Hi, I'm Leah Thompson. You're listening to Movie Meltdown. It's showtime. The following feature has been rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America. It is intended for mature audiences and parental discretion is advised.

Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million. Kilowatts of power. What's up and. Welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.

I'm Misty. I'm Jay. And we're coming to you live via digital recording from Lexington, Kentucky, home of Scarefest. So how's it going? Pretty good.

How's it going with you? Today was good though we saw people did things it was exciting yeah it was you were like super social today i just have to say i. Know i was like all over the place with my out of control i can't help it with my celebrity encounter or. Just in general in general kind of but even more so with celebrities you were like all over celebrities today. Just the one yeah like three Who else?

You talked to at least three different people today. Oh, yeah, I did. I forgot the other one's name, though. That's why I was looking up. So where would you like to begin with your celebrity encounters?

I would like to start with Billy Worth. Because, as we all know, I have a crush on Billy Worth. You know this boyfriend. I'm not surprised. Yeah.

I feel like even on the show, you've brought. It up before. He's a delightful person. And I was on the edge. I'm like, do I want to spend money?

Because I already have his autograph, but I want to spend like, it's like $ 40 just for a selfie, which I mean. But at that point you hadn't met him. I had not. And then I did. And I just want to say, if you get the chance to show Billy Worth your boyfriend getting his ribs broken, you should take that chance.

I mean, he was a delight before that, but that made it extra special. Because yeah, he was just, he was so nice. And he was like, you know, I can't even words. Cause I was up there. Cause I was, I was like, you know me, I'm a big old American gladiator nerd.

Cause I love me some American gladiator. So I got up there and he was like, he actually had an American gladiator picture. And I'm like, dude, I was wondering if you were going to have the American gladiator picture. Cause I mean, I mean, honestly, chances are you see Billy worth you. All you're going to think of is lost boys.

I mean, it's, it's, I would say it's the one that's the most mainstream, well-known of his movies. Not that he hasn't done a plethora. He has done a quite plethora of movies. All of which you own on VHS. At least until they quit making VHS.

I've got a lot of Billy Worth VHS. Do I have a VCR? No, I do not. Well, I probably do. It's in the closet.

That's beside the point. I have tons of VHS, but I haven't had a working VCR in years. But anyways, yeah, so he told me some stories from American Gladiators, and he talked to Boyfriend about skateboarding. So what's really funny is the entire time we were there, I don't think we mentioned Lost Boys. No, we didn't.

We talked about American Gladiators and skateboarding. Eventually it edged into some surfing, you know. We should have asked him if he served. He didn't mention it. He did mention surfing in general, but he didn't.

He seems like he would be a surfer. He seems like he was very proud of his athletic abilities on American Gladiators. I mean, if you're getting on American Gladiators, you better have some athletic abilities. And I'm assuming he did and everybody else there. Because, yeah, I mean, he did really good on the show.

It was like first season still. But, you know, his performance on American Gladiators is still, to this day, I'm impressed. I couldn't have done that shit. I mean, everything they did on there was pretty impressive. Yeah.

Weird sometimes compared to like, you know, your normal activities. But that's what made them awesome was because they were crazy things that you had to go do on American Gladiators. I love that show. Until they got weird like later. Yeah.

When they got rid of like the gladiators that I knew and brought in like different gladiators. And I'm like, no, I don't know you guys. Get on out of here. And they changed the setup and everything like that. They changed the whole feel, the whole vibe.

Yeah, it just kind of messed everything up. It's just not the same. Who else did I talk to? I talked to that one guy, and he was telling stories. I liked that guy.

Well, we started with Ira. Ira was Ira Heaton. If I'm saying that wrong, Ira, I apologize. But actually, both the guys were from Nightmare on Elm Street 3. So Ira was the one that was friends with Brandon Lee.

So we started with him. Yeah. So he said they hung out and played cards and stuff, right? Yeah, yeah. He said Brandon was a really bad poker player.

Yeah. And you're talking about they're making a documentary. Yeah, they're getting ready to make a documentary on him, which is pretty awesome because I told him I was like a big Brandon Lee fan before The Crow just because, you know, growing up I was a Bruce Lee fan and to find out that, hey, he's got a son and his son does martial arts and his son's in movies and stuff. And so I was telling him about how I had to get our friend Lee to get me a copy of Legacy of Rage when she was over in Asia because you couldn't get it here in the United States. Eventually, you know, you could get Laser Mission because Laser Mission popped up kind of in the dollar bin.

There were a lot of cheap EP copies on VHS that we sold back in the day. I don't know if you could get a good copy of it. It always came as the crappy EP version for like $ 9. 99. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I bought mine at Suncoast.

Probably. And they weren't great copies. Eventually it showed up on DVD. And then eventually he got in an actual pretty big movie. He got in Rapid Fire.

Rapid Fire was a big deal. Which one was.... Showdown in Little Tokyo. No. Showdown.

Pop-Tarts. More Pop-Tarts. Oh, that's right, because he did Showdown in Little Tokyo. Was it? Yeah.

Yeah, Showdown in Little Tokyo with Dolph Lundgren, which has got one of the most cringiest lines in it ever. Come on. You've got the biggest dick I've ever seen on a man. I was like, really? You're going to write that in there?

