The clock is ticking. Be in front of your TV sets for the Horror-Thon, and remember the big giveaway at 9. Don't miss it, and don't forget to wear your masks. The clock is ticking. It's almost time.

Happy Halloween, Halloween, Halloween. Happy Halloween, Halloween. Silver is your lock. Hi, this is Tom Atkins. You're listening to Movie Meltdown.

It's time for Sofa Theater. Hi. Hello. My name's Ellie Grimbridge. I know.

Dan Chalice. I know. One of the nurses told me I could find you here. I saw you at the funeral. Thank you.

I'm sorry about your father. Did my father say anything to you the night he died? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. He said, tell Ellie I love her.

Bad liar. Thank you anyway. Wait a second. I saw something that night. I don't know.

Your father came into the hospital. I thought he was crazy, out of his mind. He's hanging on to a Halloween mask. He wouldn't let it go. And what he said was, they're going to kill us all.

And in a little while, he was dead. And I don't know what the hell is going on. Your vampire things are wrong. They're protruding outward. I have.

You're a buck two vampire. I have a problem. I need an orthodontist. Aw, I just realized other things that I watched this week. Because we needed it.

To be longer. I know. I'm coming down for my sugar high. Eat more candy. I actually committed to not eat any more candy, but I did.

I don't believe it. The dark chocolate is too sweet. I hate dark chocolate. Welcome to Movie Meltdown Silver Theater. Once again, I am Brian.

I am still Misty, and I am still awesome. Still Misty, still awesome. I'm not Misty. No, that's not what I was saying. You just introduced yourself.

I was repeating. I was repeating. It's all right. I understand everybody wants to be like me. Marlena, not Misty.

Marlena, I was not saying that I was Misty. I was repeating her. I was quoting her. To be fair. Okay.

Marlena, though. Oh. Oh, now I'm confused. Welcome to our spooky return to the Halloween episode. Woo-hoo.

Whee! I feel like if you would have given me some time, I could have come up with a better name for this. You've had a year. I've got five seconds. Go.

You've had since last time we did this, so. I gotta rock. All right, we're ready to get into this, uh. Not yet. Exciting adventure?

No. Aw. This week's Silver Theater feature is Halloween 3, Season of the Witch. Ooh, ooh, scare-a-thon. Scare-a-thon, I just thought of it.

But we only watched one movie. It would be awesome if it were a string of movies and we would watch a scare-a-thon, but. Let's save that for next year. Scare-a-thon. I can barely get you guys to watch one movie.

I saw tons of movies this week. Yeah, but you didn't want to be around me. No, but Spectacular. Scare-tacular. Scare-tacular.

This is not the same thing. At least I'm trying. I know. I gotta rock. The year is 1982.

Director Tommy Lee Wallace. The plot, and I'm going to go ahead and throw the spoiler alert right now because the plot, courtesy of IMDb, already totally spoiled what I guess really if you were Completely clueless, you wouldn't find out until midway into this movie. According to IMDb, a large Halloween mask-making company has plans to kill millions of American children with something sinister hidden in the Halloween mask. Yeah, they just spilled the whole thing right there. Thanks, IMDb.

But before we get into it, it's time for... So let's swing the vault door wide open and invite Mr. Tom Adkins into our little Halloween festivities here. So here's what Tom has to say about Halloween 3. Oh, Halloween 3 was a lot of fun.

That was a good time. Some people don't like it because it doesn't have Michael Myers in it, but it was John Carpenter's intention to shoot an anthology of Halloween movies from the beginning. Have everyone be a different story. But they had done, you know, one exploded and Michael Myers was the man and they did two, but Halloween 3 was already in the shoot and the producer said, Well, go ahead, yes, you make that one, but don't ever make another one that doesn't have Michael Myers. It seems like it's gotten a lot more appreciation as time's gone on.

There's a lot of people I know that are just. Oh, I know, a lot of people like it. It's a good, it stands up on its own. It's a fun film to watch on Halloween, and I think because it doesn't have Michael Myers in it, that it's different. It's not the usual slasher, gasher thing.

It's good. See the one who shot Keanu Reeves in the face? You're so obsessed with that. And I'm pretty sure it's not Keanu Reeves. It's Nicolas Cage.

Either way, I don't like either one. I'm still fucking both. Line them up side by side, knock. Them both out. That's not in this movie at all.

It should be. It'd make every movie better. Well, thank you to Tom for, you know, not only his thoughts on it, but for explaining to everyone why this movie is so weird within the series. Because I was explaining to Marlena as she came to the end of the movie and was like, what the fuck? Where's Michael Myers?

I tried to give at least the basics of what Carpenter's Plan originally was and how they scrapped that whole idea. How they realized it sucked as an idea. I think it would have been a great idea. I can see that. At least a different Halloween movie about a scary Halloween thing.

I think it's the one that became so ingrained being Michael Myers. Yeah, that was just so iconic. It was so integral. Oh, God. Fancy words.

Look at you. I was trying to spell, because everyone says, and it's not just me. I caught this from somewhere. People say integral. And I was like, how do you spell that?

And I looked up. That's not a word. That's just what everyone thinks it is. Integral. Integral.

I-N-T-E-G-R-A-L. That's why. There you go. It's going to be grammarizing all you bitches. It's going to be grammarizing all you bitches.

This show has now become educational programming and we need some sort of kickback from the government. I feel really dumb for ever having to look up how to spell that and not knowing. It as a word. That's why I don't use that word. I don't use words that I'm not 100% sure of their meanings.

Oh, that's all it means. And I bitch at those that do. I don't know what any of these words mean. I know what the word means. I like it that way.

But, yeah. I don't know. I think it would have worked. That's the thing. If the first one wouldn't have been Halloween, if it wouldn't have been the Michael Myers kickoff awesome fucking movie that it was, if the first one would have been along the level of this movie, I think it could have become a series like this.

I think it is the first Halloween. It's phenomenal. It changed the entire horror world. So it's really hard to then try to bait and switch people and change it up midway in and be like, Hey, remember that series you liked? Here's number three.

We're just going to slap a number on the end, but we're not going to have anything to do with the other movies. It might have even worked better if it hadn't had one and two with the same characters. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Or just, why didn't they just call it Halloween Season of the Witch? Like, if they tried to, right off the bat, pretend like, okay, this isn't really part of that series.

The fact that they fucking numbered it three in the series... even though it had nothing to do with one and two. That was their mistake. It's like if they just made it like these other ones that they do, they just give a sub name to, and then it becomes sort of its own little standalone movie. But yeah, this one, the numbering it was a bad idea. I was wondering about this.

You know how if you buy, you can buy like sets, you know, like you can buy a like Freddy Krueger set. Yeah. If you buy a halloween set is this in it i haven't sure. Well no i mean it's still it's part of their arc of movies i mean it's the same studio it's the same you know producer involved in all of them so i mean it it's still sort of along the same lines but to me it's yeah it's kind of weird How it never comes into play other than the fact that the movie exists within the fake movie or vice versa. That's pretty funny.

We can get to that later. All right. Where would you like to begin with this one? The fucking cheesy intro thing with the fucking computer girl i was mad. At that i'm like marlena specifically said she hated it.

I was like dude not only that it was stupid but the fact that it fucking went on for fucking ever i'm just like it's a little lengthy and then i was like oh it's a jack o'lantern it's a jack o'lantern i was really i felt proud of myself for figuring it out how long did it take you like I don't know. Right before you saw it was a jack-o'-lantern. No, it was not. The scene where it started flashing. You ID'd it at that point.

It's a jack-o'-lantern. No, it was five seconds after they showed it. It was when I noticed that the little black thing went up into a point of my mouth. I was like, really? This is stupid.

It started off at that point where I was just like, I don't like this already. It went on too long, but I will give them it is a jack-o'-lantern for the computer age. It became, and as the story goes on, it's actually very fitting, I think. Again, it's way too long and kind of drawn out. But yeah, as the story plays out, it seems like a fitting intro, actually.

And probably because it annoyed you, so did the rest of the movie. It went on too long. It did go on way too long. But a lot of opening titles seem to drag on. They just don't stay on the same little weird image graphics.

It was like that. Thing in Star Wars Episode I or in Harry Potter. the race scene that went on too long. The pod race is ridiculously too long or shouldn't be in there when you take your pitch match that went on too long oh that did too oh god that first quidditch match is like how many days that goes on forever yeah neither of which are in this movie all right so um i. Didn't like the music that much it seemed it was too monotonous and over i can understand it It seemed like it was trying to build tension with the way it was just like... But then it just went on and on and on and on and on.

That damn song. It just kept going and going. That's a different thing. But the music itself... I mean, Carpenter co-wrote...

He's co-credited for the original music. And you can hear it. There's not a lot of fucking writing going on. It's the same thing over and over and over again. But you can hear it.

The stuff that he's known for that's really good, I hear in there. But then. I'll go along with you. There's moments... There's the moment...

To jump ahead towards where he's, like, on the run, trying to get away from the cars and stuff. Dude, and that whole segment, it sounds like there's a smoke alarm going off for, like, five minutes. And I'm just like, what are you doing? That's what I was like, what is that? I was like, are you just, have you sampled a smoke alarm and you're just playing with it on your SK1?

I mean, what the fuck are you doing, John? I thought it was part of the movie. I was like, what's going on? I know. Really, like, it went on so long, I was like, I was trying to decide if it was something that was actually going on within the movie.

And finally it faded off with the music. I was like, oh. Okay, I'm not on board with you on that one. But there's moments where you can hear it is John Carpenter. You can hear the very...

Because he is kind of known for that sort of plotted out, very repetitive... synthy but not like bad synthy it was kind of some of the cooler synths you could get it just seems overused but it yeah there's moments that it's actually over the top too sometimes like sometimes he uses it really well and it does build tension because right at the jump scare moment it does the little and it kind of blares out at you and it works it takes. Too long to build up with it though it's like you have that same fucking sound clip for like 10 minutes and you're like alright just fucking get to it already what what what just fucking hell. Yeah I have issues with the music. Again, there's parts of it that are good that I do hear the John Carpenter in.

It's a score. It's a score. I just pretty much did not like this movie at all. There are a couple of things I liked about it. I think it's one of those I thought I'd seen.

It's another one of those that I went back and I thought I'd seen bits and pieces of it on cable growing up and stuff. I went back and watched it this week and I was just like, I do not remember any of this. I really don't think I ever sat down and watched even parts of it. I know for a fact that I watched it because me and my mom and my stepdad said we watched all the Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger, all these movies. We sat down and watched them all.

I know I've seen this Why do I not remember? It's just forgettable. It's extremely forgettable. I guess. Because I remember we went back and re-watched 2 right before Halloween H2O came out because that one picks up where 2 leaves off, basically.

