that's what I like about it is how much they it was just kind of inspired by a Christmas Carol and they just allowed that to do their own thing.
It was almost like an improv like long improv show where they just had a Christmas Carol as a suggestion and Airlines as a suggestion and just rolled with it. Okay, well, and I think they have a very strong foundation in the movie Scrooged. I feel like this is very much a like PG rated Lighter Lady version of that. In terms of some of some of the beats feel specifically that, which again I don't have a problem with because I grew up with Scrooge. It's one of those movies I do like to watch each year.
Yeah, I think that's what will happen. Whenever you like modernize a Christmas Carol, You're going to get kind of the Scrooge to feel to it. It's going to be what Yeah, those creators, what their references were, And at this point it's basically the Muppets and Scrooged I think for a lot of people when it comes to Christmas or Christmas Carol. All right, so why don't we dive into the list and walk through the movie that way? So the first thing, meaning our lead, need of a lesson.
So now we've talked about Ellen Neeezer, tell me more about this actress because I know I've seen her in things. Yeah, Aaron Craco is powerful. She can do freakin' anything. She's Julliard trained and she's actually spent thirteen well it will be thirteen seasons very soon. On the Hallmark show Win Calls the Heart, which is based on the book of the same name, and she that is being on a series that long, that takes stamina.
And yeah, she started when she I mean, when I watched the first episode, I'm like, oh my god, she's so young. Is she even legal age? Well, she's like the Marishka of Homer. Yeah. I love her.
She's good in everything she does. And she has worked with Tyler before. She in one of my most favorite Hallmark movies, which was it was Always You Okay and I don't know that, No it's not a Christmas movie, and they just had such great chemistry. But they haven't worked together for five years, and the fans were calling for it. They're like, why aren't you guys gonna do another movie together?
Do another movie together? And they're like, okay, we'll do another movie together. And so so that I don't know if this happened before the movie was thought of or happened after. It's hard to say, but but the fans got their wish seeing those two together again. And I will tell you this, I have seen Aaron Craco kiss guys, you know, various guys, because she doesn't just do Win Calls the Heart.
She does other movies, big thing, non Hamewark thing. Yeah, she she does not kiss anyone else like she kisses Tyler. When she kisses Tyler, Yeah, when when she kisses Tyler, it is all there. It's just like, oh, somebody get me a fan. Yeah.
I liked her in this. I liked how because it's it's one of those roles that like you can overplay and be very you know, kind of ridiculous in. But I thought she managed to. Like I think the hardest thing with the Scooge character is that you're seeing them kind of speed race through being like innocent and hurt into being like evil, you know, wage theft. And I did love it because in the beginning, I'm like, Okay, how are we gonna get there?
And I thought, like, no, like the it they actually moved like and I think it was probably performance as much as anything else. Of Like, No, I thought that she was here and then you know, she was a little bit more this way and a little more that way, and I thought I thought it carried well. And I think she is good with other actors, Yes, she is. She is very good at what she does, and especially that scene at the end when she's had the change of heart already but she hasn't told Bobby and they have to land in Utah. Hello, shout out to my home and uh and her sister lives in Utah, so she can go see her sister, but Bobby is trying to find another flight, et cetera.
And so and then when she comes back and she a uh so, and she's just acting like her you know, bitchy self until and then and then when she is just like, I expose, I suppose you expect me to give you a raise and stuff like that, and and Bobby's like, no, no, no, She's like and then her face completely changes. You see the shift right there. And that's a good actor, right Yeah. So let's move on to our bland love interests. No, Tyler never blame the wrong here.
He is not ever bland. You see him that sci fi short he did with a friend of his, a Chimera. Oh man, he's intense in that. I as an actor, I like him a lot. He is very likable, he's very cool.
I thought he was a little bit of a perfect Golden Retriever unicorn in this movie. And I didn't understand how he didn't have a date in ten years or whatnot, like cause he's just like he's I mean, you look at him like he's he's a beautiful man and she breaks up with him. All right, she's there engaged, and she basically says like, I'm choosing my career over you. It's not working. And then he continues to like basically be a philanthropist like orphans and yep, and be wonderful and and pine for her.
Still like that was one of those I'm like, come on, give me, Like I wanted a little more conflict there, I think, because but again it's hallmark one of my like this isn't meant to have conflict. It just felt a little bit of like what's wrong with him that he hasn't dated somebody else all this time? It's like he knows she's the one and nobody else will do and so when they break up, it's like there's nobody else for him and will never be And you see that, you know, the ghost of Christmas is yet to come, that he's alone. A librarian yeah. For anyone, Yeah, yeah, at the at the Drew, but at the dom Dom, I wrote down all the references I knew Don Bay Library.
