Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power. Provide more cooling in the containment chamber. To your citizens, we have a movie meltdown. You want to ride behind somebody who does something like that? I'm going to pull around them and leave them safely behind us.

Burn some dust here. Eat my rubber. What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian. I am Misty.

I'm Jay. Jay is driving right now. I'm going to talk loud. Because we are on the road. We are on the road.

We are on the road again, and we are back on the highway. Go for it. No. No. Fine.

So yes, we are back. No, you're stuck in my head. And no, I'm not going to sing it. Fine. But yes, back on the road.

This time we're heading up to Indianapolis for Days of the Dead. It's the first time we've been to this one, so it will be interesting to see what they have put together. Convention, or are we just now slacking? As far as I know, I have not seen anything on it before, so this might be their first year, but it seems interesting. They've got a lineup of people, some of which I've not seen at conventions before, as many as we have.

And what is their website? You tell me. Daysofthedead.net. I had to look it up before we left the house. Just double-checking. fact-checking.

Don't want to throw it out there wrong. com and. Net' s mixed in. A lot of crazy websites. Now there's, like,. tv, you know. You can...

I'm trying to think what it is. There's, like, a whole new thing that they've opened up now that you can buy. like, whatever you want. It costs a lot more, but, like, there's all these new. Avenues they keep opening up because we've filled up so much of the internet at this point with random crap and porn. So, you know.

They're gonna show the pictures of cute kittens. And porn. Oh, yeah. And Foamy. Do we want to have a rant on Foamy for a few minutes?

I don't know. It's pretty awesome. I spent a good portion of, well, I don't know how long, watching Foamy the Squirrel videos. I was entertained beyond words. If you're not familiar with it, yes, Foamy the Squirrel is pretty awesome.

And I think we've decided to kind of see if. She wore a squirrel. Oh, man. What? Foamy is awesome.

Yeah, foamy is awesome. But yeah, the only reason I found it, because I was trying to find an example with the supervisor I had that day, was like, because he was very squirrely and twitchy. He was not at all some, like, foamy and squirrely. He was just very odd. Maybe very uncomfortable.

Very frightened by booty at some point. I don't remember the context, but it still made me uncomfortable. Get your booty out of here. That's inappropriate. Yeah, I didn't like it.

Especially when you're twitchy. It'd be one thing if he was a hot guy, but I still look booty. Yeah, it still made me uncomfortable. In traditional workplaces, that's uncalled for. If you're like where Marlena works, you know, that's like the nicest thing you've heard of.

It was twitchy when he. Said it, too. That made it even worse. Get your booty out of here. I was twitching if you missed it.

Oh, the visual. Twitchy, twitchy. It's kind of the twist, but whatever. It's hard to twitch when you're in a car. Alright, I'm done.

Alright, well that sort of crossed over into our internet geek activities, so we'll go ahead and roll on into that. So yeah, aside from watching at least three of the ranting foamy videos. There was a deflated deer back there. It was flat. Its insides were outsides.

Oh. I don't know what to do with that. You got creeped out by dead animals. Maybe you are sitting there laughing about them. That's kind of what I was thinking.

Deflated deers are funny. I don't know why. Everything else creeps me out. And I'm not like I'm in contact with it. I didn't like have to go look at it.

We just saw it passing. There's one on the way home that's like completely flat. Except for its head. It looks like a deflated balloon. You're easily amused. as long as they're dead.

Far away. You got a deer skull creeps you out. Hey, you know what? I'm going to go start your hipster tattoo. Hey, you brought it up.

You started it. Whatever. Hipster tattoo. It's not. Aside from my.

I was thinking that, yeah, I don't have a ton of movies, but I did spend a ridiculous amount of time yesterday watching Animals or Dicks, or what. Is it called? Animals Being Dicks. Animals Being Dicks. Which, yeah, that...

We all watched that. Yeah. Independently. Well, not all independently. Me and Jay watched it together, separately of you.

Because I posted it on there. But, yeah, it's... I don't even remember what led me. Somebody might have just linked one of the individual videos, and then I went to the website, and it's not a fancy website, and I can't say anything because neither is ours, but it's not a fancy website. The video quality on it, not great, but.

It's like cell phone quality video. God damn, those videos are fun. Yeah. So, yeah, just animals being dicks. It's completely accurate.

And, yeah, just when you thought, you know, I say all the time humans are terrible. But, yeah, and you think that that evil that's inside of us is just, you know, sort of innate within human beings. But, no, then you watch, like, a bird shove a turtle off a countertop. Into the garbage can. Poor turtle.

And then, like, what was it? She didn't get raped by Jack Russell. Yeah, what? I fucking hate Jack Russell Terriers. I've always hated Jack Russell Terriers.

My sister had a Jack Russell Terrier, and his name was Ruby, and I hated that dog, and I kicked it on multiple occasions. Until it was flat. Yes. I hated that dog. Only good Jack Russell Terriers who don't only have three legs.

Because animals are always cuter when they only have three legs. That's true. Any dog with three legs. What was that one dog that had two legs? That dog was awesome.

That dog was awesome, actually. Actually, I've seen two different kinds. I've seen one that was back two legs, and he walked up right. Yeah, I've seen that. That one was awesome.

And then there was one front and one back, but they were opposite of each other, so that one could run. That one was amazing. I saw that one, too, yeah. Well, no, the one I saw had it both on one side, so I'd be afraid it would tip over. Yeah, that would be much harder.

The one I saw was one opposite front and back, so that one could run like a normal dog. It was crazy. Couldn't stand, but he could run like no one's business. That momentum carries him, I guess. Oh, so yeah.

Lots of animals being dicks yesterday, which doesn't take very long. I don't think anybody should purposefully remove a limb from a dog or any animal just to make them cuter. It's going to make it cuter. No, no, no. The Jack Russell Terry that I was aware of that only had three legs was bitten by a spider and it lost its leg that way.

It was not intentionally removed just for the sake of being cute. I don't want anybody to think that I'm suggesting that you cut legs off of animals. I'm not. I can't believe she said that. Oh, this is a Jack Russell.

Go ahead and cut their lights off. They're ugly anyways. Yeah, nobody likes those. So, let's see. Aside from that, yeah, that's what I was telling them earlier.

I have it. Just about everything I've watched lately I've brought up on the last preview shows. Look at that. These fucking kayaks can be stuffed in a damn truck. They have a lot of kayakers.

12 of them. Yeah, really. It's a whole boatload of people. Literally. He's just really finicky.

Maybe I'll take the purple kayak. I might want the orange one, though. I don't know. It's like swatches. I never know what mood I'll be in when I want to go kayaking.

Oh, Lord. So, yeah. All the souvenirs from Kayak or She's Killed the Longest River. Yeah, maybe. That's what it is.

The River Killer. The Kayak Killer. But, yeah, other than that, I haven't watched a. Well, everything I've watched has been specifically for the show, one of which we're going to talk about later. Two or three of the other ones were stuff I was sort of prepping for today's show, and we're going to end up talking about down the road, so...

Yeah, of stuff I haven't... It's not going to come up later. I don't really have a whole lot. So I was trying to think. The only other thing I've been watching lately...

And I don't think I brought this up. I think Greg brought it up a long time ago. I am working my way through the guild. It's Felicia Day, and she's so cute for a gender. See, that's the thing.

Once again, people can't call us out because I think Felicia Day is ridiculously cute, adorable. She's cute, but she doesn't cross over into hot or trashy. She's exclusively cute. Hot or trashy. Boy, there's some girls that are hot, and there's some girls that are, like, hot, trashy, sexy.

She doesn't cross that line. She's just too cute. Yeah, she is adorable. Hot, trashy, sexy. I don't think she wants to be trashy.

She could probably be hot if she, like, hot-headed herself up. She was ridiculously cute in Dr. Horrible's sing-along vlog, though. Yeah, she was. I haven't watched The Guild.

The Guild's pretty damn entertaining, that's the thing. I mean, being as geek-centric as we are here, I mean, it's nothing but built around people who play, I don't even think they've call it World of Warcraft, but yeah, it's an online gaming guild. And, like, it's them on their little dorky adventures, you know, which basically... It's so. Funny because it's all about them normally having these adventures sitting there with the headset on, but.

What? Here's another flat animal. Like, ridiculously flat. Like, I couldn't even tell what kind of animal it was anymore. Oh, God.

It was way fucking. It was kind of an ovular shape, like in a pattern on the ground. There was no distinguishable features. Like a cartoon. Yeah, like it got rid of her by a steamroller.

Yeah. Anything else, Dad? We've seen several dead animals. That one just struck me as odd because it didn't have any distinguished features. I had no idea what it was.

Road trip. It's on a road trip, damn it. This is definitely road trip material here. So, but yeah, this is the. I got letters from PETA for talking about dead animals.

I didn't run over any animals. Except for that bird that one time, but he was asking for it. I already said we totally support the ASPCA and... whatever the other Humane Society or any of those, after I ripped off their video and made that promo for it. I was like, okay, I'm making fun of the person that does this commercial because they're kind of seem like a douchebag rock star. But yeah, not the organization.

I actually like what they're doing and it's actually legitimately sad what they're trying to stop. So yeah, I think we fall on the good side of animals. We like cuter animals being dicks. Just not flattened. I'm not happy that the animals are dead.

They're already dead. It's not like I killed them. I'm just pointing out the fact that they're flat. And I'm a horrible person. Well, we know that.

Alright. So, okay. But yeah, the guild's pretty damn entertaining. It's them when they actually end up crossing over into the real world and having their little dorky adventures. And it's pretty entertaining.

It's not very long, which that's the sad part, is how. far I'm into it because the seasons are like a little more than an hour half the time because it started as a web series and I think it. Still initially comes out that way but. It's pretty entertaining I have to say a good portion of it goes to Felicia Day she's just so damn likable but the rest of the cast is like frighteningly accurate I'm assuming. I don't play a lot of internet gaming. But I'm assuming I know my dorks because I am one and I certainly feel like this is.

A very realistic group of dorks that they've crossed over. Into Especially when they meet the evil dorks. The ones that are like their nemesis group. That's led by Wil Wheaton. It's pretty awesome.