Who wrote this movie? Dolph Lundgren. Did he, like, insert that line? Yeah, Dolph Lundgren's like, hey, here's 20 bucks. Just work this in.

Yeah, yeah. Like, thanks. You know, and so, yeah, there's that. And then he did Rapid Fire. Hold on, what was the line again?

I'm not going to say it again. He did Rapid Fire with Wilkes Powers Booth, you know. tarts yeah that's the pop tarts that's the pop tarts. One i love that one i don't know why. Sorry it's gonna be coughing. In here the ribs really are broken yeah they are.

Well you didn't go into. That no i'm gonna go into that later um but uh yeah i talked about how i was a fan before the crow and then the crow came out uh i was a big fan of that and You know, had the crow trunk. I still have the crow trunk. It's actually up against the wall. It's got a bunch of stuff on top of it.

It's got a TV on it. It's got a TV on it right now. The crow trunk has been sealed for a long time. But it contains just about, I think, every single thing that was crow related that you could have bought at Suncoast. And also from the crow motion picture catalog.

So I bought everything out of that as well. So, so he said they're making a documentary. Was it like somebody he knew? I think he said, yeah, I think that's what he said. Uh, he told me to follow him on Instagram so that I could get updates on when they were going to be releasing the documentary.

So, uh, that'd be interesting. Yeah. That could be very interesting. It seems like they would have done a full fledged one. I mean, we had sort of the, I watched that like, cursed movies thing on the so like we've had little bits and pieces but like it seems like they would have done a.

Whole yeah you know i mean i think i think now's probably they couldn't have done it back then because i don't think anybody really cared but i think the crow has gotten enough of a cult following especially the first one because i mean if you're like me There is no other Crow movie aside from the first one. I don't give a fuck about any of the other ones. I've never seen any other ones, nor do I ever want to see any other ones. You're not missing much. I'm not.

I don't care. And my friend Larry said when they did the second one, he goes, you're going to see it. And I'm like, dude, you don't know me. You don't know how much I am just... The fact that you even said I'm going to see it is going to make me not even see it even more.

So, you know, don't tell me that shit. I'm not going to see it. I'm not going to see any of them. You know? So.

I don't even know where I was going with that. But I think now that it's gotten cult status, I think more people are interested in his life. And maybe a lot of people don't know that he did other movies aside from The Crow. We even saw somebody dressed up as The Crow today. Yeah, that guy was tall.

He was. He was very tall. Super tall. He was standing next to me in one of the toy booths. And I was just like, good God, this guy's fucking huge.

So the other guy we talked to is Bradley Gregg, who is also in Stand By Me. I was super excited. I mean, because your buddy Floyd got his autograph. Yeah. Because he was in one of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies.

Yeah. I mean, I'm just kind of like following behind. And I was just like, dude, I just want to tell you. Yeah. You have no idea how many summers that me and my cousins... spent out in the woods looking for dead bodies because of Stand By Me.

And she's not making that up. I totally buy this story. Me, Stevie, and Aaron would be out in the woods looking for dead bodies. We had our sticks ready. I was going to say, I can see you poking it with a stick.

We had sticks, but we never found the dead body. And then I told the guy, I'm like, and here, grow up, and I fucking live next door to a serial killer. Dead bodies were right across the street. I know. And then this guy goes on to tell us stories about, like, apparently dead bodies he's encountered along the way, you know.

That he blocked out, oddly enough. You know? He sort of forgot about it until after he made Stand By Me. He was like, wait, I kind of had something happen like this to me. Oh, yeah, that was, yeah.

I did not remember that when I was making this movie. So, yeah, we were trading dead people stories. That guy, you're awesome. He was very cool and seemed a little taken aback that you lived across the street from a serial killer. He did.

I didn't even know you guys were talking about that. We were. Because he was talking about this guy that he went to school with, apparently, like, in the middle of the class. He was, like, one of the super smart kids or something, wasn't he? Yeah, they were, like, the smart kids would hang out after school and, like, study for the next upcoming advanced test or something.

And, like, one of the times the cops showed up in the middle of class. Yeah. Because apparently the guy had killed his dad and buried him in his backyard. And that's why I was like, dude, my boyfriend was in the backyard. You weren't far away because she pointed to you.

He was right there. He was in our neighbor's backyard while he was burying the body. While he was digging the hole. What was I doing? You were talking to Floyd.

Oh, I was talking to Floyd. You're like, hey, that's a big hole. What's going on? Yeah. He's like, don't worry about it.

You're burying bodies back here? Yeah. No. He told me... He was doing landscaping.

Six-foot hole. Yeah, you know, I mean, it made sense to me because he did do landscaping in the neighborhood. He did a lot of landscaping. He did a lot of landscaping, yeah. So he's digging a hole, and I'm like, okay, well, you know, he's probably putting some bushes in by his bedroom, you know, not knowing that.

Next to that rolled up carpet. Yeah, he's putting that girl's body in the ground next to his bedroom so that he could keep her close to him. Oh, sure. That's romantic. Yeah.

Crazy. Yeah, that guy was awesome. Forget about that. What was his name again? I don't remember.

Seriously, though, Stand By Me is a fucking classic. Bradley Gregg. He was very cool. Bradley Gregg. I don't remember who exactly he was.