Yeah, Don Bay and Son was a Dickens novel. There were definitely little references here and there I believe you on that one. I didn't catch it because I don't know you. Could make a drinking game out of the Dickens references, even saying all the Dickens kind of. She said, she said, Ella says at one point, what the Dickens?
So talking about baggers in Victoria London? Victorian London of great Expectations, Great Expectations travel. It was the best of times. It was the worst of times. Actually said that entire thing.
Pickwick and Company paper, right, literary, they have some more. Yes, get a kick out of this. So let's I guess moving on to our setting, which is sometimes New York question mark. Yeah, it's like where are they originally? Because we we get a little bit of Utah at the end, and most of it takes place on a plane, which it's got a lot of extras in this.
Well, now where are they? They're they're in now that you're saying that, because doesn't the opening isn't is the opening New York City? Yeah, it opens with like stock footage New York City, And I guess they're flying from there to Australia. Maybe they're going to la and then Australia. Because you can do the flight that way.
Yeah, maybe that's why they end up in Utah. Yeah, that makes sense because Sulwick City is a major hub for airlines. So yeah, that makes sense. And in the like the flashbacks, right her in college and everything, I think they were supposed to be in New York, right, it seems like, yes. It makes sense that, you know, especially you know she's in an office building and yeah, yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
All right, So let's talk about number four is our dead parents. We don't have dead parents here, but we do have something perhaps worse. We have absent teeth parents. Yes, right, mm hmmm. We have like assumingly like wealthy send our kids to private school and never talk to them again type parents because they never got mentioned, like we know in the beginning that you know, she's at boarding school with her sister, but we never hear like, oh yeah, well go to mom and dads like that never seems to be a thing.
Now, that's that's what selfish people do, is they just it's like, oh, whoops, we had a kid, Well I guess they'll go to boarding school. Oh no, we had another bob send them there too. Yeah, yeah, it's just we'll still carry on as if we don't have kids. Yes, I have to say it's I feel like this year I've had less dead parents. And on one hand, it's less fun because I kind of enjoy the novelty of it.
On the other hand, it's kind of like, oh, there's a nice aspect of this because it is like one of those things where maybe I feel like some maybe some of the writers are like, you know, sometimes it's a little much just to throw them in there. So let's try to have like a non trigger warning type type movie that way, So it's a it's mixed back media. Well, I hate to tell you then that Merry Christmas. Ted Cooper does have dead parents. Okay, well good, well in a way good because I need one I enough this year.
So there, it'll stay on the least for that alone. Yeah, he has an older sister that that raised him, so okay, Okay, So there's that, all right. So let's talk about the sassy sidekick, because I feel like there's a more than one here. Yeah, you could practically have all the spirits be sidekicks, but there's but her assistant and herself is I don't know, she's sassy, but she's certainly energetic and kind of pollyannish. Yeah, she's she's very positive, considering.
Like her son is dying and she's working for a monster and her life is very. Sad, and as good as an assistant she is, she could find a better job and a better employer. Yeah, one would hope. Yeah, Yeah, Well, to see, the thing is that when you've been with someone a long time, and generally there are cost of living increases included in salary, she might not be able to afford to start over somewhere else, especially with having to pay out of pocket for all of her son's medicine. So I can understand why she's still there.
I have seen this actor be a mean girl too, and she's very good, and. She's very good. I could see her being versatile because I think, you know, that's a lot on the Cratchet character, you know, because you know that's where the heart of the story is. I think, yeah, and you know, the struggling family woman in this case. And yeah, she's really good.
Not particularly sassy, I don't think, but yeah, but yeah, the spirits are Marley, pretty sassy, are a perky flight attendant, very flashy. I was excited by him then I got mad because I I fly on Christmas Day a lot, Like we always go to visit my husband's family, and it's usually works out that that's the day we either fly there or home, and I'm always expecting it to be like Christmasy when you fly, like, oh, the flight attendants are gonna be like decorated and they're gonna sing and like, I don't know, like there'll be like something special happening because it's Christmas and it's really just like another flight every now and then, they might be like happy Holidays. So like when he was all like pure Christmas and doing like Christmas role playing on the on the loud speaker, I was like, ah, that they don't do that, and then I got mad.
So well, I'll tell you this. Pip the actor who was playing Pip the flight attendant. I didn't realize his name was Pip. That's amazing. Yeah, his name is Pitt.