Again, in the weird messing up the arc of the story, they almost pretend like all the other movies in between 2 and H2O don't exist. Yeah, they can't make up their mind what they want to do with this storyline. The most terrifying part with me was the whole little village of redheads, the Scottish town. Scottish or Irish? They were Irish. irish whatever the fuck they were it was a nightmare town in this movie yes did you sleep during that part too i didn't sleep at all was i asleep during that part did i just dream it.

No because i remember at one point i was like ah let's blame it on the irish i see all the evils of the world let's blame the. Irish redheaded kid that died i was like fucking i. Was thinking that when i saw that kid come in i was like oh now that kid yeah but i mean he was an obnoxious kid regardless of hair color he was an obnoxious little child. The movie just seemed kind of one other thing that really bothered me the color of tom adkins hair the just married it seemed really badly dyed or like it was a wig. I just couldn't decide if that was like right at that point where he was like going gray but like the mustache hasn't caught up yet so it was like.

Because i mean it was badly dyed or. It could have been trying to cover up that i don't even know for sure but i do have to say with with tom it's like I actually like him more. I mean, we just watched him in Night of the Creeps, and everybody loves him. I mean, that's an iconic character in Night of the Creeps. I think he's a lot more likable in this movie, which is odd because he's sort of a horrible person.

He is. He's a shitty father. He's a terrible father. He's the worst dad I've ever seen in my entire fucking life. Linda, I can't get out of it.

I'm really sorry. No, it's just a bunch of doctors talking about boring stuff. I can't get out of it. Linda, Linda, take it easy. I'll be back to take them trick-or-treating, I promise.

I'll call. No, I can't remember the name of the hotel. I'll call you Monday. I gotta go. Bye.

And it took me, like, the second time I watched it before I realized what a fucking drunk he is. No, I noticed that, like, right off the bat. I was just like, yeah, this guy's kind of a deadbeat alcoholic, right? I knew he was a deadbeat dad, but it took me, like, that third time when I really realized, like, almost every scene you see him in that's not... In the middle of an action segment, he's got a drink in his hand.

How about that slutty-ass girl? Here she is going to find out what happened to her dad. As soon as their trip starts, she's fucking naked. Well, they go from zero to making out like that. That's another thing that pissed me off.

Bitch jumps straight out of the shower, grabs her towel, barely pats off, then wraps the blanket. Her ass is still wet. Don't put a fucking blanket around your wet ass because if you're going to use it on the blanket later, it's going to be a mildewy. See, it's sad that I was kind of like, well, that's a bad idea. Dry yourself off?

Are you that fucking incompetent that you cannot fully dry yourself with a towel first? She's kind of special. She's a slut. That too. But then Tom kind of is too.

How old are you anyways? I'm older than I look. I'll get to that later. I'm not so sure about that one. Let's see.

I was trying to see what other stuff I just sort of noticed along the way. One other thing I never needed to see. Tom's ass? I'm along with you on that one. Tom seems like a great guy, but I didn't need to see his ass.

Better than Dennis Franz's ass. Better than Jeffrey Harvey Keitel's ass. Everybody's seen all of these. Mm-hmm. So, yeah, this was definitely taking a trip back.

It was back in the day, back when, number one, people knew what a pager was, and only doctors had them. And then, also. Only doctors have pagers now. Do they still have pagers? I would hope not.

Do they still have pagers? Doctors still have pagers. That's so sad. Doctors and ambulance drivers still have pagers. Why don't they have cell phones or something?

You can't use. Cell phones interfere with pacemakers and heart monitors. Well, that'd just be funny. Come on. So doctors.

No, I mean, all the people I know that are EMTs still have pagers. Actually, it was at my friend's house, and I was like, why the fuck do you have a pager? I was like, oh. You're an EMT. What year is it?

Are you a drug dealer? In 1990? Yeah. Let me check my piece. Oh, oh, 666.

That means they need some whatever. I don't really know. I never had a baby. She's lying. So, yeah, it was also a time when sexual harassment, it's kind of okay.

It's okay to grab your co-worker's ass. Yeah. I like that. I do it all the time. What are you talking about?

I was like, is that just because it's a long time ago or it's because he's a doctor and he can kind of do whatever the hell he wants? I think it just depends on where you work. Because, I mean, we do that at my job all the time. And it's totally funny. You grab those ashes all the time?

Yeah. Hump through legs? Yeah. Y'all blackjack my own? Yep.

All the time. All the time. Is this just Jessica? You keep grabbing her. No, this is everybody.

This is what we all do. Even my boss is in. This is why we don't come to. Where you work. Yeah.

No wonder I don't want to eat food from there. So. Yeah, I don't know. Where do we even go? I can tell you what I liked about the movie.

There was something you liked about this movie? Yeah. What was it? That catchy theme song. Uh-oh.

That theme song. To Halloween, two more days to Halloween. That made me think of the Willy Wonka song. It made me want to kill. You love Oompa Loompas, come on.

No, I like the original Oompa Loompas. Deep Roy, he can suck my balls. Yeah, that part sucks in that movie. Wait, that whole movie sucks. Yeah, but what I like....

What I liked about that movie and what I like about all stories and movies and things, I guess, because I grew up on, like, Ray Bradbury and the Twilight Zone and things like that. I like and I've always had this obsession with fake places and fake things that are fake. Things that are, like, that look real but are fake. Like, fake food. Like, wax museums.

Fake towns. Don't know why. I kind of have an obsession with it. I always have. But I like that the people in this movie, like, all those, like, The guys, his henchmen or whatever, were fake.

They were like robots. I don't consort with those of the robot race. We don't like your kind in here. You like to leave them outside. Yeah, but that's one thing I liked about it.

I don't know why. I'd like that in anything, so it doesn't make this movie special. Well, that's what is so weird. By the end of this, I was just like, this is the weirdest Halloween movie ever. And not because it's Halloween in the Michael Myers, like just in general, if you didn't have that title, if this was just season of the witch that came out, It's the weirdest freaking Halloween movie ever because you go from trick-or-treaters out on the lawn to kids dying and robots involved in Stonehenge.

It's like the biggest mesh of crap just piled. Into a movie. It just seemed like it was doing stuff to be like, oh, this is going to be weird. Watch this. Kind of.

And then when. The masks like killed the kids it's like why are there like bugs and snakes coming out of it i don't know. I wasn't questioning it that bad when i was a redhead because i blame sawin yeah who sawin. Was that what sawin it's a pagan halloween holiday. Oh was that in the movie because i slipped through it.

Nice that's what they blame it all on oh the the ancient origins of halloween and that's basically why our uh big villain here is doing all of this is to because it's been 3 000 years and it's time for another you know sacrifice of mass quantities of people i thought. He was just doing it because he was pissed because he got a rock i got a rock yeah i got a rock i got a rock. Is is salmon is it is it pronounced that way when it's spelled s-a-m-h-a-i-n. I think so Well, that's the thing. Because it's the same thing.

Yeah, it's the same thing. And I specifically was noting because that's how he said it in the movie. Well, that's how I've heard it pronounced. Again, I've heard it pronounced many different ways. Most of which is once it became a band name, people just read it like it's what it said on the t-shirt.

That's what I've wondered. That Sam Haines awesome. That's what I've wondered about. Obviously not into paganism, so I can't tell. You, but.

But people who are really into it and like to be pissy will correct you on the pronunciation of it at every turn. So I was just trying to match the movie because we're talking about the movie. I really could give a rat's ass in the real world. In fact, usually I refer to it wrong because I like to piss off those people that are a little too into that shit. I'm like, you know what?

That's cool if you like it, but why do you need to attack other people with your. Go fucking live in a. If you want to be that into it, go fucking live in a cave in the forest. Eat shit and die. Oh, man.

By the time it gets to the robots, you know you've taken a crazy turn. You took the bus to crazy town. Yeah, because it's basically robots that run on pulpy orange juice. I hate pulpy orange juice. Well, it was very viscous as it came out of them.

I was like, what the hell's going on here? I like orange juice, but it's got to be pulp-free or I won't drink that shit. I actually prefer pulpy orange juice. Oh, that's gross. If I ever have a robot, it better run on pulp-free orange juice.

You start working on those. Maybe the pulp would clog shit up in there. Yeah, that's true. Oh, man. Clogged pulp arteries.

Not good. Not good. Yeah, I don't know what's up with that. Yeah, that's. I don't know.

I mean, when I guess I like... And in the end, I mean, for as much as I'll call it out for being goofy and just being... a lot of stuff thrown into one movie that some of which doesn't make any sense if you want to yeah no if you want to think some of it does but that's arguable. What exactly in this movie actually made sense. What i think was cool i won't go with sense i'll go with what i thought was cool was the part that i didn't see coming was the part that because i expected it to be you know crazy i knew it was about a guy making mask and there was some sort of plot about you know taking over kids actually i was I was hoping it was more of like, it was going to turn all the kids into zombies and they were all become like little killing machines when they watched it.

That would have been awesome. Like just killing goosebumps. I say, I think so. And that maybe that's why I was hoping it would turn out like that because this, yeah, I was like, okay, when are they going to start killing their parents? Cause that would be pretty cool.

It's like rather watch a marathon of goosebumps. I kind of would do. That's pretty awesome. So no, what I, what I thought was actually cool. Cause yeah, I was kind of hoping for that mask turn and it didn't happen and Instead, it was just supposed to kill everybody, which that's horrific.

That's horrific in its own right. I'll give them that. But the part that I thought was cool that I didn't expect was the creepy paranoia thing and the whole creepy plot that took place that was sort of like this grand, it really has this Big Brother feel to it. A lot of movies seem like it. And it really, I think it was this like, late 70s, all the way through the 80s, there was this very, and it's funny that it's a John Carpenter movie, because John Carpenter, well, it's tied to John Carpenter, but it's not, he didn't even write the story.

I thought maybe he was credited for the story, because I could see this coming for him, because he has a very anti-establishment reputation, especially within his movies. This This, to me, came off a lot like They Live. Like in the middle, there's a very big section that's pretty close to the feeling you get in They Live. Yeah, I wasn't big on that movie either. Or even like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the 70s one we watched, had a very like everybody's against you sort of feeling.

And to me, that middle part is kind of cool. Like it enters into this area where he realizes there's something bigger going on here and he's really trying to figure out what it is. So you've got this sort of like anti-establishment messages and you've got all these like you know creepy guys in suits hanging around watching everything you do and i don't know it sends out a lot of weird messages you can take however you want but i do like everybody that's evil basically is dressed like a businessman So there is almost like this. The man. The man is evil, and the man will not only keep you down, but also squish your head on occasion.

I am crushing your head. I am crushing your head. I am crushing both of your heads. But yeah, businessmen are evil. Corporations are evil.

I mean, there's definitely ways that you can take that. What if you're like a car salesman? Well, they're evil, too. We all know they're evil. That's true.