Wasn't he one of the, he was one of Kiefer's friends? Yeah, he was one of the, what was Kiefer's name in that? Snake-A-Ace? Ace. I don't know why I get snake eyes.

This isn't G.I. Joe. He was Ace. Oh, man. But, yeah, he was one of those other kids hanging out with him.

I was like, dude, that's such a good movie. It was still, like, one of the most, like, movies that had the biggest influence on my life because I was literally out in the woods looking for dead bodies because of that movie. Waiting to poke it with a stick. I had my stick and my body poke it. I think we all had sticks.

I do believe we probably ended up just fighting with them more. Than likely you know somebody got a poked in the eye. I'm the only one that survived jeez we saw Felisa Rose there wearing the shortest skirt yeah you know what she looks good I don't. Care she's still she's still showing it off. Making sure making sure you know that she doesn't have a penis.

Yeah just making sure people yeah hey look that was a movie that was just a movie. Look at me I'm very attractive and look at my skirt she's beautiful She looks good. Who else did we see that was... I never did see Juliette Lewis. Yeah, she had a bunch of stuff going on.

I saw her table, but... I thought Brian had said that she had to leave or something. Well, she was doing... Because they were on the announcements. She was doing a Q & A type thing at one point, and then she was doing photo ops.

So it's like, I think she was out doing all her other stuff. Oh, yeah, yeah. So, yeah. Who else did we see that I said was beautiful? Was it...

Actually, Lawrence. Yeah, we've seen her a few times, but she was there today. She's beautiful. And then. Was it Ronnie Blakely or Blakey?

I don't remember her name. Oh, yeah, from Nightmare One. The mom? Was she the mom? She's hardcore, man.

She's, like, old school Hollywood. Like, she's got some stories. I've seen her at a different con and was at the Q & A. And, like, she just sort of, like, would tease at her, like, old school Hollywood. Like, look, I was there during the real days and, like, Here's how some stuff went down.

So, like, she didn't really go into it back on that one. So, I'm sure if you stood at her table, she'd have some stories for you. I bet she would. She was hardcore, man. I saw Doug Bradley.

He was there being cool as always. Doug Bradley's always cool. Love that guy. Now, the one I said looked amazing was Kim Myers, who's in Nightmare 2. And I'm like, yeah, she's looking good.

No complaints there. She was very attractive. We got bracelets flung at us from, I don't know who he was. I think he was like a stuntman type guy. Or like an effects dude.

And what does it say? What would Freddy do? Which is the most appropriate question as far as I'm concerned. Because I don't care about that other character people are always asking about. Burl Ives?

Yeah. He'd just go to Rock Candy Mountain and eat cigarettes or whatever you do there. Candy Mountain, Charlie. Candy Mountain. Kane Hodder he's always there though.

I mean I said it again I'm like there's this big old line I'm like who doesn't have Kane Hodder's autograph if you go to these shows maybe it was just a bunch of people who've never been out to a show before but it's like man how do you not have Kane Hodder's autograph if you care like I don't even know and then there was one point right when we got there that I looked over and there was just a bunch of nerds congregating around a trash can I was like, what is going on over there? And soon enough, some other nerd became one of the nerds very quickly. I want to know what's going on at the trash can. So what was going on? There were cards.

They have a card game, which I don't intend to actually play. I don't know if it's similar to Magic the Gathering. I feel like we decided they used to just be collector cards. And now they've made them kind of like playing type magic cards, Pokemon cards. But they got pictures on them.

Of movie peoples and horror peoples. Encrypted. A lot of people that were there and stuff like that. I want to go check out the trash can art. Let's go.

I want to know what's going on. I want to hang out with the cool kids at the trash can. We weren't digging in the trash can. No, they weren't in it. It was one of those old school cafeteria style where it's flat on the top and you throw stuff in the side.

On the top, they just dumped a whole bunch of crazy trading cards and nerds were going through them and it was super exciting. Yeah. But everybody was being kind of cool about it. They were like, here, look at this one. Nobody was fighting or anything.

Oh, that came later. Probably. But while we were there, everybody was like, hey, cool, check this out. So they were fun nerds. Is that Cornholio?

Are you affecting me? So, yeah, you were going around looking for cards the rest. Of the day. I got suckered into a side quest. They scattered them about.

So, you know, you had to look for different ones, different places. Keep your eyes on the move. Um, let's see. At one point, there was some screaming going on. I looked up and was like, huh, just a zombie eating some children.

It's fine. Yeah, that happens here at the Half Price bookstore, apparently. Oh, wait, no, that zombie was a child. Yeah, when we came out, there were kids, like, just screaming and making weird zombie noises running down the street. We really were pretty sure a zombie apocalypse had kicked in.

It's like, is this the beginning of every horror movie? Does that make it okay to kick kids if they're zombies? If they're zombies, it's fine. But if you do it thinking they're zombies and then you're wrong, it's not going to go well. But how will they know?

It's hard to make sure without getting bit. That's the delicate balance you're in. I mean, they can't have me like a zombie. What did you think was going to happen? You should have taught your kid zombie etiquette.

I mean, that is important. Please learn your zombie etiquette. Sexy Pyramid Head. You can ask your question again. When did Sexy Pyramid Head become a thing?

