We'll be right back. He started to put a little. Curse on me. I said no. He said oh.
Put me back in my tube. All right, so once again, we're out in the world, and I'm on the fly trying to think, what have I seen lately? Now, this pulled up really old ones, and I was in like a fancy new store, which as a movie connoisseur, I'm using that pretty loosely. I think most people will agree. But, okay, as a movie geek enough that I'm still buying physical media like a dork, it still shocks me when new ones come out and they're charging new prices.
I'm like, what year is this? Because this one, it's a Blu-ray at least, and it's a special set, but it's $ 39. 99. And this other one, oh, this one's down to $ 29. 99, so.
There were these ones I was in like a regular store and I was just like, wait, The Awakening. It's a mummy movie with Charlton Heston. What the hell? So I'm like. I want to watch this weird mummy movie with Charlton Heston in it.
And is he going to start talking about God at some point? Because as he got older, he veered into let's talk about the Bible a whole lot. He played God's little buddy one time. He did cross paths with the Jesus dude, so maybe that's it. Maybe at that point he really crossed paths with Jesus.
And he was like, oh, I've been doing this wrong all along. I thought it was all about apes. Turns out it's the Lord. We all pick our own religion. I'm kind of leaning towards the apes, but whatever.
So there was that one, but also the. The Invisible Man appears. Oh. Which I think when I looked it up is like a Japanese version of the Invisible Man saga, like inspired by old school Universal. And then Japan was like, we can do our stuff.
So, yeah. Are there giant flying robots in it? I'm going to guess. I mean, there's got to be a kaiju by the end. So, I mean, sooner or later we get to all the good stuff, but also Invisible Men.
So, these are things we could be watching. If you don't give us a better option. Although I'd rather watch both of those. I think you should join the club and give us either of those two movies. And I don't know that we'll buy them for full price.
But we'll see what we can do. We'll find them somewhere. We'll find something to watch. Otherwise we just pick our own nonsense for the holidays and then we say things like this. And nobody's happy.
And nobody's happy. So I mean it could go downhill really fast but so far it's really fun it's kind of like succession. But like family drama but spooky. Your eyeballs are always wet you know that oh go ahead touch them touch your eyeball bet it feels wet. Friends at home touch your eyeball.
But he's one of the creepy ghosts, and he looks like a creepy ghost the whole time. He looks like a creepy ghost anyway. If he bothered to show up on set, they covered him up, and you can't tell. So I was like, you could have gotten anybody. Why did you bother to pay him to show up?
Because you can't tell it's him. It's just a creepy ghost, and he looks like CGI. So what are we doing? What are we doing here? The really horrifying thing in that movie was Anne Margaret.
Well, she's disturbing as Anne Margaret. She is just a crazy woman. I just wanted a little box that said, I want to eat your brain. And I didn't, and now I sort of regret it. I think it warped my brain as a child, and that's why I am the weirdo.
Warped or molded. We'll say both. I think it's the reason I am the way I am today. And by mold, I mean that stuff on the bathroom wall. I'm legally barred from beatboxing.
That's probably for the best. Yeah, it really is. So, we once again will refer to a specific member of the cast for certain specifics. Oh, you guys are getting so many period stories. Yes!
Fantastic. I had no idea what I was walking into. I was not expecting anything great. But within the first 30 seconds, I was smiling so hard. My face hurt.
At a certain point, I forgot that I was surrounded by other people. I was so engrossed in it. Yeah, it was amazing. And it is weird, you know, but it's weird. I would hope so, really.
It's weird in its own context. And it's like equal parts John Waters and Frankenstein and My Fair Lady, oddly enough. All good things. Yeah. Arguably longer than it needs to be.
For what I guess would still be considered a kid's movie, it's like two hours long. Oh, wow. A lot of story in something that's based around a ride that. If I remember, doesn't really have a story. It's got creepy gimmicks to it, but not really a running overall tale that we're telling.
It's just kind of. I would be okay with a tale on a girl, I think. But in this movie, I thought it was, when they show it the first time, I was like, that's so adorable. I know. I was like, oh, God, once again, oh.
There's only one scene, and I don't want to give too much away, but there's one scene that kind of takes you out of the whole story. And you're like, what's going on? And I can only sum it up as interspecies woodland creature orgy. Oh. Hot.
Who knew being spiteful could be so much work? I'm ignoring the fact that Philip has stuck a gummy onto his forehead. It won't come off. Oh, it's going to morph into your head now. And then blood everywhere.
And it was like, why does that lady in the woods have antlers? And again, that's right before the orgy scene. Yeah, the suicide montage was adorable. It was great. Sorry, Mothman showed up.
He would understand. I mean, I guess you have like the list, right? Like, if I run into any of these celebrities or cryptids, I gotta pass. Sorry, honey. Mothman's here.
Gotta go. Well, his is that he would. Goatman. If an alien came down to Earth and wanted to have sex with him, that I have to allow him to bang the alien. I've got some videos on the internet you can watch.
I feel like that's the sort of thing that you would respond, well, you just go right ahead. Yeah, I'm like, okay. Whether you mean that or not. Like, were that situation to ever come up. Do you get to or are you forced to watch?
I don't want to watch. Maybe for humanity purposes, be like, well, I got to document this for the earth. I mean, go ahead, honey. Let's go. Yeah, I guess.
What's happening? If I get to bang Mothman, then he gets to bang an alien. Anywho, back to werewolves. Anyway, werewolves. And brains.
So, if you'd like to get in on all of that fun, or stop us from saying more things like that, yeah, go to MovieMeltdown.com, join the Meltdown Horror Club, and give us either of the earlier movies mentioned, or come up with your own better option so we don't, you know, say things like that.