That example. That example. So if you're like a salesman, you're automatically... You're innately evil. But.

Probably one of the robot race too. Yeah. Robots. One of them robots. But.

I like. And this is a theme in a lot of horror movies. Like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. And House of a Thousand Corpses. Which is basically just a rip off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

But. Watching those two movies back to back made me realize. Like yeah. Yeah. Not like it was a secret, but.

It really, yeah. I mean, we know that. It's just kind of like, okay, let's do it again. I'll go into that later. Yeah.

What movie did we watch last year for our Halloween extravaganza? The Trick or Treat. I can't remember if that's what we actually watched or not. God, we should have watched that movie again. That was awesome.

Yeah, but. There's so many good Halloween movies out there, and in general, that I love to watch. I mean, I have like a list at home of stuff that I want to watch before Halloween actually gets here. Like, I want to watch Lady in White again, and I want to watch all my stuff. I make a whole list of stuff that.

I want to watch. But. It's just a common theme in so many backwoods, kind of take place in the country, haunted movies, horror movies. It's like the person escapes. They make it to town.

They think they're safe. And that person is like Billy Bob's, but the axe is like brother or whatever. It's like everybody's in on it. The whole town is in on it. Which is, I mean, it is that same, you know, you can't trust anyone.

I mean, it's a very basic theme that everybody, I mean, that's what half of the Twilight Zone episodes were. That's what half the Hitchcock movies played upon that, you know, you're, you know, that wrong man thing where you're running and everybody's against you and, you know, you can't trust anybody. You don't know where to go. So it plays on that. And I think this... taps into that.

Like, the middle part of this movie, really, I thought that part was cool. Again, I think because I just didn't see it coming. Like, I had, I expected it to be a big cheesy horror movie, so we get midway into this, and it's this crazy, well, it does have like that, yeah, it's really almost more of a sci-fi movie than it is a horror movie. I mean, it's definitely very horror-themed because of Halloween, and it's got a lot of, like, bloody kills along the way, but the grand story is really a sci-fi story, so it's funny that it ended up in the middle of the Halloween series of all things, but it definitely going back to that big brother thing. I mean, you think about how there's cameras watching everything in the town and basically the, the man, the big evil, uh, he has like stuff tapped.

He's got microphones everywhere. He's listening to everything. Everyone says anytime they say something that he doesn't want them to say, they almost immediately get killed. He sends, you know, his little legions out to take them out. So it's, that whole part of it is kind of creepy and works on a different level not even like a horror kind of creepy just like a a you know more of a through that part nice oh i don't know but.

I like that element in any movie but. I don't know. I thought that part was cool. And it's got that, it really does tie in all these, like, I guess maybe, maybe Tommy Lee Wallace has the same feelings as Carpenter. I'm assuming they were kind of friends for getting roped into this, but, um, cause yeah, I mean, it definitely has the whole like system, the system at work that you have no control over.

And then it ties in like every facet of the system. By the time you get to the end, it's like, The companies, you know, the big company that they're working for is evil. So the company is evil. Well, then you get into like advertising is evil because damn, that commercial is on all the time. It's on the radio.

It's on the TV. So then you got advertising is evil. Then you get to like the kids sitting around the TV. Well, it's going to rot your brain out. Literally.

So now TV is evil. So the kids are evil. Well, it even ties into the phone company, which, you know, for years people said the phone company was, you know, evil incarnate. So, I mean, the fact that the phone company is tied in, I mean, every aspect of, you know, their life, especially in that town, but wherever he tries to run in this situation is pretty much run by this, you know, whatever the grand evil is. I thought that was cool.

Here's my problem with the plot of this story. The whole thing? Well, of course. You're trying to take over the world with your three damn shitty masks? Eh, it was the 80s.

What if the girl wants to be a fucking Barbie? What if they want to be a kick-ass gremlin? Exactly. What if they don't want to be a pumpkin, a skeleton, or a witch? Because God knows, what if they want to be a fucking hobo or a clown?

You're fucked. Well, basically, I mean, if we're just going with this is the new cool thing, I mean, once again, it's playing on trendiness. Like, if this was the big thing in the world, if this was like the mid-90s and they were using Pokemon to take over the world, they could have taken over the world because it was the hot thing and every kid would have killed each other for it. That was actually in the early 2000s. Yeah, I guess.

It was the end of the 90s. Yeah, it was the late 90s, early 2000s. But, I mean, think about how huge that was with kids. So it's like if we're looking at it on that level, where whatever the trend of the moment is, if you hype it up, which is what they did with these stupid advertisements. So, again, I think they were on to something.

Like, that could have been a cool story. It is hard to look at and go, why does every kid want these three masks? Yeah. But if they made it a little more broad, like if at one point Ben Cooper decided to put these in there, in every mask they made, then they probably could have, you know, every kid for that span of time, except poor kids that had their grandmothers making their own costumes. Or me.

But yeah, I mean, all those other kids out there wearing that same, I mean, really, Ben Cooper was at least three-fourths of every manufactured costume out there was probably made by them. So are they trying to say that Ben Cooper was evil? Maybe so. One more note about my Ben Cooper costume. When I bought it, Jay had to insist on smelling it to see if it had that original outfit smell.

The new Mylar smell. He's like, does it have the smell? I'm like, I don't know. I never had one of these when they were new. I don't know what the fuck they were supposed to smell like.

So we had to stand there and he had to smell the costume. Yeah, it's got a very specific scent. I'll give him, normally I'll call him creepy. And yeah, he's still creepy. So am I, because I know that smell well, and it was a very specific thing.

It only was on those kind of costumes. The rubber mask had their own weird Halloween smell. It's like the thin plastic ones. But if you go looking for the Bigfoot, it's behind Smurfette. Oh, I'll knock her ass out of the way.

In a case. You have to get somebody to unlock it. Should we talk about the thing that pissed me off the most about this? Well, one of the many things that pissed me off. If I had to make a list, it'd probably be like number two or three on my list.

All right. Season of the Witch. Season of the Witch. Where's the witch? Other than being one of the designs of the three masks being a witch, there was no fucking witches in there.

It should have been like Season of the Robot Research or some shit like that. Well, I think they were tying that in with the sewing thing. It was stupid. There was no witches. If people are stupid, go for the most obvious connection.

If you're going to call it Season of the Witch, it best be witches in there. Fucking hell. We'll get to the part that I hated the most when we get to the part where the major spoiler. I guess. Yeah, we'll get to the very...

Because that's where most of my what-the-fucks come into play. Should we go ahead and jump into the major spoilers? I don't even know what the major spoilers are. Just the wrap-up there. I'm trying to think what else we had with the beforehand, but I don't know.

Maybe. Most of it all ties to that, really. I do like Watch the Magic Pumpkin. That sounds like some sort of drug thing to me. Uh-huh.

Are we going to talk about how old do you think I am? Or I'm older than. You think I am? That sort of ties in. So we can go ahead and jump into the ending of everything.

Super spoiler alert. That's my siren. That's it. Alrighty then. We don't need a siren.

We've got Misty. Now we're in England? Are you British listeners? Whenever a siren goes by, Jay always goes, wiener, wiener. Wow.

Yeah. The end of this movie. What the fuck was that about? After that, I fell asleep during the movie. Then I stopped because I had to go to my parents' house to get a family photo done, which we were not wearing matching outfits.

There was no theme whatsoever. No arm-in-arm. No conga line. No awkward family photo. It was just all of us.

Me and Jay were the most dressed up, which is just disturbing. Is there going to be, like, an estranged uncle, like, scratching himself inappropriately in the background? No, we're going to have people photoshopped into it, though, because they weren't actually there. But anyways, I didn't have time to finish watching. So I had to watch the last, like, ten minutes of it when I got home.

And I was just like. Am I on a different movie? And I'm back, and it's like... I think the final chapter title was like the big giveaway or some shit like that. And I'm like, okay, I'll go for that.

And I put that on my... Well, that's just fucking disappointing. What the fuck is this? This is how you're going to end this fucking movie. This.

It is the end of the movie. Really? Are you shitting me? I don't even remember. Are we talking about the phone call TV end of the movie?

Yeah. Well, I was going to before that. I was going to the... Once we get into the villain's lair, if you will. I slept during the villain's lair.

Okay? I'm sorry. I didn't. I was fucking knocked out. Let's talk about that and you can pretend.

Let's talk about the reason. As if it's not ridiculous enough that this movie about trick-or-treaters involves robots... The way that they tie this crazy story together is Stonehenge. What? Stonehenge.

What? They. I. Can say what again if you would like. Not only....

Nice. Not only do they tie it to Stonehenge, they have a Stonehenge. What? I'm so glad I slept during that hour. Well, if you were paying attention at the beginning, and I only noticed this the second time.

I wasn't paying attention at the beginning. At the beginning, the guy in the little... Or the. Middle, or the end. I don't remember bits and pieces of it, just not that part.

The guy in the gas station at the beginning is watching the news, and in the news, they're talking about Stonehenge. Oh. Which again this. Token black guy is that who we're talking about yeah. But he was in it several times so it makes it like there's more than he didn't die and he didn't die so there you go but um they.

He had the what you talking about master he's got that kind of voice where it was just like stereotypical like a southern black guy voice it was just like it threw me off. Which where were they and it doesn't aren't they like up north somewhere And they were Hattenfield. Or is that Ohio? I'm not trying to be racist. I'm just saying I got the whole fucking gone with the wind.

Vibe from him. He just didn't want to be involved. He's like, there ain't no trouble here, is there? I don't want to have to fill out forms. I just drove the dude over here.

I'm trying to be nice. So, but yeah. And again, this throws off the whole time frame too. So we'll get back to that in a minute. But number one, they stole a Stonehenge.

At the beginning, he's watching the news and there's like the stone off the top of one of these little trios there is missing. It's gone. They're like, where the fuck did it go? That's crazy. How the fuck do you steal a Stonehenge?

You wouldn't believe how they did it. And that's his answer. They used the Force. That's his answer. He didn't bother to tell you.

You just wouldn't believe how they did it. That's their cop-out on how they have to not account for the fact that they have a five-ton block of stone that they moved from across the ocean. So, yeah. You know what my consensus on that is? All right.

Fucking retarded. Well, my thing is, number one, if you were going to do that, they would have had to have done that months ago. So was this like them re-showing a news report? Because they would have had to do that months ago, not only to get it across the ocean, but for them to start doing their magical little process there and start making all these masks that they had to then process, paint. get boxed up, and ship out to all these stores around the country. This couldn't have happened, like, this weekend, like he's watching it at the beginning, and five days later, all this happens.

I think you're putting more thought into it than anybody who actually made. The movie did. Yeah, I'm putting more thought into it than Tommy Lee Wallace, who wrote this. So, yeah, I just, this time through, I noticed that and went, well, that didn't make any sense. It couldn't be on the news at the beginning of the week and have all this shit go down by the end of the week.