Well, I mean, I guess it was since the convention wave that we've been writing all these years. We've watched it sort of come about. And I guess it was always like a shirtless or mostly shirtless dude, right, in the game? Mm-hmm. I don't know much about games.

I don't play games. But now it's just become like, how can I be a hot dude and then also cover up my head? And then it's become like, you can be whatever you want. Guy, girl, whatever. Just as long as you're scantily clad and you have a big thing on your head.

Because there's like, I mean, you see sexy Freddy. And then there's... This gives all the butterfaces a chance. Get sexy Michael Myers. I'm super hot, but nobody wants to see my head.

What if I could cover my head with a big thing? A bag head's not a thing yet. Unknown comics make it a comeback, man. It's just a matter of time. So I guess everybody's just like, hey, you know what?

Pyramid head. That's something that you don't see every day. Unless you go to conventions. Yeah, unless you go to conventions. But, I mean, you know, for a while there was like a sexy pinhead.

And, of course, now, like the past couple of movies, there's been sexy Pennywise. I mean, plus all those cool dog outfits we saw. Dog outfits? We also stopped at the Spirit Store. I know you guys are shocked.

We're the kind of nerds that would go to the spirit store. All the costumes for dogs. But yeah, the costumes for dogs were awesome. Oh, okay. I thought you were talking about dog costumes.

For furries? Well, there was that one furry type character there, but I think they were probably from some sort of anime. But would you say that the dog costumes were sexy? I mean, that one was. Fucking weirdo bestiality is illegal in kentucky.

Yeah is it really let's check the bylaws like she was dressed up like a slutty uh was it pyramid head i couldn't it's not my fault your. Honor i mean look at that creepy and. Now pete is gonna be. After us I'm just saying the dog costumes were cool. Yeah.

What was the one? The one was like a little lobster. It was hilarious. We were just looking at the packages laughing like idiots. You were looking at the dog's packages.

I mean. Hold that look, boyfriend. Rightfully so. Anyway, back to the weirdos at the convention. So who else did we see?

We saw Michael. Michael. Michael. Michael. Michael.

You're talking about the real person now. Yeah. Not just the cosplayer. Because we saw rubber mask Michael too. There was a lot of rubber masks of Michael.

But I'm just saying we saw. But we actually saw for real Michael, Michael, Michael. What's his name? Patrick. Related to the guy from fucking Honeymooners.

What's his name? Jason Patrick. I got part of it right. Jason Patrick. Ha ha.

See, it was in there. I got the Patrick part. It was in there. It's just my brain doesn't really work so much. Is it the great-grandchild of Jackie Gleason or something?

I think it's just grandchild. I don't know. Because his mom... What did we see her? She wasn't at the convention, so.

No, she's in Alice, Sweet Alice. That's when I first figured that out. Maybe I'd heard it before and forgot, but when we watched Alice, Sweet Alice... I was watching the behind-the-scenes stuff, and it's talking to her, and then they mention her dad is Jackie Gleason, and then her son is Jason Patrick. So, I think it's just his granddad was Jackie Gleason.

Crazy. Who would have known? Didn't even... Yeah. He sneakily changed his last name, and we weren't even aware.

And he's a vampire. Or did... Was she married, and that got the last name changed to his name? Do we want to check? No, we don't need to know.

Who else did we see? We saw Kane Hodder. We talked about... I saw Doofy. I didn't see Dewey.

Yeah, I think he was... I saw his table. I don't remember if I saw him. I saw David Faustino's brother. Michael Faustino.

I mean, I was going to say, are you sure it's him? But I guess how many Faustinos are there that aren't related? No, it is legitimately his brother. He's in Monster Squad. He was walking around vaping in the fucking convention.

I'm like, dude. That's against the rules. He was also in an episode of Married with Children. Well, of course. You got the inside track.

Well, otherwise, have you seen anything lately? We started watching Scream Queens again because I love that show. It has been a long time since I started watching it and then I got sidetracked or didn't have the channel. I don't even remember it's been so long what I was watching it on at the time. It's on Hulu.

I could maybe revisit it. I don't know. There's just not enough time to watch stuff anymore. It's so worth it. Emma Roberts, dude.

With her little flaily arms. It's all worked up. We were talking earlier about how sad it is that time goes by really fast, because that's the other thing. I follow her online, and I see posts and pictures, and I'm just like, she's like a grown-up. What the hell?

She's like a mom and stuff now. What's going on? William and Robert's all grown up, and now she's like a mom. Just disturbing, really. But she's still gorgeous.

She's pretty damn cool. I like her posts. It just weirds me out when she's a grown-up. Like, aren't you like 12? What are you doing?

We went back and watched Night of the Creeps. Oh, yeah, we did. I didn't remember seeing it the first time. Yeah. I know you saw it.

We discussed it. Yeah. I didn't remember. We went back and watched Night of the Creeps. I like that movie.

It's a great movie. It's a lot of fun. Oh, we saw him, too. Tom Atkins was there. Yeah, Tom Atkins was there.

Thrill me. I was just like, dude. Thrill me. Over and over again. It's like a If you take a shot every time he says thrill me, you'd have like a fucking...

You'd be drunk. You might be dead. Yeah, you might be dead. It seems like we watched another movie, but I can't remember what it was. Other than watching Final Destination.