The the character name is Pip. The actor actually works with Aaron Craco on when calls the heart Cuteank cute. And that's something I noticed this year with the Hallmark movies is that they are putting people in, you know, the leads in movies, but they're also putting in people from that they've worked with. Like every single movie has characters from another series or another movie showing up and pretending to be that character. That's not the case with pip here, but because you know in nineteen twenty five it is not going to really work with this movie.
But I just found that really charming. It took me about four movies before I realized, wait a minute, there's a pattern here. Well, they've definitely gotten very like not American horror story like, but very like, here's the actor stable, and so you keep shuffling around, and it is fun when you know you see like, oh, here's Lacy Shaver with this actor and us her love and try and we're just gonna have that actor show up in the next movie. But he won't be it'll be the brother or something. And it is like musical chairs in a way of them just shuffling the board around where you might be in the same movie, but in this case it's your brother and it's it's It has been an interesting thing to watch as my cat just lands with her nails on my on my leg.
Well, the funny thing is is that I didn't really pick up on it until oh gosh, I'm gonna butcher this. I think it's Christmas at the cat Cafe something like that. There's a cafe cat yeah, Catnip Cafe. That's it. Christmas at the Catnip Cafe.
Paul Campbell love him, but he's worked a lot with Kimberly Sastead. The two of them, of course wrote all the three Wise Men stories. And she shows up and she's talking to him, but she's talking to him as a character from another movie that she did with Brandon Ralph called The Nine Casts Christmas Right, where she becomes a veterinarian Yes and so and she and she's like talking to him and she's like, yeah, this is such a great place. I have one of these homes. He's like what, And I'm like, oh, fireman, I have a fireman at home.
And I'm like, oh yeah, she's out together. Even though that way and people got mad because it implied that the first movie didn't end happy. Yes, yeah, yeah, it was just it's just funny and so and it's it just snowballs. It keeps snowballing with every movie, and I'm just waiting for the next one, with which we're friends. It's gonna be this time.
We'll see, because there was one last week that had seriously like sixty percent of the cast of When Calls the Heart in it. Just like the male lead was somebody from that show that I never would have pegged is a male lead, but it worked for me. Interesting, So yeah, all right, sorry, I'm diverting. It's all right. Number six is are villain who in this case is the lead character.
So one of those. But let's talk about montages number seven because we have a few of them. M yeah, well that's the Christmas Carol thing is to be walked through your past, present, and future, and you're gonna get a lot of montages with that. Some of them are longer scenes, but I think the relationship itself is probably the most montage. Definitely.
Yeah. When you see them slowly parting. Right, it's like the Citizen King table, right, only in this case it's like him decorating the tree alone and her looking at spreadsheets. Yes, yeah, uh. There's also in during the present we get like a charades montage, oh, which then comes back at the end for like the you know, the Happy Christmas where it's like, okay, happy Christmas.
So we've got Opening President charades, Opening Present charades, Bubbles charades. Yes, yeah, Charades is always a frustrating game to me because I've like I should be better at it as somebody who talks with my hands a lot. I feel like I should have an edge and I don't, and it ends up getting like what It's always that thing you do when you realize you're like, I don't know you. You don't know me how Like I thought I you spoke my language, but apparently you don't. So it's like how you don't have to be a good artist to play pictionary.
It actually kind of hurts you because you'll take too long. Yeah, I don't. I've been known. I had a rather legendary pictionary session some years ago with my family where I was just going crazy because it was like I could not and I would like to know how you would do it too, because I just took the piece of paper and I just kept kind of circling my hand and making an emotion and just like stabbing the paper, and then that wasn't working, so I would just like take it and scribble and throw the paper away, take it in scribble. And my family is just staring at me after a while, because they're just gonna see, like how red my face can get, how sweaty I can get, trying to get it, And finally the buzzer goes and it was the word what do you think it was?
Anything? Yeah? Jot jot, shot jot? What is I was trying to? I was trying to like pictionary charades, So I was trying to draw an ear and do sounds like and then I was doing a dot That didn't work either, No shot on a pictionary card?
What monster is writing pictionary? I think i'd do boxes and do a check mark in one and an exit another and do another box and just kind of what do you do? You jot down a mark into a box. Maybe that would work. I don't know.
I wouldn't have gotten it. So you and I we're not playing pictionary together. We're not on one team. I think that's what it comes down to. You'd have to go letter by letter.
Okay, this is a jet, but that's cheating. I don't think you're supposed to do that in piction. Ostrich, this is a teacup, all right? Well, moving on, slapstick, can't get what we get? I didn't write anything down, but it.
Doesn't pilot himself always eating. Yes, yes, like giant turkey legs. Yeah. Uh, are. The ghost of Christmas past with the direction hitting her with them all the time.