You've got to. Have some way to tie it together for them. I guess. But, yeah, Stonehenge. What?

They take a Stonehenge block and they've got it sitting in their little magical lair there. And he explains to him that it has magical powers. And they use it, and he just sort of rubs it on the little tag. Does it rub its lotion on the skin? Yes.

And then it magically makes kids have bugs spring out of their face. I don't know. How can I get me one of them? They're rocks. I go to Stonehenge.

Yeah, you've got to go steal a Stonehenge. All right. Let's plan for next weekend. Let's go. Okay.

I'm up for it. But it does this weird tying things together that it doesn't really even tie. There's no knot at all. It just throws things together. Let's put it that way.

Because it takes the most ancient... I do like he uses the term advanced ancient technology. And that's like, well, yeah, that's exactly what you've done. You've taken the most old thing in the world, Stonehenge, and you've crammed in microchips. It's got a microchip at the back of every mask, so they're using, again, this is the paranoia thing, that we're right here at the beginning of the 80s, computers are just sort of crossing over into everyone's mind.

Like, it's just hitting, like, the average Joe, like, oh, I can buy this Commodore VIC-20 and have a computer in my home! So it's crossing over into that. So it's starting to play on the paranoia of computers are evil. Ooh, everything computerized is evil. But that's not going to do it.

That's not going to cut it. So how can we also tie in some sort of ancient power? Fuck it, Stonehenge. So now we've got, like, microchips and rock dust, and somehow that will make your kid's face turn into bugs. And snakes.

I mean, seriously, that's how they threw all this together into one big thing. Microchips and rock dust. So, yeah, there's... Well, hell, if I. Knew that's all it was going to take to disintegrate kids' faces, I would have done this a long time ago.

Yeah, you better go strap a stone hinge on your back and start hauling. Telling a group effort. Road trip. Let's go. Enjoy the horror fun, Doctor.

And don't forget to watch the big giveaway afterwards. Why, Cochran? Why? Do I need a reason? Mr.

Cochran was right, dear Cochran. I do love a good joke, and this is the best ever. A joke on the children. So, yeah, you get to the Stonehenge. He ties him up.

He's going to make him watch the show and turn into a bug-faced snake face as well. But he escapes, and he breaks his way out, and he sneaks down. So then he gets to... And this is the pre-reveal. So then he...

This is the end before we get to the end. This is the big finale, and then it goes on for another 15 minutes for some reason. So he... Gets a whole box full of little tags with the magical computer chip in it. Oh yeah, I saw that part.

And drops them on the heads of the robot guys and our evil bad guy. And we get a circle of blue light. Why is there a big flashing circle of blue light? Can anybody... No fucking clue.

I don't get it. And then a blue laser shoots out from the circle after it takes out all the robot guys and hits our villain in the head and turns him into... I don't know... paper mache a butter sculpture i don't know his head's just sort of this weird version of him that doesn't look real at all and then it then it disappears explain any of that to me because there's nothing that ever plays into that so then we get into did you notice when they were running around trying to escape if you're awake at this part after he breaks the girl out did you see that. I remember them being in the car and her attacking him, but I don't remember what the hell happened with that. Because I noticed as she breaks the girl out, she says nothing the entire time.

She doesn't speak the entire time. She's been converted to the robot race. There you go so midway into again after the big finale more or less then they're driving away well then we get into this fake out false ending because then the girl which we thought he'd saved attacks him for one and then he as he rips her arm off realizes she's a robot girl has. She always she's been a robot girl the whole. Time that's the question now see that's the part that i was like okay because i heard somebody else go well she was a robot girl what was she doing helping him and that's the part that makes no sense Because, and all the way through, I kept watching it the second time through watching it, and I'm going, okay, let me see if that makes sense, if maybe she was actually a robot the whole time.

And with the exception of that one line, nothing else speaks to that. Like, it makes no sense that she would not be human. Like, she drew him into it. He wouldn't have even gotten involved in it. It's not like they put her out there to send him down the wrong way or to mess up his plan to find out what was going on.

Like, he would have sat in the bar and been drunk the whole rest of the movie. had she not come along and drug him into the plot. So it makes no sense. Like every step along the way, she really is like... doing nothing that benefits the company. All she's trying to do is find her father, and, you know, she's not doing a very good job of it because she's busy screwing this guy most of the time, but. Do you think.

She drew him into it because he was asking too many questions to begin with? But was he? He was rather curious in that, don't we? Kind of, but again, I think if you just sent him over like a fifth of scotch, he probably would have shut up and sat there and drunk himself to death. I mean, I don't know that it would have been...

It didn't seem like he was pushing his way in enough for them to worry about... sending a robot assassin slash sex girl i i don't know and again wouldn't she have misled him more like she never really takes him the wrong way and then she just gets kidnapped halfway through the. Thing i don't fucking understand i don't. Know so that to me the only with with the exception the only thing that sort of would almost support that is i'm older than i look because these like they as he gets in there he references that that one robot is from 1785 Like, they work in this weird, crazy... The knitting. The knitting, yeah.

The crocheting lady is, like, an ancient robot. That made me think of Essing the Body Electric. Yeah, kind of. Oh, I love that. But it works...

Again, it's this ancient, newfangled technology aspect that, like, they're working in robots from 1785, so. It's, I don't know, it's the weirdest mixture. But other than that older than I look line, which then took on, I thought it was just creepy the first time through because it kind of is. But then like the second time I was like, okay, is that like a reference that she is a robot and she's one of these robots that have been around for 200 years or something and they sent her in there. But then as I watched the rest of it, I was like, no, because everything else she does doesn't make any sense along that plot line.

So if anybody else has any insight on that, let me know because I, nothing else she does Seems like it follows that. She's always just kind of an airhead and she's busy trying to get screwed. Nothing else really is even clever enough to think that she's leading him anywhere along the way. She's just kind of there. It was plain why she was too stupid to dry herself properly.

I guess. She's a robot. Robots aren't supposed to get wet anyway. What the hell's wrong with her? Stay out of the shower, dumbass.

She short-circuited something in there. But yeah, if that is the case, that is impressive that they are fully functional. Sex box. Fully functional. I don't know.

I thought that was kind of interesting. So then we get into him fighting with her, which... Then becomes like she's got more resurrections than fucking Terminator. Like she comes back, like every time they're like, whew, killed her. And then the music blares.

They're making up for Mark Myers. Well, it is. I mean, but it's funny that it's a robot that won't die because this is two years before the original Terminator. And we go through that finale on Terminator 2. So it is one of those that this kind of predates that.

I mean, I guess if anything, it's probably ripping off Westworld because... truthfully you'll bring her i'll kick all these robots asses so he sort of did the same thing damn straight so i don't know i just thought that that part is ridiculously weird and yeah i mean you enter all this weird stuff where it's just robots and microchips and fucking stonehenge and oh it makes no sense so okay then i guess we can skip to the very very end of the movie that i already talked about yeah what the dandy I looked at. Jay and I'm like, really? Did that just fucking happen? That's how they're going to fucking end this. I know I give them credit for at least not being what I expected.

I'm not saying it's a good ending, but here's our happy ending on this movie. Thousands of children die. That's the happy ending we're left with. Do you need more candy, Marlena? You look like you're very fall asleep.

I've been asleep, but no, I'm good. I crashed. I had a bunch of sugar and then I crashed. But yeah, a bunch of fucking kids. Yeah, just...

I'm assuming if their plan originally is like millions of kids, and it really, according to the... He's on the phone with one of the guys from the network, I guess, and they're saying a 43 share, which is a pretty huge amount of TV watching America. So even if you take out, you know, two-thirds of that, you only had three networks. Again, this was a long time ago. It would have totally fucked it up if it was in the cable age or the internet age, so...

Yeah, only three networks. Even if you take two of them out, that's got to be thousands of kids left over watching that third network. That's a pretty horrific event. And that's how we end our movie. Yay, thousands of kids die.

So to me, if this is really part of the mythology, wouldn't somebody in like four and five go, remember that Halloween a couple of years ago when all those fucking kids died? How come this doesn't enter into the consciousness? Like this one exists in the world where Halloween was a movie because they're watching Halloween in this one. So why is it that, you know, just as a nice little callback, somewhere down the line, they look at Daniel Harris and they're like, good thing you didn't watch it that year, you'd be dead now. But no, we never get any other reference to this.

Abomination? I don't know. Massacre? Because basically, it's a huge amount of people getting killed by this one crazy bastard that lives in this little town i don't know i don't know what effects wise what were your thoughts. Um wow that flashing pumpkin graphic.

Not computer effects i'm talking you know special makeups some of the kills were pretty good i i thought the um It's funny that it's all about cheesy rubber masks, because sometimes it very obviously switches to cheesy rubber masks of our actors. But again, I mean, it's 82, for God's sake. So, again, anytime I see practical effects anymore, I'm kind of appreciative. I'm like, wow, at least it's not horrible CG blood and some sort of badly pieced together face. I don't know.

I mean, I still... at this point it's sad that it's nothing but nostalgia for practical effects. Cause yeah, I still was just like, well, yeah, I could tell that was a fake head, but that was still kind of cool when he yanked out that guy's eyeballs. That was pretty awesome. He squinched his face right here. Yeah.

And then we ripped that other guy's head off. He just told the blood spray on that was awesome. You got to give him credit. It was, yeah, just fucking kill bill blood spray on that one. So I don't think I have anything else to say about this movie.

I don't know. I don't think so. Other than I think once again, the real world kicked into my head and I was like, um, how do you call up the head of all three networks? Like number one, who do you call? Who do you have on fucking speed dial before there was speed dial that would put you in contact with not just one.

It would be hard enough for me to get on my phone and call the head of ABC, but let alone whoever it is that runs all three networks. and have them magically within seconds pull off something that's running on there. You could fight with. Them for weeks and not have them pull off something on their lineup, let alone in a second. That's because you're not Tom Atkins. That's true.

Tom Atkins is pretty damn smooth. But he didn't get them to pull it off. No. But even two-thirds of it, though. I mean, two out of three networks he got within seconds to pull their programming for the day.

So I'm just like, that seems far-fetched to me. Granted, I know, it's a movie. But, again, I'm a little too reality-based at some points because I was just like, I don't see that happening. I guess I'm the only one who busted out laughing when he went yelling towards the gas station guy and said, it's life or death. I'm the only one that thought that was just hilarious.

I just like that the guy was like, don't I know you? It's like, didn't I just see you last week? And they didn't even tell us it was one hour later when he went to the gas station later. Marlena seemed confused by that earlier. I was confused because I don't remember it at all.