I love Wil Wheaton. It's pretty awesome. They're the bad guild. They're the top guild in the game. They're there to be jackasses.

And they are jackasses, by the way. So yeah, that's pretty much... About all I've been watching that wasn't stuff that's going to come up later. So, I guess I can hand it on off to Misty. What have you been watching?

Oh, I watched a shitload of stuff. Well, only a couple things I watched by myself, so I'll talk about those first, and then we'll get into what me and Jay watched together. I watched the first two seasons of Justified, and oh my god damn, I am in love with that show. That show is fantastic. I loved it with the elephants.

It takes place in Kentucky! Well, it's supposed to take place in Kentucky. It doesn't really. It does not at all. But I love that show.

I love the guy. Who plays Boyd. He's fucking nuts. I can't remember the guy's name. But he's fucking nuts.

And I love him. I love the whole damn show. That show is just fucking fine. I'm trying to get Jay to watch it. Because of my thing with Timothy Oliphant.

I can't get him to sit down and watch it with me. No, it's not that. I just. I don't want to watch a TV show about Kentucky. I've lived in Kentucky.

But it's not really in Kentucky. It's the same thing. It's awesome, damn it. It's a very different part than you live in. That's something.

It's like the Daily Post. Going's about at Bullitt County, so, you know. But it's Timothy Olyphant, and he's shooting people. Oh, okay. Maybe I'll watch it, but I have too many other shows on my list of things to watch that I never get around to watch.

But this one's awesome. My other ones are awesome as well. How do you know they're awesome as this? They are. You don't know.

I know. Yeah, I do. No, you don't. That's what I do. No, you don't.

Ever. All right, and then other than that, I watched The Ward with Amber Heard, because she's awesome. and I can't say too much about this movie because then I'll ruin it because it's so much like another movie that if I compare it everybody's going to know how it ends and I ruined a lot of movies. And I think we should probably talk about this one maybe sort of in the future so we'll. Just leave it at that I watched The Ward and it was pretty good I liked it awesome then me and Jay watched a shitload of movies watched The Warrior's Way you know how about The Warrior's. Way you liked it yeah I liked it it was okay It was good.

That's your full review. That's okay. That's my full fucking review. I liked it. It was okay.

No, yeah, it was good. It had the whole kind of kung fu feel to it, you know. Man fleeing from China. Well, he's fleeing from Japan, but. It wasn't about a warrior.

He's raised and brought up to be a warrior, and his whole job was to kill off this other... Clan. Clan. But it gets to the point where. The guy tells him to kill this baby.

The baby's the last one of this clan left, and he can't do it. So he takes the baby, and he moves to... america yeah he moves to this town that's kind of like an old like west town it looks like marlena would live there yeah it's like a circus sideshow town it's like they. They're trying to make it into i guess like some kind of carnival town they. Have a ferris wheel and it's like everybody they're like almost everybody they're like some kind of circus freak of some variety they're not like pinheads or anything they're just like They're performers. Yeah.

Fire breathers or whatever, you. Know, jugglers. And it's pretty awesome. And then it's like, he has to deal with, there's this band of like other. Banditos.

Like, yeah, a guy who apparently killed this girl's family and he's managed to piss him off. So he's got them coming. Plus the, the, the warrior that hired him to, or told him to kill the other clan. He's pissed off. So he's coming too.

So he's got this band of. cowboys and this band of indians not indians where the fuck did indians come from yeah okay. There's no indians in this film because that would be politically incorrect and there are no banditos in this film because that would be politically incorrect instead we have roving band of ex-civil war soldier type jackasses you just want to go around and rape people. But yeah, that's about what it is. Yeah, it's got them and ninjas. And the ninja clan shows up around the same time.

So it's the ex-war people looking and then the ninjas and they're all fighting. So there's all kinds of shit going on. And then all in the middle of that, he's busy trying to figure out how to fall in love with this girl. And I hate that girl. It's that one Kate, is her name Kate Bosworth?

If anybody could make a live action character of Jessie from Toy Story, that's pretty much her. Kind of. Yeah. She's Jessie from Toy Story. She needed to eat a sandwich.

Well, howdy, y'all. Dude, seriously, her really bad accent. It was. How was it? Howdy, y'all.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. Kate Bosworth with a, yeah, it was horrible, her accent. Yeah, she was horrible. She needs to eat a sandwich. But, yeah, that was entertaining.

And we watched... We watched the Eclipse, Twilight Eclipse, with the Riff Trax, which is the only way to watch Twilight movies, because it's the only thing that makes them tolerable. Yeah. It's the only way I will watch them. It was just horrible.

I can't even think of a word to describe how bad this movie was. It was just pointless. and stupid he's got i want to shoot. A 14 year old's wet dream pretty much. It's edward oh whatever that other guy's name jacob. Jacob god oh which one do i want.

Which one does she choose that the abusive stalker creepy one that the pasty boy yeah the one who's always like following her what one she's telling her who she can be friends with i'm like what a dick dude seriously don't tell me. Yeah, I don't understand how she could resist the power of... Jacob's abs? Jacob's abs. Dude, seriously.

Dude, if I could have abs like that. Dude, if you could have abs like that, we'd never leave the house. I had abs like that at one point. I don't think you did. I did.

Not like that. A long time ago. A long, long time ago. You need a time machine. But anyways, yeah, the movie was just, ugh, drug on.

And they changed Victoria. It's not the chick from Big Wolf on Campus anymore. It's, what's her name? The Dallas Bryce, Bryce Dallas Howard, whatever the. Fuck her name is.

Yeah. Anyways, and I didn't like her in this movie. There's no point for her to be in this movie. The only thing I've got a problem with is, like, you know, as far as changing the whole vampire mythos, since when do vampires fall apart like fucking porcelain? What the hell's up with that shit?

Yeah, punch them when they shatter like a damn toilet. Yeah, no, really. How come they don't shatter while they're running? They're flexible, but you fucking punch them and then they break. They're fragile.

Yeah, fuck that. When you're sparkly, you're fragile. I guess. I don't know. What the hell is all of that?

That and for some reason the werewolves apparently can't kill them. They can knock them around a little bit. They can't fucking kill them. I thought it was stupid. It takes the other vampires to shatter them.

Oh, the other funny thing was, what's that other guy's name? Jasper? Jasper! You know? It's so sad that I know that.

He talks all normal, and then they have this flashback, back when he was in the Civil War, and then he starts all of a sudden talking with a Southern accent, but then it kind of gets garbled at certain points. But it's like, all of a sudden, he's remembered, hey, I talk Southern, you know? The fuck did that come from? You're a man of many accents today, sir. You got your Western accent.

You got your Southern accent. You're a chock full of them today. Are there any accents in any other movies we watched? Uh, yeah, I don't know. Let's just do random ones.

Scottish, go! Scottish, I don't know Scottish. I could do it, but then that probably wouldn't sound right. But your other ones sounded perfect. I don't know.

All right, what else? Should we talk about what else we watched? Oh, Priest. We watched Priest. Yeah.

Priest I liked. They did more Black Hat. Yeah. Needed more Carl Ehrman. Needed a little bit less Paul Bettany.

Yeah. He's weird looking. Which, by the way, how the fuck did Phil Collins come out with a hot daughter? Dude, I have no fucking clue, but his daughter, Lily Collins. Beautiful.

I know. Her mom must be hot. I don't know. Was she? I don't think she was either.

That's the thing. I mean, I looked it up, but yeah, she's not hot either. I don't know. Maybe they adopted her. Maybe they stole her.

Maybe they bought her with all this Genesis money. I guess. I don't know. It's Phil fucking Collins. I mean, it's not actually.

Maybe he's got some hidden hot gene somewhere that's. Just kind of. Deeply, deeply hidden. Deeply rooted. Yeah, hidden hot gene.

Yeah. What? You don't think he's hot? I mean, looking back, that's Susudio hair. I mean, look at.

Does he ever have hair? I don't think so. I think he was, like, 20 and had that one little, like, little tough thing. Yeah, that little tough thing. That's the bad thing is, like, okay, she's kind of semi-famous, I guess.

She's an actress, so she's going to have a little bit of money to at least stay in shape. Granted, in the real world where the rest of us real people live, if she was just a normal person, she would be hot throughout high school, but then slowly she would start turning into Phil Collins because that's what most people... most girls that I've seen do, but have, like, completely fugly dads, you know, and then they turn out hot through high school, and you're like, damn, that girl's hot, and then you see her, like, ten years later, after you graduated high school, and she's like, doesn't give a, you know, fucking piss about you, and then you see her working at fucking BP, and she's working in the.

Deli, and she's like, hi, you remember me? And her accent. You're like, oh, god, yeah, I remember you, you were hot. Like, job of the hood. Yeah.

Yeah, see? She's got money. She'll still be hot. She won't turn out like Phil Collins, hopefully. I was surprised there was a brief cameo in there, but I can't say her name right, but Madchenamik?

Madchenamik? Yeah. The chick from Twin Peaks. Shelly, Leo's wife. Who is she?

Who did she play? She was the mother of Lily Collins. Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. She was in there for a very short period.

Enough to get killed. Oh, yeah, you never ruined it. It wouldn't be this time. Oh, I'm sorry. It happens at the beginning of the movie.

You're not really missing anything. Yeah, it's not like you're going to go, oh, I don't want. You know it's going to happen. Yeah, there's not enough Carl Urban in this movie. That's about all I can say about it.

I mean. I like his motorcycle. That's cool. I want a futuristic motorcycle like that. Build it, dude.

I will. I'll build the fuck out of it. I don't even know what the hell it runs on. It runs on cool. It runs on wishes and rainbows.

And ponies. And ponies. Back to more animal killing. No! How do you fuel it with ponies then?

You fuel it with pony poop. Poop out rainbows and then you put it. In your motorcycle. Duh. Duh indeed.

But yeah, I think it was tolerable. I hadn't heard too much bad shit about it. I heard that it sucked. There's so many different things, like, thrown together. But as long as you're not expecting too much and you just kind of enjoy it for what it is.