In the constant seat belt or not seat belts. Then she's jostling around, She's jotting around all over the place, showing. Up in the bathroom, yes, and running into the same woman coming out, which actually did kind of get funny too. Yeah. Yeah, all right, let's talk about her sage old person person.
I mean I would kind of pause it that elder Marley because she is older and she is there to mourn and to give advice. I love that actress. That is a Canadian actress, Gabrielle Rose. She was in The Sweetheart After where she was the bus driver, which is heartbreaking. And she was more recently in Final Destination Bloodlines where she played the grandmother.
So and she's been in a ton of Homer movies. Yeah, well, because it's Canada, it's the Canadian connection. There was an episode of Judge John Hodgeman where there is an argument about the Christmas Carol and that how the other three ghosts are necessary, the three spirits, because as soon as Marley shows up and says, hey, there's an afterlife and if you don't change your ways, you're you're gonna be damned forever. But I just agree stage it's like, why do you need the other three? And that's I think that's the whole point, because with every Screwge story, you kind of think, right, almost every story, by the present, the screw character is saying I get it.
I understand. As soon as the screwg kind of out, it sees tiny tim Usually that's like the point where they're like, no, no, no, I get it. I can go back now. And then it's like, nope, you haven't because because whatever ghost network whoever is in charge of managing that is like no, no, no, we know you think you got it, but you're not. You don't really get it until you see just how bad it gets.
So I get it in theory, and yes, if like suddenly, I you know, knocked on my doorknob and there was the ghost of I don't know bosses passed there, you would think that would be enough for me to be like whatever you say, dude, whatever you say. But remember Scrooge is like I could have just eaten bad cheese, right, this could just be a bad cheese trip. So I don't know. Banking too, is that? Yeah?
The story is necessary because it shows the past, the present, the future shows what Ebenezer's life is going to be like if he doesn't change the ways, and therefore he has a better reason to change his ways other than self preservation. Because you think of the final moment of the present of the future, right when Scrooge all over that whole future where it's like, gee, who do they keep talking about at this funeral that everybody hates? Gee, I don't know who that could be that I couldn't It's not me, it's not me, it's not me. And as a kid, I always was like I don't care, like obviously it's you, duh, dummy, Like these are friendly the people that work for you. But the whole I think thing is like Scrooge is that much denial that like, no, no, no, it's still can't be me.
It can't be me, and like needs to be confronted by his mortality to understand like no, no, no, you have to you have no choice now r Yeah, I really like a Christmas Carol. Yeah, so yeah, definitely giving the advice. You know, change your ways. You're gonna be visited by these ghosts. And so yeah, there's your stage, older person.
Well I mean really yeah, I really if some if a ghost came to you and said, hey, change your ways, you would just be like, uh huh, yeah, I'm just like having a weird yeah yeah, just having a bad dream. But then another another ghost shows up, and then another and then another yeah yeah yeah, now you understand. It's like it's like the elevator pitch and you don't have actually the proof of concept, and or you have the pilot episode of the television show that you're pitching. You know, you need the whole thing to understand, you know where you're going. You can't just change your life on a on an elevator pitch.
You need to see your gravestone. Yep, all right, it's the number ten. It's Santa Claus and sadly yeah not really no that I remember seeing, no nothing, no Santas. But that's all right because we'll go into put the bonus round. So starting with our music public domain holiday songs and or word salad pop song for Christmas, we get both.
Oh yeah yeah. The starts out with a definite. Uh, repositioning, I guess is a good way to put it. Of the most wonderful time of the year. That's the song that they wanted to use.
Y. Yeah, they weren't going to pay the royalties, and so they had somebody write a similar sound the song with similar lyrics but not quite the same Yeah, not quite the same title. Yeah. They do that a lot with. The Christmas month.
Love it. Oh my god, I love the word salad Christmas. That is kind of a Christmas song, but isn't a Christmas song. It's great. Uh.
And then we get a lot of Twelve Days of Christmas and comments on how annoying that song is, which I always appreciate because I also find that song kind of annoying. Chaser version, yeah, straight, no, Chaser does a great version of the Twelve Days of Christmas and it is not anything like you've ever heard. Okay, let's just say. Towards the end it goes into a cover of Toto's Africa with the lyrics changed to the Twelve Days of Christmas. Interesting, Okay, Yeah, it's They're my favorite a cappella group and frankly, I wouldn't listen to any other a cappella group really like Pentatonics.
They drive me nuts, but straight no chaser, Give me straight no chaser every day of my life and I would be happy. But yeah, they are really good at what's the word I'm looking for here? Parodies thirties covers? Yeah, yeah, acapella's covers anyway, and yeah there to the level that they actually get the original artists on, like they have the singer from Total come on and do David Page, Yeah, rock with them. So yeah, my first year of college, I was I don't sing.