Did we talk about the last Final Destination on the podcast? I still haven't seen it, so you can't ruin anything. We might have brought it up, because I remember talking about being sad about Tony Todd. But I don't think I'd seen it yet. We were still sad about Well, it's because Tony Todd's awesome.

It's, like, what's the word I'm looking for? Justifiable to be said that Tony Todd is no longer among us, especially since I never got around to getting the Candyman photo shoot. It's also weird, like, going to places like that, because that is where, like, I talked to him there. Like, that convention is where I saw him probably the most, and definitely when I, like, hung out and talked to him for a little while. But Ken Faree was there.

Yeah. Ken Faree was still there. He's hanging in there. Um... Boyfriend still did not get his $ 3 from Tom Savini.

No. That's true. He was there. Because if I ever get my $ 3 in the running joke. It was like, one of these days, he's going to kick off and get away with it.

Yeah, I don't care. He will have fully pulled those shenanigans. He would have escaped. Have we watched anything else besides me watching my murder shows? Yeah, I watched Gleam in the Cube.

Nice. Classic. Yeah. Because I'd never seen that before. No.

Watched Gleam in the Cube. I went back and watched Back to the Future. Just the original? Just the original. And the only reason that we watched it, we watched it at the skate shop.

Kind of like half watched it. But the reason that we watched it is because the 40th anniversary of Back to the Future is coming up. And Valterra and Madrid Skateboards released a limited edition Marty board. So the actual people who made the board from Back to the Future redid the whole thing, redid the molds and everything for the wheels. And they produced 2,025 of the complete skateboards for worldwide consumption.

And these are 99.99% screen accurate, all the way down to the stickers. So they had brought a model out in 2019, but it wasn't 100 screen accurate or it wasn't very screen accurate because they had lost the molds for the wheels and the sticker uh they used a different ink for the stickers so they didn't come out the right color it's like nerd shit right here but uh so they actually got the madrid boards in and so uh i think for the release party on the 21st uh i believe it's the 21st um I mean, hell, Madrid, I think they only have 50 boards for their release party. But my friend Floyd ended up getting, I think, six. Six of the original boards. So, of course, I got one.

And my buddy owns a skate shop. He got one, too. But they also have finger boards for people that don't want to. Break their ribs? That doesn't have anything to.

Do with that. I mean, I would, so that's a good reason for me to not get one. I guess if you don't want to stand on one and fall over, then yeah. But I didn't break my ribs falling over on a Madrid board. Well, now I think they've officially made everything.

They've made a version of the shoes. They've made his shiny hat and his backwards pants. Yeah. Your weird jacket. Like, so you can officially have all the different things now and spend a fortune doing it.

They made the hoverboards too, which I didn't know. Yeah. I mean, not quite exactly. Well, yeah, they don't, as close as you can get now. But yeah, that the Madrid board, it's kind of a big deal for people that in the skate scene. because like uh back in the day you didn't really have skateboarding show up in major motion pictures in a fairly positive light um i mean aside from like maybe gleaming the cube and thrashing but just the damn skateboard punks So we were just excited any time anything popped up with skateboarding in it, like Back to the Future or Police Academy, Citizens on Patrol, that had skateboarding in it.

We were pretty excited about that. That is quite a sliding scale there. Yeah. Well, you know, like I said, when you don't have skateboarding and you don't have access to skate videos, it's not like it is now. Yeah, you're not just bringing it up on your phone.

Yeah, kids don't understand that. You couldn't just be like, I want to sit down and watch Tony Hawk. I want to watch this. I want to watch that and then just go to YouTube. It's not how it happened.

You didn't have any skateboarding, no skateboarding videos whatsoever. And you might see something on TV. And if you kind of knew about it, you might be able to record it. So we were just at the time to try to deconstruct how you do tricks because there was no. Skateboarding for dummies.

No, I mean, there was nobody was tons of gatekeeping back then. So nobody was going to show you how to do stuff. If you learned how to do stuff, you know, you kept that shit to yourself and people were like, how the hell did you do that? And you're like, figure it out yourself. You don't need to know.

Yeah. I'm just cooler than you, you know, cause you took all that time and try to figure it out, you know, but, uh, now it's different. Now you got all these people and tutorials and shit like that on YouTube showing you how to do everything, which is awesome. Um, but should I get into the story of how I broke my ribs? I mean, I guess it's a follow-up because the last time you were on was the revelation of, Hey, I think I'm going to, you know, learn how to skate again.

Oh, reintroduce myself to skating. I'm pretty sure. Yeah. I think that's the last time. Oh, okay.

All right. So let's see how it's going. Oh yeah. It's, uh, so, uh, so I've been skating pretty regularly. Uh, and I decided, uh, since most of my younger life when I was skating, I was strictly a street, um, street skater just cause we didn't have any skate parks or anything like that around us.

And, uh, nobody I knew had a ramp. Um, so we just kind of took it to the streets with a Z. Yeah. Cause we were from the streets, but, uh, you know, now it's like, I haven't skated vert or anything like that. And so my original thing was like, I would like to drop in.