It was the very beginning. Yeah. Yeah, it's like, was it necessary to have a little thing flash across the screen that says, like, one hour later? We never would have figured out it was further in time. Yeah.

One hour in back time. But they didn't tell us that the next time. I mean, maybe it was only 45 minutes for him. He had a car to start with. Yeah, I mean, like, whenever you're watching a movie and it goes from scene to scene, is it necessary to be like.

Five minutes later. Exactly. Maybe it was at a very important hour later and they wanted to make sure. Not really. They did just like to tell you what day it was most of the time.

I don't know why they picked. And the location when it was like Phoenix, Arizona. If you notice, they were on the same days that we were on. They were on like... October the 24th is on a Sunday, so Halloween's on a Sunday, so it had that thing, the timeline was.

That's because the circle has come back around again, and it's time to kill thousands of children. I'm not saying, people. I never said for you to do that. I always get hate mail. People don't like me.

You're talking about killing children. It's not the first time. It's not the first time today. That's not like I'm actually going. To go do it.

Holy shit. That's a lot of effort. It's not that I would brag about in front of people. Oh well before we're totally done here this to me is a potential entry for uh video boxes that warp my brain because this is another one of those that the one sheet in the video box kind of cooler than the movie it represents the uh the box was the little like the outline of little kids in the trick-or-treat year and it had like a witch face like coming up it like the the poster and the the video box were awesome and like you watch the movie you're like I mean, the trick-or-treating does, but the witch face, you're like, where does this even come from? It has nothing to do with this movie.

Again, it was just someone putting together great artwork for a movie that was kind of in general. It was like, something that has to do with trick-or-treating. Yeah, here you go. But yeah, the original artwork on it was awesome. Doesn't match the movie, really.

Certainly doesn't match the level of coolness of it. oh as far as tommy lee wallace um he is really kind of done on he's a director you want to go to for your bad sequels and stuff for tv he's done a lot of tv episodes over the years he did fright night 2 he did halloween 3 so he's kind of your go-to if you've got some sort of property you want to just sort of pawn off on the best thing on his resume uh he is the director of. It I liked most of it. It is still a pretty good... Especially that first half is really creepy. Everything with the clown before you get to the thing at the end.

Yeah, clowns are fucking creepy. Yeah, but that was creepy in an awesome way. Granted, they're creepy in the real world in sort of a sad way. No, it as a movie was... Especially that first half of the miniseries is really pretty well done.

Especially for TV. When I think of TV as early in time as that was... It's pretty horrific to be showing on regular primetime network television. So I will give him credit for it. But a lot of his other stuff, I didn't see a lot of high points in his career.

All right. So otherwise, anything else to wrap up Halloween 3? Season of the Witch. No fucking witches. There were, in fact, other than Rubber Mask, no real witches.

I could have called it Season of the Pumpkin. Season of the Sawin'.. Season of the robots. Season of the robots. That's probably the way to go.

All right. So we will wrap up the movie here and take a break and be back with the rest of the show. It's time again. At the end, we don't decide these things, you know. The planets do.

They're in alignment. And it's time again. The world's going to change tonight, Doctor. I'm glad you'll be able to watch it. And now, before the next show starts, let's enjoy an intermission.

Fist bump. Here, you can have an elbow. We're not continuing the show until you fist bump. Fist bump. Come on.

Do it. Do it. Do it. Anyway. Of course, fist bump.

No means no, damn it. You just got fist draped. I don't think that means what you think it means. It was still funny. Oh, God.

Why is there Vaseline all over my hand? Anyway. Oh, you better watch it. We're starting to heckle like hyenas. Good.

Fuck them. Fuck them. All right. We are back, and we've got feedback. Well, first I have a few messages to pass along to the gang here, and some of these I...

I know one or two of them you saw, but a few of these... Some of these were from Twitter that I don't think you've come in contact with. I don't got Twitter. I don't know what Twitter is. Oh, Lord.

One of which is from... Actually, it's from Nick at Eskimo to us and Randy. And it says... Squirrel bomb is pretty damn amazing. Oh, and what the fuck, dude?

What? What was pretty amazing? The squirrel bomb. Oh, yeah, the squirrel bomb. His response to the squirrel bomb was, what the fuck, dude?

Brady's my favorite. I like his outrage by the idea, and yet seems kind of taken with it as well. Then there's several for you, Misty. Oh, yay me. Naked Eskimo says, to Misty, high five, gobble gobble, motherfucker.

God, I fucking love that movie. I don't understand. It's a Thanksgiving. Oh, okay. He also says, to Misty and the whole crew, in regards of folks getting pissy, fuck them if they can't take a joke.

I love y'all's humor, damn it. Hells yeah. So, once again, we're good to see Eskimo's got her back. I would give him a fist bump if he were here. I might even lock it, because I learned that one just a few minutes ago.

Or make it explode. Ooh. I lock it and then make it explode. Oh, hell, that's too much. That's a combination I ain't quite mastered.

Yeah, I actually get the lock one. The lock one's pretty difficult to master. I got it wrong earlier, didn't I? I just did a twist the wrong way. It was probably me.

I can't get this hat off my head. Oh, no. What am I going to do? Take it off. It doesn't match with my sweater.

Is that part? Just hold it next to your sweater at all times. All right, so we did have something on. It's like an end of your cleavage. A booby hat.

You're up for. HQ. It's just a shirt, really. Sew them together. See, the snorting is contagious.

I don't believe I've done it at this point. It's contagious like freckles. Did you see that commercial? Where the detail on the camera shows every freckle? And then she takes her freckles and throws them at somebody.

And her freckles go to somebody else. I'm like, no! That's nightmare material right there. What commercial is this for? I don't remember.

That could happen to you. It shows stuff like transferring to other people. Like this guy has a tattoo on his hand and he's dancing with a girl and the tattoo moves to her. It's weird, but the freckle thing was just too far. I don't want anybody flicking their fucking freckles on me.

Oh, Jesus. Alrighty then. Um, there was one on the forum that I thought was funny, and I thought I wanted to, uh, pass along to you guys. Uh, it was, again, Naked Eskimo said, Haven't listened yet, but seeing the title of this thread prompted me to look at Barb and say, What the fuck is wrong with Movie Mountain? that was the uh second blow yeah that was the episode uh second blow is jesus which i've been did you see my response to it because i thought it was funny i was like well like most of our stories at this point they're like the fucking telephone game it's like by the time we've told them and retold them so many times and they're such an in joke that we just reference them here and there that nobody even knows what they actually mean anymore so when you break it down to what it actually means i was like there's nothing perverse or sacrilegious in that original story at all And yet that seems like one of the most horrific statements ever that would offend everyone.

But if you listen to the story, there's nothing offensive at all in there. No, not so much. So there. That's how we like to trick you. We're innocent.

We're a bunch of innocent kids around here. And I did take a picture of me with my black hole pop-up book. It's on Facebook. Misty's black hole. So neener, neener, Randy.

Oh, man. Did you see his about you, though? Which one? About the black hole pop-up book. He says, Esky and I want our photos of the Black Hole pop-up book.

But he says, I wonder if anybody else out there imagined Misty scrawling in crayon at the end of the Choose Your Own Adventure book over her Misty-like ending. When her unicorn gets sent to a rendering plant and the magic girl runs off to grant her self-wishes with her new wish-granting horn. That would totally do that. Yeah, do that. It's not even just choose your own adventure books.

It's any random book. I don't know what the way it ends. I'll fucking change it. Shit. And not in crayon.

Usually I'm like permanent marker. I can see that actually. Cause my word is boss. Oh Lord. So I think you read the other ones.

That was the, the comment on our tone, the last episode, which I, I kind of disagree with. I don't think we were that down. I think we were, we were pretty decent on focusing on the, the movie itself. I thought we had a lot of good stuff on the bad seed, but, As far as the attitude, we are far from defeated. I, for one, will not go down quietly.

I am going to fight tooth and nail to keep the show going. Even at the point, you know, crew doesn't show up, you know, fuck it, we're still here, we're still keeping it going. And it's not even like they keep referring to the new format. I wouldn't even call it a new format. It's just sort of changing the scheduling, really.

Because I don't think I've ever really said it in stone as to it has to be this. We've settled into a lot of the episodes are like this, but from day one, I wanted to do it different where we could have, you know, take an episode on the road and do it in the middle of a hotel room or just do like a separate interview with somebody. And that in itself itself is like its own little episode. So I think along the way, I've tried to mix it up from time to time and every once in a while, just do something really different so that we don't have such a standard format that a, it becomes boring and b it becomes weird if we break out of it it's like i wanted to keep it kind of moving and changing a little bit to the fact that it gives us freedom to do whatever the hell we want which is kind of how we operate anyway so i don't That all having been said, yeah, I think that's more of where we're going, not really a whole new format, just...

Are we going to beta format? Movie Meltdown 2.0. We're testing the new beta. I don't know. We saw some video discs at a flea market the other day and James was like, what is this?

Is this a record? It's a video record, dude. Is it like a laser disc or is it a record? I don't understand. Yes, both.

It was a laser disc on a record. He was confused. It's a confusing format, I have to say. Anybody who actually remembers the video... What are those things called?

Video disc? Yeah. Again, I was fascinated with those as a kid. Once again, showing my geekery. I like the packaging.

Just because that was really the first pre-made... I mean, you didn't have pre-packaged VHS at that point. I think they were getting to the point where they could record on it, but I don't think they were selling. The first one, I remember them selling... A prepackaged movie with the poster slapped on the front of it that you could get was that big piece of plastic that basically had a record inside of it.

And once again, the geek in me went, I can buy the movie? Holy shit. The fact that I could own it and pause it. in inappropriate places, appealed to me even as a small child. What did people do before they could buy a movie and watch it whenever they wanted? Read books.

No, because I remember people talking about this, because I barely even remember the pre-VHS days. So it's like you waited around until they showed, like they used to do, the midnight movie, or they'd do like the this week's Saturday Night Movie, and they would play one on most of the networks, or at least some of the, depending on where you were, would play movies, and you kind of had to wait. And sometimes you would wait nine years between when they showed it last, and you would sit there and look in your paper every week and go... Not this week. I don't got that kind of patience.

Or, I mean, if nothing else, maybe they would do like the big movies, they would do a revival and, you know, bring a copy back. Again, they didn't remaster them then because they didn't know how to do that. But they would dig out an old scratched up copy of Casablanca and every 30 years they'd cycle it around the other theaters again. So. Those were pretty much your only options.

Either eventually they would replay it on TV, or maybe if you were lucky, they would bring a copy back out to a small theater that wasn't affiliated with any chains and could pull off that kind of shit. But yeah, other than that, you were screwed. So it sucked to be a movie geek in the pre-' 80s, basically. Yeah, because that's like 80 years almost of movies that you could only see once, maybe twice. In your life.