Yeah. I didn't think it was bad. I mean, I like the idea of it. You know, I like the idea that, you know, maybe the church does have some kind of fucking militant monk sect, kind of like Buddhists do. But they don't.

They're just not that cool, I guess. Sorry. You know, whatever. It's still cool, the idea, though. Yeah.

That and the church just completely turns their back on them and they turn into that church state where the church tells you what. To do and, you know, all that other crap. I have no point. Are we done with the priest? Yeah, we're done.

Hey, hey, hey. Real quick. One more thing I forgot. Accent? No, no, no, no.

Party geek week. Yeah, we did. I'm a birthday. We're not done yet. We still have a list.

No, no, no, no, no. But I'm a birthday. We went and saw the midnight showing of Spaceballs. Which... With your kid.

With my kid. With at one point. I thought was completely fucking hilarious, and then I went back and watched it. It's still pretty funny, but not as funny as it was when. I first saw it.

Not as funny as the bitch cackling behind me made it out to be. Oh, my God. It was so bad, even my kid was going, shut up. I mean, I'm serious. People have annoying laughs sometimes, but this bitch had to sit right behind me, and it was like...

Oh, yeah. The whole fucking movie. Come the desert, I get it. Yeah, it was between her. At the beginning of the film, there was a guy that sat down and he was like.

Yeah. The whole time before the movie started. Oh my God, this guy's going to fucking kill me. He was the epitome of all fat movie geeks that you hate. Who lives in his mom's basement and never makes it out.

I think he was wearing sweatpants. Maybe some Velcro shoes. I'm not even sure. He was talking to these people and they were six teats down. He was the uber geek that knew everything about every movie and...

Oh, you mean... actually, you know, and you're like, oh, dude, I'm going to slap this guy beside the fucking head. But he laughed. Everything he said was funny. I thought, however, I'd kick his ass when the movie started. But by the time the movie started, nothing.

I didn't hear anything from him. Yeah, no. It was the cackling bitch. The bitch behind us started. But it was nice to see a midnight showing where other people brought their kids.

Because it was my daughter's first midnight showing of kind of a little bit of a cult movie. She loved the hell. Out of it. First time she'd ever seen Spaceballs. She enjoyed it.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus, she kind of dug the idea of hanging out at midnight. You know, and not having to go to bed. Because she was like. I pooped on her parade and wouldn't let you buy her any popcorn.

Because we just fucking had cake. Yeah, I know. So, whatever. Don't eat popcorn if you just fucking had cake. I know.

You saved me probably $ 20. Because really, popcorn is fucking ridiculous in the movies. They rip the fuck out of you. That's where they make their money? I don't know.

That's stupid. Now they're charging too much money for this shit. Now they're going to charge you more money for popcorn? I'm sneaking my shit in. Fuck you guys.

Are you done with it? Yeah, I'm done with it. Just for my two cents, yeah, I thought Spaceballs was sort of the turning point for Mel Brooks. I mean, it's like he, like his old stuff is genius, but Spaceballs was the first one that kind of started to feel like the Zucker movies. You know, when you had like, it was sort of doing like it's taking a movie that we all know pretty well, or even a genre that we all know pretty well, and then just kind of doing rip-offs of other scenes from other movies, which is what I hate in those kind of movies now, where you go back and look at, like, you know, Lazy Saddles, it's like, that's making fun of the whole idea of westerns, and the tropes of westerns, but it doesn't really rip off specific scenes from other movies.

And that was the dividing line with Mel Brooks, where he started to get lazy, I don't know, I mean, I like Spaceball's a lot there are fun scenes in it but it's the first one I saw that seems like he starts like dialing it back and just sort of making fun of other stuff in pop culture and other movies and then you look at like Robin Hood Man in Tights totally does that so yeah to me he started going downhill right at that sort of that jump to shark moment for him of going downhill on his movie. But I do like Robin Hood Men in Tights. It's the same thing. It's got good scenes, but it's totally just like completely and utterly making fun of the Kevin Costner movie. It's ripping off specific scenes out of other movies that were popular at the time.

And his old movies didn't do that. I mean, you go back and look at stuff. It's like it would make fun of High Anxiety. It's making fun of all of the Hitchcock stuff, but it's only once or twice they do specific little. things it's like usually it's making. Fun of the whole genre silent movie same thing the whole thing but it's not like totally ripping off other people's movies which now what all those.

Lazy you know epic movies and date movies scary movie it's like they all do that and it's so there's no originality to it at all so it's like that was kind of yeah when i look back it's kind of sad Because he started going down that road. Because I think he was better than that. And probably still is. He's still kind of a genius. But that was just a turning.

Point for me in his movie. Yeah. I mean, I liked it because it had Cary Elwes. Yeah, Cary Elwes. Cary Elwes.

Man can do no wrong in my eyes. He's a great actor. Just in my opinion. And Crush was awesome. Probably other people think he sucks.

I love Crush. Yeah, I love Crush. Love the fuck out of Princess Bride. One of my favorite fucking movies. Which actually got me hired at the Suncoast that you worked at for a day.

And then I quit. I went through the training and was like, you know what? I can't handle being a retail because I'll tell people to fuck off. You know? So then I just quit.

I quit before I ended up having to kill anybody. Yeah, that's... Last episode we went into how some of those weird people used to come in and you had to sort of put up with them even when you think they're just total idiots. Yeah. Yeah, so this...

You would not have done well with people like Jeffrey. Yeah. No, I would have set people on fire. Yeah. I was one step away.

That's why I got the hell out. Oh, well. What else did we do? What else did we watch? We watched The Mechanic.

Mechanic. Yeah. I guess it depends on your version of what you want to watch. I mean. you know, it's okay. It's like, take every Jason Statham movie.

Water it down. And you've got the mechanic. Take all the fun stuff. He didn't drive a car that much. No cars.

He didn't fight that much. He didn't fight hardly at all. He hardly ever had his shirt off. No. So anybody who was wanting to watch it to see Jason...

Transporter 4. Yeah, for his shirt off. Now, you don't get that. So sorry, ladies and guys. You don't get that.

You just get him nursing this. Ben Foster. Ben Foster useless. Just. He's fucking useless.

And he doesn't listen. And he almost gets ass raped because he's a fucking asshole. You know, he told them, don't fuck with this guy. This guy will fuck you up. And what does he do?

And he will fuck you. And he doesn't listen. And this guy really, literally fucks him up. He's fucked up the most in the movie. Hey, you should have listened to your, always listened to your teacher.

Yoda? You don't question Yoda. You don't question those guys. You don't question, uh. Are you comparing Jason Statham to Yoda?

No, not really. But you know what I mean. At any point did Ben Foster climb on the back of Jason Statham. In a little backpack and run around together? No, he ran the other way around.

Ha ha ha. But either way, yeah, he just doesn't listen to them, really. But, I mean, the only enjoyable part of it was it had the old man. What's his name? Ah, the old guy.

I like the movies that he's been in when he was younger, but I can't think of his name. Whatever. If you've seen the film, you know who it is. Oh, it's Donald Sutherland. Donald Sutherland.

Yeah, I like Donald Sutherland. Took me a second. I got it. He's good. Because I remember talking about, like, at least he's not naked in it.

Oh, yeah. Not really. Because he was old. Yeah. Nobody wants old man falling junk.

That's gross. Any more else to say about The Mechanic? No, not really. Yeah, watch it if you want to see a mediocre assassin movie. Very mediocre.

Very mediocre. Yeah, I was kind of disappointed. Speaking of disappointments, watch The Expendables. Oh, my good God. Yeah.

That was written by Sylvester Stallone, right? He wrote the screenplay. He wrote the screenplay. He had to, because it reeks of Sylvester Stallone one-liners. Everybody's got one-liners in this movie, and they all fucking suck.

You know, they're all sitting around, and he's sitting there going, Oh, this is going to be good. You know? Listen to this one. That sounds totally off. It is.

I've had too much coffee, so I can't concentrate on my accents. And I'm driving. You need to do a Dolph Lundgren Impressionation thing? No, but. I love Dolph Lundgren.

Dolph Lundgren was the best point of this entire fucking movie. Yeah, and you know, I got pissed off that they fucking take, you know, Jet Li, probably one of the guys, the one guy who could probably kick everybody else's ass, with maybe the exception of Jason Statham, and they make him a complete bitch. All he does the entire fucking movie is complain. And complain and whine. And bitch.

And complain and whine. I'm short. I need more money. I'm short. I have to work harder than you.

Yeah, you know. That's all he does the entire movie. I'm shorter. I'm smaller. I have to do more work to be even.

I need more money. Doesn't make any sense. Yeah. Secretly, I think it was Sylvester Stallone. He probably doesn't like Jet Li.

So he wrote this kind of whiny ass bitch part for him. It's kind of a... You know. Kind of. You know, we're all big manly men and you're the little bitch that sits there and cries and shit.

Even though Jet Li probably kicked your ass. You know. And who else was that? Why wasn't The Rock in it? Why was not The Rock in it?

You know why? You know why? Because The Rock would have fucking stolen the show because The Rock's fucking awesome. He would have actually. He is fucking funnier than shit.

I love The Rock. Yeah, I forget who else was in this. I mean, it had Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, it had a brief cameo by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Oh, God. Gently.

It was like... It was a plastic surgery disaster, is what it was. Schwarzenegger shows up, and he's all plastic face, and. Stallone. Stallone?

What the fuck is up with Stallone? He must have went to the same last year. As Mickey Rourke. And then you get the master. You get the master.

Mickey Rourke. Yeah. What was he saying? He said something, and I was just like, what the fuck does that mean? It was a story about the Korean girl that took off a bridge, and if he had saved her, it would have made up for all the people he had killed.

No, it wouldn't have. He's still killing a bunch of people, dumbass. Well, saving that one girl might have saved his soul. It was saving his soul. Saving his soul.

Saving that one girl would have saved his soul. He tried to make him out to be some kind of fucking zen master, monk, tattoo artist. And for some reason, Stallone can only get, like, he got an outline of the tattoo, and I think they shaded it in all within a matter of, like, two seconds. He didn't, like, wash it down. He didn't, like, put any kind of ointment on it.