I'd like to learn how to drop in at, you know, 52 for my birthday. And then it progressed of not being satisfied with that to, you know what? I think I want to skate mini ramp. I want to learn how to skate mini ramp. And so the skate shop that's right down the street from our house, they have a small skate park inside and he's got a mini ramp in there and a micro ramp.

And so I was like, I'm going to start learning how to skate micro ramp. And I started probably about four weeks ago. And I've been progressing pretty fast, learning like a lot of lip tricks and stuff like that. And I think it was like last week I learned how to do spine transfers, which anybody that doesn't know what a spine is, it's where two half pipe ramps meet. So it makes this kind of, you know, if you think of two ramps, the point is the spine.

And so I learned how to transition across that pointy part. Um, I've seen the videos. Yeah. Pretty impressive. Minus that last one.

The rest of it, I was like, all right, all right. You're staying upright. You're doing good. I don't want to do any of this. I'm going to bust myself in so many ways.

Yeah. So I was, I was trying to push it. So, uh, uh, I could transfer the spine to the second ramp in the back and was just kind of doing tricks on that back ramp. And then I'd stop, but, I was like, my goal was to spine transfer, do tricks, and then spine transfer back so that I could do more tricks on the main ramp in the front room. And I kind of pushed myself to get up over the spine and I hung up and my board shot out from underneath me and I landed.

I fell probably about three or four feet. and landed on my, on my side on, on the top of the spine ramp. Yeah. It wasn't cool. It was, it sucked. It really did.

Yeah. So again, you can watch the video. So yeah, it sucks. Yeah. Well, they're not going to know where it is, but.

I'm just saying you as a person, anyone. That is, you know, Yeah, if you're friends with me, you can see the video. It's on my Instagram. Or if you have footage. It's not like it's a story you're telling.

You can watch yourself break a wrist. It's a pretty hard slam. I've got a lot of friends. One of my friends sent it to a bunch of his buddies, his old skate buddies in California, and they were like, holy shit, yeah, that's a hard slam. That's Billy Worth's same impression.

Yeah, Billy Worth's like, holy shit. That was the way you went out on the Billy Worth. You were like, oh, we got footage of it. We're talking about skating. Yeah, we got footage.

And then he saw it and was like, oh, I know how that hurts. I broke one. I'm surprised I only broke one and fractured another. So I'm surprised it's only that many because it felt like a lot more than that. But it's funny because I just got over breaking my ribs on or breaking another rib on the curb in the garage in June.

So I was. Trying board slides on that, like board slides. And, yeah, I fell and hit my back on the edge of the curb and broke a rib on that. And then I broke my toe at Silver Street Skateboards. What is that?

Emma Roberts in the head of a shark. So, yeah, this passed. This past six months have been a lot of pain. So if you're thinking you'd like to find new ways to hurt yourself, take up skateboarding. You know, part of my problem is I push myself really hard.

And when you used to skate, you remember all the things you used to do. Your muscle memory is there, but the muscles are different. So I'm trying to get way ahead of myself. And I think it's a lot easier for people that haven't skated because they know they have to take things in steps. They have to progress slowly and stuff.

Your brain is trying to go back to 30, 40 years ago. Yeah, and I'm just like, I'm like 360 kid flip. Of course, I call them tray flips now. That's another thing. All the language and the lingo is all backwards now.

Kids changing things. kids will know I'm old because I'll say stuff like, you know, doing an Ollie one footer or doing an Ollie North. And kids are like, what, what is he talking about? You know, pressure flips. They call it something else now, you know? Yeah.

Everybody's like, who's this old guy fucking using these outdated terms. But yeah, that's how, that's how I broke my ribs. So that's how all the jokes have come about. It sucks. Yeah.

It's not fun. I do not recommend. And I didn't even do it. No. I had to be the one in the urgent care being like, oh, I want to see those x-rays.

Yeah. I have to hear all the sounds he makes in pain. I want to see how broken he is on the inside. Yeah. We're going to put him on the refrigerator.

Yeah. I guess I could print him out. You could. Yeah. Make magnets.

Yeah. Make stickers to put on your helmet. Oh, yeah, I could. That'd be cool. His boyfriend's too nice to ask people to see his x-rays.

I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa. We're leaving? Not until I see the inside. Yeah. I want to see how broken you are.

And let's show the nurse that video, too. That was your idea. And she went, oh! Oh, yeah, the nurse kind of winced at it as well. That's when you know it's good.

Everybody goes, oh! Yeah. Yeah, I think Billy Worth, like, dropped your phone. He's like, ah! He was, like, recoiling and grabbing his own side.

He was like, ah, no! So, yeah, that's how you know it's good. Yeah. No skateboarding for me. You should take it up.

It's obviously fun times. I think not. Like, even as a dumb kid, I wanted, again, I saw Back to the Future and went, yes, skateboarding. And then I bought a super cheap skateboard and went, no, not skateboarding. This doesn't stay upright at all.

And neither do I. We used to just sit on them and ride down the hill into a bush. I kind of remember doing that. I know my cousin had one before that that I remember doing that. But she had one of those super narrow, like, 70s ones.

Those, like, little bitty ones. I at least had the big wide 80s one that I bought. Yeah, I did not get much use out of that. Because I learned real quick. Nope, this is not going to go well.