I've never been able to sing. My first year of college happened to be at a college that was like the cool thing people did was acapella. So I ended up going to a lot of acapella concerts, and on one day I appreciate the art. On the other hand, it was very it can get very annoying or the people in it were very annoying. But I do appreciate good a cappella still to this day.
Oh you're like then extra in the Pitch Perfect. Movie kind of yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Then I transferred because I was like I cannot deal.
With all the I'm not meant to be awesome. ACA All University I wrote down a note, and I don't know what it meant. I wrote down, God rescue Mary, gentlemen, dash but cats and. Dogs, God rest you marry cats and dogs. I agreed to you with with me now I think was okay, yes.
Yes, that the sisters as kids have like their own little version of that song where they sing about cats and dogs. I knew there was something. I knew. I wasn't having a stroke and I wrote that good, good yep. Okay, Well that's what I'm here for to take.
Language, all right. So next is the food related secret family recipe complicated holiday cocktails or hot chocolate used to represent something sexual. We got any of that. So the bar that seemed like a pretty big deal. We didn't really have a signature drink that I remember the bar, but it seemed to be like an event every Christmas to.
A good place to get together. Small business in danger. His little helping unfortunate kids thing seemed to not be doing well. And that's why he was going to Australia. I guess maybe for funding or something.
He was there he was. There for a talk. He had been invited to do a talk about his charity work. Okay, it seems like a bad idea if you're if you're running a nonprofit that's not doing well, like a plane trip to Australia seems like a bit of a you know, uh cost that maybe is not the wisest choice. Yeah, No, it wasn't that.
There wasn't. I don't remember anything. And I watched it again today and I don't recall seeing anything about or hearing anything about his his place failing until we get to Christmas future. Yeah, that's the impression I got, is that the things were going in the direction they were going, that he'd have to close and do something independently because it wouldn't do well without I guess her assistance, right right, or helping to fund. It, or just have her, you know, by his side.
Yeah, yeah, just to have that bit of hope in his heart which he was losing. That makes sense, all right. The product placement, I don't think there were any real products right as far as you get to the colony. Yeah, that's a real airline, I wondered. But it's not.
We do This brings us to number five. The cloying child. Is the first cloying child. God like the ideal of the child, but what. I understand, Like he had to be somebody's kid, right, there's no way that kid auditioned and got this part over another like this, and we've all and also we've all seen that community theater version of a Christmas Carol right where clearly like the only kid they could get to be in this show was like, oh, missus Cratchett's son, she's she won't do the show if she won't do it.
If she if we can't bring her son, so her son's gonna be tiny Tam. And her son does not want to be tiny Tam. Her son has no line reading, Okay, tiny Tam. God bless us everyone, God bless us everyone. No, God bless us everyone, God bless us everyone.
Better, Like that's what we got with this kid. Yeah, I could, I could kind of force my brain to think, well, he's he's ill, he's ill, and he's got low energy because he can't breathe, right, And I know how that feels, okay, because I have asthma and it is terrifying and you start coughing and you can't breathe. And he didn't play it terrifying. No, he didn't. He played it like it was just something that happened every day, which probably was what that was.
But again, no, not a good actor. This kid was just thrust into a thing that he obviously did not want it to. Yeah, I wrote Tim stiff child actor in a Derby. Oh he's bad. Yeah, not good at all.
But we do have another child that I was really excited about, and we don't get enough of him. But he's there. He has like one line and I found it very funny. Do we remember Oliver the other kid on the plane. Yes, it's like I love math and like, all right, here's a math problem.
I got a I'm like, oh, this this kid's and and the one moment he was on there he did make me laugh. Yeah, actually had two moments. He had the moment when when Jake says he's going to write him a bunch of mouth problems, and then that when they're getting off the plane, Yes, he's she talks to Jake again. Okay, the talks to Oliver again. So yeah, yeah, Oliver has a headshot on IMDb.
I'm guessing Tim do just not. Oliver has a has a was also in OI to the World, and I guess that was it. But I'm curious if Tim is even like shows up on here all right, there he is and again like child actor is like it's never their fault, it's the fault of the direction. But this is really He's been in two other movies, No One Messes With Missus Keller and Desires in Fire was a mini serious know nothing about those he uh yeah, yeah, that's that's uh as nice as. I can be.
Nice Derby like like the Derby Derby had style. Yes, all right. Number six was finding the perfect tree. I don't think we had any tree. I mean they were on a plane.