He just fucking sat down. Yeah, he just sat down. He didn't wash his hands. It's very fucking unsanitary. Is this in prison?

No, it's in a garage. This is not how you do tattoos in the real world. Yeah, he runs this garage slash tattoo parlor thing. Slash hoochie magnet. Slash, yeah, hoochie bar.

Mm-hmm. But, yeah, they try to play him up as some kind of old Zen master, and he comes up with these philosophies that make absolutely no fucking sense whatsoever. Mickey Rourke. Well, it's Mickey Rourke. That and Stallone wrote all this shit thinking it was going to be fucking gold, you know.

Some of his philosophy, you know. Stick to Rambo. And Rock. A brief cameo by Charisma Carpenter being absolutely pointless, high-pitched, and annoying. I swear her voice, like, raised, like, ten octaves in this voice.

She's running around. Oh, my God. I wanted to fucking slap her in her face. Her only point in the movie was to prove that if a guy fucking hits her, Jason Statham's going to go beat his ass. Which was pretty funny, because he did.

He beat his ass. He beat his ass. Well, play basketball. Yeah. Yeah.

Charisma's hot. It's a shame that she's not getting better work. Yeah. Yeah, that movie. Was a big disappointment.

I knew to not expect much, but holy shit, was I disappointed. It's like, I had really low expectations before. that this movie took a shovel and dug underneath my expectations and then crawled in that hole where it was. Yeah, it was bad. Oh, yeah, it was bad. All it was was basically just Stallone getting together, sitting down going, you know, I want to make a movie where we get to ride motorcycles and look cool.

And, oh, my God, everybody slam on their brakes. There's a fucking cop. Holy fucking shit. Maybe he won't know. Let's do 57 in a 70.

Who the fuck's up with that shit? Oh my god, it's 70 miles an hour is the speed limit. Let's drop down to 59. Okay. Dumbass.

Anything else to say about the Expendables? No. No, not really. If you want to see a shitty ass fucking wannabe action movie that's a ghost of what these guys used to be, then yeah, you can go see that. otherwise stick to fucking Predator and Rambo and, you know, all the other good 80s action movies that had real action stars in it, not plastic surgery. We did watch some good action movies.

We watched the Bourne Trilogy. Oh, yeah, we did. It was very action-y. Which I actually liked that. I mean, I've seen the first one.

I saw it a long time ago when it came out, and I loved the hell out of it. I didn't know how I'd feel about Matt Damon. Right after Good Will Hunting. Yeah, I was like, there's no way this guy could play a fucking action guy. Because.

Good Will Hunting, good movie, but I wanted to slap him around in Good Will Hunting because he's kind of a jackass. But that's okay because it still made a good movie. But I was like, I don't know how I'm going to see this guy as some kind of fucking secret agent because he doesn't look like no damn secret agent to me. And that was pretty blown away. It was pretty good.

So we saw the other two. Yeah, the other two were good. Which we had to watch because I had to watch the second one because it had Carl Urban in it as the assassin. So I was like, that was the whole part of her. That's why we watched the entire trilogy so that I could watch the second one because it had Carl Urban in it.

Carl Urban in it. Is he dreamy? But they were all really good. I mean, I had no major complaints about any of them. I don't think.

Except for Julia Stiles and her fat face. Yeah, she doesn't like Julia Stiles. Because it's so weird because she's skinny, but she has this face like a fat girl. I'm telling you. It's like little Twinkies or something.

I don't know because she's got this weird, freakishly round and kind of flat. I don't understand. Not that all fat people have flat faces. I don't understand. But still, I'm just saying.

She's got a weird face and I don't like it. But I've got to say, by the third movie, you can definitely see how Matt Damon's kind of aged, and he's not in the same shape he was in the first. And second movie. He's still good, though. He's still good.

He still plays a believable role. It, once again, reaffirms my idea that the government's constantly out to fuck you and cover up shit and not tell you about stuff that they're doing. Because you know they are. They're not going to tell you. You know?

My dad was in Vietnam. He told me about some crazy-ass shit the government says, oh, we're not doing. But yet he's like, really? Because we're doing it, you know? But whatever.

That's how we operate. Completely different, man. Any other movies? Yeah, one more movie. Oh, what are we?

We watched I Am, number four. Oh, my good God. Your favorite movie. I fucking hated this movie. I love the parts that had Timothy Olyphant in it, because the way he looked at that kid, like he wanted to beat the shit out of him.

That was funny. I could feel that. I wanted him to beat the crap out of that kid so bad. That kid was a whiny little bitch. All he did was say, I want to be a real boy.

I want to do everything. It's not my war. It's not my fight. Yeah. Whiny little bitch.

You're a chosen motherfucker. He's an alien. He's a fucking alien. He's got all these fucking. Powers, and you're going to sit and cry because you don't want to fucking use your powers.

You want to be a normal teenage high school boy and have a girlfriend. You know what? You know how bad I wanted superpowers in fucking high school? What do you mean in high school? You want them now.

Fuck yeah, I do. Me too. But yeah, he just whines and broods and cries throughout the whole movie, and he's just all emo about shit. And Timothy often plays his protector, which I'm like, dude. And he doesn't listen to him.

Of course. I know what's better for me. I know, you know. Know me you know just like oh god shut up yeah. The best part was timothy elephant timothy elephant and the dog dog that was fucking awesome you remember the dog He was a lizard first.

Oh, yeah. And he was a dog. Yeah. And he turned into a fucking monster. Yeah, who was the chicken?

Was it number three? Number six. Number six? They should have made a movie called I Am Number Six. Because all she did was kick the fucking ass about the whole movie.

And she was awesome. Because her protector had already got killed. So she's out there fucking kicking ass, taking names. Not being a whiny bitch while this guy's just, oh, it's not my fault. It's not fair.

Oh, my fucking God. I wanted to beat the hell out of him. She should have beat the hell out of him. She could, too. A nerdy guy falls in love with her.

Of course. Which I was rooting for the nerdy guy. I was hoping, like, even though she was like, oh, this guy's a wimpy, puny human, I was kind of hoping they'd fall in love, you know? Yeah, I like the nerdy guy. I'm like, it's kind of annoying, though, because it's this nerdy guy.

Apparently his dad apparently got taken by aliens, like, a long time ago. So apparently all this, I mean, this is his big secret. This guy ain't supposed to tell anybody. Number four, he's an alien. You don't tell people this shit.

This is top secrets. The nerdy guy asked him, like, one time, dude, what are you? Oh, I'm an alien. He's like, ooh, a lotus. I'm like, what?

That's a secret. What the fuck are you doing? You're just going around telling everybody. Yeah, oh, yeah, by the way, I'm an alien. Oh, his dad was abducted by, it makes him okay.

You can tell him. Yeah. Yeah, fuck that. Timothy Altham was the best part. He was gorgeous.

Well, he has a haircut. He has a haircut. He has long hair, and that's a point, too. Oh, yeah, I like how everybody freaks. That chick wants to sleep with him.

She's all out in the ocean, and then his tattoo starts glowing. She's like, ew, you're. Some kind of freak. Yeah. You were just going to fuck him right out in the ocean.

He's some kind of freak because he's got a glowing tattoo. You can get those. You fucking slut. You can get glowing tattoos in the dark. The black light glows.

Maybe you just black light. I don't think I'd ever do that. Get a glow-in-the-dark tattoo or fuck some chick in the ocean. Both. I think that's about all we watched, isn't it?

Yeah. I think. That was all that was on my list of stuff that I remembered. I'm sure there's other stuff. I just can't remember it right now.

Oh, who's that? Yeah, I don't think we watched anything. I got some Sean Patrick Flannery CDs that are exclusive. They were only released in Japan. You listened to the single.

It was pretty fantastic, wasn't it? Fantastic. Fantastic. In quotation and i'm pretty sure it was a van morrison song that he covered not a cure song i was right i was wrong it said that about big girls or i. Don't know a morrissey song yeah yeah what.

Was the name of the song uh big girls need love too i don't remember uh some girls are bigger than others yeah there you go yeah yeah but it's very uh i listened to the sales i listened to the single and it's pretty fantastic in its badness so john patrick flannery honey if you're out there uh Get away from music career, because. It ain't working. Sorry. Alright. And any more plastic surgeries.

Yeah, no more Botox, honey bunny, because it ain't working either. Your face moves anymore. But he's still gorgeous. Everyone wears V-neck shirts. Thanks.

I have that. But now, while we're still at the front of the show here, I was going to send a thank you out, and this was one... You know, I've mentioned this over the years. Now, of. how much financially, aside from mentally and spiritually, it takes to put the show together. As, you know, you do well.

It breaks Misty on many occasions. But financially, if nothing else, it's damn impossible. And I posted something going, yeah, they cut off our internet service for a day or so, so I can't upload an episode. So anyway, just saying, guys, if you'd like to contribute... So.

Yeah, you know, it's a fight keeping it on track and between the hosting fees and website and having the voicemail set up and, you know, all that stuff. It's like all put together aside from also just being able to have Internet to, you know, upload the thing. It's like it's all a lot to deal with every month. So I threw it out there. I mean, I know some of the shows have actually gotten people that, you know, the listeners can, set it up on paypal to do a contribution that's.

Like a pretty small amount but you know five bucks. A month that's not a whole lot but at the same time you know it actually goes towards taking care of stuff like that so i thought that was kind of an interesting idea threw it out there and immediately well one person no surprise decided they needed to contribute to us. Was it Randy? Yes, it was Randy. Aw, I love Randy.

He's my second... Oh, he's my favorite listener. My second favorite person. He's my favorite person. I was starting to say, I was like, if Jay, if you're not the first, then I feel bad.

It's like, Timmy, a little fun. Then Randy. Jay, you're about seven. If you have Carl Urban in there somewhere. I know.

Patrick Flannery. That one random guy. Yeah, I was kind of hoping that was the placement, but. So, yeah, even though I specifically emailed him, I was like, you already give us so much stuff. Stop, you know, at, I don't know, but you know how Randy is.