That's kind of sick. I mean, to me, that's scary. Like someone who owns shelf fulls of movies that like at any given moment, especially now with the internet, at any given moment, you can kind of go find whatever the hell it is you want in whatever ways you choose to, but you can get a hold of damn near anything that's still in existence. Whereas thinking of. Unless it's Showboat from the 30s, then you're fucked.

If you can find that, guys, hey, hook us up. Because, you know, Misty's got somebody looking for that. We're trying to find a... Not the 20s. I found that one for her.

My grandma wants it, and my grandma's awesome. She is awesome, which is why I found her the early silent one, but... We're still having problems finding the 30s showboat. So with the exception of that, that shows you what it was like for years. You wanted to see that movie, and you just never will.

That's how it worked for years of your life. That's so weird. Yeah, it's a strange turnaround that people who are into movies have such a privilege now that I don't think we can even imagine how it was for people for years and years there. So it's kind of strange. Maybe they just didn't put that much thought, maybe it wasn't just, they didn't think about it because they didn't know that that could be an option, you know?

I don't know. I mean, I remember hearing stories about people that, like, for years would be like, and that really I mean you think about now we do like what's that movie that we just did earlier that he directed and it's like think about if nobody could ever reference there was no IMDb to look shit up there was no way to go find the movie itself you were just like fucked for the rest of your life you're like I swear there was this movie and it had a thing in it and there was a guy and you could describe it to everybody you know and nobody at that point was a movie geek nobody ever would know what you're talking about you would just be one step from insane yeah. Well, I like in the newspaper, there's still that guy who you write in your funny movie questions.

I'm just like, God damn it. There's Google for that. Fire this guy. Get a real column. I remember, yeah, when I was a kid, that made sense.

Because I remember, and people would argue, they would read it and be like, oh, he's wrong. It was funny that he was wrong about half the shit, according to most people I knew. But, yeah, now, once the internet came up online, what is the point of that guy? I'm like, if you want to wait, you know, six weeks for him to get around to printing your answer. Not everybody has the internet.

Maybe it's for old people that don't know any better. Old people don't need to know answers, then. kid to the yeah get your grandkid to come over and like. If it's an old person who has no family geez people be more sensitive. Oh wow that was misty's halloween prank on you guys she was pretending to care. Like some old spinster who has like 48 cats.

Her cats don't know the answers. Their cats don't have thumbs. They can't look shit up. If they're kittens, they probably got like an iPhone. They know the internet at this point.

They don't have thumbs. Yesterday, I made a new friend. Her name was Megan. You would have hated this girl. Number one.

It doesn't take much. No, no, no. She was the sweetest girl I've ever met. What was her last name? I have no idea.

Did she have red hair? Yes. Was she about my age? Probably, no, she was like 23. Oh, then.

Yeah. I don't like her already, so whatever. She was very sweet, but almost too sweet. Like, we were standing in line to get hot dogs at the concession stand, and there was this girl wearing these ridiculous high-water pants. And Tara was like, look at that girl's fucking high-water pants.

What a loser. And that girl was like, maybe she just can't afford to get new pants. Maybe she's really poor. And Tara was like, well, I guess. She goes, you know what?

No. No. Fuck that girl. I don't feel bad. It costs $ 10 to get in here.

You can buy pants at Goodwill for $ 2 that fit your fucking ass. See, I'm not sure if I like her because she's nice or because she kind of like trying to make that other girl feel bad about being mean to the other girl. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She was too nice. She was just like.

Kind of like snobby nice? No, not really. She was like... Genuine nice, which seems weird to us. Yeah, it was very weird.

You know, like. No, but it's like... She still can't... To me, it's like... I'm going to be nice to her, but because you made that comment, I want to say something that makes you feel bad about what you said about her.

She was just trying to like. She was trying to defend her. I see this. I don't understand it mostly, but I get where. And then, you know, when we were watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre, we were terrible people.

I realize this. All of my friends are. We all are. It's okay. But Franklin...

The invalid? We're like, ha ha, invalid. We're going to start calling people invalid instead of retard. We're going to start saying that's so invalid instead of that's so retarded. Which I realize is like, yeah, we operate on like an eighth grade level max.

And you still already passed me out. But that girl i don't know she didn't say anything snarky or snark towards us but again kind of like defended it a little bit you know we because we all like laughed and clapped when franklin got chainsawed to death we're like yeah yeah fuck that guy he was annoying she was just he was annoying oh that's so sad. She had to watch her little brother get murdered with the chainsaw and we're like. Yeah at least now she ain't gotta take care of his ass. Anymore i know Yeah.

She was, like, too nice. And she had the brightest, reddest hair I've ever seen in my life. And the most freckles on one person ever. She had more freckles than Laura Flynn Boyle? Yeah.

She was very pretty, but, yeah, you would have hated her guts. I do already. Interesting. Hated her. I went to school with a girl named Megan.

She had red hair and freckles. I called her a bitch all the time. I can't imagine. I don't remember. I just don't call her a bitch.

Ouch. I'm assuming in your mind, yes, she was. She was really nice, too. That's never stopped me. You're so nice, you fucking bitch.

Yeah. Love this story. Yeah. I was just like, oh, I know someone who will hate your guts. Which is funny, because imagine her being the type of person who no one really hates.

She hasn't met me yet. I know. I got the ability to hate anybody, anytime, for any given reason. It's a gift. Oh, man.

I still hate a guy who sang the entire 100 bottles of beer on the wall within a five-foot radius of me. If I ever see him, I. Will punch him. You hate that guy that made you watch, like, Mr. Show.

Oh, I fucking hate him. Don, if you're out there, you're a bastard, and I hope you fucking die a horrible, painful fucking death. I think he's one of our friends, though. Is he? Well, I don't care.

I don't care if he knows I hate him. I mean, fuck. He made me watch Mr. Show. I fucking hated that show.

I wanted to go sit outside. But. Ugh. Still mad about that. That's considered genius in comedy circles, by the way.

Ugh, I fucking hated that show. I do love. Isn't David Cross in it? I do like David Cross. It's weird because he...

I don't know. He seems slightly different than I remember that show being. That show made me even more violent feeling than normal. That's bad. And it's probably not good for anybody in the surrounding area.

So. Oh, man. Did you see the G-Glen comment? About how awesome I am? He again comments on the new format, which, again, I don't care. think it's a new format but.

Everybody's gonna be disappointed. I'm glad i'm glad that he is looking forward to it because that means he's looking forward to the new episodes which are going to be awesome but he ends it with oh yes more misty in all caps and bold I. Think you're paying people to say this. That's why I keep showing up. Brian can barely pay to keep the lights on.

Yeah. He's bribing them with dollar tacos from Taco Bell. That's all I can afford. He paid for his dollar tacos with quarters. It's really sad.

I'm not kidding. It's sad. Oh, so yeah, it says more Misty. She cracked me up. So once again.

I crack myself up. Yes, you do. I do. I'm retarded because I know Marlena's way funnier than me, and Joni, when she's actually here, is somewhat funnier than me. Oh, well.

I'm not funnier, I'm just, like, dumber. I know somebody that. I don't know, I'm pretty damn dumb. I know somebody that likes both of you, and let's hear from them. Because this week we heard from Randy.

Yay, Randy! Randy! I told Randy he's my favorite. He's my favorite listener. And I told him that it wasn't even just because he's the only one who calls in, either.

You can't see it, Randy, but every time we say Randy, I say, yay, Randy. And I do this little hand motion. And in my mind, there's a rainbow that comes from my hands. I'm sure he actually is kind of excited by that. I was like seeing his name.

Randy. We're going to find out where he lives and just stand over his bed. I think Jay has. His phone number because apparently when it updated to his Facebook, it put Randy's phone number in Jay's phone. He's like... dude, we should call Randy.

I have it if you want to call him. I don't think he cares, really. We should find out where he lives, get over his. Bed, and be like, Randy. I'm coming to get you, Randy.

I'm not sure how his wife would feel about that, but all right. And then Lisa would wake up and be like, what the fuck are you guys doing in my house? Get out. Aren't you that weirdo I lent my phone charger? Get out of my bedroom.

Thanks for that, by the way. I just came to use your phone charger again. Sorry. I know it was a really long drive, but I wanted to charge my phone a lot. That was a cackle.

Well, it's the Halloween episode. You can do that. My legs are so freakishly muscular. Okay, back to Randy's message. Randy!

That rhymes with candy. Hey guys, it's Randy. I have no song or dance this time. I just figured I'd check in because I'm sitting in traffic and you're making my shitty, rainy, miserable commute wonderful. I just wanted to point out, am I the only one who thinks it's odd that Marlene is like, nothing happened to me, but...

There's a pause in conversation and she's talking to the captain, the 88-year-old, shotgun swinging, like recreating World War II in his backyard against rodents and birds with a mental patient wife teetering around him. Background. Am I the only one that's like, it's. Going on right now! Don't you hear it?

Don't you hear it? I'm glad, Roger, that you didn't take my advice. I'm even more glad that I didn't try to put together a small outfit because if you were going to do that, my second thought was that if you could have dressed the squirrel in the same sort of clothes that your target would wear, that would send more of a direct message, you know. And It takes a little bit more time. And obviously you're not an artist and crafty or a deviant son of a bitch, and I think that's a wonderful thing.

Keep watching movies. Keep talking about them. We'll keep listening. Take care, guys. My boob was falling out of my bra.

That's what I was doing. Isn't that always the case? No. Well, like, sometimes it comes out of the top, but this bra, they come out of the bottom. Randy, she heard your voice, and it just jumped out at you.

So she's that excited by hearing your voice. Yes. Once again, I don't know how Lisa's going to take to that. That's all you say in that, Brian. Hey, we visually saw it going on.

I didn't want to dig it around in your brassiere area. As soon as you heard Randy's voice. It's uncomfortable when that happens. When you hear Randy's voice. No.

When you hear Randy's voice. Oh, Randy. I never said that the two things were connected. Just seemed kind of odd. Pretty likely coincidence.

Oh, and yes, we all kind of realize that she sometimes loses perspective on these stories as nothing happened. Equals crazy shotgun wielding neighbor. Well, yeah. I don't know. I just have a very strange...

Strange. People come up to me and strange things happen. I'm like a magnet for it. I don't do anything. It just happens.

Oh, and I guess we can try to pass on that message to Roger, but he didn't show, and truthfully, we haven't heard from him in about two weeks, so I'm beginning to think... In a ditch. I'm beginning to think maybe he tried the squirrel thing and blew himself up. Yeah. That may be what's become of him, so I don't know.

He's MIA. He was kidnapped by gorillas. Like. War gorilla. It's not like animal gorilla.

No, it's better when big monkeys let go. It was the Jeffersonville monster. You said gorilla, not gorilla. Gorilla. Okay, yeah.