Yeah, no tree, yeah, necessary empty coffee cup acting. Sure, it was there. I just don't think I noticed it. I don't recall any drinking at all. Really, I think with being in office there's bound to be people drinking coffee.
I just don't recall actually seeing it. It didn't I did nothing. None of the drinking stood out to me. Instead, we got something I haven't seen in a while that I used to always make a note of, and it's been so long since I've had it, but I kind of forgot about it until I was reminded of the glory of empty Christmas present. Acting yes, yes, yes, yes, right when you have a.
Pile of perfectly wrapped, glued together Christmas packages and you just flinger around like they're empty Starbucks cup do when they show up because it is now the ending, when they show up to the sister's house with all the presence, and it's like, that's the presence, right, it's a it's an armful of like square long rectangle package, slightly less long rectangular package, and so on. And then they're opening presents and the girl opens up this life sized teddy Bear and I'm like, was that like a Casper mattress version of a teddy Bear? Because where was that thing packaged? It was gigantic, Yes, the string and it just explodes out. They hid it in the rental car Indiana Jones using it to get out of a crashing plane.
Exactly right. Number eight actors trying hard not to eat something on camera. I don't think we'd ever see her eat. She definitely doesn't eat. I mean the ghost, as we mentioned, the Ghost of Christmas Present sort of like takes big old bites of things.
When we get the cut to the sister's house for Christmas dinner, there's like a very long shot of her talk and everybody has a plate, and you just see everybody like with their hands like touching the plate but not eating anything because obviously we're told don't eat anything. But it's like she's talking for like two minutes and everybody is just sort of like moving food on their plate. So reminds me of a Saturday Night Live sketch in which there's an argument I guess at Thanksgiving or something like that, and they'll just argue really loudly, everybody shouting at once and then gets silent and they just start putting up their food but never actually eating it. And you just hear the cutlery on a plate.
I remember that, such an annoying noise, and they just keep cutting things into smaller and smaller pieces and then moving stuff around on their plate. Yeah. I have these like taco holders, is like little steel things that like if you make tacos, it like helps stand them up. Oh yeah, and I love them, except they're just made of steel. So when you put them on a plate, no matter what you do, like if you the over it goes and it's the most sound.
And I'm like, do I put like rubber adding underneath them or what? Or do I just not use them, but that seems unreasonable because it's the best thing for tacos. So, uh, number nine canadianisms. I've got Canadian people in there, but. Oh yes we do.
I don't know if I heard him Tyler slip up at all. Yeah, I didn't catch him. I don't know that I realized he was Canadian. So I think he's pretty he's Canadian. The immediately I'm like, well, let me look up if Bobby is Canadian after her pronunciation of the word h O U s e, and immediately it's like was born in Calgary.
I'm like, yes, I tell that the bathroom lady also has an oot instead of an out. Yeah, catch a couple. Oh yeah, It's like you're it's tuned for it. Yep, let's see. I remember whether I was just gonna say I have never heard Tyler say oat?
Yeah, never sorry, hear anyone? That's the one that you catch. Yeah, Because I mean, like you think of the words the most commonly used words by anybody, and like most of us say that weren't a lot. So it's like, yeah, are you gonna say it? I guess.
I guess it's because he's lived in l A for a while. Now, so he just doesn't. He just doesn't have to do that anymore. But yeah, guess depends on where you are in Canada too, because apparently like Manitoba sounds a lot like the Utah accent in Yeah. And he's he was born and raised in Ottawa, So which is the capital of the Yeah, of the truck area.
Yeah, is that right? Anyway, long story short, doesn't. Matter of. Geography. QUI I would never have known that he was he was Canadian if I hadn't.
He doesn't. It's not like he's from Saskatchewan or something. You know, Regina, Newfe's. I love New Fees. And that is a particular accent.
Like I've known somebody from New Newfoundland and it was like I can't quite pin it. It's like I'm from Newfoundland's. From Newfoundland? Yeah, yeah, because I went to accents. Yep, yep.
It's very particular. And I would also say at this point if anyone hasn't seen Come from Away, there is a vig version of it. It is one of the best musicals I've ever wonderful in my life. Yes, and you can get a lot of New Fee accents. Oh yeah there yeah, Yeah, and it's actually coming.
It was, I mean it was on Broadway for a while. I got to see it like a little bit before it closed. They're doing it at paper Mill Playhouse in Connecticut, which is often like a starting point before it goes something goes back to Broadway. So there's a chance that will come back. But it is a wonderful show, and you can also just listen to listen to the soundtrack.