So, he's very generous. Randy's the best. He's very generous, so thank you to Randy. Randy's beef jerky saved me. It damn near killed me, but that hurt his feelings.

I probably shouldn't have said that. Beef jerky is an acquired taste. I am a dinky girl, and I cannot fucking handle. Any amount of any kind of spice. I put too much pepper in the... fried rice yeah so.

I thought I was dying for days. Yeah she thought she was dying for days but. Yeah well that one didn't surprise me because he's done it before that's what Randy does he's way too generous. The one that caught me off guard is we got another one and it. Wasn't even we had more than one listener yeah that's what I'm saying it wasn't even like again nobody's signed up for the monthly idea I mean to me that's relatively cheap and like a inexpensive way to sort of support the show.

So, I mean, if you're up for that, email me, I know you can set it up pretty easily. I mean, we've got a PayPal set up already, but I think you can do it that way relatively easy. But this was just a, a random donation. And I was just like, wow, like it caught me off guard from, from somebody that I don't even know if I've talked to them. So if I have, uh, uh, let me know, let me make sure I know that maybe you have an, uh, internet.

Name that I'm not familiar with. But, um, If nothing else, I wanted to send out a big thank you to Sophia, who I believe lives in San Francisco. What a pretty name. I like the name Sophia. She donated towards the cause, so that's awesome.

That really caught me off guard. I was surprised, and it's helpful every time. Anything we get is important, but That was very generous, and thank you very much. So thank you to Sophia, thank you to Randy, and anybody else who, you know, again, it doesn't even have to be much. But I like the idea of people keeping this going, you.

Know, because it's impossible to do, and I've been working on trying to just throw some ads in there and cover it that way, but, you know, I guess the economy doesn't make that easy. Not really. No, we've got a few things that kind of help us out. You know, the tweaked audio is good, but it's not really a, Steady thing, it just kind of kicks in when you guys make use of it. So definitely make use of the tweaked audio meltdown code if you need headphones.

But, yeah, the other stuff, we're just trying to find ways to sort of cover everything. I mean, we try to deliver a lot of stuff, things like the road trips here and all that stuff. So it's... factoring all that in it gets kind of pricey so but i i love doing it so that's why we keep bringing the show to you every week but. You know let me not do it so i don't have a choice. That's why i said i love it i didn't say we love doing it i like driving misty's here at gunpoint most weeks when she does the show seriously but i.

Don't care as long as i don't have to work. That's what i'm saying i mean this is like my i i think i mentioned this you know i was talking to somebody last week and i was like this is my favorite time of the week like this is really the last week when we were recording at the at the coffee shop and i was just like this is the only fun i have all week i mean i sat there for hours and we're not there well that's because you didn't because you didn't bother to come once again there wasn't a gun at your head so you weren't there but again you're always invited to those But, I mean, it's like that's, you know, I sat there for hours and we, you know, drank coffee and talked about movies and made fun of people and, you know, that's what we do.

And it's, it was pretty damned enjoyable. And I was like, that's, you know, that's what keeps me coming back is I think it's fun, but I, at least people are saying it's not just me. It also seems to be fun for other people listening, hopefully. So, yeah, I think, you know, what we do is kind of, enjoyable and entertaining, hopefully. So I try to keep it coming and keep it coming on a weekly basis.

So, I mean, that's sort of hard to do on a time, but, you know, we stick with it. So if you would like to contribute to the cause, I, again, big thank you to Sophia and to Randy and anybody else who wants to. Come on board. There is a link on our page or email me and we can try to figure out a better way to do it. But, yeah, thank you very much to Sophia and Randy.

Thank you. Thank you. I could have given you the pennies I found on the floor earlier. They were tails down. You said we weren't supposed.

To use them. Bad luck. But if I give them to you, then. Thanks. Because what I need is more bad luck.

I like dimes. I don't like pennies. Or nickels. You like shiny things. Huh?

Shiny things. Yeah, but I like dimes better than nickels. Because they're shiny. That's why I just said nickels. Yeah.

I hate nickels. Stupid. Yeah, because they trick you. They're almost big enough to be quarters. So I'm always like, ooh, a quarter.

And then I'm like, ah, fucking nickel. It's bigger than a dime. I don't like that it's bigger than a dime. Yeah, why is it bigger than a dime? Because it's a nickel.

Yeah, the dime totally throws it off. Like penny, nickel, quarter, they all, you know, it's an ascending value. Dime fucks everything up. But I like dimes. It's weird.

Even though it's the one that fucks everything up. Maybe I just like, see, I just like dimes and quarters, get rid of nickels and pennies, and we're all good. Yeah. But then what are you going to throw in when you're at the fountain? I don't want to throw in a fucking quarter.

That's a quarter. That's like 25 wishes, though. Yeah. I'll sit in breakfast. I'll sit down.

Do you want any fountains in the malls anymore? I haven't been to a mall in a long time, so I don't remember. Isn't there a mall in St. Matthews? Or a water fountain.

They had one, but then they turned most of it into a food court because that makes more money. You know, what. Happened to all the fountains? When I was a kid, there was like Jefferson Mall. There was a fountain every fucking five feet.

You get dumb bitches that are texting on their phone to walk into it instead of the mall. That's pretty funny. And they get online and cry about it. Yeah. Now the fountain's gone.

Yeah. Bye, fountain. Fountain and carousels. There was a fucking carousel. You remember.

Oh, you probably don't. There's still one in Jefferson Mall. That. Is there a carousel in the Jefferson Mall? Isn't there a carousel in the Jefferson Mall?

Yes. Get out of here. There is. There used to be one in Bashford Manor Mall. And there used to be these little islands that were in the ground.

And you walked down and sat there and watched TV. I remember those. Back in the 70s. Back in the 70s. It was like a big hole in the middle.

All the old guys, while their wives were out shopping and getting their nails done and getting their hair done and stuff like that, they would sit down there and either watch Price is Right or. Whatever else was on at the time, I don't remember. It wasn't worn yet, so I don't know. It's just funny that it was sunken in. Like, it was a bunker down there.

It didn't make any sense. It's because all the men wanted to hide. And they didn't. It's all safer down there. That's where they got away.

I mean, yeah. And they were probably allowed to smoke in there at that time, if I remember correctly. I'm sure it was. There was a carousel in Jefferson Mall. Oh, is there?

I don't remember. I haven't been there in a long time. They have the carousel, and they have that weird bungee thing. Oh, okay. Well, enough of this shit that probably nobody will ever see.

Whatever. They probably have cool malls in all the other places, except for. Hey, baby, where's the Mall of America? Okay, it's not in Canada. I'm sorry.

You know, a lot of the times I'm wrong, and I know this. I'm right, maybe. 75 % of the time. You're being generous. Hey, I was right four times one time.

All right. Remember? He's keeping track. I am. Four times in four years.

Four times. That's pretty good. You'd have a stick cap going somewhere. In my mind. What's left of it.

You should write that down. Hopefully that's the only thing I can remember is how many times I've been right. Yeah. That's all. Yeah.

All right. On that note, we'll take a break and we'll come back to you a little further down the road. Some girls are bigger than others. Some girls are bigger than others. That I love that you remember the mad scientist toys for years I did I worked for Mattel doing mad scientist monster toys and it was great because it kind of fell in the same genre of all the movies I ended up doing which is like Eternal Living Dead Part II and The Blob. I did this horror film in Germany that never quite made it to the United States. And throughout the years, I just did a bunch of commercials and TV shows. And it ends up that after all these years, it's the horror films that have lasted. And then they have all these horror conventions now, and everyone's like, please, come.

We want to meet you. And at first, I was a little apprehensive. I didn't think anyone was going to show up, but it's quite the opposite. Everyone's really happy to see me, which makes me feel really nice. That's really cool.

Is it something you got away from over the years? I mean, I know you've still got degrees in acting, but. Is it something. Yeah, well, what happened is I was about 17 years old. I started when I was 5, and it's all I'd ever done for about 12 years.

And then I was 17, and they offered me the role that Brian Austin Green took in Beverly Hills 90210. They offered me a 6-year contract... And I said yes for about five weeks. And then I had a change of heart. I was like, you know what?

This is all I've ever done. My friends are going to college. Maybe I should take a small break and just see what's out there. Well, Aaron Spelling wasn't very happy with that. He got really, really mad at me.

Cursed at me like a sailor. Hung up on me. Told me I never worked for him again in this town. I was like, okay, maybe it is time for me to take a break. You know, the same agent I had since I was five years old never spoke to me again.

Ever. She wouldn't even call Aaron Spelling for me. So I was like, okay, you know, I need to take a break. You know, and a lot of child actors didn't really turn out to be great adults. And I knew quite a few of them, and they weren't turning out so well.

So I figured I got to do something different, and I did. And I was really glad. I went to school. You know, I had some businesses. I had a really fun, good life.

And then I got involved in a really long-term relationship And right when that ended, she had this ban on Facebook. She wanted me on Facebook for some reason. I found out why later. So I joined Facebook, and within a couple weeks, all these people from all these conventions were like, please come to these conventions. And I got like thousands of people being like, hey, can I be your friend?

Oh my God. I'm like, really? It's been like 15 years. Are you serious? That's nothing in convention time.

It's nothing. I didn't know. So I was like caught by surprise. And I thought to myself, okay, well, I didn't go look for it. So I'm not a schmo.

I'm not some guy like trying to chase down some, you know, celebrity rehab TV show or something. They came to me. And then, you know, at first I ignored them thinking they're bullshit. Once I found out they were for real... I was like, I'll give it a try.

So I went to a convention and it blew my mind. I couldn't believe it. I mean, people were like calling me for where you're emailing me texting me for a week saying you made my week i'm so happy to meet you the guys that threw the first convention i went to said that for an entire week their website was all about me And they said they've been doing this for like 15 years and it's never happened before. And I was like, what? So, I mean, I guess part of it I have to attribute to the fact that I was like MIA for so long.

That kind of helped a little bit because had I been really available, I would have seen it before or whatever, right? So it was an honor to me. And I also didn't feel like an actor anymore. Even though I was raised an actor, I taught acting. Acting is in my blood.