So instead of skateboarding, I actually haven't. Well, again, I've restructured. Because I was watching shows at a specific time. And then I'd switch things. So now I'm not watching as many movies.

Because I'm trying to catch up on shows. So the one I just caught up on is Wednesday. Have you watched any of the Wednesdays? Nope. Well, I like it.

I gotta say, the second one... the only thing I had kind of heard people had an issue with, because they definitely work in the parents. Everybody liked that the parents were in the first season, but they weren't a big focus of it. So I think they realized that and were like, let's find a way to work them in. So even though it takes place at school, they work in her entire rest of her family, essentially. So mom and dad are there the whole time.

Brother goes to school with her now. So like everybody's kind of there. It's the whole family again. But that's the thing that I feel like people were like, because they're having issues in the family now. And like people are like, oh, that's not how the Addams family is.

They always got along. And I was like, well, who cares? If you want to watch the old show, go watch it. I was like, I think I like this because basically it's all friction between her and mom. And I was like, yeah. this is a real story about a teenage girl because you and your mom are going to have some issues.

And like, I like that they're portraying that like it's not a perfect little happy world. Like she's as many ways she's weird and different, but she's also still kind of a teenage girl. So she's going to have some issues with her mom. Her mom's going to want her to do things different and not fall into the same trap that she did and try to make things better for her. And she's going to be like, screw you, mom.

I'm going to do what I want to do. And like, so that's, A weird version of that is kind of going on, but I don't know. I like it because it's a little more true than some weird happy family that seems abnormal. They're abnormal, but the thing that's true about it is that her and mom, they're having some problems right about now. Who is the mom again on the show?

Is that the Catherine Zeta? Yep, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Again, looks pretty damn good. And I don't know that you can get better casting than Louise Guzman. He is so damn good.

Still want to say your mother's a whore anytime I see him. But now I'm just like, man, he's a great Gomez. He's so the old school drawings. I know a lot of people lost their shits when they saw that it was going to be him. They're like, he's not, was it Raul Julio?

Yeah, Raul Julio. Or even like, what's his face from the show? Aston. John Aston. John Aston, yeah.

Not John Aston either. And I was like, well. Again, John Astin was kind of the wrong casting. People got to like him because he's silly and he's fun on the show. He's not really super hot.

I mean, he's goofy. But he also isn't like, you know, he's a white person. That's the thing. In the comic, he's not. It's just they didn't bother to go into that.

It's just sort of a minor thing. But I'm like, they actually realistically cast him this time. Number one, he's the right ethnicity. Weird looking. He looks like the guy.

Go back and look at it. Gomez was not like... Again, he doesn't match his wife. She's tall and slender and beautiful, and he's just a short, weird-looking dude that's into weird stuff. That's why they're a fun couple together.

They just look weird together. These two together fit perfectly. It's really well done. He's so damn likable on the show. I like his casting.

It's on the Netflix, though, isn't it? It is. I had to re... because I got like I was like I'm not even watching anything on this and then that one came back I was like damn it and next it'll be Stranger Things so I guess for a while I gotta coast it out but. I'll wait until it comes back and then maybe I'll get it for a month but and then I'll forget to cancel it and get stuck with it for two months and then try to figure out what. Else I need to watch that's how they sucker you in but yeah I was I was glad I watched it and Tim Burton's back from a lot of the directing so it really does have his kind of I mean the whole thing has his aesthetic anyway but it definitely I'm glad to see him back doing Something cool, directing-wise.

How long has it been since he's done something cool? I mean, the last movies were not. What was the last movie? I don't remember. Well, that's the thing.

You probably haven't seen him. He's made several other movies since then, several of which people were like, yeah, it was fine. Even his fans aren't as angry at him as they used to be, but they're watching big eyes going, yeah, I mean, it's a movie, whatever. Oh, that one about the artist. Yeah.

Which, again, I haven't watched yet. And I like, you know, his old stuff. But I'm like, I looked at the trailer. I was like, yeah, whatever. I'll get to it eventually.

So, yeah, I think he did more stuff like that. And I think Dumbo, which is a little more of his cheesy. Like the elephant movie? Yeah. He did a live action version of Dumbo, which, again, I have not gotten to yet.

And I'm not in a big hurry because it looked like the other cheesy stuff that he did. So I was kind of glad to see him go back to doing something cool like Wednesday. So, yeah. Wednesday's super cool. I liked it.

Anything else? I watched the three-part Death in 306, which is about what I'm pretty sure is an actual murder and not a suicide, because how are you getting stabbed? Okay, I'm sorry. How are you getting stabbed 20 times, 10 times of those, in your back? You are very limber.

And then they ruled it a suicide. It's on. It's quite a big Ellen Greenberg. We're going to break down some true crime. She was stabbed.

She was in a relationship with her boyfriend. They were getting married. And he broke down the door and found her in the kitchen because she stabbed herself to death. Because that happened in your back. How do you get stabbed?

In the back of the head. In the neck. I guess you could. I don't think it's a good idea. Even if you're trying to kill yourself, there's way more convenient ways to do it.

And then his family came in and took her cell phone and her laptop. That is suspicious as all good. I am sorry, but there is no way that she killed herself. So his family showed up and took her laptop. Sketchy as hell.

And her cell phone. And I'm like, wait, what? What time frame? Is this like modern day? It was like 15 years ago.