It's lovely and very very very uplifting and sweet and all that. So yeah, I cry a lot during that one. Yes, it gets me too, me too, all right. Number ten is the warm Weather Watch, which I mean they're on a plane, so they kind of are you know, they don't have to be cold. Yeah, there's the spot where they just met each other and they're hanging out and getting to know each other in a very like after midnight kind of way.
Yep, yep in Manhattan. Yeah, so it's like, is it cold? Is it not cold? I can't tell. We didn't have to be Did they meet at Christmas?
They might not have right to say, yeah, all right. Eleven is the old people matchmaking our leads, which we don't really get here, right, really, there's no Yeah, there's no, because her parents are out of the picture. So now we're up to the last thing, which is our the fashion our favorite fashion moment, peacoat based or non pea coat based. I'm going to say I was expecting. So I'm really okay, how old are these people and what year did they graduate college?
Because I was very confused on what they were trying to do with like them in the past, because when they're like taking selfie as if it's like a new thing, I'm like, well, what year were selfies really a thing on cell phones? And it felt like they were too old for that. I don't know. Yeah, I would just put both of them in their mid thirties, okay, is what I was guessing. So yeah, the selfie thing, I just I'm just like, okay, I don't know.
Don't thing too hard about it. And our air marshal was a look for sure. Oh yeah. I thought it was also interesting that it's what the black air marshal is the scary thing to this white business choice. Choice, that's a choice.
I mean, he plays it well and you can tell us like it's definitely a nod to passenger fifty seven. It's like, oh yeah, we're gonna have air marshal. He's gonna be black, he's gonna be wearing sunglasses to hide his face, and he's not gonna say a word. But he performed it really well. He did.
It did feel like a choice by somebody. Yeah, like, am I let. Me get to this intimidating guys in her fantasy experience on this plane? Is a black guy. Yeah, he's an air marshal.
So I guess that's kind of removes the curse of it. Maybe because he's a person in a position of authority, I guess kind of helps it. He's in. He was there to be terrifying. Yeah, that is what he was there to do.
That is what the ghost of Christmas Future is. It's there to terrify you. Now we know what kind of woman she is. It's my favorite of the of the three spirits. I was really happy to see their marshall.
I I did like her. She had like a blue pea coat that had these very like sort of military buttons. I like that. Look, this is another movie. I cannot take this.
These friggin' white over, these white coats white. Why I understand that this woman is not taking the subway, but she is still getting in a taxi, She is still walking down the street. There are puddles, there are nuts, nuts being made, and like the smell of nuts will waft on your coat and it will change your coat into a nut. And I can't there's so much white outerwear this year, and it's just ridiculous. Yeah, because if you live anywhere where there's snow, you see what happens to the snow over time.
It just gets gray and black. And just like that's gonna happen to your coat being out and about just somebody's bumping into is gonna say, you're on the elevator. Somebody is gonna sprinkle coffee on you, no matter how careful you are, no matter how important you are, it's gonna happen. Well, And even her leisure suit, her jogging pants and her hoodie, it's still white. Like what are you doing?
Right? I mean, in a way, I feel like that is a power statement of fashion of like no, se I don't agree with it, Like I feel like Gwen if Paul Trow probably wears a lot of white around her house. But it's such a every time it makes me upset. Anything stand out to you on the fashion front. Tyler looks.
Yeah, he gets to wear a lot of swetters, with those family types, with the just like the three buttons on. The caller. Love those, yep, and the ones where they the picture where they had matching sweaters. Yes. So now overall, what were your thoughts?
What did you think? Do you recommend it? Are you happy with your pick? I am extremely happy with my pick because it has Tyler in it, and Tyler never fails me, never, never, never. I might not like a co star of a movie he's in, but it doesn't matter because he makes up for it.
He can take he can take the reins and make me like that movie no matter what. So but I love Aaron Craco so much as well, and so I was so happy to see them back together for this movie, and I really enjoyed it. It was probably it's probably up there in versions of a Christmas Carol that I've seen done in modern times. About you, Dave, I agree. I think Tyler is like it's like Robert Downey Jr.
He does that too, because speaking of Gwyneth Paltrow in the Iron Man movies, it's like he elevates her, which is saying something, Yeah, is that you know, if he's in the scene with somebody, they kind of rise up to meet him. Yeah, he has really good chemistry with everyone, Tyler. It's just you can tell he's like fun to be in a scene with. Yeah, he's very natural, you believe him. Yep.
So Yeah, the acting's great. It's well written, the jokes land, the literary references. If you're there to spot them, they're really well fitted in. There's some nice surprises. The way they do the spirits, the way they hit you know, all the plot beats of a Christmas Carol is interesting.