It's in my family's blood. I felt like a normal person. I've worked normal jobs, had a normal life. And so when this all came back to me, it was like, wow, it's like the ultimate residual check of all time. Because, I mean, when you think about it, look at these.

I was prepubescent in my heyday. So here I am dating these girls that were... way too old for me to have, you know. Anyway, so. Yeah. Now I'm getting to live it all over again and I'm old enough to really, truly appreciate it.

It's a whole new world now. And I really understand what a difference it can make by giving someone some attention or just saying hi to someone or talking to them on Facebook and it makes you feel good. It's way better than the money. I mean, the money's cool, but I mean, having the Dr. Phil effect where you can make someone happy, that's just like, I feel awesome.

Yeah, I mean, the fans can be ridiculously appreciative, especially horror fans. Are so devoted. They are. Well, it's funny, a few of them, they showed me some pictures of themselves in high school, and it all kind of made sense to me. I was like, oh, you were that kid in high school.

Yeah. No wonder why you're so happy to meet me. We're all sort of that kid, I think. Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm a big geek and I'm a big nerd, but I didn't really go to elementary school or high school, so I didn't really have that experience.

But I may have, had I. I'm a super sci-fi, I'm a super horror fan. I read a book a week. I'm nuts. I'm a total geek.

And, you know, I fix computers. I love that stuff. So, you know, they are my people. I just, you know, I didn't have teased out hair like this and glasses that were from their aunt that they, you know, inherited. It's not too late.

I mean, you can still pull that look off if you want. You got a good point there. But at the moment, I'm just kind of in this mode where I'm in awe. I can't believe it. I'm realizing that, I don't know, maybe things come full circle in life.

Yeah. And if they do, they... I'm going to have to pay this back somehow. In some way, in my future, the world's going to be like, pay it forward. We just gave you this great gift of a, you know, in fact, it's reunited my whole acting career.

The first convention I went to, I was offered all these new roles. I didn't have to get an agent or anything. So I was like, there's people out there going to audition after audition after audition, and all I did was show up at a convention, and I got three movie roles and two TV roles. I'm like, okay, thank you, Lord, God, whatever it may be, thank you. It's all about connections, I see.

And I promise to pay it forward. If anyone's listening... I will pay it forward some way in any way I can. So that's kind of where I'm at right now, and I'm loving it. I love meeting the people, and I love hanging out here.

It's amazing that you're that appreciative, yeah, because a lot of people, especially if it gets to a point where they haven't done it in a while, they come back in. It's a weird experience. I've met several of them. I'm not going to mention any names. I have too.

But some of them, I almost want to say agoraphobic or something. They're like, the fans are nuts. I can't take it. I'm like, what are you talking about? They're so happy to see you.

Shake their hand. Say hello. They're like, no way. I'm not shaking their hand. Those people are weird.

They're like out of piercings and shit. I'm like, so? I don't know. I can't understand why someone wouldn't see this as the greatest gift you could get. and that's the way I'm looking at it, and it's really been fun. It's a good perspective.

Right on, yeah. I'm really enjoying it. In seeing, I mean, you were kind of revisiting other properties. Had you seen, like, Return of the Living Dead, the original one? Oh, yeah, I saw them all, absolutely.

I mean, at that point when you were a kid? Yes, in fact, Night of the Living Dead, the very, very original one that spawned them all, is still to this day one of the scariest movies I've ever seen. Definitely. Black and white and all, I mean, it is just freaking scary. But I didn't really like the punk rock's Return of the Dead number one, to tell you the truth.

Yeah. I mean, I kind of don't like any movie that ends in nuclear explosion. That's my favorite part. I'm just sorry. I mean, that's just no way to end a movie.

What are we going to do? Nuclear explosion, it's over. Credits. But I'm from Louisville, so. Okay.

That's my favorite. Part of it. Yeah, I hear you. We do it in my town. Oh, okay, really?

I'm from Louisville. That's awesome. Oh, that's great. In that case, that's really cool. I remember sitting there watching that as a kid, and it was on cable.

Wait, did they just say, I'm used. To New York City and LA. Yeah, but then it's your town. My town. And years later, people would be like, oh, no, they changed that.

They dubbed in different cities. I was like, no. No, that was my town, baby. The guy that helped put that together was from Louisville, and yeah, he worked in his own little hometown. I thought that was so hilarious at the time.

I didn't catch that. That's really cool. Right. And one of the things that really surprised me is some of the fans came up to me and they told me that they used to go in their backyard and they used to play, you know, Jesse, the character I played. Like Jesse versus, you know, the zombies.

I'm like, I played Cowboys and Indians and you played me against zombies? What? How come I didn't know this? You know, it's amazing what goes on that you don't know about until you show up somewhere and you get feedback and you talk to people. Affecting people's lives.

Yeah. It's crazy. I never expected that. So, I mean, that's awesome. Definitely.

I mean, that's so awesome. And then on the blob, as much as the remakes anymore have gotten out of control, that's when they did a good job. Yeah, I hear that a lot. I think so, too. I really liked it and I was glad to take part of it.

And a lot of people don't remember that, you know, Kevin Dillon was in that. Yeah. He was the bad boy in that. Yeah. And then, you know, he later did The Doors, and now Entourage, which he's so famous for.

But a lot of people don't realize that's him, because it kind of doesn't look like him. It's terrible hair. It's terrible hair. It's such terrible hair. He's got that brutish look.

Mullety. Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's bad. But it was cool. It was great.

I mean, those were just good times. Once again, that's another movie I would have done for free as well. It was just a lot of fun. Before. Do you want to talk about the one that never made it over here?

No, no, I don't want to talk about it. IMDb refuses to put it up. Nice. I hate them. They put up a lot of weird stuff.

They won't even put up my... I was an extra neighbor. I was offered the part of Ben Seaver in Growing Pains as a little kid. And my parents said no because I was too young. So they made me the next door neighbor.

I did 16 episodes. You know how many episodes IMDb has on? One. Nice. I've shown them proof.

They've even aged me by five years. I sent in my birth certificate and they refused to change my age. So IMDb is a bunch of stupid idiots. They don't even have my age right. We like to read our descriptions off of IMDb when we talk about the movie and then.

Kind of laugh at how badly they're worded. And wrong, usually. They aged me five years and I sent them my birth certificate and they still wouldn't change it. I'm like, what else can I possibly show you? I sent my driver's license too.

I'm like, I don't have the time to fake this shit, guys. I really don't. And why would they care? Yeah. I mean, why do you care?

What makes you such an authority that you want to age me five years? Thanks a lot. You know, I did a lot of, I was actually more known as a commercial kid. In the end I did 72 commercials, which is a lot in a 12 year span. But I had the all American boy look and that's kind of all it really took.

You know, I mean commercials don't take a real great depth of acting so to speak. It takes more of an expression and an oh my and I can click a seatbelt or eat a cookie or ride in a backseat real well. Play with green climes. Yeah, exactly. And that's pretty much, you know, and believe it or not, back then, you made a lot more money doing commercials. unless you're famous, than you did doing movies.

I think that's still true, really. It may be. I think the working actors, yeah. Yeah, unless you're a really working, working actor, you get paid probably scale to do a movie. But with commercials, the residual checks are just insane.

Like, the last time I did a Nike commercial, it had a bunch of famous athletes and stuff in it, and I was just some guy in it. I could not believe the residuals on that thing. I mean, it probably only aired a couple dozen times, but It probably made as much money as I made on the blob Merchandising Living Day combined. And I was like, wow. I mean, come on, Nike.

Call me back any time you'd like. Set up a deal. Yeah, please. I'll wear your sneakers every day. As soon as you get your own shoe line.

Yeah, there you go. Yeah, they bleed when you walk. Blood comes out, and they scream, more brains, more brains. I think they've already got a Michael, so it's folks' brains. Yeah, I think they do.

Might have to go with something else. Yeah. I think the underwear lines out, too. Damn. I was going to go for the bloody underwear with the skid marks, but I guess not.

That's a harder sell. It is a harder sell. You can always say, honey, they came that way. It's not my fault. It's the tagline for it.

Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's their branding. That's how you know they're mine. Oh, well, is there anything else, I guess, just upcoming projects you want to tell people about? You know, it's all happening so fast.

I really don't want to be one of those people that... I wrote a book many years ago, and I made this mistake of... I got signed to a bunch of these radio shows. and TV shows, and I went and did a bunch of them, and there was one, this nationally syndicated radio show, and I announced to everyone that I was going to be on it, before they had announced that I was going to be on it. They got so upset, they didn't have me on it. So I learned my lesson, I'm not going to say anything until it's like we're shooting next week.

Definitely. Because I just don't want that to ever happen again. I was so embarrassed, too, because someone went out on a ledge to get me this big role in this nationally syndicated radio show. And so I just don't want to go there yet. But keep an eye out because a bunch of stuff's happening.

Definitely. I mean, I'm surprised. And you won't be able to miss it. Let me just say that. It's like big stuff.

You won't be able to miss it. So, you know, if you ever were a fan, get ready, because it's going to happen again. Do you want people to find you on Facebook? Please. You know, I'm really easy to find on Facebook.

Type my name in. I'm really the only one that still looks like he's 12. Yeah. All right? You've held up really well.

Yeah, I look exactly like I did when I'm 12, and I'm pretty much the first page, first three pages in Google, and I'm the first two people to come up on Facebook for some reason. So you should have no trouble finding me. I'm Please, I love Facebook. I love chatting with people. One of my best friends I've ever made in the past few years lives in Brazil, and I met him on Facebook.

And he and I just connected, and he's a cool cat. And one of the girls that flew out here to meet me at the convention, I met on Facebook. And she's incredibly hot, by the way. We'll leave it at that. Okay.

Anyway. Anyways. But she flew out to see me, so that's some... Damn dedication. Definitely.

But I was okay with that. That's Bicycle Girl from the project I'm not going to talk about. That one project. That one project that's produced by Frank Darabont. And it's huge and you're going to be taking over.