I forget that there's a difference in pronunciation. Sadly, I'm doing Martin short. All right, moving on. We have more from Randy because... You know, that was mostly about Marlena and Roger, so we couldn't have that.

You know, I get jealous. Hey, it's Randy, and I almost forgot to say, has anybody mentioned just how awesome Misty is? I mean, it was just going through my mind, like, oh, my God, she's so awesome. And I just love Misty. Rusty is pretty cool, too, but Misty, wow!

So at that point, I think he just, like, ran off the road. He was, like, so excited with Misty-ness that he just, like, wow! So, yeah, I'm going to have to. Let us know if you're okay, Randy. Yeah.

Because we're concerned about your well-being, considering you're the one who ever calls in and you're our favorite. I think he was so excited he swerved into a tree or something. I don't say that. I don't worry about Randy. Maybe he ended up in the same ditch as Roger.

But we like Randy. Nice. It would not make sense for them to be in the same ditch. Randy lives far, far away. He flew really far out of the vehicle.

All right, do we want. Randy, you're my favorite. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Thank you, Randy, for calling in. Do we want Jay's response at this point?

I don't care. Sure. Okay. Actually, it's mostly about... Once again, it's mostly about Misty, so she should be excited, except...

I hear. It all the time. And it's about you being angry. I am pretty angry. Which you are angry all the time.

All right, here we go. Usually if it's him, it's usually about how angry I am or how cute my toes are. And he likes to tell you about how cute you're just. I make him tell me. I can see that, actually.

Hey, Movie Meltdown and Movie Meltdown listeners. This is Jay. I am stuck in the far reaches of the babysitting dimension, stuck here at home, as Misty is on her way and sweating her butt off in traffic because of a huge wreck. So she's not going to probably be too happy. When So you guys better.

Stay away from her and be nice to her. And if there's any redheads in the area, you better duck. Hey, congratulations on your 100th show. Really wanted to be there, but I guess I can't because I'm over here. So that pretty much makes me not over there.

Okay, so hey, whatever. Wow, 100 shows. That's pretty cool. That's awesome. At least you guys have 100 shows and you didn't just have one show and then everybody told you they'd get lost.

So that's cool. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to a couple more shows. Hope you guys enjoyed the Halloween 3 movie. I know I didn't. Thought it was one of the worst Halloween movies that was ever made.

Made absolutely no sense. Not even sure why they even made that movie, if they were gonna switch stuff up or what. But probably one of my least favorite Halloween movies. But aside from the first one, it sticks out in my mind the most. Anyways, we've been Meltdown.

You guys have a great 100th episode, and hopefully I will see you soon. All right? Bye. Yeah, I was fucking pissed. I was so fucking mad.

I was on the phone, and I was yelling. I was so pissed because before I left the house, I was like, why don't you go check the traffic cam? I want to know how traffic looks. Traffic looked fine. I get off 65 and it's fucking stopped at a complete fucking standstill.

I'm like, are you fucking serious? It was bad. It was bad when I got there, but I don't even think there was a wreck yet. There were like two cops. There were two cops blocking the exit to get to second street bridge.

So I don't know why it was so busy. Just to mess with you guys. Yeah, because apparently it was busy when he went. He was coming back across from going doing some man thing this morning, and then he came back. And apparently in between the time that he got back and when I got there, there was a big fucking five-car wreck.

And it was just fucking ridiculous and goddamn Conway. I love my car. I do. Except for when he decides that I don't need to have air conditioning, which seems to be a quite a bit this lately and i like it when it's hot and i'm sitting in traffic for almost an hour and a half with no air conditioning just sitting there being miserable i was throwing profanities i was yelling at people people in cars i don't know who they were that doesn't matter i probably shouldn't yell at people in cars when we're in the lounge you're stopped yeah it's not a good idea But yeah, I was not at all fucking pleased. I almost turned around and went home, but then I couldn't get over to the exit.

And you would have missed the fantabulous I Gotta Rock Halloween special. And I figured it was just the two of you, and I'd feel bad for leaving just the two of y'all. That would kind of suck, because we can do the movie discussions with two, but the actual entire show becomes pretty difficult with two people. So we're trying to keep it up to date. But yeah, next time if there's traffic, I'm going home and y'all are fucked.

I'm sorry. Nice. Well, at least it's getting cooler, so maybe it won't be as hot next time. Fucking traffic. And I like that Jade detaches himself.

I'm like, well, you've been there for almost all of those shows. I mean, he's missed quite a few along the way, but he's been here since episode five. Yeah. He came in on episode five. Who did you all start off with?

I mean, the only three that are still around are me, her, and I guess Roger if he's not in a ditch. Is it Deanna? Deanna was there for the first three episodes. Did she work at Suncoast with you? She was nice.

She didn't last long. She just didn't have much to say, which it seemed pointless for her to sit there every week. I was like, you can not sit here if you don't want to. You don't have to. I'm going to.

Sucker Jay in. Yeah. So by episode five, Jay was on board. So it's not so much. If Roger is in a ditch, we're going to have to sucker someone else in.

Well, you know, I'm always trying to sucker people in. It's just, you know, with the exception of Greg, I haven't found any victims lately. So we'll try to work him more and see what we can do there. But other than that, we're still trying to rope some new people in. We can change in the attic and then bring him down for special occasions.

See, I invited Eddie last time he was in town, but he was going to be gone in a matter of hours like he does. We can loan him out to Marlena. And he's a wild stallion. I don't think he can be. He can't be broken.

I don't think he can be. Not even by Gabrielle Lanois. Wild stallions. By who? Gabrielle Lanois.

Who? Never mind. So... Oh, but yeah. So, once again, that does include you, Jay.

I don't know why exactly that became us. But it is nice that the only one who specifically called in for episode 100 was Jay. Never mind him. That's funny. I thought that was kind of funny, actually.

So. Happy 100 to us. Woo-hoo. We rock. Yeah.

And I got to rock. So. Oh, sons of bitches. I dropped my candy corn. But it's just on the table.

It's so good. Five-second rule. Five-second rule. I got it. It's good.

It works on the table. I wouldn't apply that to the floor. So once again, thank you to everybody who has contacted us in the many, many avenues. Thanks the most to Randy, though. Of which I'm trying to keep up with.

But you got nice comments from all of them. Eskimo said many nice things about you. Thank you. And he virtual high-fived you. Virtual luck-o-bump.

And jiggling, which I don't know if I'm even saying that right. So let us know if I'm mispronouncing that. I am awesome. Thank you for saying so. Oh, Lord.

So, yep, we got many nice comments. So thank you to everyone who has sent them our way. I do appreciate all the comments. I don't want anybody to think that I don't appreciate them. I appreciate for everybody to tell me how awesome I am.

It's okay. I'm just Randy. Keep all the wonderful, misty comments coming. And I guess the rest of us like to hear from you, too. Because usually my comments, they aren't so awesome.

Not usual. Just lately. But I've always said the same shit, so I don't know the difference. That's true. Don't be shy.

Just let your. Feelings roll on by. Don't be shy. We'd like to hear from you. So give us a call at 502-365-5565.

Or you can email us at geeksatmoviemeltdown.com. And just stop by the website for our frequent updates. That's moviemeltdown.com. On by, on by. On by, on by.

Now give us your salute to Candy Corn. Oh, my God. I don't think those were words. I'm going to throw up later. That's awesome.

Oh, I got a deformed candy. That seems fitting, actually. I'm going to eat it anyway. I'm going to eat my little. I have to eat candy corns according to the colors.

I bite off the white piece and then eat the orange piece. I'll do it the opposite way. I eat the yellow part first. You're both weirdo. I throw like six of them.

In my mouth. I don't care. It's deformed too. It's got no orange in the middle. It's just got top and bottom.

It looks just like a bullet. I had one of those earlier. How would you eat it if there's no orange? How would you know? Oh my God.

You'll lose your mind. And this is off subject, but I was walking through the hallway at school the other day. And someone had done a fake poster for Strangers with Candy. I was like, who is this? I need to marry this person right now.

I got really excited. And I was with friends who have no idea what Strangers with Candy is. And they didn't understand why I was jumping up in the hallway. They should just know you and know that's kind of to be expected. And be like, oh, it's one of your weird things.

Never mind. I was like some Marlena thing. Were you hyperventilating? Strangers with Candy. Strangers with Candy.

I really did that. I really did that. And this has been another Marlena. Actually, one of the girls I was with is weirder than I am. Is that even possible?

I don't think that's possible. Yeah, no, it totally is. Totally is. She's way weirder than me. Wow, that's saying something.

All right. Okay, kids, get out your decoder pens. Don't you want to do any Halloween-themed versions of cackling? That's all I know. Sorry.

You can tell that tonight's message was really important. It is time for the Movie Meltdown Secret Circle reel of the next whatever the time that we want to watch a movie feature. We've decided, yeah, as mentioned last time out, we're not really picking two. In fact, we may not even give you an exact one. We're just going to give you a what's on the horizon, basically.

Because I know it's not going to be next week. Because next week, and probably several weeks now, Misty and Jay will be off doing things. Next week's my birthday. She's too cool to show up on her birthday. Did i show up on my birthday i didn't i didn't it wasn't part of this on my birthday i don't think.

So anyway we we i'm attempting to throw something together in between now and the next official full-out movie party but um for the probably similar to last week's but Aside from that, we were going to give you an idea of what we're thinking for the next time we all get together and do the full-fledged, you know, Buzz Geek Week full-on show. So for that one, we're thinking we're going to watch Survive Style 5, which has been Marlena's pick for a while now. Yeah, I love that movie. All right, so that is the next Horizon movie. This peanut butter eyeball, it's folded so that you can't see the R, so it just says peanut butt.

You're welcome. Continue. Again, we're working on another self-contained sofa theater feature between now and then, so we're still throwing some ideas around. Are you still doing the Bigfoot movies? You should go get the Bigfoot costume and wear it while you watch.

I was thinking that. I was thinking I need to go get it, and then I can call up Rick and be like, dude, guess what I'm wearing? I do that about once a week with them. I just call them up and go, guess what I'm wearing? And he's like, hey, Brian, how's it going?

Who's Rick? Samurai. He's from the Gentleman's Guide to Midnight Cinema. And we've done the cryptids crossover episodes. Actually, he's just been doing Bigfoots.

Make him come down. And investigate this monster in my woods. He's like 20 minutes away. Okay. Come investigate the monster in my woods.

For real, I'm serious. Like, I'm serious. I'm not sure he's qualified because I'm the one that came up with this ridiculous idea. So I don't think he's any more qualified than I am. But I'm sure we've both considered that we need to go out and like take pictures in some sort of. bigfoot catching gear so we need to get dressed in like safari gear and.