And yeah, there's some touching, heart felt moments like the relationship with her sister. With her sister, Yeah, I was really surprised by And again, like I was saying to my husband earlier, I'm like, I think I hit like the breaking point of the season, because what tends to happen is like suddenly I'm watching the movies and realizing like, oh, it's doing the thing it's supposed to do on me, and it feels like that's not like, oh, I'm still supposed to be above this. It's like no, like what is that in my wait? Is that something in my eye? Am I did I did I get like an eyelash, Oh no, what is this wet thing here?
And I did, like I found myself welling up at the end because I I'm a sucker for like the the Scrooge the next morning, like I love, Like that's what I want from an actor. It's like I want to watch a screw an actor play Scrooge knowing when I'm going to get to boy, what day is it, It's gonna be like all the joy in the world, and this one when it gets to that. And I really liked me I think because it did put kind of the importance on the sister, which was really nice because it was and the sister earlier in the movie also is like kind of that constant person there saying like, no, I believe in my sister. I want the best for her. And even that was a really sweet moment.
And I just I don't know, I found myself like thinking like, oh my gosh, my icy heart has melted, Like I'm into this movie. It's getting me. Oh yeah, I recommend it too. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Well, the coin toss is what picked it so well done.
It was heads for Ted and Tails for Tyler and landed on Tails. Well it worked for me, so well, thank you both for joining me. Please tell everybody where they can find you, where they can watch you and listen to you. You can find me most places as dj Evil Dave. I have a YouTube channel where I post some videos plus links to the podcast Shield Population.
We do two Star Trek podcasts together, Shield Population, which is a random Star Trek podcast on which we just choose randomly an episode and review it as a standalone thing. Could it be? The movies could be any series, including the animated series and Prodigy and the Whole Kitten Kboodle nine hundred and fifty from there, Yeah. Nine and fifty four and counting because Starfleet. Academy, which we've already had screeners too.
And yeah, you can't say anything, say. Anything about it, but yeah, so uh yeah. And the Boldigo is specifically a Star Trek podcast about strange New Worlds. And yeah, we're waiting for the next season of that to start recording, so it's on hiatus at the moment. Okay, very cool, all right, same for you, Randy.
Yeah, obviously we do the same podcast. I just I'm that at social media. I don't have the spoons to keep checking things and checking replies and stuff like that. It just gets overwhelming. But you can find me on Blue Sky as Brandywine brandy with an eye not a y.
So you can find me as brandywine because I got an early and Blue Skuy and no one had taken all the Brandywines. Yet. You still doing Instagram? Oh yeah, I do Instagram, but mostly it's about posting book reviews. Now.
Oh yeah, she's an advanced copy reader for romance novels. Reviews. Yeah. It got crazy when I got involved in a couple of series that were like twelve books long, and the books were coming out every three days, and so I was like, okay, okay, I got, I got, I can't. I've never been late.
I've never been late, and I've now no. Things are quieting down because I have a job where sometimes I don't have a lot to do and I can have books. You didn't hear that from me? Is getting recorded? Don't worry?
Yeah, absolutely, yeah, don't don't tell on me, guys. And yeah. So it's it's a lot of fun. I enjoy it, and I'm very picky about the authors for whom I read, and I think that that's something that everyone should do. Anyone who's an ARC reader needs to that the person that they're going to read for get a sample of their work before they really realize that the book's a complete train wreck.
I've only had two train wrecks so and I've I'm getting close to two hundred books that I have done it. It's good cause I find the hardest thing to finish when it's when something you don't enjoy it, Like you can watch it if you're watching a movie and you hate it, Look, how long is it going to be? Two hours? Max? Okay, I can do this.
You're watching a TV series like you know what, I can check out. But when you're reading a book that isn't working for me, A book is such a like, no, I'm all in on the book right, there's nothing else happening around me, Like this is my entire brain, it's in these pages. If it's not working for me, that is a hard hard thing to commit to. So yeah, I just I have. Those are the only two and I'm not even going to say who they are because that would be rude, but those are the only twoth I didn't finish understood the rest of them.
I finished. Now some I have liked more than others, and that's just how the cookie crumbles. But I wouldn't give it up. I really enjoy doing that. Well, excellent, Well both of you, have a merry Christmas.
And thank you for joining me. On the twelve day of Christmas. Much You're lovely to me on the twelve day loved to me. Twelve drummers drumming like Olympus upon this sage about up eleven Popper's party, ten lots off up to ladies to top up of Amercan pats. On the top of a bat.
I had Christmas down the car, put Christmas the cart time, Christmas, No, the car, my Christmas. But to business stand, do you attack the halls into that take the habit. To do. To portray in a big petrate. While changing the big picture we're in.