Okay. And were the cops involved as far as we know? Yeah. Because this seems like some, if nothing else, bad police work. Well, because they immediately ruled it a suicide.

So the crime scene investigators were never on the scene. Of course. So they never were on the actual scene because they ruled it a suicide. Scam. The fuck?

I'm not buying any of this. And what else was it that made me mad about the case? Just the whole thing. You all need to check it out because it's frustrating and you'll be saying, what are you thinking? Yeah.

It's called, I think it's Death in 306. It's on the Hulu's. But yeah, like on her computer, like after they were shown that there were searches of like how to kill yourself. But they were like searches that were found like after she. After it happened.

Like, yeah, that's probably not her then, huh? Pretty suspicious. Yeah, that's not even a good cover up. Ten times in the back. But she killed herself.

Because they reopened the case again to, like, okay, we'll go over it one more time. And they ruled it a suicide again. You guys are terrible at your job. Like, last week. Like, last week, they ruled it a suicide again.

Terrible at your job. The worst. Yeah. Because they're saying that she didn't have defensive wounds. Well, you're getting stabbed....

Getting stabbed in the back, it's kind of hard to have defensive wounds. You know? Oh, my God. And the door was broken in. It was latched from the inside.

That was another thing that they ruled it. And there's no way he could have just gone out the window and then bust the door. I'm thinking he broke in twice. Yeah. Because he was downstairs for a while.

I'm thinking he broke in, killed her, went back downstairs to the gym. Came back upstairs. Broke in. That's what I was going to say. I mean, aren't there windows or some other way out?

I mean, couldn't you kill her, lock the door, go out another way, come from the other side, bust the door down and be like, I found her dead. I don't know. It's just fucking stupid. Yeah. Shady.

Check it out. You'll be angry too. Yeah. This is kind of why I stay away from true crime. It's just depressing or infuriating.

Like, as much as I know people love it, like, I'm just like, eh, I'm just going to watch my dumb fictional shows because I don't get mad at those because I know they're fake. It's okay. True crime is just like, ugh, the real world sucks. I don't think that I have anything else. I don't think I've watched anything else.

Billy Worth. Worth it. Do you think he should put that on a sign at a table? He should. Totally worth it.

So that was the highlight of our day, hanging out with Billy Worth for a little while. As we saw him later, and he was walking around with his Polaroid. He was so cool. He was walking around with a Polaroid. He was all retro and shit, man.

Taking his Polaroids. He does post them on the Instagrams every once in a while. So, yep, that was awesome. And you got to meet him and talk to him. And talking about dead bodies with the guy.

And stand by me, which is like full circle. Yep. Now you can meet up with him and go poke a dead body with a stick. Yeah, he knows all about him, apparently. I mean, yeah.

Or now he does, after he blocked it out for a while. Well, otherwise, we had a good time, so we would like to thank Scarefest for letting us come be part of the fun. Yeah. Go to scarefestweekend.com, and you can start planning your trip here next time around. Scarefestweekend.com.

Otherwise, that is about it. Anything else to pass along to people? Don't break a rib. Yeah. Definitely.

Be very careful in your choices in life. Feel free to do what you need to do, but... just know sometimes you gotta be real careful yeah. Bubble wrap that shit head to toe. Yeah otherwise that about does it we will return next time same geek feed thanks for listening bye. Do you want to.

See a dead body? Probably not. Real dark in a cemetery where the soul's like, oh my, what have I become, man, I'm so high. Quit killing my buzz, love drunk in a maze. Like, what have you done, where the hell have you taken me, and what are we running from, demons.

In the back of my closet. Don't talk to them. You want to want to be me? Can't walk to them. And it was in a nice world.

Traumatized and we in a bad headspace. Looking to heaven's door. I've been saved. I have I. Ask for forgiveness.

Can I? Or will I? Negative at heart. Am I? Or shall I?

Explain what the world done to me. You wouldn't understand why I've been truthfully. And these dark thoughts never been new to me. Nobody loving me. Everybody through with me.

Everybody looking at me different. And nobody listen. I can see you staring at me. What do you envision? No faith in me.

Should I resort to religion? But even I can never change the life I'm living. I'm a druggy. I'm a fiend. Never been tempted.

Souls always been tainted. Homeless, what you know about living on a ship? Cold nights, you know, right? Nothing to eat. Figured that you wouldn't give me money anyways, even though I hear the coins rattling in your jeans.

I ain't even begging no more. Fuck it, maybe I'll just beg a little more. But don't judge me. God above me, why do you have me living like a junkie? Fuck, man.

Do you want to see a dead body? Probably not. Dark clouds, nigga, fuck a rainbow. Nobody talking till I say so. I just might sell my soul if it's worth anything, but we'll see how the day goes.

I just might. I just might. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know.

This ain't. The beginning, I ain't even come close. Bear-robin' activity, indulge. Is it very human? I don't think I have a pulse.

Black towel in the time, digga. Black towel in the atmosphere. Thank you. I can never own up to my mistakes. Pops will take me to a higher state.

No escape. I'm trying to find a way. I'm the one that you was trying to save. Please give up. You don't have.

Time to waste. This is real. I've been waiting my whole life to feel. Do you want to see a dead body? No chill.