Trust as bigfoot that we can lure them out. Well we can do one of each one of us can wear like safari gear and have a rifle and the other can be in the bigfoot costume and we can go lurk around your neighborhood and then see if we bring out this other creature it was. Little though it could have been a little foot but not a bigfoot could have been a bigfoot baby. Actually you ate the lunch with rick when we were in tour around He was sitting next to us. He took video of you.

I sat next to Randy. Is he the one with the glasses? I sat next to Randy when Randy brought me cake. That's another reason Randy's my favorite. He brought me cake.

Anybody who brings me chocolatey goods, I'm a good list. We also brought him treats. And his wife told me that he did not lick the cake, so I was okay with it. That was just the piece he was going to give to Marlene. That just means he likes you special.

That means he really likes you. Yeah. All right, any other horrors you want to pass along for this horrific I Gotta Rock special episode? I feel like we should have done more for Halloween. We should have talked about Halloween movies that are our favorite or any kind of thing like that.

Or our favorite costume ever that we dressed up as. Any favorite Halloween moments or anything? Favorite Halloween moments real fast. Okay, go for it. Oh, my God, I don't know.

I can give you mine because it took place last night. Actually, I don't know if it's favorite. It's just most recent, and I was thinking it's very geeky-oriented. So this is me passing on my geekery to the next generation. I was around my family yesterday, so I got to be around my niece and nephew, and I was chasing my niece around because she's awesome, and that was just funny.

She would run in circles, and I would attack her from the other side, being the creepy uncle that I am. And then... Creepy Uncle Brian. Not in the way that everyone else is probably thinking, though. No.

No. But I am reminded by her father that I'm the creepy uncle on a regular occasion, almost every time I see him. Yeah, but he's a redhead. Yeah, he is. We don't trust that guy.

So, the... But the super geeky thing was then... My nephew had a, they were given out, or actually on some cake they had, they had all these little monster rings. And so they were all playing around with them. And then, well, first of all, it was funny that he found a way to scam his sister out of the one that glows in the dark.

He's like, hey, I'll give you this one. You give me that one. Because hers didn't glow in the dark. But then he had one that had the green monster character on it. And he referred to it as Frankenstein.

And I corrected him. Now, in the real world, I don't do that because I think that's kind of a douchey, super uber geek thing to do to be like, well, technically, that's actually Frankenstein's monster. The doctor was Frankenstein. But you've got to geekify him, right? You don't want him growing up and getting his shit wrong.

That's what I'm saying. This was, he was a little kid and he had no idea of that knowledge. So I was like, you know what? I'm going to at least open his mind to the fact that, you know, somewhere down the line when he has to read that book for school or he watches that movie, which I already told him I have it and he needs to watch it. that he's going to realize, oh, I'm saying it wrong. You know, this big green monster with bolts in his neck isn't Frankenstein, according to the, you know, book, the movie, pretty much anything.

I still call him Frankenstein. And that's the thing. In the real world, I don't ever do that. In fact, I'll probably call him Frankenstein because I know that's just the community itself. Geeks and people around the world have just decided.

I mean, it's just become the standard now. That guy's Frankenstein. If he's green... And he's got bolts in his neck, and that's Frankenstein, and that's what people call him. So I don't correct people in the real world, but I wanted to pass along to this little kid who had no idea the fact that there's a Dr.

Frankenstein. And then I told him about Igor. He kind of likes Igor, too. So then he decided, it's funny that then afterwards he decided not that he wanted to be Frankenstein the monster for next year. He wanted to be Dr.

Frankenstein. He wanted a lab coat. He wants to be the mad scientist. And then I think we convinced him that his little sister needs to be Igor. Right?

That is awesome. Which I thought was funny, and we decided that by next year, she'll be able to pick her own costumes, and she's going to tell them to get lost, because she ain't going to want to do that. Because she's already pretty taken with her princess outfit for this year. Which is funny, because she likes to play in the dirt the whole rest of her life. She's such a tomboy, but she got a princess dress.

Is she going to be Princess Igor? Sadly, I suggested Princess Igor, I believe. Princess of the Hump, or something. I think I suggested the hump. Her mom was not so big on that.

So that's been my most recent super geeky passing it on to the next generation activity for Halloween. I mean, I think as far as recent, I usually love going to the Halloween street where all the Halloween lights are. I mean, it's my favorite. It's just for me and a kid. See, I never went trick-or-treating as a kid.

We just had Halloween parties at my grandma's house. It was like me and my cousin Stevie and Erin. You never went trick-or-treating? I never went trick-or-treating. I was too afraid to go knock on doors.

I've always had social anxiety, even as a small child. Even if I knew the person my entire life, I could not go knock on their door and ask for candy. Because, I mean, that goes against everything you're fucking taught as a kid. You do not go up and ask people for, you know, you don't go, it's just to go to strangers. You don't go to a stranger's fucking house and get me candy.

I mean, how is it okay that one night out of the year, I mean, every other day, no fucking candy from strangers. What makes it okay on that night? Is it a special night? I blame Sally. Is it like a pact that all the strangers have gotten together?

Like, all right, on this one night, we're not going to poison the kids. So that makes it okay. Only razor blades. Strictly razor blades. And it's just, it's never seemed like a good idea.

Like I said, I've gone to one door and I couldn't even go knock on the door. And it's the first time I had known my entire life. So I said, I never went trick-or-treating. So the great pumpkin came to see me every year. My mom would hide toys in our house.

My mom did that for Easter. I love Easter. My mom did it for Halloween. I remember one year I was so excited because I got my pink Barbie Corvette, which was a knockoff. It wasn't actually Barbie, which I still have it.

It's awesome. But yeah. I guess that's one of my favorite parts about Halloween is having toys hiding from me when I got up. Yeah. The Halloween party we had at my grandma's house with the big bucket of ice cold fucking water that you had to shove your head in trying to get an apple.

I remember that. And somebody else probably already put their teeth into it. God damn it. I don't even. Like apples i went to that what like one year and saw it yeah that was quite a ridiculous ordeal going.

On put a stickers bar it was like the apples it evolved from the bucket of apples to the apple on a. String which is equally as sadistic these these halloween games are just me. Yeah, because in the end all you get is a fucking apple. I love apples. I do too.

They have caramel apple shakes that are so fucking delicious. It's like crack. I want to put it in an IV and just have it all the time. But yeah, I love Halloween parties at my grandma's house. I love the bonfires with the s'mores and the marshmallows and all that shit.

That sounds fun. I want to go. Yeah, I shouldn't live out there anymore. We should find somebody who does have a bonfire and let's go. And mix more.

I hope she can have bonfires in her backyard. Totally do. Let's just go to Randy's house and not tell him and start a bonfire in his backyard. Don't tell Randy. Shh.

Do you think he would borrow some of his marshmallows? Do you think Randy would give us some marshmallows? He'll just open the door and we'll be there with a huge bonfire. He's like, what the fuck are you guys doing in my yard? Let's see if Christy wants to do it because she always likes to have parties at her house and she has karaoke and video games and she always makes food and she has a.

Trampoline in her backyard. Oh. S'mores. I love s'mores. Yeah, yeah.

Let's do this. You can never microwave them. They never taste the same for microwaved s'mores. My mom used to make them with her cigarette lighter. I thought you were going to finish that.

My mom used to just put cigarettes out in the marshmallow and call it a s'mores. My mom used to eat cigarette ashes when she was. A kid, though. Again, this doesn't surprise me. She and all my aunts and uncles, they would eat my grandma's cigarette ashes out.

Of the ashtray. They're like, they taste like burned marshmallows. No, they fucking taste like cigarette ashes, you weird fucking child. That's creepy. Do you have any Halloween stories?

Well, one's not too surprising for me. You know, anytime I see my best friend's ex-boyfriend, Daniel, he likes to bring this up. We were dressed up for Halloween, and I don't remember what I was. I think I was like. Little Miss Muffet or something, you know, like one of those little, it wasn't extremely slutty, but one of those slutty Halloween fairy tales.

Slutty-esque. I mean, you know, it's just like. Slutty girls in slutty costumes, whoring it up. There's no slutty Chewbacca over there. Oh, God.

It's awesome. No, but. Slutty Chewbacca. Slutty Chewbacca. It was a short dress and there was a petticoat involved.

So, actually, I think I was Alice in Wonderland. So I had the striped tights on, and I had underwear on under the tights, and then. I double-bagged it. I shouldn't put underwear on the top of the tights. But they were cute underwear that I bought specifically to match.

They were not granny panties? Well, they were. Were they ruffly, though? They were ruffly. Ruffly but resolved.

They specifically matched the dress. And then I had a little petticoat. But I was, like, not really bent over, but I was, like, doing something. And we were at this place called the Baxter Avenue Morgue, which is, like, a haunted house. And all these teenagers came out after they were chased by the chainsaw guy.

And one of them yelled, damn, that girl's showing her religion. So anytime I see Daniel, and this was like five years ago, he still goes, damn, that girl's showing her religion. I don't think that applies to girls. I mean, I guess it can. I don't really know what that means.

I don't know what that means. I mean, I would understand what that means if you were talking about a guy. I'm not so sure it applies to girls. Hey, I could be wrong. If you're of that religion that that would make sense to you, please call in and let us know because I think that person was...

I don't even understand what that. Means at all, but. I think i might be best not knowing that was funny and then one year i dressed up as a gangster and that was fun and then the next year i was a zombie housewife i think. I remember that you were dressed up too yeah i never got big into the whole dressing up thing i don't know i guess when i was a kid i kind of did because everybody else was doing it but once i reached like a certain age i'm just like no. It got way more fun once i became an adult actually i haven't dressed up in a while.

If there's no reason to, I don't understand it. Some people just do it and then like sit around. I'm like, unless there's a real reason, I'm not going to bother because it's a big pain in the ass, which is why for years I haven't dressed up because there's not really anything to do, so what. Do I care? Yeah.

I don't remember dressing up for like the last three Halloweens at least. Yep. Sad. Sad story. That's the horror of Halloween.

I brought us down. We were talking about Halloween stuff and now we're all sad again. That's the horror of Halloween. Sometimes you get old and it just dies. Alright.

Are we done? Now it's all depressed. Brought it down. Now Misty is wedging chocolate eyeballs into her eyes and she kind of looks like Marty Feldman as Igor I. Was calling more for the villain in Who Framed Roger.

Yeah actually he has the same kind of look so yeah you sort of look like Doom I can't do it now you look very much like Doom because they're not even facing the right direction Now can you do that super high-pitched voice that he does? I can't do it now. Don't just like this. Don't just like this. I can't do it now.

I can't do it either. I know, it's hard, isn't it? They're too big. Oh, Lord. That's what she said.

I was hoping we wouldn't go. Oh, look, I got it. I got it. Your ceiling eyes. Come on.

You love ceiling eyes. Here. Otherwise, that about does it. We will return next week. Same geek time, same geek feed.