We're not going to talk about it though. But she's in that show. Oh, man. Well, she just stuck her tongue out at me for all you people looking. And she's beautiful.

Playing the home game, you know. Yeah, there you go. I think that will work, yeah. Brian, thank you. Thank you for talking to us today.

Absolutely. Beware of the blob. It creeps and leaps and glides and slides across the floor, right through the door, all around the wall. A splotch, a blotch. Be careful of the blob.

Commission time. If leaving, please replace your in-car speaker before releasing brakes or starting motor. Do not back out. Drive to the aisle in front of you and exit. And now, for those remaining...

It's Brian again. Just here to tell you it's coming up on one of our favorite times of year here at Movie Meltdown. It's coming up on the Fright Night Film Fest. This will be the seventh annual Fright Night Film Fest. But not only that, this year also kicks off Fandom Fest, an entire second convention of geek and pop culture.

But wait, you get both awesome shows for the same low price. Now this is no longer just a convention that caters to horror geeks. But it crosses over into a whole new realm where fantasy and sci-fi lovers, as well as comic book collectors, general film lovers, can hang out with gamers, authors, and artists of all types. It's like Geek Valhalla, only you don't have to die to get there, you just have to get your tickets now. Now the main guest, the legend himself, director John Carpenter.

Amazing. One of the most influential directors of our time. Not only that, this list of guests goes on. We've got the Fonz himself, Henry Winkler. That is so awesome.

Also, Margot Kidder, Tiffany Shephus, Larry Drake, Jeremy Bullock, Tony Moore and the stars of The Walking Dead, the stars of Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee not included, a Karate Kid Cobra Kai reunion, and give us a Revenge of the Nerds reunion. Seriously. Featuring Robert Carradine, Larry B. Scott, Curtis Armstrong. And if booger being there wasn't enough, Donald Gibb.

Ogre, ladies and gentlemen, will be there. There's so many others. I mean, the stars of American Graffiti, Jaws, Phantasm, so many other stars. You'll just have to go look at the list. It's ridiculous how many stars are there.

Plus, again, we cross over into all the other activities that are added this year. You've got literary guests and gaming guests and artists. There'll be seminars and workshops going on. Movies the entire weekend, live music, a masquerade ball, and the now infamous Georgetown drive-in event. Plus an appearance from your friends at Movie Meltdown.

And isn't that really the most impressive thing? And it's all going on July 22nd through the 24th in Louisville, Kentucky. So get your tickets now. You can go to FrightNightFilmFest.com or the site for the new convention, Fandom Fest. That's F-A-N-D-O-M-F-E-S-T dot com.

It's going to be one hell of a weekend. The Friday Night Film Fest is my favorite film festival. Hands down. It's part of your problem, you know. You haven't seen enough movies.

All of life's riddles are answered in the movies. And now, on with the show. The Friday Night. Film Fest. Have you seen the trailer for.

The new Footloose movie? No. It looks horrible. It looks the same as the first movie, almost exact. They already made a movie called Footloose.

It's called Footloose. I saw it. It's got Footloose, yeah. It's got Kevin Bacon in it. It's like 900 times better.

All right, so I guess we can go into a little bit of What's the Buzz? Tell me what's happening. What's the buzz? Tell me what's happening. What's the buzz?

Tell me what's happening. What's the buzz? Tell me what's happening. I haven't heard the buzz in a long time. Yeah, I know.

But this one specifically, I thought I'd pass along to you and see what your thoughts on it were. It says, Newcomer producer Andrew Marion, formerly of Los Angeles Real Estate, has acquired the rights to make a movie based on the life story of early TV producer-writer Rod Serling. Yeah, I read about this the other day. I told Jay, and I was like, oh my god, this could be awesome, or this could suck, because I love me some Rod Serling. He's so awesome.

There's so much to know about him. I mean, he was a in the war and he was all you know he did like all kinds of film and radio stuff you know before twilight though and he's such an interesting guy to me but i'm like obsessed and i love. Him you should get the guy from the geico commercial to play him no that was what i was gonna ask who do you. Cast as rhinestone. Not child no.

Who's gonna be You're going to be Rod Serling now. Too late. You already bucked it up. You know who I'd cast? I'd cast an absolute nobody.

Yeah. Somebody who's not going to, you're not got any expectations about or anything like that. That's who you should cast. That's probably for the best. And that's not who they're going to be.

They're going to be somebody stupid. You know who visually somewhat reminds me of Rod Serling? It's going to sound stupid, but Jeff Prost. The guy from Survivor. The host of Survivor.

He has like almost, he's His face kind of resembles Rod Serling's a little bit enough that I can buy that, but his voice doesn't have the... He started smoking cigarettes like 50 years ago. Yeah, like three packs a day. No, four. Rod Serling smoked four packs of cigarettes a day, and he was five foot four.

He was a tiny little man, and he fucking smoked the hell out of his chest and feels. So, yeah. I mean, it depends on who they get to do it and how they do it. I could really like it or I could really hate it. I usually hate biofilms.

I hate them. I really do. We'll get Jim Carrey to play them. Oh, no. You know they will.

Sean Penn. Shia's going to play the young Rod. Jim Carrey's going to play the older one. Typically, I hate Biles. I can't stand him.

I don't like knowing too much. But Rod Sterling is one of those. He's so interesting to me. I'd like to know a little bit about him. I think it could be, again, given to the right person, but that's usually on every one of these stupid stories, so.

From the angle they want to go, if they want to dig up anything, you know, if you ever kicked a puppy or something, they want to dig up, you know, shit and, you know, so it's not true, or the dark side of Ron Surley, you know. Usually they don't with these big Hollywood ones. They're all, like, glossy and. Unless it's a major thing that they fought with. I can't picture him doing anything bad.

I know, but you know it won't be true. It's just like the Bruce Lee story. Half the stuff in it, some of it didn't happen. So they just kind of added it in for, like, woo effect. Entertainment value.

Yeah. They're like, alright that wasn't very interesting so let's make it like do this and that's more. Interesting artistic license yeah we can do whatever we want because it's a movie yeah there's. So much to know about him he was such a he was so fucking creative and just I would have loved it for him to sit and tell me stories I would love that. He kind of did stories it's like you.

Know tucking me in a bed at night That. Would be more awesome if you actually just sat there. Then I'd probably get like Smoker's Lung or something just for being next to me. Secondhand Smoker's Lung? Osmosis Smoker's Lung?

Secondhand smoke kills two people. Don't smoke. It's bad for you. This podcast is brought to you by Chesterfield. Dude, seriously.

Five packs a day. That's why he died during open-heart surgery. He fucking died because of that shit. I made that part up. I think he died during open-heart surgery.

This surgery brought to you by Chesterfield. Do they still make Justice Brothers? No, that's why I keep plugging them, because I don't feel bad plugging something from the 50s. I didn't think they still existed. Alright, what else we got?

This one, I don't know what the hell to think of it. Actually, it doesn't surprise me, but it's a weird idea. Production company Radar. Pictures has Peter Cornwell to direct a science fiction. Thriller called Into Darkness.

And now, here's the really bad part. Into Darkness is an adaptation of the Joseph Conrad novel, Heart of Darkness, the basis for Apocalypse Now. But instead of being a ferry boat on an African river, Into Darkness will be set in outer space. So, I mean, isn't this what they always did with outer space movies? I mean, half of them were like old seafairy movies and they just recast it in space, where This is just like a sort.

Of trip into the jungle war movie that they're getting now. Send it into outer space. Yeah, when's Moby Dick in outer space going to come out? They already have. Oh, they already have that?

There's a new sci-fi one, isn't there? There's a new sci-fi one starring Barry Bostwick. That one's not in space. I heard it was pretty bad. Somebody was telling me about it.

They were just like, the size of Moby Dick was ridiculous. Isn't it always in sci-fi movies? But then I was like, okay, but was it really inconsistent? They were like, I don't know. I don't know. think it might have been i was like yep that's sci-fi.

I love sci-fi original i don't fuck very many devices yeah. But sometimes i'm just like really fact checker come on now. Earlier that thing was the size of a truck and now it'll fit in your pocket i mean just like see we need a little consistency so yeah i don't know what to think of that that's it doesn't surprise me that's what they've been doing with sci-fi forever is just kind of stealing regular ones and making. It Space Madness. I couldn't write anymore.

Alright, so this next one could depend on the, well, again, you're going with what was a child star that now has grown up. So sometimes they don't grow up so cute. Have you seen Hayley Joel Osment lately? Yeah. What happened?

Like, because his sister's cute. Like, his sister started off looking kind of weird like he did, and then, like, when she hit, like. Teen years, she got really cute. So. It's like it reversed on him or something, because as he's getting older, he's getting just that, I don't know, sometimes child stars have issues with growing up looking funky.

Yeah, I don't know what to do with this one. They're calling it potentially stunt casting, but Haley Jo Osment has been cast as young Victor Franklin in Wake the Dead, an adaptation of a comic book based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. Wake the Dead is a modern retelling of the concept with Victor Frankenstein is jealousized into being Victor Franklin, a young medical student who starts experimenting with corpses. Haley Jo Osment was 11 when The Sixth Sense came out in 1999. He is now 23.

Good lord. Yeah, he's an old man. Shit, that makes me even older. Well, we're all pretty ancient at this point. So, yeah, I don't know.

I just. They've done so many versions of Frankenstein. They're doing so many updates of all these old novels and updating it much like in space. You're going to be Frankenstein in space? Frankenstein in space!

It's one of those things that they're going to reboot every damn year. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's such a go-to property. Even if it didn't have a few along the way that make money, it's just such a. Standard that they have to keep doing it.

Yeah, I'm surprised they haven't made a mummy yet. Well, they did. Brendan Fraser ruined it, so they need to reboot that whole idea. Yeah. I mean, I like the concept of the mummy, but it got a little ridiculous.

Oh, yeah. A little. And then it had Brendan Fraser in it. That kind of ruined it for. Me, yeah.

He's Encino Man. That's the best you got? Yeah. Yeah. That's pretty much all he has to his credit at this point.

That's pretty much. All it was, yeah. And he was in. Blast from the Past. Blast from the Past.

Oh, yeah. Okay. Oh. So in the past ten years, Walt Disney Pictures has established their in-studio trend of developing movies based on attractions and their theme parks. I don't know.

What's next? This is always a good idea. The Matterhorn? Should I even read the rest of it? Oh, no.

Are you happy with yourself? I spoil everything. You know this. Wait a minute. What is the Matterhorn?

I don't know. You're the authority. I don't know. Bust it out. The Matterhorn.

Matterhorn. What is that? Is that like a ship? I don't know. I've never been to Disney World, so I don't know.

The only Matterhorn I'm really familiar with is the one they have at the fair. Can you think of the one they have at the fair where you sit in the ride and they play really bad? Really? And they play really bad. That's it?

Quick to the Matterhorn! Okay, woo! That's just the one. At the fair. That's not the one that I'm sure that they are referring to.

That's just the one that I am familiar with, which would also make a fantastic movie. Soundtrack by Justin Timberlake? Is that what it is? He could do that. That's the Matterhorn that I know.

Justin Timberlake just bought a big share in Myspace. He's buying Myspace, which normally, if it were anybody else, I would say, what a stupid idea. That's dead. But he's so in the middle of the music industry. I'm like, I wonder if.

He's got plans. Is he actually. Going to find some way to reboot Myspace? It seems impossible at this point. It's going to be just in space.

Just in space. Oh, yeah. Just in space. Just in space. Okay, so what do they call this thing?

It says the studio has hired screenwriter Jason Dean Hall to adapt the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland. Into The Hill. Oh. The Hill will be about five young adventure seekers who, for mysterious reasons, are called to the top of the mountain. Because they're stupid.

Even better, yetis, and encounter a yetis on the journey down. So if you're just going to make a big yeti movie, that's pretty awesome. Yeah, I don't know. If you're going to make it a goofy Disney tie-in, I don't know. But then that ties into Yetis on Ice.

Which we'll be opening this fall, I'm sure. And we'll all be going to see Yetis on Ice in 3D. Definitely, I'm sure. And smell them. I don't want to smell Yetis.

I kind of smelled that already today. Oh, yeah, I don't want to smell that one. And the only one I was even going to go into, just because we like to bitch about these. You know what you love? It is time for the remake of the week.

Although this was, like, last week. But who cares? I just wanted to bring it up because I... Eh, whatever. See what you think.

So they've... They actually did the rundown of all the projects they're attempting to... Of, like, the 80s remakes of, like... They want to do Carrie. They want to do Poltergeist.

They want to do Red Dawn. They want to do Robocop. So now they said that this week. They've announced plans to remake the 1983 thriller War Games. Yeah!

Because we've got nothing else to do. Obviously. Yeah. The only thing I can think of is. that is technologically massively dated at this point. They can kind of use an update?

In a way. Even 10 years ago, you would look at the computer he was typing on. There was no way he could hack into that damn government. It was just funny. The green screen and sitting the phone in the cradle to call it up and dial in.

It is kind of funny watching the computer system as it were. The whopper that takes up a building, which now probably is, you know, a laptop. It's like my phone. Yeah, it's nothing anymore. So, from that end, I can almost see them doing something different with it, but.

I think the first home computer I had that was probably. Late 80s had 64k of memory. Mine had less than that i had the was yours commodore no mine was atari see mine was the commodore but it was the commodore before the 64 it was the vic 20 oh wow yeah we were cutting edge technology around my house my dad was pretty proud of that thing and. That's probably what he had when he was hacking into the government's uh tape drive. Might have been a Texas instrument.

I don't remember. I mean, if I get my Atari system out, I can hack into the government. Pretty sure, yeah. I can start wars. Yeah.

That's the only thing I was going to say is... Maybe it was a Tandy. Is going to throw it off is because there's not really that World War system anymore. Oh, that Airstream is cool. Look at that.

That's pretty awesome. Oh, it's a short one. Oh, it's a short buzzer. But, no, there's, like, no, you know, there's no great power. There's no arms race like there was then.

Not like we don't have. No, no, no, they could still start shit with China. Yeah, but they don't like the bad enough China. Like, look at Red Dawn. They changed where it's going on from China because they didn't want to piss off the foreign market of film.

Well, yeah, you don't want to fuck piss off China. Yeah. They don't want to do supplies with Chinese food. You know, back in the 80s, we could give a rat's ass what the Russians did. Thought.

We'd make all kinds of horrible movies about them. But now, now everything's about money and, you know, China is a huge market for us. Well, then everything's PC nowadays. That too. Which is why I'm thinking, I mean...

Let's start with Korea. Aren't we not nice to Korea? Everybody's kind of pissed at Korea still, so... That's probably about it. The only thing I can think of is if they do a spin and change it to some sort of terrorist plot.

If you work in, like, the mythological terrorist group out there, whatever, some al-Qaeda knockoff or something, that, like, you. Find some way to tie it into some greater evil. Yeah, but the problem is, if you're going to tie it into some kind of terrorist, they're going to have to be. I mean, what kind of terrorists are there? Well, there's going to be Islamic extremists, which people will buy.

But they're going to be afraid to say anything about that, because. then the the the muslim population will get upset about it so then you'll just have this terrorist extremist yeah white guys or maybe they'll make it the militias or. Some shit like that clan terrorists yeah clan terrorists it's like where do you go nowadays you can't go anywhere because you can't piss anybody off because everybody starts crying. Pretty much it's like it's like. You said back in the 80s we were like fuck russia you know we're like fuck japan In the 80s. Cuba?

Yeah, Cuba. I remember, like, growing up, they were, like, you know, anti-Japan, everything. You know, you had a Japanese car. Oh, you drive a fucking Toyota? You suck.

Fucking Japan sucks, you know? Not anymore. It's all about money. Yeah, so. Actually, we made tons of movies about Russia, and Russia was always the bad guys.

You know? And we didn't care about saying it. But even then, it throws off the whole story. I mean, the whole thing was this, like, you know, Cold War, us versus them, where... terrorists is nobody you know i mean there's no real country of fight it's just random groups of people so to me that's not the same story yeah it's a faceless enemy not that that's even officially what they're doing i'm just i couldn't even think of any other way to do it really without just going with a random country which you're not going to do so i guess a fictional country we're. Going to make up a country either they're going to have to go the gi joe route which is going to have to be a terrorist organization like cobra It's, like, completely faceless, genderless, background-ish, country-less.

Yeah. That nobody will care about because they're probably all clones, you know? Yeah. It's okay if we kill clones. It's the Empire.

It's okay. Yeah. Or the robots or some shit like that, you know? That's funny. Maybe it'll be aliens.

Yeah, maybe. I was just wondering, what if they do a retro? What if they do, like, a Super 8 and set it, like, in that time period? I'm like, well, why... Wouldn't you just watch war games?

Yeah. If you're going to redo it and yet still use the old computer systems and fight against Russia, shit, why not just do it? If it's war games, I don't see why they can't use it against China because it's not really going to be their fault because they're going to see it as, oh, crap, the fucking U.S. Is launching missiles at us. We're going to launch missiles at you.

I mean, that's a real situation. There is a way to do it. if they did it smart and still be able to pull off. It's, hey, nobody's at fault. Because even then, Russia wasn't the bad guy. The computer gets kind of carried away and plays its own little game.

So, I mean, yeah, that can be done. And again, if they skate that right, they can even get it past the, I don't know, that Chinese market's pretty hardcore. They pick and choose what they like, and they like big, dumb American movies. They don't want anything questioning anything. Well, maybe if they put, like, Jackie Chan in it, maybe everything will be okay.

They're going, look, see, we're going to put Jackie Chan in it. A bumbling scientist that works at the end. Yeah, it's going to be funny. You want Jet Li? Okay, we'll put Jet Li in it, too.

Okay, see? See? You're going to have to pay him more. He's shorter. Yeah.

I don't know. You know? I mean, I already saw War Games. Why do I want to see War Games again? Yeah, see?

I mean, that's what I'm saying, dude. There's... There's such a fine line. I don't want them to redo it exactly because that's boring. If you change it too.

Much, it's stupid and it has nothing to do with the original. So it's so hard to do something reboot-wise. Who's doing it again? It would be the Transformers guys. Michael Bay.

Let's hope not. At least they're listing as being attached at this point Seth Gordon. His first one was the documentary King of Kong, which is actually really good. And obviously he likes his retro hardware. He also did Four Christmases.

I never did see King of Kong. King of Kong was pretty interesting. That's what I've heard, but I kind of don't care. Four Christmases looked really bad, but Horrible Losses is his new one, which looks more entertaining. It at least looks like it's a little smarter.

I don't know, a harder edge version of that comedy. Four Christmases just look dumb, man. It's like Jennifer Aniston trying so hard to be relevant. I don't even care. God, I fucking can't stand her man face.

And she's trying so fucking hard. Oh, look at me. I'm gonna eat a banana all sexy. You know what, bitch? You're gonna die alone.

She is, dude. Alone and bitter. There's somebody out there that likes Jennifer Aniston. I'm not buying it. Oh, there is.

There is. There may be a guy somewhere out in Arkansas, but there's some people, there's gotta be some guy that likes Jennifer. Aniston, you know? Hey, I'll take you to my trailer. I'll carry you over the threshold.

Oh wait, I don't got no door. The twister done pulled that off. Oh, so that's a pretty good shape for the bus. I saw that thing online where it said, Jennifer Anderson's new tattoo. I was like, get the hell out of here.

She got Brad, didn't she? Didn't she? She did. Then it was her dog. I was like, wow.

I didn't see that one coming. It's kind of sad. Even though it was probably a goofy little dog. A little foo-foo Hollywood dog. But still, I like dogs.

His name was Norman. I like dogs. So, yeah, I still felt bad for her. As much as I wanted to make fun of her for having a lame tattoo. She's like, well, her dog died.

That sucks. Alright, so I think we're going to wrap up this first episode here. But we will continue back next week with more of our extended coverage from Days of the Dead. And Misty, where do you find them online? Daysofthedead.net Alright.
